Great stuff Martijn!
«SOR 5.5 vs. Metal Sonic Spin Dash»
Haha! I cant beleive it! :proud: This is going to be a tough match, but a great one whatever the outcome is. First of all Im going to take my bar to those skirts. I will aim to rip them off if possible or at least mangle them to allow me to get under easier. From there, slide the flipper under and keep throwing it over. Ill try to throw it OOTA, pit it, whatever - just get rid of it. Its saw is going to have a hard time getting under my skirts, and then its going to do minimal damage to the 4mm Hardox. If it comes down to the pushing game we both have the same drive set-up, so this is going to be interesting. Hopefully I can swing this one on the damage factor. Good luck Steve, this should be fun!

ACTIVATE!
This match takes us back to the days of Velociraptor€™s Fanfic Tournament - Series 1, where SOR and SD fought for gold in the series€™ final. SOR won all those years ago, and Steve is out to seek his revenge! Metal Sonic Spin Dash drives forward 18 mph and tries to attack SOR. SOR though steers better than its six-wheel driven nemesis and the blade now is at the sawbot€™s side! There is nothing Steve can do to avoid the weapon now!
CLANG!
SOR€™s small but vicious weapon unleashes its energy on Steve€™s left skirt! Steve drives backwards but Andy can keep up and the bar strikes again! Its speed decreased a but after the first hit , but Steve still ain€™t pleased being hit two times in a row! MSSD steadily reaches its 18 mph top speed again and is save now, the bar joint looking awfully€¦ bad. SOR brings in its flipper now and MSSD goes out to meet him. The Son of Ripper has lined up its flipper but SD is coming at him as a raging bull! A small flick of Steve€™s controller moves MSSD underneath SOR€™s front-left corner! SPARKS! Saw-weapons often bring a spectacular sight but how effective are they against SOR€™s Hardox armour? More dangerous than the saw however is MSSD€™s position underneath SOR! Steve takes Andy€™s notorious flipper for a ride that ends at the very boundary of my arena, against the wall!
CLANG!
The impact levers SOR over MSSD and a meter or so behind it! Our hedgehog turns around immediately and drives to the right flank of SOR, who can€™t help being hit from the side by MSSD€™s wedge! MSSD€™s spatula works wonders now and the wedge is penetrated, and the saw is positioned against it! The sparks and buzzing sound prove the saw is doing its job, but a lifted skirt does not render SOR immobile by far! Away he drives, and MSSD€™s left side where he the skirt was damaged not too long ago. SOR has no problem getting under that very skirt, MSSD tries to resist with all its six wheels, but SOR fires its flipper!
FA-LIP!
Everyone€™s favourite sawbot is inverted. Steve invested in a good srimech though when he redesigned Spin Dash and before he, or Andy, knows it the machine is back on its wheels! Andy turns around to give SD another smack with the blade. A small clang is heard but the blade hits MSSD€™s front-right corner rather than the Hardox, so the damage is almost non-existent. In fact Steve responses by putting his rambot in forward gear, only steering a small bit to get underneath SOR€™s rear with the blade spinning safely above its head! Some more steering brings the duo in a perfect line to the pit, something Steve now abuses with all his might:proud:! SOR fires its flipper hoping to get off, but it€™s no use!!! Spin Dash has its revenge!

Jack Kennedy vs Killotine: EVO vs Take me out: Im guessing that the loss is going to go to Jack Kennady.

Jack Kennedy VS KILLOTINE: EVO VS Take Me Out
Im really not sure who to go for here. If Jack Kennedy comes my way, Ill try slipping under the corners of the skirts and sticking my axe into the titanium. If Im very lucky, Ill get the axe blade caught in a wheel house and have a slightly easier time dragging it over to the pit.
If Take Me Out has a pop at me, Ill head for the sides again (No skirts this time, though. Goody!), get a good grip on it with the axe and power it into the pit before it can flip itself free.

