its hard to say whats going to be the best parts to use at the moment.
People in the US are using http://www.robotmarketplace.com/product ... MINI2.html
Kenny is also using the Scorpion Mini
and for motors some of the mfa motors at technobots look ok,
Im using a 2x5a sabertooth in my full body spinner.
the 10a syren controllers look ok. anyone used them?
the modified brushless controllers look ok, there will be a few of us using them. might be worth seeing how they hold up over a few fights before alot of people get them.
you could always go for a 2x12a. They are more than capable of running any beetle and are proven to work in feathers so you cant really go wrong with them. and they dont weigh much.
What servo do you use for sloth? Once I figure out costs etc can see if it's worth it
May try and get some parts from the actual bulldog breed in this
Syren controllers are just single channel versions of sabretooths I believe .
180 is using 2 banebots, carbide will be using 2 25a hacked ( Ordered ), and full combat machine will be using a pair of mini scorpions
Im using a sabertooth 12amp, seems to work ok. and Haha, I just weighed the bear components of rocky (no frame mounts or pullys) and it weighs 1.5kg... I need to either need to use some untigravity technology, or lighten every thing, probably have to swap out half of the components, probably have to switch to a brushless spinner motor as that would save about 300 grams, and then lighten the blade. Shame, That brushed motor was seriously meaty and reliable. And the disk would become even less balanced.
Take a video of you breaking some stuff with it first :)
Belts not here yet, so I can't, and it's not finished enough to run, so there is no point, I'll just switch it over, it would be sorted by the time the belts arive.
what ratio mfa motors are people using? thinking of going for the 6:1?
Depends on which type MFA motor you've gone for?
I've gone for 30:1, but since I have 75mm wheels it has a little too much top end.
