Heat Semi-Final 10/16:
Tira III v Whirligig 4.5
Tira III demolished Bio-Hazard in the eliminator, using the powerful vertical flywheel to good effect.
Steven McGregor has given very detailed tactics for both his eliminator and this match, lets take a look shall we??
v With or Without You) Ummmm..Kill it
v Tira III) Ummmm..Kill it
Clever, not to mention original!
Booth 1: Kody Kunz
Booth 2: Steven McGregor
5,4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
Both robots start spinning up, and Whilry gets shuffling as Tira gets rolling! The question here is what can Tira do to Whirligig? There seem to be no apparent weak spots to attack that weak armour, but Tiras armour is also not too great and there is a weak spot- the back!!
Whirly and Tira are getting closer with their weapons now, closer..closer... Tira reverses then comes slamming in at full speed!
CRASH!
Tira flies across the arena, having a vertical disc and wheels compared to its opponents ring spinner and shuffle pads it was too unstable and now lies motionless on its back! Steven spins up again, having received a gash of his own from that attack and slams into Tira again!
CRASH!
Theres a gash in the rear panel, but now the crowd have decided they want to count Tira (whos now bouncing around on that disc) out!
5,4,3,2,1, IMMOBILE!
Whirly celebrates as Tira gets one of her baldes stuck in the mesh of the flame pit, causing herself more damage...
ANOTHER HEAT SEMI-FINAL IS OVER!
Whirligig goes through as Tira is turned turtle!
Coming Next: The first middleweight semi-final!
Life v Doorstop
Special Event
Middleweight Semi-Final 1/2:
Life v Doorstop
Life flipped former Battlebots champion Hazard out of the competition in round one.
Doorstop dealt with Steel Sandwich, pushing it around in a hard battle of the pushers.
Booth 1: Joey McConnell
Booth 2: Frank Goacher
5,4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
They both move off the mark quickly, and Doorstop tries to get around the side of Life, but Joey is quicker and gets under Doorstop, throwing it over! Joey pursues Frank and flips Doorstop again, exposing its innards with the flipper high in the air and Doorstop comes ramming in! There could be damage to the inside, but now Joey clamps down with the flipper and struggles against Doorstop, which as managed tp push it into the corner! Theyre both turned over by the spike, and Doorstop escapes before driving under Life and slamming it into the wall to stop it self-righting! 1 attempt, 2 attempts, 3 attempts...
After 6 tries Life gets back on its wheels, but bad news as its now stacked itself on the wall! Doorstop comes ramming in and gets underneath to push Joey across the arena and into the pit release! Its here Joey struggles off the top of Doorstop and flips it again, this time stacking his opponent on the pit release! But the tyre gives way and Doorstop gets back into the action, only to get thrown over again! Life follows up the attack, flipping Doorstop into the corner, where Frank is overturned by the spike! He comes rushing out, but once again Joey comes in, this time getting underneath the side and pushing Doorstop to the side before throwing it onto the rails! Doorstop wobbles, then falls back in! Life comes in on the attack and pushes Doorstop into the angle grinder, but doesnt flip. It seems that Joey has expended all the flippers energy and now these two are very evenly matched! At the end of the bout Doorstop gets in behind Life, under the inverted wedge and pushes it into the angle grinder on the other side.
WE NOW GO TO THE JUDGES!
Life: Doorstop:
Damage: 3/5 2/5
Aggression: 4/5 4/5
Style: 3/5 1/5
Control: 2/5 4/5
Overall: 12/20 11/20
It was an extremely close match, but Life goes on to the middleweight final!
Coming Next: The Heat E Final
The May Tracks Has You v Whirligig 4.5
...guess.
You know, Im quite inclined to request a grudge match between me and Steve since we seem to be getting drawn against each other so often.
And bah! Curse that Whirligig! Hopefully May Tracks can muck up its plans of destroying it. :proud:
Another day, another over-powered ring spinner to face off with :P Although thinking about it I really dont know if Whirly can get its full power into its strikes, pussycat blade shaped teeth dont sound too efficient as theres no single point and no real trauma. Its more likely to slice than to rip and gouge, so its basically an oversized saw blade:proud:
Tactics are to go with the wedging under and reversing stratagy to get the spikes into play. The wider area of the shuffle pads compared to wheels means I can get more spikes stuck in, and hopefully can remove an entire shuffle pad doing this, leaving Whirly limping and spinning off centre, which is always bad news for a spinner. Ask Mauler. It might not be the most efficient way of beating Whirly, but itd be one of those moments that makes me regret you cant actually see whats going on in the arena:proud:
Good luck Stevey.
