OK i've been away for a while and getting back to bot building. I've been looking at my bot and in short it's sh*te. I've have two much space in parts that I don't need and not enough in areas that I do....so I've ordered some new material and the bot will be similar in design but be smaller - new size will be 400mm long x 300mm wide height approx 150mm.

I've also ordered a motor and lifter arm from a rover front car seat here:

This will be attached to my lifter and will be ran on 18.5v also (rather than 12v)
I was planning on using another Gimson motor with a car jack threaded rod however went with this option as suggest on another thread.

well......i've been working away on the bot, photos to come shortly. But i'm awaiting parts to arrive first before I can go any further. I have changed the design (again) however the drawing below is the final (ish) design:
