ok. well any opinions on the zeobot actuator?

Space wise I have about 40-50cm length and bout 20-30cm width

We use an electric window winder mechanism from a renault with its stock CIM motor and we can easily lift 35kg with a 50cm arm on 12v with the unit held in our bench vise. We have put two of these in our lifter bot Haemorrhage and our new one. Haemorrhage has a drill motor adapted for its so it can lifter within half a second on 12v while the new lifter bot has the standard motor and can lift completely in 1 sec on 24v.

I can supply some pictures and possibly a small video is anyone is interested in the mechanism and how weve wired it up.

I would be interested in that, Im looking at the possibility of using a similar system and it would be great to have some pictures of how it can be done. :)

those zeobopt motors dont really look up to the job for full on featherweight fights, i used one in the same way over2 years ago in ploughbot. lifted 6kg, but 12 it struggled too much. Robo Challenge use a Window wiper motor with a car jack on the end for the pit, it lifts atleast 80/90kg. I think your best bet is probably the same mechanism on a drill or gold motor, i have been trying to send some pictures out recently of mine, not sending though.

Ok well ive got plenty of ww motors at my disposal, im thinking of either a similar system to alans or a car jack. Any1 any ideas how heavy and big a car jack is?

Then you can take out the leadscrew assembly. I just brought one and did that this morning actually after seeing Alans format. A drill motor should have plenty of torque to lift a feather at the end of an assembly like the one Alans made, and at quite a speed. A windscreen wiper motor would work but would be horribly slow.
I pop some pictures of the assembly up this evening. As for mark Na when you get free money spend it, dont make a homemade one ... free money?

Anybody have any idea of the reduction inside a technobot wiper motor?

And does anybody with good cad skills like to do me a drawing?

What do you want drawing and to what quality? ie.producing parts for milling or rough prototype.