Told you Id be baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack...:proud: Good fight though.
Heat E Final
The May Tracks Has You v Whirligig 4.5
Lets flashback and see how these two very different designs got this far...
1) May Tracks threw Sonic Boom OOTA
2) Whirligig trashed With or Without You for an easy victory
3) May Tracks dominated No Objections, eventually scoring another OOTA
4) Whirligig 4.5 proved it had power by taking on Tira III and turning Kody onto his back..No srimech, no recovery...
Booth 1: Frank Goacher
Booth 2: Steven McGregor
5,4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
Whirly immediately starts spinning up and May Tracks comes forward to meet it! Frank wants to get that wedge under Whirligig, but can he do it when Steven is spinning at full speed? Whirly shuffles away from May Tracks, trying to get that weapon up to full power before impact! But Steven cant delay collision forever and in comes May Tracks!
CRASH!
The next thing we see are some of May Tracks spikes go flying off and Frank being knocked slightly backwards by that blow! His armour has stood up to the hit, but the paint is scratched. Whirly is already spinning up again, but this time Steven is quicker on the attack and gets underneath! But all the right spikes have gone, and May Tracks cant impale the shuffle pads properly as planned! Instead he pushes Steven to the wall and flips Whirligig! Whirly hits the rails and wobbles back into the arena, spinning up again! May Tracks comes in and..
CRASH!
Frank is sent reeling this time, from the pure force of that blow! And as Whirly spins up again theres no response from May Tracks!
5,4,3,2,1, IMMOBILE!
It seems the link was knocked out by that attack and May Tracks is history! Whirligig 4.5 goes through to the series finals to join Liar 2, Supreme Glory Omega, Nidhogg and ISDSFA!
Coming Next: The opening eliminator of Heat F
Life and Death v MeCannibal 2.0
MeCannibal 2.0 vs. Life And Death: 4-0 at the moment, but I plan AT LEAST to make it 4-1  The advantage with clusterbots is that you can attack from 2 different angles, but the disadvatages are weight and weaponry due to the weight needing to be split out. Life may have issues with its weapon, as if it misses a vital flip, itll fly over instantly! And with Death, the issue is in its weapon as well, as its so powerful, it needs to sacrifice armour.
My advantages are that I have the same amount of weight as they do together, but split I am 50kg heavier than Life and 50kg heavier than Death, and also, my spinning weapon is 30kg in weight, a bit lighter than Whirligig, but I spin at 3000rpm at max, 3 time MORE than Whirligig - who mauled May Tracks despite being an oversized sawblade Im an oversized FLYWHEEL due to my teeth design, so Ill send all 195kj (nearly twice as much as Whirligig) into 1 spot and wreck carnage. Ill target Life, as that flipper looks nasty and if I take it out, Ill score plenty in the damage section.
Tactics for each part:
Life: Attack the sides and rear, where its weakest.
Death: See above :proud:
Good luck Joey
Theres actually a wheelie bar type thing on the back of Life to stop it doing that...thought I mentioned it in the stats somewhere. My tactics are somewhere above, but also involve hoping MeCannibal dies from its own Kj count, as while the 300Kj one was complete insanity, the 195Kj one is only as safe as its chances of instant detonation being less than 100% :proud:
Regardless, good luck Paul :)
Dont worry Joey - Ive got shock-proofing - look in the stats  How many binbags will you need after this fight? :proud:
I dont have binbags, left them at home - Ive got eight or nine Marks And Spencers bags, will they do if I possibly wrap the sharp pits in paper so they dont rip them apart? :proud:
Shockproofing doesnt always help, you know.
This is the third time Ive tried to post this fight!
Eliminator 21/32:
MeCannibal 2.0 v Life and Death
MeCannibal 2.0 did well in the challenge belt, defeating good robots like Crimson Thunder, Sithis and Weapon Synergy.
Life has already made it to the middleweight finals, but here it is partnered with Death in the main competition.
