Ah, I wasnt too sure of the arena since I havent bothered to read much of the beginning. Oh well, like I said one flip will be all he needs to control the fight.

I think Ill use the pinchers this time to grapple and push Hypertension into the arena disc.
Great fights Rich, and well done to both Matt and Steve:)
AWOOHOO! :proud: Tip-top stuff from Richie as ever and great job by the conqueror of MDU there too. :)
GRAND FINALE
PLAY-OFF
Hypertension Mk 2 (24) VS N.S.B.F.R. X (10)
Another close encounter here, but I think Mr Fowler could be walking home with the bronze medal via a pitting
GRAND FINALE
V.F.T. SEASON 6 FINAL
Storm 2 VS WEDGE DEVOLUTION (27)
Eep. :S
A very simple plan for the final duel - get underneath wherever I can and flip it over once to invert it. DO NOT FLIP BACK. Once upside-down, Storm will have a much harder time ramming me and the increased ground clearance will allow me to slip under n push it about with greater ease. Once the RW World Champ is flipped, waste no time with the disc and just try to get it down the Pit ASAP
Storm wouldve been my preferred opponent no matter of my previous outcome, but Im still not confident. Five failed Finals can do that to a man :proud: Keep that VFT trophy nice and shiney, Mr McD!
Play Offs - NSBFR-X (10) vs Hypertension Mk2 (24)
Erm, Im gonna go for NSBFL...I mean R-X to get the bronze here.
Grand Final - Wedge Devolution (27) vs Storm 2
I think its finally time Steves name was put on this trophy. One flip should be enough to get Storm II onto its back and from there I can see little else happening. I think Wedge Devo matches it in drive too so no problems there, and the skirts should stop Storm II getting and good attacks in too. This is a one way fight for the title, which is going to Wedge Devo in my opinion.
Oh and Steve... just remember who inspired you too devolve Wedge 3 TFU, right?
Storm 2s Tactics:
Avoid that flipper at all times. He cant get me OOTA anyway, so thats one side of relief. Attack from Wedge Devolutions sides and rear, pushing it around and quickly getting it down the pit the first chance I get, I should be able to get the chance to do so here.
Due to the fact that Storm 2s wedge doesnt go all the way down to the floor, I dont think it will get underneath, and so Im backing Steveo to finally steal that cup from Franky.
The grand final is not far away, but before it happens, lets give the two less lucky finalists a chance to regain some dignity. Who will get the bronze medal in the VFT6 playoff - NSBFR-X or Hypertension Mk2?
3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
As the robots came at each other at high speed, Hypertension Mk2 turned to go for NSBFR-Xs sides, and NSBFR-Xs pincers ended up running into Hypertensions side, where they couldnt grip! Hypertension was knocked but twisted around and became parallel to NSBFR-X! Both robots turned, but neither could gain the upper hand! Eventually, Hypertension Mk2 broke away from the waltz, and ran into NSBFR-X head on! Before the pincers could go to work, Hypertension Mk2 fired its flipper from underneath them, turning NSBFR-X over onto its back! Before NSBFR-X could run, Hypertension rammed it hard in the side, taking it into the east wall, which they bounced off, then close to, but not into the arena disc! Hypertension Mk2 backed off to give it the push, but NSBFR-X quickly went for it with its pincers! However, as Hypertension Mk2 came back in, it went under one pincer again, resulting in NSBFR-X being tossed against the wall! It quickly began sliding down however, so Hypertension pinned it there, but the skirts proved impenetrable to its prongs! After a few moments, NSBFR-X managed to escape from the pin, and turned to face Hypertension Mk2, who backed off, almost reversing into the arena disc!