Achilles (7) vs MeCannibal vs Seung Mina II
OMG ACHILLES!!! *dies* ...joking. :proud: Seung Minas previous generation...lets see. Two powerful flippers and a suicidal ring spinner? Would be wise for me and Achilles to gang up on it. *SHOCKHORROR* Shouldnt be hard at all. :proud:

Oooh arent I the popular one...
Hmm... as for tactics, im inclined to agree with Kody.... leavign a powerful wildcard ring spinner in the game is too much of a gamble. Pnuematics is the best option, try and only attack when its not up to speed though, and preferably let Kody be the one that makes it that way
-

In that case, Seung Mina II will box rush MeCannibal and watch it explode on contact. If that doesnt do it, let Achilles have his fun and join in occasionally. :proud:

Mechanical Noise - Series 2
Having a look at Kodys and Alexs tactics, Ill let Kody ram me, and then chase after Achilles - he has some juicy Titanium sides that I can target and rip into, and maybe even off. I can also go for Seung Minas flipping arm - his body may be 6mm Hardox, but the arm is ABC.
Those are my tactics, but Im guessing Im going to lose!

Fight 1
Achilles (7) vs MeCannibal vs Seung Mina II
Achilles (7): Perhaps Alex H€™s most consistent machine. The 2 ETEK€™s and powerful flipper (interchangeable with a hydraulic clamper, mind you) make a feared opponent in anyone€™s book!
In MN1: Has beaten Cacodemon, 13Black and Orka MK4, but lost to Wedge Devolution in the semies.
MeCannibal: One of Paul€™s earlier machines. The concept has what it takes to become a dangerous ring-spinner, but could it be too dangerous for its own good?
In MN1: Did not compete.
Seung Mina II: This is where Kody enters the tournament. Seung Mina is a long wedge-flipper which knows how to perform an OOTA!

ACTIVATE!
Seung Mina is the vapour most eager to leave its starting square, MeCannibal and Achilles seemingly waiting for the right moment to strike. While MeCannibal is slowly spinning up its heavy ring, Kody makes it his business to wedge rush that weapon ASAP. The shufflers underneath MeCannibal don€™t give it the grip to dodge this attack, courtesy of the full-bodied skirt, and the full body spinner gets wedged! Seung Mina does not quite get underneath that skirt, but pretty much manages to push the Cannibal regardless. The ring has to little effect at its current speed, and Seung Mina takes it all the way towards the wall!
CLANG!
MeCannibal leaves the collision through the side door and embraces its second chance to spin up its weapon. Achilles slowly attempts to join the battle, but Seung Mina is still eager as hell and attacks MeCannibal again. The ring spinner is spinning faster and faster, and Paul€™s brave enough to face Mina this time. The two collide, head on!
CRASH!
Ouch, the power of MeCannibal€™s weapon can€™t be denied anymore. Seung Mina makes a 360 across the ground, but MeCannibal itself is far from unharmed either! The Hardox wedge hitting those powerful teeth leaves MeCannibal in a harmonious dance that€™d make Mauler jealous for sure. Seung Mina is slowly recovering from the hit, but Achilles is quicker on its feet€¦ errrm€¦ wheels, this time around. As if he planned this all along, Alex drives Achilles towards the totally out of control MeCannibal, and the duo hits the arena wall!
CLANG!
Kody decides not to intervene, knowing the reputation of Achilles€™ flipper. Alex activates his flipper, and proves Kody right!

Jack Kennedy vs Killotine: EVO vs Take me out
Jack Kennedy: Or €œI knew Jack Kennedy and you sir are no Jack Kennedy€Â. Basically the only interchangeable vapour in Tony€™s squad. This invertible box has either a pair of horizontal or a pair of vertical discs to choose from, posh!
Jack Kennedy will use the vertical discs today.
In MN1: Did not compete.
Killotine: EVO: Steeeeeeeeve€™s axebot! :proud: Killotine is the famous axebot that combines the drive of Storm with the weapon or Killerhurtz. Clam and pit is its motto :proud:.
In MN1: Has beaten Rammy mk 3 in round 1 with some help of the series€™ most successful realie, 13Black, to be beaten by Orka MK4 in round 2.
Take me out: Your basic all-powerful wedge-flipper, this time presented to you by Martyn. That pretty much sums up this proven concept :proud:.