Booth 1: Paul Cuomo
Booth 2: Joey McConnell
5,4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
MeCannibal spins up as Life and Death come on the attack together. Paul gets up to full speed quickly and swings around to the side of Life!
CRASH!
Life spins away, now with a nice gash in the side, from which it is venting gas- the co2 supply has been ruptured! Death now comes on the attack and grabs MeCannibal in an attempt to pull Paul towards the pit release tyre, but the weight difference of 60kg is too much and MeCannibal escapes!
Paul spins up and now comes on the attack of Death, once again going for the sides!
CRASH!
Death spins away, and the link falls out leaving the weaponless Life to fend for itself!
Life comes in and pushes MeCannibal into the angle grinder, but now Paul escapes and spins up again!
CRASH!
This time the rear armour takes the crash and the whole panel flies away! Life goes now to the pit release tyre! MeCannibal comes in from behind!
CRASH!
The exposed workings took the blow and the drive motors are now lying on the arena floor!
MECANNIBAL GOES THROUGH!
Death dies and Life is Life-less.
Coming Next:
Vlad the Impaler v Sakura
Wow, are overkill spinners invincible nowadays? :lame:
Good fight regardless. :)
Eliminator 22/32:
Vlad the Impaler v Sakura
Vlad the Impaler is an ex heavyweight champion of Battlebots, 1999 and Season 1.0 2000. However it was defeated by Bio-Hazard in the series 2.0 finals and suffered bad losses later on.
Sakura is a beautiful cherry blossom, magnificent and....absolutely lethal. This FBS runs off 2 x LEM-130s running at 36v and has a Kj output of 90-100.
Booth 1: Mark Elam
Booth 2: Frank Goacher
5,4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
Sakura immediately starts spinning up, while Vlad goes for a box-rush!
CRASH!
No, its not Sakura he hit, more like the wall, as Sakura slickly dodged the frenzied attack and now comes in on its own onslaught!
CRASH!
Vlad is thrown over by the impact, and when it self-rights Mark finds himself stacked on the wall! It isnt a good position, and theres nothing he can do! Frank just spins up again, and comes in on a powerful slam!
CRASH!
This is unbelievable, Vlad has gone right OOTA! Surely thats a first for a horizontal spinner? But in a way Mark did it himself...
VLAD FALLS TO A FLOWER!
Sakura goes through in the shower of cherry blossoms that now cover the arena!

Seung Mina IV v Metal Sonic Spin Dash
(Message edited by Robot_Warrior on April 20, 2008)
*quickly fixes Life for the middleweight competition* Message here seems to be Life is good, but perhaps not as a clusterbot part...
...ah well. Paul, you finally got me :proud: but Im going all out on you with Haardvark...
...there will be no mercy. You will be nudged to death.
Finally! A win over Joeys team! WOOT!
Seung Mina IV v Metal Sonic Spin Dash
Tactics posted earlier. :)
Eliminator 23/32:
Seung Mina IV v Metal Sonic Dash
Seung Mina III was the winner of The Easter Bunny Tribute Championships 2008, Kody hopes to repeat its success here with the redesign.
I think this robot looks a bit like Panic Attack with a disc instead of the forks, can Steven pull this tough match off?
Booth 1: Kody Kunz
Booth 2: Steven McGregor
5,4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
MSS starts spinning straight away, and Seung Mina comes in. The first bot on the attack is Mina, and she flips Steven into the air! But the plate wasnt right underneath and MSS comes down the right way up before the flipper balde has come down! Taking advantage of this Steven rams in, the sparks flying off Mina as Steven pushes Kody across the arena floor! But he doesnt move for long as Kody gets those wheels going and with an advantage of 6HP on his side clamps down on top with the flipper and pushes MSS into the corner, where its flipped by the spike! Steven quickly self-rights, but in comes Kody and flips him over again! Once more MSS uses the srimech, and once again Kody comes in, getting underneath and pushing it up against the wall! The flipper is fired, but MSS goes sideways! The disc takes a chunk outta the floor when Steven comes down on his face, but MSS bounces back up onto its hweels, only to be flipped by Kody again! Thsi is a proper flip and MSS goes high into the air before it crashes down on its back. Steven self-rights, but onto Mina, who throws him upinto the air a second time! This time MSS flies backwards, but lands on its wheels. Steven gets the disc going again and comes on the attack of Seung Mina from the side, damaging one of the skirts and getting in underneath Mina! Those spikes on top have trapped the Easter Bunny champion and now Steven carries her over to the pit release tyre! The siren wails and Steven heads over to the pit, but Kody has a brainwave and uses the powerful flipper to knock himself off the top of MSS and escapes!
