Thats the flywheel made out of? Just looking at the size of the teeth, I was more be worried about them breaking off... its a solid one piece hardox 650 disc 8mm thick. The teeth are 2cm in width and have 2cm in material attaching them to the disc. I will see how they handle impacts during testing. I can always weld some small hardox plates behind them.

actually after a bit of thought I may get JL steel services to make me a new disc when I get them to make the forks for my new heavyweight. A solid support at the back of the teeth and far more of the weight at the edge of the ring. Not quite so artistic but more effective :)

looks good, what voltage is that on? 12v? no way a scooter motor powered anything should be that slow on 24v :p
will have to finish up that lightweight ive been doing for a while. two of the 300w size motors (next step up from those) at 36v powering a 6kg block splitter. first test i sure as heck new the colour of fear :uhoh:

They are on 24v but they are old batterys putting some new ones in today. Also was not pushing the speed controler too much as it is only rated at 15amp.