Tony has his eyes aimed for those juicy aluminium panels on Take me out, whereas Martyn€™s eyes are set on that lovely non-invertible body of Killotine. Killotine gets in line to defend itself from Take me out, but Jack Kennedy€™s speed advantage makes sure the flipper doesn€™t even reach Killotine in the first place!
CRUNCH!
The small discs may lack serious power, their spin-up time is nothing short of formidable and their shape can really hurt Take me out€™s aluminium! One of the discs effectively hits Take me out and made a tiny slice in the armour, and due to the discs being powered by separate motors, the other one did not stall at all! Take me out retreats just before receiving another disc blow. Jack Kennedy gives chase, but Take me out outsmarts the former US president and penetrates it€™s front, just out of reach of the discs, and activates its flipper! Take me out takes Jack Kennedy up into the air to land on the other side of that invertible body. With Jack Kennedy out of the way for now and Killotine in close proximity, Martyn wants to engage the axebot in battle. Steve moves his finger to a big red button on his controller that reads €œaxe€ when Take me out carefully moves in diagonally towards Killotine. The axebot turns, the axe falls down€¦ and misses! Take me out wedges Killotine, who tries to drive off, but Martyn fires his flipper! When Killotine flies through the air we see how Jack Kennedy has completely recovered from Take me out€™s attack. Fuelled by the earlier success of the discs, and scared by Killotine€™s Hardox, Tony again attacks Take me out!
CLANG!
Killotine selfrights, while Take me out topples on the impact of Jack Kennedy€™s vertical disc weapons. Steve sees Jack Kennedy being under attack and decides to join Kennedy€™s attack, if only to get revenge after that nasty flip. Killotine wedges Take me out from the side and strikes with the axe!
CLANG!
The axe-head hits the flipper but couldn€™t quite pierce it. Take me out attempts to get away from its wedged position, but Steve pulls back the axe to give it another try.
CLANG!
This time the axe pierces the flipper, totally. Take me out is stuck and Killotine turns around, to the pit! Take me out fires its flipper, but Killotine manages to hold on. Getting closer to the pit€¦ Take me out fires again. It€™s free! But wait€¦ Jack Kennedy€™s coming in! Take me out can€™t respond in time, when those bloody discs give it the final nudge!

Achilles (7) vs Jack Kennedy
Id love to say that Jack Kennedy will cause a huge upset, but I think Achilles favourable rep will get him by here. :proud:
Killotine: EVO vs Seung Mina II
Wow, I must be psychic or something. :lame: Anyway it looks like Seung Mina is about to make ANOTHER Round 2 exit...so Id guess Id better give some good tactics to try and make it otherwise. :proud:
First off, Id like to see Killotine try to really damage 6mm hardox armour, but its not the axe that worries me: its the power. Its LEM can outdo her S28s, and it has 4WD to Minas 2WD, so Killotine will win in a pushing battle for sure. So the main tactics? Avoid the front at all costs. :proud: Those side skirts look quite tempting, but not at all what Im looking for. The other main tactic is to try and get to Killotines rear skirt and under it for a flip. This should work very well in my favour as when flipped like that, Killotine will only be able to self-right directly onto the wedge, and Mina can take it to the wall for a lovely OOTA. :proud: If Killotine doesnt want to self-right right away, begin nudging it, but dont get it fully on the wedge as this may cause Killotine to self-right off of and leave me at a huge disadvantage, as hell be facing her rear end! If Mina fails to penetrate to skirt, back off, and try once again.
Summary: Avoid Killotines front, get to the rear, flip, wait for self-right onto wedge, carry to wall, flip. :proud:
Still lookin sharp, Martijn. :proud:

Achilles comes marching in with the torque-advantage on its side. Lacking any respect towards the former US-president, Achilles attacks it from the left field. Tony attempts to save the president but the Greek warrior is quick.
CLANG!
Jack Kennedy€™s left side suffers from the attack of Achilles, but it hangs on thanks to that skirt. Achilles can€™t really push the invertible box because Tony accelerates it and successfully drives away now. Achilles turns, as does Jack Kennedy. Jack Kennedy comes in on a still turning Achilles, resulting in Jack Kennedy driving straight in on Achilles€™ flipper!
CRASH!
The two discs hit the titanium that exists there, and the armour clearly suffers from it! Alex is too experienced to not make the best out of this situation though and he activates his weapon.
FA-LIP!
Two discs get some airtime until Jack Kennedy flops down, its rear-skirt facing a marching in Achilles. Tony is under fire, but a very quick maneuver from his side turns the odd. It is Jack Kennedy who€™s skirt finds its way underneath Achilles€™ front-corner, and Tony takes Alex€™ dream machine towards the wall!
CLANG!
Jack Kennedy reverses and U-turns to hit Achilles with the discs, which is his specialty more so than wedging and box-rushing. A free Achilles catches Jack Kennedy in the middle of the U-turn before Tony can respond. Achilles pushes Jack Kennedy in a straight line with the wall far away but the pit a lot closer. Where€™s that pit exactly? Ah yes, there it is.

ACTIVATE!
Kody is eager to put up a good fight here, but straight from the start it becomes clear that Killotine has the better motors. When the two machines meet however, Seung Mina shows off what she has going for her, her superior maneuverability. The 2WD machine reaches Killotine€™s rear with little effort and Kody does what he can to get his wedge under Killotine. His initial attempt fails however, and Killotine starts turning around. While doing so, Steven pretty much gives Kody the opportunity to slide underneath Killotine€™s rear-corner, which Kody gracefully does. Enter the flipper€¦
FLIP!
According to plan, Seung Mina inverts Killotine. Well€¦ not completely according to plan. The flip was performed at a corner so Killotine now resides before Seung Mina at a small corner. Killotine self rights with a quick flick of the axe, and Steve€™s axebot drives backwards before Seung Mina can cause any harm. Mina gives chase and Killotine answers with a rush forwards. Seung Mina gets under Killo and€¦ Killo penetrates Mina€™s flipper? While on top of Mina€™s wedge Steve still managed to get an axe-blow in on Mina€™s ABC flipper. Mina still activates its flipper, but Killotine is really stuck on top of it through the axe and does not get much airtime. The flipper twacks down, removing Killotine from it on impact. The axebot reverses slightly, but the agile Mina tries to get around the back again. Killotines is also on the attack now, but Mina is just more agile and pretty much rams Killotine€™s back! The wedge doesn€™t get underneath straight away but Kody is slightly more persistent this time, and Mina is under!
FLIP!
Killotine is reversed, Mina waiting behind him. Steve does what seems the logical thing to do for anyone in this situation, he uses his srimech. And self righting he does, straight on top of Mina€™s wedge! Kody€™s pleased with this outcome and speeds Killotine towards the wall, but it slowly becomes clear that the low and long wedge of Seung Mina isn€™t really suited for pushing, and Killotine slowly slides of, sideways. By the time the wall is in sight, Kody fires his flipper.
FLIP!
The flip isn€™t that efficient and Killotine falls off the side of Mina, as a matter of fact, it faces its side with that mighty axe!
CLANG!
Down comes the axe on Mina€™s Hardox, not all that effective really, and Steve pulls back the axe and accelerates.
CLANG!
Again, no Hardox is pierced. What Steve has going for him however is the fact that his wedge is well underneath Mina:proud:! Killotine goes forward!