Steven quickly reverses away from the pit and turns to face Mina again, but Kody gets underneath and stacks MSS on the grinder! Steven uses his sriemch to get out of there and attacks again, but Kody pushes him onto the flame pit and turns him over again!
ITS ALL OVER!
After a close match the battle goes to a JD!
Seung Mina IV: MSS:
Damage- 1/5 2/5
Aggression- 5/5 3/5
Style- 4/5 3/5
Control- 4/5 4/5
Overall- 14/20 12/20
The 3rd eliminator of the heat is over and Seung Mina IV goes through to the heat semi-finals!
Coming Next:
Flick of the Wrist v Dennis the Menace
Eliminator 24/32:
Flick of the Wrist v Dennis the Menace
FOTW is the challeng belt holder, a powerful rambot with 6 wheels and lifting spikes.
Dennis the Menace is another box, albeit an oddly shaped one with a powerful spinning drum.
Booth 1: Martijn M Benschop
Booth 2: Daniel Stickler
5,4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
Dennis immediately starts spinning up, but Flicky box-rushes and lifts it with the spikes and pins it against the grinder! An impressive start, and now Martijn goes on another slam, this time into the pit release tyre! The siren wails and Dennis falls off the spikes and comes on the attack itself, slamming into flicky with obth the dirve and weapon at full speed and power!
CRASH!
Flick somersualts sideways, and we can see some damage to the side panel! And now it falls right off! But Martijn is quick to recover and lifts Dennis again, this time carrying Daniel to the pit!
PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT
The crowd want it, and they get it!
IN A PUFF OF SMOKE ITS ALL OVER!
Flick of the Wrist menaces Dennis and goes through to the heat semi-finals!
Heat Semi-Final Draws:
MeCannibal 2.0 v Seung Mina IV
Sakura v Flick of the Wrist
Coming Next: The second featherweight semi-final!
T.R.E.D.T.H.A.L v Micro-Gore
MeCannibal 2.0 v Seung Mina IV
Good! Exactly the bot I wanted to fight. Its quite a dangerous spinner, but even though I have 3.25mm Hardox armour, it can be bolted on better and is therefore less susceptible to having whole panels torn off, and even thin Hardox is hard to tear, so good luck getting through it.
Normal tactics...well, I have a shatload more torque and drive power so basically just flip and push the damn thing all over the place. Then when Im bored...OOTA or pit, your choice. :proud:
Sakura vs. Flick of the Wrist
I think Flicky can pull off an upset here.
T.R.E.D.T.H.A.L vs. Micro-Gore
Tactics posted earlier. :)
(Message edited by kodster on April 20, 2008)
Wooty fights Liam - VERY good, and get better every time - imagine what the final will be like
MeCannibal 2.0 v Seung Mina IV: Oh poot! :lame: I nearly always face Kody robots and very rarely win any of those battles. But my plan is quite simple - analysing that design, its design to fight with powerful flippers and spinners designed to rip panels off. I can do that, but I can dent armour as well. However, my mine target will be that weapon - its 9mm G5 Ti - Ill hit the flipper time after time until it BREAKS OFF! If it doesnt break, hit the sides and hope I can dent the armour onto the wheels to prevent them from turning. DO NOT let him get under - if he does, I possibly wont survive. Stay in the centre of the ring, go for his fipper and skirts and hope I can win through.
Good luck Kody
Sakura v Flick of the Wrist: I believe that we may see a shock and Sakura may batter that armour on Flick. It depends, but if that spinner stops, Ill side with Martijn. If it doesnt stop...GO FRANK! :proud:
Special Event- Featherweight Semi-Final 2/2:
T.R.E.D.T.H.A.L v Micro-Gore
T.R.E.D.T.H.A.L defeated Arrgh in the heats, easily lifting and pitting its opponent.
