My first REAL tournament... ROBOBASH!!!!

Im still in summer school, but I might be able to post one battle here. so here goes...

From Team Robotic Death Company, Megabyte!

Megabyte was the champion of the 2003 RFL Championships. Its got a deadly full body spinner that can actually self-right the robot, but as usual, it takes a VERY long time to self right.

From Team Britespark, Wheely Pure Evil!

Wheely Pure Evil is Wheely Big Cheese and St. Agro combined together. Its got two flippers that can topple over 5000kg in total. However, it will run out of flips and Im really not a fan of those exposed wheels and the Aluminum Boron Carbite armour.

From Team Zlayerz, Intrigue!

The EOTR 4 Champion returns! Intrigue has a great big axe, which could punch through titanium and dent hardox. It has beaten some good robots like Fire and Ice and Kali. However, its painted lime green, so it might induce some people to throw up?

So, here we go with the second eliminator. Megabyte immediately starts to spin up to its maximum potential, and it SMASHES into Wheely Pure Evil!
CRASH!!!
OH!! That took the side panel out completely! Now, Intrigue comes in for the kill on Megabyte before it gets spinning!
WHACK!!
OH!! That makes a nice huge dent in the shell there! Now Wheely Pure Evil comes in and€¦.
FLIP!
OH!!! Nice flip by Wheely Pure Evil there! That sent Megabyte 13 feet up into the air and it lands back into the arena with a loud thud! Now, Megabyte tries to self-right, but as mentioned before, it takes a long time to right itself. Intrigue comes in with the axe, and buries it into Megabyte!
WHACK!!
OH!!! Nice attack by Intrigue there, it made a hole in the base armour! Intrigue lets go of the axe and Megabyte is flipped again by Wheely Pure Evil!
FLIP!
WAH-HEY! That sent Megabyte FLYING again and almost over the fence, but€¦ uh oh. Dan, you really shouldnt have flipped Megabyte BACK ONTO ITS WHEELS!!!! Megabyte is straight back on the attack on Wheely Pure Evil and greets the side of it€¦
CRASH!
WOAH!!! Wheely Pure Evils wheel has been ripped to shreds and its flipper gets stuck open and now, Intrigue has pressed the pit button, and it is looking for Megabyte, and it buries its axe into the spinning shell of the FBS which has just started to spin up!
WHACK!
That made another huge dent in the shell of Megabyte, and now, Intrigue lets go of the axe. Wheely Pure Evil, however, is standing STONE COLD. It has been completely stunned by the attack that Megabyte gave to it. Wheely Pure Evil is being counted out now!

WORCK VS Intrigue

Ah, old bots...:wink: The very first Intrigue, too. That said, WORCK is described a lot like Envy, so Im gonna ram straight into him, and get underneath the front clearance, the front wedge spikes should help with that. Once Ive wedged him, take him to an arena side wall and just hammer the hell out of him until he dies. Failing that, wedge, snag with the axe, then drop into the pit. Self-right if needed.

Scaramanga II vs. Megabyte: Theres NO WAY Scaramanga is going to survive this - Megabyte for the win, and Scaramanga for the skip :proud:

WORCK VS Intrigue: This is REALLY ironic - Intrigue (so far) has a 7-1 win-lose ratio, with all the wins being fights Ive written, and the loss against one of my robots :)
Intrigue is an impressive looking desgin, but Im not going to treat it lightly, even though I respect it.
Intrigues sides are unskirted, and have a 5mm clearance. This means that I can ram his sides and bring him onto the flipper. With the barbs on the wedge, if one of them catches a wheel housing or tyre, hes screwed, as Ill transport him to the walls, and flip! I will AVOID THE FRONT AND REAR LIKE MAD for 2 reasons.

1: I dont like the look of the axe, especially the back.
2: Due to the surface area rule, he will, for certain, get underneath me each time with the front or rear scoops.

If he gets an axe hold, flip as the flipper takes up most of the body length and it should force the axe off me.

Turbulence is a former Roaming Robots Champion, with a flipper. It€™s got a tough shell with hardox and titanium, but it will run out of flips, and that will give Turbulence some turbulence. :proud:

This robot is brilliant. :proud: It€™s got a crusher, and lifting forks on the front, and it was runner up in Liam Eliot€™s €œROBOT SMASH!- Series 1€. However, that high ground clearence on the back doesn€™t look so good.

From Team Varying Every Day, With or Without You!

With or Without You is the 3rd clusterbot in this series, following Door Stops and Gemini. This dynamic duo is equipped with a scoop for the first half and a suicidal bar spinner for the other half. However, if the spinner€™s flipped, it€™s *plays Super Mario Bros. Game Over song*.