What€™s interesting to say is that back in Mechanical Noise - Series 1, many predicted this fight to be the Heat F final. Back then, Chris Mason proved the criticisers wrong by flipping Killotine OOTA in the 2nd round, only to fall against Achilles in the Heat Final. Steve got his €œrevenge€ then by beating Achilles with Wedge Devolution on a JD in the semies, but Alex had the last word when Black Panther Queen beat Wedge Devo in the finals :proud:. Back in the present day, Achilles€™ Eteks push it forward and towards Steve€™s axing menace. Killotine may have a disadvantage when it comes to speed and drive, the axebot is slightly more controlled and heck, those skirts offer some nice protection against Achilles€™ weaponry, as is showed off right now when Achilles tries to get under Killotine€™s side. Achilles initial attempt fails here and Steve makes sure he won€™t get a second chance. Killotine skid-steers around Achilles€™ chassis and reaches Achilles€™ side, only to come by the same problems Achilles encountered earlier, those blasted skirts :proud:. Luckily Killotine€™s weapon doesn€™t rely on getting underneath stuff, and Steve brings down his mighty axe :proud:!
CLANG!
CLANG!
Achilles is left vibrating after 2 axe-blows in quick succession, but other than the judges noting this display of aggression, Alex is happy to see the attack had little effect. Achilles€™ top is by far the best-protected area of the machine with 10 mm rubber over 5 mm of titanium. Achilles accelerates away from the pressure Killotine is putting him under, and makes a 360, giving Steve a nice view of that feared flipper. Achilles steams in, fully aware of how Killotine€™s weapon only hits that what€™s right in front of it, and rams the front-corner of Killotine! Killotine lowers the axe but narrowly misses Achilles! Achilles is underneath the front now, and activates the flipper.
FLIP!
Now it€™s Killotine€™s turn to make a 360, a 360 through the air that is :proud:. Alex is displeased to see himself failing to through Killotine on its back, but given the position in which Killotine lands in front of him, receives one helluva second chance. Achilles attacks Killotine€™s front, again. Killotine uses its axe, again€¦
CLANG!
Only this time the axe does hit its target! The damage is minimal however, and Achilles continues to get underneath Killotine and flip it€¦
FLIP!
On it€™s back this time! Achilles nudges Killotine as it starts to self-right, out of danger. Achilles is quick to turn however and can now be found at Killotine€™s side, pushing it, towards the wall!
CLANG!
Killotine finds itself closed in by Achilles and the wall on either side, and because of this Achilles quite easily pierces Killotine€™s skirt now! Lets see what a flick of the flipper can do, shall we Alex?

Woot! Can I say that you took inspiration from my R5 fight in E.O.T.R 2?. If so then VERY GOOD FIGHT. If not then UNBELIEVEABLY GOOD FIGHT
Cyberdemon (9) vs BIACS-LE vs Wedginator 5.0: Lets see - Wedginator has the power, but is vulnerable to spinners. BIACS-LE is flipper and spinner-proof, but it isnt unstoppable. Cyberdemon has the power, but it cannot give tactics :proud:. Ill go for Wedginator to go out.
Turbulence vs Starstorm 2 vs MORD2: This is the Turbulence with more power in the flipper than orginally, more control, more pushing power, and better armour. The only problem is that its more flippable than before, so go for Starstorm (as it lacks in the pushing department ) and flip it onto its back. Whilst self-righting, make sure it bounces onto my flipper, push it to the edge and flip it out! If Rich wishes to gang-up on Frank, then thatll be fine.

Ive said it before, Ill say it again 9 times out of 10, pushing power is overrated. If your opponants wheels arent on the ground, you can push them no matter how much HP youve got.

Ah, the old 5.0 version. Lets improve Wedginators awesome record, and prove Paul wrong, shall we? :proud:
First off, BIACS-LE is a spinner, not a flipper. Keeping in mind that this is a pretty awkward spinner to fight, so Ill go for Cyberdemon and try to cause an upset. Hit him, keep hitting him, hit him til I get under, and flip him over. The added 5mm lexan on my flipper, and 15mm polycarbonate armour (really, 20mm in polycarb armour since theyre the same :proud:) shouldnt be breached TOO quickly. Avoid BIACS-LE, but he comes for me, try and push Cyberdemon into him. Really, Cyberdemon is kinda scary, but if you can stop it spinning up, its quite a pushover, and thats what I intend.

Fight 1
Cyberdemon (9) vs BIACS-LE vs Wedginator 5.0
Cyberdemon (9): A translational spinner shaped like an octagon with sloped side allover , courtesy of Tony. This full body spinner uses its drive train to literally spin up the entire body and wreck havoc everywhere. However, Tony has some genuine control-concerns.
In MN1: Has beaten Slammer V in round 1 on a JD together with the later champ, Psyclonised, won its 2nd battle by ripping Axe-O-Lotl to shreds, only to be beaten by its round 1 buddy Psyclonised in the heat final.
Also, Cyberdemon won MN1€™s €œmost aggressive€Â-award.
BIACS-LE: What€™s to say about this original concept of Matty? This Stinger-like axlebot has a big vertical flywheel rather than a lousy harpoon to get rid of its opposition. It also has a protecting cage that protects either the front or the rear, depending on the position of the disc.
In MN1: Did not compete.
Wedginator 5.0: Probably the most successful machine Kody has to offer. This version of Wedginator is a member of the seldom seen race of front-hinged flippers. Add to this a 2 wheel drive-system and a pair of LEM130€™s, and you have one effective robot :proud:.

