the miserable bugger wouldnt let me keep it
I aint seen any reports from this event yet so Im curious about something and have to ask:
WTF happened to Terrorhurtz axe?!
Was it self-inflicted or the result of an attack by another bot? Whatever it was - it looks nasty :)
the big nipper guys found out what happened i think they said that the axe stopper on the front broke so that the axe hit the stainless front panel and has you know stainless if tougher than ali so the ali cracked and snapped off, well thats what they said :)
Self-inflicted, the working theory is that it was brought about through hitting the arena side-bars too hard, without anyone attacking that would not have occurred. Iron-Awe did score a direct hit on the bump-stop and then (fortunately for us) got stuck in the arena floor before doing any other damage. The actual break occurred where there was a pre-existing notch in the shaft, cant remember what that was done on. It may have been from wrestling with Big-Nipper some time ago.
Nar it tried to pick on Beast (some nice holes to prove it  )
craig dodged abit and it snapped off i think through it hitting it self (stainless steel bit) , after many years things do brake
hopefully video wil be out soon so we can watch in slow motion ;)
oh i forgot john

thanx to Dave from madteam
For those that dont know, Nick Lynch is my team mate (recruited after he sent me an amazing 3D dynamic physics model of beta that he had written from scratch), so hes right - it was from hitting the arena surround, not our stainless nose. It was still running at 160psi from the Tanto fight, so was leaving nice big dents in the steel rail.
Kane has just milled up a new 2014T6 shaft for it, this time a bit thicker. Now just a question of which axe we should use...
