Jamie and I were trying to fit some 4QD's into Eric at the weekend and they might be a touch too big, so if you're stuck for an ESC we might be tempted to part with them.

Just to cross one option off of your list, Bosch 400s will most likely not work on 24V. Probability of frying them is high.
I would go 18v then since I stand less chance of frying them

i got bored so i started making a new parts list and if anyone has opinions on it then say. i hardly call that repeating, the old one was a bit vague so i needed to make a more refined one

well i was unsure of battery size so i just went for the same that my drive packs on my FW are.
im using 2 burkets but with a 100mm bore, 120mm stroke ram
100mm bore 120mm - 0.95l, i was more thinking 75mm bore 200mm stroke modified hydraulic cylinder. nimhs i'd say 10ah+ though you might get away with less depends on the discharge rates that the cells have.
my thinking was toon raider uses 3000mah nicad.
and i have looked into a mod hydraulic ram but i need to find one at a good price
You'll rip the chassis to pit with a ram that size, and no point if your only having one burkert feeding it. See if you can find out what size it had in before and aim around that, i would guess something like a 63mm bore 200mm stroke (same as Merlins). Why see what weight you have available and just use some cheap SLA's.
what size ram did knightmare have in it? i was think something along those lines
ah crap, ye, good point alan, i could probably push to 75mm but i dont think much more than that
Knightmare had the same 63x200 was never very good though due to the angles on the arm, was very in-efficient.
picked up my finished claw today for ReAvenger and connected them with any bolt i could find and they seem to work fine although the corners need rouding off but it should be mechaniclly finished (if all goes to plan) by saturday evening so then i just need to do the graphics then practise since my last bot, i had about 30 seconds drive before it went into the arena :lol:

Ah ye, been so busy working on my feather I ain't put it up here. Ye, it's here, need to replace some of the chassis and grind off all the surface rust but it's structurally very sound :)

I'm replacing the blots before Kidderminster but the real hard work on it will start after the event. Should be driving by whitwick and flipping by the end of next year :)
feather is almost done, now i just need to practise
and ive decided to change the name of 'Avenger' to 'Reaper' in orger to fit more with the original name
although it might be slightly confusing having 2 green robot in the arena beginning with R, but that's a long way off yet