With Cyberdemon and Wedginator, this match has 2 very fast competitors engaging each other. Cyberdemon is spinning up rather than driving around, but Wedginator has no such limitations and drives straight in on the translational spinner! Cyberdemon attempts to get out of Wedginator€™s way now, but that translational drive system combined with such a high top speed gives the spinner too little control!

BIACS-LE is getting nearer and nearer to the wedge€™s rear, and even though Kody tries to dodge this attack, the disc comes down!
CRASH!
While the judges note how Cyberdemon successfully self-righted using its pneumatic srimech, Wedginator€™s top suffers from the force of BIACS-LE€™s weapon. A gash across the flipper is seen, but Kody is happy to see it is only superficial damage, or so he thinks. Wedginator now drives away from BIACS-LE and towards Cyberdemon. Anthony on the other hand has used the time he got from BIACS-LE and Wedginator meddling with each other to spin up his robot. Wedginator on the attack.
CRASH!
Cyberdemon€™s octagon has hit Wedginator€™s front-skirt, and ripped the Hardax plate straight off! Wedginator is swept aside, and Cyberdemon moves on to face BIACS-LE next! Matty is hardly afraid of the translational spinner and has a go now€¦
CRASH!!!!!!
BIACS-LE€™s vertical flywheel confronts Cyberdemon€™s translational body! The results are explosive to say the least! BIACS-LE makes a 360 and sees its wheel being nudged by Cyberdemon€™s teeth, badly. Cyberdemon however, received a hit on its top by BIACS-LE€™s weapon, and has its srimech badly damaged! Wedginator is quick to respond on this new development and wedge-rushes Cyberdemon. Front-skirt or no front-skirt, Wedginator penetrates Cyberdemon€™s ground clearance and activates its flipper! Last year€™s most aggressive vapour ain€™t so aggressive now, as it lays on its back with its srimech badly deformed. Can Cyberdemon get back on its wheels?! Guess not!
CEASE
Cyberdemon (9) has been beaten into submission
BIACS-LE and Wedginator 5.0 go through to round 2!

Fight 2
Turbulence vs Starstorm 2 vs MORD2
Turbulence: The first realie enters the tournament, thanks to Paul being so kind to enter it. It is, well a wedge-flipper, that happens to be the old Fighting Robots UK champion of 2006.
In MN1: Did not compete.
Starstorm 2: A totally unique dome-shaped full body flipper designed by Frank. It€™s nifty skirts are powered by an actuator so the machine can have either 0 or 5 mm ground clearance, depending on the situation.
In MN1: Did not compete.
MORD2: Another shuffling bot by Richard :proud:. This one, Master of Robot Destruction, is a skirted invertible box that uses an invertible scoop as its weapon, with a drum hidden behind that scoop. Talking about synergy!

The Master of Robot Destruction is quick on its shafts and seemingly eager for blood. The machine heads for Starstorm first, who€™s lowering his skirts in response and attempts to dodge this first attack. Seeing his opponents skirts lowered, Richard decides to raise his scoop and attack Starstorm with his drum. How quick is Startstorm to respond?
CRASH!
Not quick enough! Superficial damage is seen from the impact of MORD€™s drum on Starstorm€™s body! In the meanwhile, Turbulence comes driving in on Starstorm, but the letter returns the favour and turns towards the turbulent realie. Through turning though, Starstorm leaves a small gap between its skirts and the ground which Turbulence immediately takes advantage of! The realie wedges the flipper and flips!
FLIP!
Starstorm is send up and over and lands on its back! Turbulence accelerates and Starstorm selfrights€¦ straight on top of Turbulence. Well, actually, on top of Turbulence€™s rear! Before Paul can fire that flipper Starstorms slides down Tubrulence€™s rear and hits the ground. MORD comes in now, on Turbulence€™s side! The scoop does what it€™s designed for and overthrows Turbulence, the realie landing on its back, at the mercy of MORD€™s drum!
CRASH!
Turbulence€™s side is dented and Starstorm rages in to give MORD some help!
CLANG!
Starstorm rushes Turbulence against the wall! Startorm€¦ activates its flipper!