Micro-Gore got to grips with Katnip in the last round, vertical crusher beats horizontal crusher.
Booth 1: Steven McGregor
Booth 2: Kody Kunz
5,4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
Both bots get up to a quick start, they head towards each other, both ready for some action! Micro-Gore manages to get its claw around T.R.E.D.T.H.ALs scoop, and tries to drag Steven across the arena to the pit release tyre. But T.R.E.D.T.H.A.L has a 6kg weight advantage and pushes Micro-Gore back across the arena, then lifts it up into the air! Kody hangs from the scoop for a moment, then lets go and comes crashing to the ground! He quickly gets that claw underneath while the scoop is raised and pushes it while whacking it with the axe! Kody just absorbs the blows and takes Steven to the pit release tyre! But now Steven presses down with the scoop ,bringing his tracks down onto the floor and pushing Micro-Gore across the arena, into the pit!
THE SECOND FW SEMI IS OVER!
A great turn-around by T.R.E.D.T.H.A.L and he goes through to the final!
Last Featherweight Line-ups:
Play-off:
Pillow Torque v Micro-Gore

Coming Next:
MeCannibal 2.0 v Seung Mina IV
Sakura v Flick of the Wrist
Heat Semi-Final 11/16:
MeCannibal 2.0 v Seung Mina IV
MeCannibal is a scary ring spinner with a 30kg weapon. Its also a shufflebot and can run inverted.
Seung Mina IV is the one to watch in this tournament, mainly because of its victory in The Easter Bunny Tribute Championships 2008.
Booth 1: Paul Cuomo
Booth 2: Kody Kunz
5,4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
MeCannibal immediately starts spinning up, and Seung Mina comes in on the attack, but MeCannibal smacks into the weapon! Mina spins away, but quickly recovers and catches up with MeCannibal, getting underneath and throwing Paul high into the air!
CRASH!
He falls to earth with a bump, and immediatly spins up, this time pulling around to attack the side of Seung Mina! The skirt is left buckled and bent, but Kody wasnt knocked away much by the impact and gets underneath again, this time pushing MeCannibal right across the arena and into the pit release tyre! MeCannibal is right on the flipper anway, so Kody decides to give Paul some airtime!
MeCannibal flies up into the air, then crashes down onto the rails, breaking the arena wall! Then manages to shuffle of the wreck of the wall to stay in the arena!
THE MATCH IS STOPPED TO REPAIR THAT WALL!
5 MINS LATER
5,4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
MeCannibal spins up and attacks Minas flipper again, and this time theres a gash in one of the bars! But Kody doesnt give up easily and comes back on a stronger attack, getting underneath MeCannibal and instead of flipping simply pushes it around and then into the pit!
THE FIRST HEAT SEMI-FINAL IS OVER!
Seung Mina IV goes onto the heat final, MeCannibal rests in the pit!
Heat Semi-Final 12/16:
Sakura v Flick of the Wrist
Sakura knocked another bot with lifting forks OOTA in round one, I dont doubt Frank hopes to do that again!
FOTW sprung a surprise on us all in the eliminator, pitting Dennis the Menace despite taking some heavy damage from the menacing drum.
Booth 1: Frank Goacher
Booth 2: Martijn M Benschop
5,4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
Sakura starts spinning, but in comes Flicky and tips it over with the spikes! Sakura self-rights, but Martijn was ready and flips it again, then this time pushes it onto the flame pit! Once more Sakura self-rights, and again Flick turns it over! And another push from Martijn, this time into the angle grinder! Sakura tries to use that srimech, but Martijn pins her there before reversing and slamming in hard! Frank self-rights again, and escapes to spin up! Now its Flick that should be running as Sakura runs in on a side onslaught!
CRASH!
A gash in the side panel. but now Martijn flips Sakura again and pushes it into the corner! Frank self-rights, but is flipped by the spike and has to self-right again! Martijn doesnt relent and follows up the attack, ramming Sakura into the corner and hoisting into the air again! Frank is almost going out, almost! And then, the operator of our arena spike realises Martijns rear wheels are on the arena spike and hits the button! The result was just the extra lift Martijn needed and Frank tumbles out of the arena!
THE SECOND HEAT SEMI-FINAL IS OVER!
