FRFFT: Series One

Welcome back! Last time, Deadly Lampshade put the light out on OverDrives spotlight. Next, we have two heavyweights: Shadow Zone Forever and The Hurting!

Joey has entered The Hurting, and a complex beast it is too! The main weapon is the front flywheel, and the energy produced from it powers a rear flipper, used for self-righting and attacking from behind! But with a petrol driven weapon, The Hurtings hopes could go up in smoke!

Kody has entered Shadow Zone Forever. It acts like a FWD rammer, but at the back is a Co2 powered flipper in case all else goes wrong. But with a limited Co2 supply, it needs to get the job done quickly! Will it last forever here?

3-2-1: Activate!

The Hurting jostles for position immedietly as SZF charges forth for the first attack! It is the faster overall, SZF. In comes the 3000rpm disc...Kody drives right into it! Is he mad? Maybe, but it has resulted in SZF pushing The Hurting into the wall. No action from the flipper yet. Joey tries to get away, but SZF maintains its dogged pursuit! Under again, the disc meets the front wedge and sparks fly, but no damage to the aircraft aluminium of SZF. The Hurting backs away and gets the disc up to full speed. SZF using its flipper this time...and The Hurting thrown onto its back! Kody celebrates, but The Hurting is spinning its disc up again! SZF comes in and a loud thwack echoes! Its stopped the disc! Joey cant do anything without the disc! SZF hurls it against the wall! Can it get it out...NO! Joey is up against it here! The Hurting slides to earth again and makes contact with the wedge of SZF. I can only see a few scratches. Kody doesnt want to waste any Co2, so he opts to ram The Hurting into the pit release button! OH! And as The Hurting slid down, it hit SZFs wedge and made a small cut in it! Again, and this time SZF rocks a bit, but comes back down! This is an amazing fight! SZF comes in again on the side and ALMOST...into the pit! But The Hurting gets away. Another hit. No damage this time. SZF charges in and OUCH! The side armour has buckled on SZF. The Hurting is baying for blood and it wants it badly...AND the side of the wedge buckled upwards! Oh dear! It was on top at the beginning, SZF but not now. Kody aims for the back of The Hurting and flips it up...but not over! The disc dug into the arena floor. It turns and makes contact, this time, SZF is knocked onto its side! It self-rights with the flipper, but The Hurting uses this chance to hit SZF on the underbelly! A split is formed! The judges are looking on as The Hurting comes in and tears one of the side skirts off! Another gash! The last ten seconds of the clock count down. Kody gets in one last push, up against the angle grinders! The Hurting, in trouble at the end!

Cease!

What a battle. Both robots took a beating from each other, but the judges will make the decision.

Damage weighs more, so The Hurting, by a very controversial decision, is the winner and goes into the next round!

Next time, in Heat B: More featherweights and a middleweight clash!

Did you like that heat? Im sorry if it wasnt an accurate portrayal of both robots. Same with the JD.

You fights could still use a little bit of work, particularly since little bits of detail are missed out that make the fight more interesting to watch than Hurting hits Shadow Zone. Shadow zone drives in and pushes against the wall, but The Hurting escapes and hits Shadow Zone again

Not gonna complain too much though, seeing as nothing unrealistic happened, the decision was a good reflection on the fight and I won :P, so keep up the good work in that regard :proud:

SIDE EVENT NOTICE: I would like four people (It doesnt matter if you have not entered the tournament) to enter two real robots: One UK and one USA. This is something to keep me entertained because I feel like it. I might not do it, but I feel a WOI would be exciting than my battles:proud:

Welcome back to FRFFT: Series One! Last time, Deadly Lampshade beat OverDrive to a pulp and The Hurting land Shadow Zone Forever a crippling blow! But lets see whose in the arena today!

First up, two middleweights: T-Minus and Hazard. Both are real, and theyve fought against each other before

T-Minus was entered by Samuel. Its weapon is a Co2 powered flipper capable of catapulting others into orbit. It can also self-right the robot, but the wheels are exposed and it has been unreliable in the past.

Hazard was entered by David. A four wheel box, it is armed with a spinning tool bar on the top. Sideskirts stop it from being flipped, but they can get caught in the spinning bar, and once that happens...Game Over!

3-2-1: Activate!

Theres bad blood between these two. T-Minus beat Hazard in their last encounter...and looks set to do it again! Hazard almost knocked onto its side with one flip, the sparks fly! OH! And one of the wheel guards of T-Minus has been ripped! Will the 3 time Battlebots Middleweight Champion have its revenge? T-Minus strikes again! This time, Hazards blade doesnt stop! It rips the other wheel guard completley off! A tear in the front. Samuel tries to get the flipper underneath, but the spinning blade is holding T-Minus back. Another flip...and Hazard is flung upwards! It does a two-wheeler before dropping to the ground, and T-Minus has come off worse again! The wheel has a gash in it, and it is limping away to safety...well, the CPZ to be exact! Dave has his prey cornered like a rat...OUCH! The wheel is pulled off and slides across the side of the arena like a hockey puck! T-Minus fires its flipper, but hits nothing. Dave knows he has won! This is the most destructive battle so far! T-Minus still flips away, but Refbot is counting it out!
1-2-3-4-5-6-7--8-9-10!
Hazards blade slows down to a stop. Dave nudges T-Minus a bit before pushing it closer to the pit...or the drop zone! Yes, its the drop zone! What is up there? An oven! It wasnt second time lucky for T-Minus. Down the oven comes!
CRASH!
Ha, ha! T-Minus flips it across the arena, but its too late!

Cease!

T-Minus goes into meltdown!
Hazard is the winner!