WAY-HEY! I was right :proud:
Wedginator 5.0 vs MORD2
Ill go for Wedginator to edge this one, based on the fact its probably more maneuvrable and could probably push MORD around.
Starstorm 2 vs BIACS-LE
I cant really see what Starstorm can do to BIACS-LE, so unless theres a breakdown or Starstorm manages an OOTA Id predict BIACS-LE to win.
(Wedginator 5.0 vs BIACS-LE)
Again, unless Wedginator can manage an OOTA Id have to go for BIACS-LE.

Woohoo! :proud:
Wedginator 5.0 vs. M.O.R.D. 2
Eep. :S
Not quite confident about this one, as M.O.R.D. 2 here is quite good. I may be faster, and have more motor power (LEM130s on 48v compared to 4 Perm 080s? lol :proud:), but I have 2WD compared to his camshafts, which would probably have better traction, so he probably would be able to push me around a bit. Im thinking of a reckless frontal attack to penetrate the scoop and stop the drum, but if that fails on the first attempt, Ill go for the sides. Basically Ill have to use my manoeuvrability advantage to slip around to M.O.R.D.s sides, try to get at those skirts (which, ironically, Im fairly confident I can get under) wedge him, and then carry him to the pit or something else nasty. If Im feeling lucky, Ill try to get an OOTA by rushing towards the wall and hitting the flipper button like a half a second before I hit the wall. I believe it would be enough to get him over.
After the first reckless charge: dodge that front! If he gets under my front skirt with the scoop, or anywhere else for that matter, then I think Im numbered, so really, try to avoid that. And Ill count my lucky stars if I manage to get out of THAT one. :proud:
Summary: Start out with a frontal attack; failing that go for sides, slip under, ram to pit or flip OOTA.
Fantastic first-round battle, Martijn, except Im not sure how Cyberdemon ripped off Wedginators front skirt, having the spikes on top instead of the edge, but good regardless. :proud:

Drat, forgot about the other fight. :proud:
Starstorm 2 vs BIACS-LE
Here, I think, is where BIACS-LE will have problems. The shape of Starstorm is hard to hit, and more or less impossible to flip over with a vertical disc unless its hit REALLY awkwardly. Ill give this one to Starstorm 2.
Heres hoping you give Richard a good fight in the Heat Final, Frank

No messing around. Get straight under BIACS-LE, carry it to the arena wall and flip it OOTA. I think Kody already pointed out my best advantages in this fight:)

MORD2 will try to shove Wedginator against the walls and hopefully whack the underside with the drum, or just use the drum if I cant catch him on the scoop

There we go, MORD€™s drum starts spinning viciously and clearly visible for the audience, and Wedginator starts spinning up its wheels, slightly less viciously but still with great acceleration. MORD shuffles around, lining up for the first confrontation with its opponent, but Wedginator does not show such care! The wedge comes raging in like a mad rhinoceros for a reckless full-out attack on MORD! Richard did not anticipate such an attack at all, such aggression, such recklessly!
CLANG!
CRASH!
Wedginator shoots under the scoop of MORD, receives a knock by the drum on its polycarb top, but isn€™t thrown back by it due to the momentum Wedginator had! Other than pushing MORD, the drumbot shoots over and lands right behind Wedginator! An aggressive display by Kody who now sees he has to pay the price with some serious scratches on his flipper, courtesy of that drum (you know which one). MORD turns around to bring in its weapon on Wedginator, and Kody follows Richard€™s example (guess which one can turn faster ). Wedginator attacks MORD€™s side skirts with its own skirt. Wedginator does not manage to get under straight away, but he DOESN manage to do so after pushing MORD a centimeter or 2 :proud:. Kody€™s glad he made his skirt of Hardox, as it seriously helps him in getting under the titanium skirted MORD. Richard now tries to get his machine back on the ground by LOWERING the invertible scoop, pushing himself off Kody€™s wedge. Kody decides to help Richard a little and activates his flipper :proud:.
FLIP!
Not as devastating as most rear-hinged flippers, Wedginator€™s front-hinged flipper still does what it€™s supposed to do and throws MORD away. Richard couldn€™t care less it seems, his machine runs on its back just as well as it does on its belly. The past NSBFL winner turns around, and heads towards the current EOTR runner-up. Kody prepares, but Richard changes his course ever so slightly, and sticks his scoop under one of the points of Wedginator€™s triangular base! The duo travels towards the arena wall were MORD puts Wedginator in an upright position!
CRASH!
The drum hits Wedginator€™s belly! Luckily for Kody, he made his wheels stick out. Balancing on 1 wheel with its top against the wall, Wedginator drives away from MORD and fires its flipper, against the wall, to end up back on its wheels, but not before Kody becomes aware of that huge crack in Wedginator€™s base! MORD gives chase€¦
CRASH!
The drum attacks Wedginator€™s side just as the robot was turning around to face MORD. Wedginator however continues its current maneuver and penetrates MORD, from the side, and takes Richard€™s pride for a ride! Richard tries the same trick he used before, but Kody is determined this time€¦ mainly because€¦ he€™s driving to the pit! MORD nearly escapes, but Wedginator is fast€¦

It€™s full body vertical low to the ground flipper vs axlebot invertible overhead vertical disc, two original vapours if ever there were 2 :proud:. Matty realizes that Starstorm has 180 degrees of protection and therefor it doesn€™t matter from what side he attacks. His machine comes in like a€¦ bull in a China shop (:proud:) on Starstorm. Starstorm itself in the meantime also set foot in BIACS-LE€™s direction€¦
CRASH!
BIACS-LE€™s weapon comes down on Starstorm€™s Hardox dome, and sparks fly! The damage done to Starstorm is€¦ minimal, and BIACS-LE retreats its weapon. Starstorm accelerates and gets under. Matty obviously wants to use his weapon again, but Frank is faster€¦
FLIP!
The axlebot flies up, high into the air, and twacks down€¦ on it€™s disc! Matty can€™t control his creation this way. The machine travels quite some distance across the arena on its disc before it settles€¦ with Starstorm damn close to it!
FLIP!
Frank does it again :proud:. Matty€™s hardly recovered from that previous attack when Frank comes in for a second one. The throw is still a high one, but this time BIACS-LE comes down a bit more€¦ comfortable. Starstorm however has turned on the aggression now and has wedged BIACS-LE! He takes it to the wall for an OOTA, but BIACS-LE has other plans. Matty€™s in twacking mode again :proud:.
CRASH!
OMG :uhoh:. One of BIACS-LE€™s teeth caught one of Starstorm€™s weight reducing holes, and Starstorm is swept away from BIACS-LE! No matter how thick the Hardox, there€™s clearly a bit of bend metal around that hole now! Could this be a turning of the tide for BIACS-LE? In he goes again!
CRASH!
BIACS-LE does it again! He€™s less lucky with his hit this time however, even though Starstorm€™s paint suffers quite a lot :proud:.

Wedginator 5.0 vs BIACS-LE
Poot. :lame: Well, I can see why flippers dont bother Matty, as BIACS-LE is invertible and, really, awkward to flip. Thats why Im mainly going to be relying on aggression, and pure power. Drive straight into the disc and stop it, no matter what. Then shove it around, and get it into the pit. OOTAs arent Wedginators style, so go for that pit! Pit pit pit!
Good luck, Matty. :)

Wootiness of the fight variety, Marti. :proud:
Wedginator 5.0 vs. BIACS-LE
Axlebots are really awkward to flip, and BIACS-LE could probably seriously rough up Wedginator a bit. BIACS-LE to win, unless Kody can execute his pit strategy.