Another surprise sprung by Flick and Martijn heads through to meet Seung Mina IV in the heat F Final!
Coming Next: The second middleweight semi-final!
T-Minus v Solstice 2.0
Poot for Micro-Gore :lame:, w00t for Seung Mina IV. :proud:
Seung Mina IV vs. Flick of the Wrist
Time to experiment. Ill swap the plate for the aforementioned spikes on the flipper to get underneath Flicks own forks. Other than that, flip, push, kill. :proud:
T-Minus v Solstice 2.0
Already stated. :proud:
FEATHERWEIGHTS
FINAL
Skink VS T.R.E.D.T.H.A.L.
Flipping a flipper wont do much good methinks. TREDTHAL will try to get under Skinks sides, clamp it with the axe and use those mighty tracks to try and dump it down the pit.
Special Event- Middleweight Semi-Final 2/2:
T-Minus v Solstice 2.0
T-Minus won the season 5.0 battlebots middleweight championship. Its a powerful flipper, and has already defeated Claw and Axe from Weapon Synergy in this tournament.
Solstice 2.0 is a ring spinner entered by Kody Kunz. Its invertable and destroyed the powerful Killoteeny in round one.
Booth 1: Martijn M Benschop
Booth 2: Kody Kunz
5,4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
Solstice immediately starts spinning up, and T-Minus comes in, a tad more tentative than wed expect. Kody suddenly shocks Martijn by swing Solstice around and slamming into the wheel guard, which is torn straight off! T-Minus then gets underneath and fires the flipper, throwing Solstice high into the air! But when Kody lands he wastes no time and spins up again to come back on the attack!
CRASH!
Hes hit the exposed wheel and now the tyre is history! T-Minus is left going in circles and Solstice comes in again, this time targeting the flipper!
CRASH!
T-Minus is suddenly hidden by a cloud- the gas supply has been ruptured! And still no mercy from Solstice as Kody spins up again and wreaks havoc once more!
CRASH!
T-Minus is picked up off the floor by the force of the impact and is launched for the full length of our arena, coming to rest on the flame pit!
(in the immortal words of Homer Simpson)
THATS THE END OF THAT CHAPTER!
T-Minus is going in circles, so is eliminated!
The robot meeting Life in the MW final is Solstice 2.0!
Coming Next: The Heat F final
Seung Mina IV v Flick of the Wrist
Heat F Final
Seung Mina IV v Flick of the Wrist
Lets see how these two machines made it this far...
1) Seung Mina IV flipped Metal Sonic Spin Dash around and won on a judges decision.
2) Flick of the Wrist shocked everyone by lifting Dennis the Menace and pitting the powerful spinner despite losing a side panel.
3) Seung Mina returned to the arena, this time to trash MeCannibal 2.0, who trashed the wall! The battle was restarted and Mina pitted her opponent in style!
4) Flick of the Wrist had another tough bout, this time with Sakura, who was thrust OOTA with a little help from the arena spike!
Incidentally, these two robots are the main winners of my two previous tournaments!
1) When in her previous incarnation Seung Mina flipped Cat with Wheels, Storm II, Behemoth, E Clawdius Unum and Calm Down Dear (Its only a robot) to win The Easter Bunny Tribute Championships 2008!
2) Flick of the Wrist also competed in the Easter Bunny Tribute Championships 2008, but lost in round 2 to The Zenith. Before that however, it had a tremendous victory in not one, but TWO challenge belts, defeating three awesome machines (including the winner of Heat B, Supreme Glory Omega) to claim the first, then quelling the challenge from MeCannibal 2.0 to get the third!
Booth 1: Kody Kunz
Booth 2: Martijn M Benschop
5,4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
Theyre off! Kody has opted to switch to his spikes instead of the plate for this mtach, and it seems to help as Seung Mina IV slickly slips under the side of Flick of the Wrist and throws it into the air! Martijn comes crashing down, but Flick is invertable and now comes back on the attack, getting the forks under Mina before the flipper comes down and hoisting Kody into the air before ramming him across the arena floor!
CRASH!
Mina hits the wall and bounces away, but lands the right way up and comes back on the attack, flipping Flick of the Wrist again! But Martijn is quick to recover and tries a side attack, succeeding only in pushing Mina onto the flame pit, which does nothing.