It crashes into Turbulence, gets under, and down comes the crusher€¦ but not causing much damage, only a little hole. Now, Without You has spun up to full speed, and it crashes into Turbulence!
CRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OH!!!! Turbulence has a small gash through the side, but€¦ OHMYGOD!!! Without You is in major peril himself, and€¦ HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! Without You is going completely crazy! Heh€¦ that was unexpected€¦ Fortunately, Turbulence is okay, but Without You has self-destructed, and is onto its back. Oh dear... Now, With You scurries to help Without You, and rams it into the wall, uh€¦ onto its wheels, Martijn. Meanwhile, Turbulence and Nidhogg are still duking it out! But now, Nidhogg comes in again, and he gets a grip on Without You€™s tyres!!!! The tyres are getting crumpled! Martijn puts his controls down and makes an X with his arms, knowing he has been defeated. Turbulence comes in, and carries Without You over to a wall!!! Now Without You is launched 18 feet over and out of the arena! Shall we, Dave?

Knocking Out has a devastating 8kg Terrorhurtz-style hammer, with spikes on it. However, it€™s armour is a bit weak, and it€™s easily flipped.

From Team Doomforall, Baldur!

Baldur has a lifting scoop for a weapon, powered by a set of pneumatics. It€™s also got tough front armour, but it€™s got no damaging weaponry.

From Team Unknown, Son of Ripper!

SoR has a very powerful flipping arm, and it has interchangable spinning weapons.
1. A saw blade
2. A vertical bar
3. A horizontal bar
However, it€™s invertible so maybe an axe or a crusher could easily crumple it.

SoR will be using the horizontal bar for this battle.

The pit opens. :proud: Turbulence escapes, but is not interested in pitting Baldur, it wants to put Baldur out of the arena! Now, clearly avoiding that scoop, Turbulence gets under from Baldur€™s side and€¦

WOAH!! Turbulence flips Baldur almost over the fence! Now, just over 45 seconds gone into this fight. Turbulence gets lifted by Baldur and it goes towards the hammers!

WOAH!!! Turbulence gets a nasty hit by the hammers! Now, Turbulence just can€™t take this anymore, and gets underneath Baldur! Now it carries Baldur to the wall, and€¦ it€™s time to say good bye, Alex!

SoR has to watch those tyres. They are highly exposed for Nidhogg€™s razor-sharp claw, but now, SoR gets under the rear end, and flips Nidhogg over!
FLIP!
That flip sent Nidhogg 2 feet up into the air and tumbling down back onto its wheels! Now, SoR gets its bar spun up, but Nidhogg has a grip on SoR and drags it towards the kill-saws! BZZT! Sparks are flying, and the audience loves it! No damage is caused to SoR from the crusher whatsoever. Now, Nidhogg lets go of SoR. Bad idea. SoR gets underneath again and€¦
FA-LIP!
WOAH! Nidhogg soars again! Now, Nidhogg self-rights, and it has a grip on SoR again, and this time, it sends SoR into the hammers, but SoR somehow escapes! Now, getting the bar spun up, and it hits Nidhogg in the side!
CRASH!!
Nothing but a medium-size scratch is given to Nidhogg. We€™re looking at a minute and a half into the fight, but both bots are still duking it out! The bar of SoR spins up again, and scratches the other side of Nidhogg!
CRASH!!!
Now, SoR presses the pit button, but Nidhogg clamps SoR again, and lets go. SoR gets underneath the rear again, and€¦
FLIP!
That didn€™t flip Nidhogg so high, but now, Nidhogg self-rights! Nidhogg€™s ground clearence gets under AJ€™s machine, and now, it pushes SoR into the wall!
WHAM!
AJ gets slammed into the wall, but time is running out€¦

AJ gets underneath again, and€¦
FA-LIP!
WOAH! That sent Nidhogg nearly in the pit, and it tries escaping! Its wheels get stuck!

OH! SoR is launched 7 feet high up in the air! But now, SoR self-rights, and gets its blade up to speed again! Now, SoR hits the rear end with the bar!
CRASH!!!!
That didn€™t leave anything but a scratch. SoR backs into the pit button. The pit yawns open. Turbulence backs off and zoooooms into SoR and flips it!
FLIP!
WOAH! That is a hell of a flip! Now, AJ is looking worried, and now it spins its bar up to speed, and€¦
CRASH!!
WOAH-HO! That leaves a small gash on the back there, but now, Turbulence immediately fights back with some of its own power!
FLIP!!
WOAH!!! That sends AJ€™s machine 8 feet up in the air, and back into the arena with a loud thump! Now, AJ is peeved, and can€™t take this anymore, so he drives SoR right into Turbulence and gets under the back! OH NO! Turbulence is now being pushed towards the pit€¦ and€¦

No Objections out. I really like the design of Joeys machine, but somehow I dont think its suited that well for combat.

