4 tags to watch out 4 ? think realy theres only 2 and both of them have a beauty in them;) and rip evo know ones ever seen it ;) mixture of ti and hardox should be son of beauty .
Looking good. Presumably you'll have something (skids/runners/wires) outside the skateboard wheels to keep them central in the channel? Otherwise it will just go off to one side and probably jump out of the channel. Which would be bad.
yes john i have but that was the 1st pic ;)
but it would be nice to know how high the sides are ?
4 or 102mm
How Wide is the track ? I forgot :P
1 foot, or 305mm :)
Everything's in the rules: http://home.btconnect.com/priorycastor/ ... grules.htm
Honestly, Jamie, I haven't read the rules, because I quite frankly couldn't care less. You should see my dragster, its currently still in bits.
But cheers for telling me the dimensions all the same :)
I would aim for making the width around 290-295 or something around that mark so your not rubbing too hard on the wall all the way down
Dave i am with you,as i have no idea about any of the rules,as i havn't read them either. My dragster was put together only so i can fight my robots.
im with you dave,
mine will be a grinder, a wheel, and a roll of gaffer tape, probably the night before
Public audience
This event is not based on ticket sales for entry to watch. The Audience consists of invited guests and customers of Silverline tools so we have no idea on the numbers that will be passing through. I expect the Sunday will be far busier Audience wise than the Saturday.

Just a quick question about the above.
We have friends who live in Bristol are they allowed to pay to come in?
If this is for Silverlines invited guests only, are we paying an entry fee to become Silverlines corporate entertainment for the weekend?
Clive
Is everybody else campiing or wimping it like us?
We are booked in to the travelodge in Yeovil.
I really don't think a few hundred quid from entry fees is even going to start to cover the costs of putting on an event like this.
We were gonna be camping Clive, but will be looking to book into a Travelodge or B&B tonight. In a way I'm quite glad, as the weather so far in September has been pish, so I'm opting for staying warm and dry
Will be around the campsite on Saturday night for socialising etc
I'll be camping Friday and Saturday. Do we have to ppst the cheque for entry fee/camping or can we just bring it along?
Wel G3's about done (just for whiteboards), dragster's done, Alpha is in bits and needs abit of work.
Nearly forgot the most important question... seeing as its and F1 weekend is there a tv or do i have to bring my own?
Dragster done.
3 robots put back together just need testing tomorrow.
Wonder if there is any chance of picking up a Haynes manual for Stagefright next week?
Booked in at the Yeovil Podimore Travelodge now - arriving around teatime on Friday so may see people about. If help is still required around then to set up the arena etc we'll be happy to pop along.
I was gonna ask about the fees payment too, same question as Alan - if we were to post a cheque we'd probably end up arriving there before the cheque does
Got five full days left to build 3/4 of a robot, make up two battery packs, tie up all little odds and ends on Drumroll and give the brushless setup a rigourous test and charge everything - fun times!
5 days? pfffff iv built one in 7 hours XD
seriously, good luck :)
I'll get back to you asap about the payment - origionallty they didnt want any payments on the day, but with less than a week to go i dont think they'll mind.
I will also find out about other members of public being allowed in, although i would presume it wont be a problem.
grant i've got a bit of a query
due to work related stuff, it would be best if i only stayed on the saturday, but if my team did happen to get through to the finals on the sunday i could stay and i would have to work my way around it, but really it would be better if i wasn't needed on the sunday for me to leave saturday night. all this is because im starting my new full time job this comming monday and theres so much stuff thats gonna have to be sorted out and i won't have time to do it all before friday.
but what i was wondering was, we were probabily going to camp so if i sent off the cheque but then ended up leaving on the saturday would there be anyway to get a refund for the camping money i payed?
or could i just turn up next weekend with a tent and if we did hapen to get to the finals pay the fiver there. (i doubt we'll get to the finals really as theres so many other good teams lol but anything could happen)
correct me if i wrong but on the sunday its just the grand final of the tags isn't it? with no other tag team fights before that? so i hopefully wouldn't be missing out
@ Jamie and Will (team Shock)
i have sent you some messages could you reply asap
thanks alex
having some real problems setting 360s new speedos up :(
And my BEC just blew up and flew accross my bedroom, that was scarey..
Dont start making excuses now Dave!
does this Silverline will be providing food and drinks for everyone during the Sunday
mean that there will be tea and coffe making stuff?
thanks alex
Grant/James
what was the draw please. Please be kind as Stagefright packed up working again today.
Anyone planning on turning up with a spare RS connector that I could buy/borrow?
If you havnt already paid your entry fee's/camping then you can pay by cash/cheque on the day. I will have an up to date list of who has or hasnt paid, and payment will be at or before signing in.
Camping wise, it is ok if you decide on the day if your camping or not, although we do need to guage a rough number of people camping asap.
Clive, i'll drop you a PM.
Connector sorted and I'll be camping. Turning up with my cash on the day.
We are in the travelodge, arriving 1.00am ish so what would have been the chances of anybody being sober enough to help put up our tent in the dark and rain at that time of night?
Ditto Gary anybody got an rs connector that i can borrow please, Stagefright in a whiteboard for the provider.
i will be soba ;)
and the 3 bears
I'LL be sober enough to help you Clive :)
thanks David
Hey guys,
Just to let you know we will be doing the draw for the competition on Thursday once James has got back from holiday.
Any one who isnt partnered up yet, could you please drop me an e-mail or post on here if they know who they want to be partnered with?
If you want them to be paired up randomly, i can either do that whith the draw tommorow evening, or pull them out the hat at the event?
Let me know what you want :)
Also, has anyone not recieved the Update e-mail that went out over the weekend?
out of the hat at the event more exciting ;)
Carcinus and Relentless are now paired up, following a rather large-numbered (12 people?!) and random MSN conversation last night.
Looking forward to the draw :)
Just off to test Drumroll at the industrial estate - fingers crossed it's no longer harbouring self-destructive tendancies
XD that convo was 15 at one point XD