And now its Kody back on the attack, getting under the rear of Flick and ramming Martijn into the angle grinder before giving him some airtime! Flick almost goes OOTA, but flies too much sideways from the angle of that flip and now rams Kody from under the flipper again, flipping him right over with the spikes and pushing him against the grinder! Mina self-rights and escpaes, then turns to attack Flick herself! Martijn drives up onto the flipper and is thrown over again, but this time Kody rams from behind and stacks Martijn in the corner! Hastily Mina rushes in to finish Flick off, but is flipped by the arena spike! Kody self-rights, but now time has run out!
WE GO TO A JD!
Seung Mina IV: Flick of the Wrist:
Damage- 3/5 3/5
Aggression- 4/5 3/5
Style- 3/5 2/5
Control- 3/5 2/5
Overall- 13/20 10/20
Seung Mina IV pulls off the win by just three points and goes on to the series finals!
Coming Next: The opening eliminator of Heat G!
Haardvark v Storm II
(Message edited by Robot_Warrior on April 23, 2008)
Eliminator 25/32:
Haardvark v Storm II
Haardvark was a semi-finalist in robot wars 2, but failed to mkae any progress in series 3 at all, breaking down in the first round.
Storm II is another veteran of Robot Wars, winning the new blood and finishing runner-up in series 7.
Booth 1: Joey McConnell
Booth 2: Paul Cuomo
5,4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
Storm II gets a very quick start, pressing the pit release and running back down the arena, slamming into Haardvark! The whole machine rolls over after the impact, and Paul follows it up by using Storms lifter to flip Joey back onto his wheels! But now Storm II gets underneath again, this time pushing Haardvark in a wide arc and into the pit!
IT LASTED JUST 19 SEC0NDS!!
And with that Storm II goes onto the heat semi-final!
Coming Next:
Gravity v Killotine: EVO
(Message edited by Robot_Warrior on April 23, 2008)
w00t! Go Solstice! Go Seung Mina! :proud:
Gravity may have a very powerful flipper, but it also has a moderate ground clearance and a tendency to wheelie (in RW7 anyway). Killotine will try to get under Gravitys sides, grapple it with the axe and use its superior push to dump it in the pit before it can wriggle free.
Ah, yes, I forgot my tactics. :proud:
Life vs. Solstice 2.0
Doesnt matter if Life has a front 4mm Hardox wedge: my blades are long enough to strike it without him impacting into the main body, and send him flying, and thatll score me points even if its not damaged. Ill probably get knocked away too, but then I can spin up while he recovers. If he gets at the main body, just drive right up onto and over his wedge. Try to be more aggressive than he will be, and KEEP HITTING IT, mainly those lovely sides and rear. :proud:
SCITCAT:
Box rush. Try and get over there before it can spin up, and go for the OOTA...if I cant get in there before he spins up to dangerous speeds, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES DRIVE INTO THE SPINNER. Ill try and keep to the arena walls and get Solstice to hit something other than me, like the walls or flipper, and that should slow down or stop the spinner so I can get underneath, or even better, kill it through shock damage. I might also try and lure it over the spikes or flipper, but try and do so while keeping my front to him so as not to expose too much. Only use the flipper if I can flip him into the pit or OOTA...
Good luck Kody :)
Eliminator 26/32:
Gravity v Killotine: EVO
Gravity was a semi-finalist of RW7, beaten by the then-champions Tornado when they were bulldozed into the pit.
Killotine: EVO is an evolution of Killotine, it has a powerful axe similar to that of Killerhurtz, and also has superior pushing power so Gravity is reliving its worse nightmare- with an axe!
Booth 1: Mark Elam
Booth 2: Steven McGregor
5,4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
Off they go, and its Killotine that draws first blood, slamming into the side of Gravity and bringing the axe crashing down to make a nice hole in the flipper! Gravity flips the axe away and comes around on its own attack, getting behind Killotine: EVO throwing it high into the air! Steven lands upside down, but quickly self-rights and reverses right up and over Gravity before slamming under the rear and using the axe as a front-hinged flipper to turn Mark onto his back! Gravity self-rights, but Killotine is ready and slams down with the axe before the flipper is shut, and co2 starts venting all over the arena! Now Killotine keeps hold as Steven said he would and slams Gravity into the pit release tyre! The siren wails, and the crowd express their true feelings!
PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT
And they get what they want!
KILLOTINE: EVO DEFIES GRAVITY!
The axe beats the flipper and Killotine: EVO goes through!

Tempest Evil-est-oution v Dervish V
(Message edited by Robot_Warrior on April 24, 2008)
Eliminator 27/32:
Tempest Evil-est-oution v Dervish V
Tempest is a powerful ring spinner that runs inverted. Its heavily shockproofed, but is only a 2-wheel drive so dont expect it to do any ramming.
Dervish V is much like Barberous, a spinning invertable cylinder with wheels on either side and lots of power!
Booth 1: Frank Goacher
Booth 2: Daniel Stickler
5,4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
Both bots spin up and head across the arena. At each other? Nope, theyre both spinning up to top speed! Now they head into a straight line (did they plan this!?), but suddenly Frank stops all the monotous stuff and speeds straight at the side wheel of Dervish!
CRASH!
The tyre flies off and now Frank spins up again as Dervish limps around!
CRASH!
In comes Tempest again and now that wheel is history! The drum of Dervish is now tearing chunks out of the floor, and so in comes Frank to put Daniel out of his misery!
CRASH!
Into the drum itself this time, and Dervish is thrown across the arena!
5,4,3,2,1, IMMOBILE!
Dervish V is over and out, Tempest Evil-est-oution goes through!

Super Gore EVO v Axe to Fall

Eliminator 28/32:
Super Gore Evo v Axe to Fall
Super Gore Evo finished 4th in The Easter Bunny Tribute Championships 2008. Its a powerful gripping robot, bit those tracks are exposed from the top.
Guess what weapon Axe to Fall uses. No Mark, its not a flipper. ITS A BLOODT GREAT AXE, THATS WHAT IT IS!
Booth 1: Kody Kunz
Booth 2: Martijn M Benschop
5,4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
THEYRE OFF! And immediately its Super Gore on the attack, trying to get around to the side to get a grip on Axe to Fall! But Martijn turns to meet Kody and starts hammering him with that axe!Super Gore takes the blows and gets its claws around Axe to Fall and they sink into that Polycarbonate armour! Now its a brutal tug of war, but Martijn is still hitting SGE with his axe, and there are some small dents on the top armour of Super Gore! But that armour is tough and Kody is surely hoping that his claws are doing some damage inside Axe to Fall. And still Martijn hammers away, and neither bot is doing much movement as Kodyisnt letting go and neither can push the other very far before they push back! But now Kody seems to be gaining the advantage and pushes Axe to Fall onto the flame pit! What could have happened?
Now finally Kody lets go and reverses away, but Axe to Fall is only going in circles! It seems one of the drive motors was pierced by SGEs claws, and now Kody presses the pit release tyre before he comes back down and pushes Axe to Fall from the side, right into the pit!
THE LAST ELIMINATOR OF HEAT G IS OVER!
Super Gore Evo goes through!
Coming Next: The featherweight play-off!
Pillow Torque v Micro-Gore
Special Event- Featherweight play-off:
Pillow Torque v Micro-Gore
Pillow Torque beat DTK in the heats, but lost to Skink in the semi-finals.
Micro-Gore defeated Katnip in the heats, then lost to T.R.E.D.T.H.A.L in the semis.
Booth 1: Frank Goacher
Booth 2: Kody Kunz
5,4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
Pillow Torque gets the quicker start and presses the pit release tyre, then drives back into the center of the arena to face Micro-Gore, who gets underneath and crushes! Now Kody has a good grip and pushes Frank right onto the edge of the pit! Then he lets go and Frank falls in, and Kody drops like a stone after him!
A VERY QUICK MATCH!
Micro-Gore gets the 3rd place in the featherweights, Pillow Torque comes a respectable 4th.
Heat G Semi-Final line-ups:
Storm II v Tempest Evil-est-oution
Killotine: Evo v Super Gore Evo
Ive decided to put special events in the final after all, but theyll be heavyweight play-offs.
E.g, in between rounds one and two therell be a four-way melee between the losers of round one and between rounds two and three therell be a match between the losing semi-finalists.
Liam, if thats the case, will you do it for heats A to F, which have already gone by?