Wedge Devo AKA Wedge Devolution is one of the most successful robots in Steve McGregor€™s team. It€™s got a nasty high-pressure CO2 flipper, which is able to give out 34 flips! However, it will run out of flips.

From Team Iron Diamond, Cat with Wheels!

Cat with Wheels is a low wedge with sloped sides, and it has a nice flipper, powered by 2 rams at 500PSI. However, I€™m not a fan of that titanium armour and those nasty spinners can tear it apart.

From Team Vladmeisters, Vlad the Impaler!

Vlad the Impaler is a 2-Time Battlebot Champion, and a 1-time runner up for Battlebots. It€™s got a wicked forklift powered by gas, but its self-righting piston can be unreliable.

3, 2, 1, ACTIVATE!

Vlad immediately zooms towards Wedge Devo, and at the same time, Wedge Devo immediately zooms towards Vlad, gets under, and flips it!
FLIP!!
WOAH!! Vlad soars almost over the fence, and if that really happened, that would€™ve been the quickest match in RoboBash yet! Now, Vlad self-rights, but Cat with Wheels comes in and flips Vlad over again!
FLIP!!!
OH!!! Vlad just soars 12 feet into the air and comes back down with a loud thud! Now, Vlad self-rights, but Wedge Devo just zooms in again, gets under Vlad and CARRIES IT TO THE WALL!!!
FA-LIP!!!
And after just 21 seconds, Wedge Devo ejects Vlad over and out of the arena!!!

Mega Masher is going to mash you like mashed potatoes if you don€™t run away. :proud: A Minion-type clone, this brilliant machine has a wedge on the front, a self-righting bar on the side and a disc on the back spinning at 2000RPM. Its top speed is only 12 mph, though.

No Objections has got a stay-in-place spinner, and an actuated lifter. Possibly overweight, but this looks like a very original design.

From Team Unknown, Yet Another Cut Above the Rest!

YACATR will cut you up like apples if you dont run away. This monster has a huge spinner that spins very fast (uh€¦ just how many RPMs, AJ? :wink:), made out of titanium. It€™s spun using a single LEM-200, and the robot is built in a way that it can€™t be beached. But, its pushing power is not the best by a long shot.

YIPE! That took a whole side skirt clean off! Mega Masher gets away, and now, it drives its disc into No Objections!

Nothing but a small gash is left in No Objections. Now, YACATR immediately zooms away and crashes into Mega Masher!

YACATR took another side skirt out, and Mega Masher€¦ uh€¦ Mega Masher, don€™t you know that a huge flywheel is about to hit you with a force of a jackhammer? :proud: Now, Mega Masher is not moving€¦ it€™s been completely stunned by the attack AJ gave to it, but its disc has somehow gotten up to full speed. Now, YACATR just lines its disc up with Mega Masher€™s disc, and with perfect synchronization, YACATR STRIKES THE VERTICAL DISC, IN A MAD VERTICAL VS HORIZONTAL SHOWDOWN!!!!!
CRASH!!!!!!!!!!
OHMYGAWWWWWWWWD!!!!!!!! THAT HIT IS MONUMENTAL!!!!!!! It sent both bots flying, but Mega Masher is on its back, but is not able to move, nor self-right. No Objections crashes into Mega Masher, and sends it near the pit. Now YACATR nudges Chris€™s machine into the pit, and€¦ BOOM! See ya later, Chris.

WOAH!! Now that€™s a big flip! Wedge Devo flips No Objections 9 feet up in the air€¦ and ironically, it doesn€™t go over the fence€¦ but now, Wedge Devo is being pushed by No Objections€¦

WOAH-HO! That hit sent another chunks of armour flying! Now, Cat with Wheels goes up to YACATR again, and now, it€™s trying to flip it over, and fires its flipper!

That didn€™t really flip YACATR but just sort of lifted it up. Anyway, now YACATR spins up, and€¦

WOAH!!!! YACATR soars but not over the fence! That is really a close call for AJ, there. We€™re looking at 2 minutes into the fight, but both robots are still duking it out! Wedge Devo pushes the flywheel-bot into the wall!

Now, YACATR spins up again, and keeps barging into the rear end!

OH-HO!! The back armour takes another brutal punishment, and there€™s a small gash in the armour! But now, time is running out.
