i have an idea. mabee we should quickly find its ears or nose or even ass and attack it with the i slayer. send it to its brain to destroy it.

Ill convert to electricity, find an ear or nose or something, fly into it and attack the brain directly.

frank i could set the smart link on my minigun to your electrical signal and when you give the message i will let rip hoping your electrical form you wont be harmed but brain will be damaged by homed in bullets. 1000s of em.

That sounds like a good plan

As it stands it seems unlikely that the God is going to awaken without prompting and as it is, it is buried within the soil except for the one horn. The only way it is going to awaken is if you use the device. Anything else is going to be roughly equivelant to a flea jumping up and down on your blanket while you are asleep.

Writers Note:

Remember - you are not obliged to the wizard - firstly he primarily wanted the spear and the killing of the beast is a secondary objective. Secondly if you want you can just leave. There may be reprecussions but the story is fluid, you dont have to do what the wizard wants.

Right, options I can think of:

1) Use the device - try to fight/kill the creature
2) Use the device - try to just retrieve the spearhead and flee
3) Just leave the warm area and head across land in a direction of your choice. The going will be very hard though.
4) Try to dig towards the creature to find the spear. This is pretty unlikely to work due to the size of the monster.
5) Stay here but dont act against the God - encamp, possibly try to put together some kind of base here.
6) Dig down to the God and attempt to kill it

Remember you also have the services of both Anton and Snowlark for whatever you decide to do. Snowlark has some very rudimentary magic skills, as well as wilderness survival and hunting skills. Anton can do anything a sentient colony of ants could do, and while in human form is relatively superhumanly strong.

Hmm...

I suggest Anton goes into the beast through its ear/nose/mouth and makes a colony in the beasts head. Then we wake it. When its free of the rubble, the colony will probably kill it by eating up the organs in the head. :proud:

(I suggest we go along with Shane and Franks plan.)

(The rest of us can use the colony of ants to amuse ourselves by holding a mini Olympic Games with the ants...or if that gets boring get them to form themselves into various historical landmarks)

Just to clarrify this - doing Shane and Franks plan means youll first have to wake it up with the device. If you do that there is no way to change your mind and make it go back to sleep reguardless of how well or badly yours plans go.

The common consensus when I come on tomorrow evenign will be the final choice.

Dirge doesnt like the idea. Best to let sleeping dogs lie my mommy always said says Dirge. If we dont need to fight it, I suggest we dont and find the spear while it sleeps.

might be like a magic spear and when you even touch it the beast might awaken anyway so then its full on pants changing time. tho brutus fears nothing. we do have a plan so mabee if we go for the spear and try that ans if he sleeps through then all good but if it wakes then go go gadget minigun, ants and frank and i slayer and kill the brain.

I still think my plan is ingenious. Let Anton go into the brain while it sleeps, then wake it up to free it, then Anton kills it and we get the spear. :P What could go wrong?

what may make this plan fail Kody is that the creature is a helluva lot stronger than Anton, Anton wont be able to just kill him :P

what I suggest, and its not a full-grown plan yet but with your ideas it may become one, it that we attack him slowly, silently, act like an appearantly innocent virus so to speak, act very slowly and softly to make sure he wont wake up, or at least to make sure he wont wake up until its to late, perhaps look for a place to enter his body and position ourselves on tactical positon, all the time trying not to be noticed, which shouldnt be hard with us being so small and all...

but we have to delay the killing blow only when we have complete control of his body, merely damaging him a bit will cause him to wake up and I feel that then we are lost...

If it has a brain, Martijn, then Anton can kill it easily. Its not like its brain is Mother Brain from Metroid. :P

Anton has listened intently to the conversation for a while and when he hears his name bought up he listens even more closely.

Without any warning he collapses into his composite ants and scuttles off down various crevices. A while later he emerges and reforms, telling you what he has found...

* He couldnt find ears, but some of the ants could fit down its pores. Its brain is described as being as big as large village/small town. Unless you want to do this very slowly Anton just isnt big enough to kill its brain.
* He located the spearhead. It is about the size of a mini. And is hi both ornately carved and relatively advanced technology. It is very deep and extracting it would take months even with specialised equiptment.

(Is it worth trying to communicate with the creature and get it to bring back the spearhead with us?)

I doubt Shanes plan can kill it just like that, if anything we dont have enough information to say that right now. Anton has seen the brain and he has seen us displaying our powers, ask Anton how good a chance we make at killing the creature by attacking the brain.

We can use this on the iSlayer and send him and Anton inside, and we can equip them with a number of downsized versions of every weapon we carry with us, and weve collected a really big amount of weapons by now...

Look, our plan is to attack the brain direct. If Anton can get in through the pores then so can I, so we wont even need to wake it to kill it.

Were talking about attacking the brain directly here. The brain is a very delicate thing, even if it is the size of a small town. Even a small wound will cause brain damage and severe problems.

Time for some hints I feel:

Martijns plan is entirely viable.
Communication by the Sucker might be possible if it was awake but only through telepathy.
Bear in mind that there is no guarantee the brain is conventional.
If you kill it while in the ground, the spearhead will be more or less inaccessible.

(I then suggest we awaken it and I then calmly explain the situation to it. You never know, it might be willing to help us and not kill us after all)

Waking it up through the device will send it into a rage.

(Uh...we wake it up by other means? Or we get really far away before using the device? Or I try and talk it out of its rage?)

^ Seems good to me, though, one issue. What if the iSlayer up and dies while it is in there?

In my opinion, sending in Anton, iSlayer, and Frank in there seems like the best idea though.

But if we opt of waking it up, maybe we could calm it down with that baddd music stored on the iSlayer? Heh heh. Ya never know, it could work. XD

Right people, just to say Im going to be away until Sunday, so if you reach some kind of consensus by then I can give you all an update. Seeya all.

Could use the shrinking potion magic thing to shrink the antler so we can retrieve it.

Attacking the brain is the best plan. The brain stem connects the spinal cord with the spinal cord. It is also the part of the brain where the vital functions occur. The lowest part of the brain is located in the brain stem, the meddula oblangata. Directly above the meddula oblangata are the pons. The pons is the band of nerves that connect the cerebrum, the cerebellum, and the meddula oblangata. The meddula oblangata is in the middle of the brain and controls breathing. So we attack the meddula oblengata and we kill the beast. Shrink the antler and bobs your uncle. We now need a structure and a leader to put the plan into action.