NSBFR-X went for one of Hypertension Mk2s front corners, and the pincers closed on it! However, Hypertension was still able to fire its flipper, and the result was that both robots were tipped over, balancing on their sides! They remained in that position for a moment, then NSBFR-X slowly withdrew its claws and the two bots fell back to the floor! Reacting quickly, NSBFR-X ran into Hypertension Mk2s side, but the pincers couldnt grip there! It went to grip a rear corner, but Hypertension reversed! Under the pincers went a prong, up went the flipper and over went NSBFR-X! Hypertension Mk2 ran into its side, managing to come underneath before it had settled back down fully! Quickly, it ran the 10th seed in the southwest corner and fired its flipper again, attempting to prop it against the wall! NSBFR-X banged against the wall, but quickly slid down again, on top of Hypertensions body! With NSBFR-X still trapped on top of it, the 24th seed went across the arena and hit the pit release! Edging itelf close to the pit, it fired its flipper again - and tossed NSBFR-X backwards! Landing on the floor, NSBFR-X went for Hypertension Mk2 with its pincers - Hypertension tried to run, but was grabbed from behind! NSBFR-X tried to manouvre it into the open pit, but Hypertension pulled back at it! Slowly, NSBFR-X began moving over the pit...which closed before it could fall in!
Still holding onto Hypertension Mk2, NSBFR-X tried dragging it again, with little success as they moved back and forth. Eventually, it gave up and reversed across the arena towards the disc, hoping to catch Hypertension there. Hypertension Mk2 willingly followed - when it caught up, the two robots became parallel again as they tried to catch each other! As they turned, Hypertensions rear brushed the disc, and it was suddenly flung backwards, against the wall! NSBFR-X gleefully rushed in with its pincers, but it ended up running into Hypertensions side again, and failed to grip it! As it manouvred to grab the rear corner, Hypertension Mk2 swerved around to bring its flipper under the pincers again, and successfully threw the 10th seed into the disc! Hitting the disc, NSBFR-X flew back towards Hypertension Mk2, who ran under its pincers again before it could get away and tossed it over again! As NSBFR-X bounced on the floor, Hypertension ran under its rear! Not wasting time, it propelled NSBFR-X into the pit release again, and not wanting to take risks, it just edged it into the pit normally! Just as Wedge Devolution had avenged Hypertensions victory in VFT5 Round 2, Hypertension Mk2 had avenged NSBFRs victory in their VFT5 heat final!
CEASE!
HYPERTENSION MK2 COMES THIRD IN VFT6!
So we come to it at last. After over a year, 128 robots and 94 fights, weve found the best two robots, and theyre about to go head to head to decide which is the best of them!
First into the arena is the 27th seed, Wedge Devolution, Steven McGregors veteran flipper that has beaten Blizzard, Happy Birthday Party Pooper, Wedga Revo, Glasgow Kiss, Tempest Evil-er-ution, Psyclone and Hypertension Mk2!
Next comes real robot Storm 2, entered into this tourny by Matt MacDonald, whose tactics gave it victory over Constrictor, In-terror-fied, Dantomkia, The Crashing Bore, Orka Mk3, Manic Monsoon and NSBFR-X!
So lets begin!
3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
The buzzer sounded, and the two finalists burst into life, charging each other down! Skidding around Wedge Devolution, Storm 2 outpaced its turning! Wedge tried to manouvre to catch it on the flipper, but Storm 2 narrowly dodged and went wham into Wedge Devos side! It couldnt get under the skirting, but it could still shove Wedge Devolution, hard into the wall! A straining effort to get under failed, so Storm 2 backed off, reversing into the pit release! It came rushing at the advancing Wedge Devo - and missed it! Wedge Devo stopped and reversed, and Storm 2 came rushing to collide with the rear - but Wedge Devo turned at the last minute and Storm 2 ran by again, knocking Wedge Devolution a little! Quickly coming forwards after its manouvre, the 27th seed brought its spatula into Storm 2s side, used a push to get under, and fired the flipper! Up into the air went Storm 2, hitting the floor and tumbling over, with Wedge Devolution following it! Storm 2 landed right side up, close to the open pit - Wedge Devo went rushing in almost immediately after it landed and shoved it towards the pit! But the pit closed before they were quite there!
Standing over the closed pit, Wedge Devolution used the wall to slip under Storm 2 again before it could escape, pushed it into a clear part of the arena and flipped again, following it as it flew! This time, Storm 2 landed upside down, but as Wedge Devolution came into it, it managed to drive away before it could get fully under! The inverted Storm 2 began driving around Wedge Devo again, trying to reach the sides safely! Wedge Devo turned for a moment then suddenly went for it, but Storm 2 quickly drove off the wedge again! Twisting around, it went to attack the side, but Wedge turned its wedge into it again! Again Storm 2 drove off just in time, but it was tilted by doing so, and Wedge Devolution rushed to take advantage! Coming back down, however, Storm 2 rushed away, outpacing Wedge long enough to charge back in! As Storm 2 skidded past it to try and shove from the side, Wedge Devolution quickly turned after it, and another parallel dance ensued! Storm 2 found itself running up Wedge Devos side a little thanks to its inverted wedge, which allowed Wedge Devolution to manouvre and bring Storm 2 over the wedge! Once it had done so, it immediately ran its victim into the pit release, opening the pit again! Wedge turned, just managing to keep Storm 2 from falling off the wedge, and ran it towards the pit! They reached it, and Storm 2 dangled over the empty space before inexorably sliding down! WEDGE DEVOLUTION RUSHED TO THE CENTRE OF THE ARENA AND DID A RELATIVELY SLOW VICTORY SPIN, FIRING ITS FLIPPER, HAVING JUST MADE ITSELF THE NEW VFT CHAMPION!
CEASE!
In fourth place, the interchangable bot entered by Frank Goacher, NSBFR-X!
In third place, the box shaped Dantomkia entered by Matty Fowler, HYPERTENSION MK2!
In second place, just as it was second on RW7, the rammer/lifter entered by Matt MacDonald, STORM 2!
But in first place, the flipping wedge entered by Steven MacGregor, the veteran who is finally the champion of Velociraptors Fanfic Tournament, WEDGE DEVOLUTION!
So, finally, VFT6 comes to a close. But what of VFT7? Its not long now till I go to university, and Ill need time to sort myself out, but VFT7 shouldnt be that long in coming. Ive got a few ideas for it:
* My arenas getting a little dull, so Im thinking of modifying it a little.
* Im considering modifying my judges decision technique as well.
* I havent fully decided on this yet, but Im thinking of taking a leaf out of Frank and Stevens books and assembling my own team of House Robots (if thats alright with Frank and Steven, of course).
* The Special Events will be back - we need to continue the Challenge Belt, of course, and Ill be giving robots of different weight categories a chance to show what theyre made of! Havent decided on what other events there will be yet, although there probably wont be another All Stars until VFT8, if there is a VFT8.
* Im wondering whether or not to make people enter robots and their stats straight away. I wouldnt have to wait for some people who reserve places and then take ages providing their stats, but it might mean that some people who wanted to enter might need to get their stats together, and then miss out on a place as they all filled up. What are your opinions on this?
Another big thank you to everyone who entered - hope to see you in the next one!
...I did it? After six seasons of near-misses, close calls and falling at the last hurdles, Ive finally won a Richie tournament?
The apocolypse will commence in three minutes and twenty-eight seconds. :proud:
HAHAHAAAAAA! Victory is mine! All-too many congratulations and bravos to Richie, Matty Mac, Mr Fowler, Franky :)...oh flip - THANK YOU, PLANET EARTH!
As for next year, Richie, House Robots sound like a blast! Itll be nice to fight someone other than each other  and more special events? Goodo! How about considering a few themed matches (flippahs, discs, comedybots etc) or even an (official) House Robot rebellion?
Anyways, tas and thank yes to all once again! :) Im off to weld the trophy onto one of my top hats so that Ill always have a momento of this glorious historic moment...well, historic for me, anyway! :proud:

Yes, I have a problem with you designing your own house robots for your own tourney :P
Great final, and well done to Steve and Matt. Bad news though Steve, I think this means you just lost the Oh well Im not going to win gag:proud:
Congratulations my Scottish friend.
Lets see, things for VFT7 special events.
-CHALLENGE BELT (of course)
-Either a Tag Team Terror OR a Football.
-A War of the Weapons event. A bit like what Steve said.
-And how about THIS...rather than do another All Stars, how about a Demolition Derby...you pick what you feel to be the most destructive robots to have competed and throw them into the arena together.
