It€™s a box wedge, but, ah€¦6 wheel drive and the dimensions are slightly small in the length department. Nonetheless it€™s very powerful, and the armour is 6mm titanium which isn€™t bad, but being a rammer it does not have any active weaponry.

Flank Attack€™s 21mph speed spurs it out first to greet the wedge of Storm Wars, while the Gemini twins split up to attack€¦Panicking Still! The great forks of Panicking slide immediately under the ground clearance of one of the twins and lifts it up with ease, but the other twin attacks the exposed front! Over goes Panicking, but don€™t forget that it€™s invertible, can run both ways up€¦which is more than can be send for the other twin, who is now inverted, and a flick of the flipper only sends it up onto its rear end! The other tries to help but Panicking tackles it, and raises it up butt-end like its other half! The Gemini twins are unable to self-right, and very disappointing this is as The Watcher moves in to make quick work of the two clusters!

Gemini is already out, but the 3rd seed is intent on sending another out quickly, it€™s clamped around Storm Wars€™ sides and now squeezes it! The wedge of Matty€™s rammer can€™t slide under that scoop, but now it€™s pushing Flank Attack against the wall, yet the claws are penetrating that titanium! And Panicking thinks this would be a good time to intervene and attack Storm Wars from the rear! The rear end is lifted and a wheel slot is captured! Panicking with its prize backs away and into the pit release button, opening that damned pit. Flank Attack, however, is still hooking onto Storm Wars; realizing what Martyn is going to do, Alex release Storm Wars and backs off as Martyn finds the damned hole, rolls over to it and ejects Storm Wars down into death!

Alex: Well first off, it€™s a lower design so we€™ll have a leverage advantage, and the axe is more powerful this time around so we€™ll be able to smash up a lot of robots now. The front€™s titanium so we can withstand a lot of hits.

The 180 degree wedge gives protection from flippers due to its lowness, however the rear has quite a high clearance. The axe is powerful and in combination with the flipper can be deadly. The armour isn€™t too bad and the poor pushing power can be made up for with that leverage. Rawr! :proud:

Black Panther is the quickest here, and it€™s away after Knyfe! Knyfe responds by turning away from it and attacking Dervish: Generation X, who€™s spinning up to speed already! Wedge Devolution€¦backs into the pit release button, and goes after€¦Shunt! House robot attacking already? How could you! It reaches the CPZ, slides under Shunt€™s side clearance, and ejects it from the warzone instantly! Poor old Shunt, not looking good for him, is it€¦Sir Killalot is right miffed by this act and moves in to give the McGregor machine some deliverance, but it€™s Wedge Devo who gives some deliverance€¦it slips under the lance of Sir Killalot and sends the 280kg house robot onto its side! As The Watcher nears, Wedge Devo attacks the side of the ref, wedging it, and then takes the referee over to the wall! FLIP! Within three fights, The Watcher finds himself twice flung over the fence, and is right fuming about it!
Now that Steven has had his fun, he rejoins the fight between the other bots, as Knyfe is flung over again by Dervish, the side Hardox panel dislodged greatly€¦not just flung over, but flung into the air! What power! Knyfe goes airborne, lands on his side, and the panel comes off! Wedge Devo moves in to punish while it€™s stopped, but Dervish is away; Wedge Devo instead turns to attack Knyfe, but finds Black Panther at its rear! WHACK! The red siren atop the Wedge is shattered! Wedge Devo is furious; no one€™s ever attacked that, ever! It turns around and moves around Black Panther€™s front€¦but Black Panther keeps the wedge pointing at him. Alex smirks; he isn€™t going to let Steven have any kind of revenge just yet.
Meanwhile, it€™s become a real tossing fest out there as Knye takes yet another blow from the spinning weapon of the highly impressive-looking Dervish: Generation X, and gets sent flying across the arena, losing another panel! It€™s become evident that Daniel not only wants to immobilize Knyfe, but tear him into itty bitty pieces! And at this rate, it€™s bound to happen sooner or later! :proud: Paul tries to get his machine to put up a fight, but it€™s not turning properly, the wheels must be jammed somewhat from all that hell of a clouting, and now Daniel and Dervish move in to kill!
CRASH!!!
It€™s a real CRASH this time, and Knyfe is mercilessly tossed like a rag doll across the arena, losing the front wedge in the process! Look at the power of that thing! It€™s not done much damage to the panels themselves, but ripping them clean off it can do indeed! And Knyfe definitely isn€™t moving anymore; surprisingly, Black Panther turns its attentions away from Wedge Devo, who can€™t seem to gain any purchase under that front, to attack Knyfe€™s tires! WHACK! Dead-on! The tire€™s split open, whatever traction it had if it could still move is diminished greatly! Wedge Devo follows its axed adversary, but is interrupted by a slam from Dervish!
CRASH!!!
Short attention span much? It€™s unfortunate as the 19th seed goes belly-up, but self-rights immediately; however Dervish is after it; maybe it did only want to K.O. Knyfe so it could attack Wedge Devo! :proud: Steve isn€™t fazed, but thinks it unwise to risk getting killed at this stage and has a go at Black Panther€™s exposed rear! Look out, Alex! Black Panther turns, and it€™s got the - no way! Wedge Devo has finally slipped under that front of Black Panther€™s, and now Wedge Devo carries it to the wall! Black Panther fires the axe, striking Wedge Devo€™s top armour, but doing nothing more than slightly denting it and jolting up onto the wedge more! And€¦ZING! Out goes Black Panther, out of the arena! It appears Dervish ISN€™T done with Knyfe, not yet! Paul yells at Daniel to stop, but noooooooo. :proud: Dan decides to conquer!

Knyfe is tossed again, and the internals show themselves at last, stripped bare of any protection! Wedge Devo returns, and the McGregor flipper slides under Knyfe easily, carries it to the wall, and flips it out too! Daniel looks annoyed for some reason, but Paul is relieved. Steven shrugs, but decided to complete the run, and goes after Sir Killalot, who is still stuck on his side - no wait, Daniel moves in to attack Sir Killalot! Oh my!
CRASH!!!
Sir Killalot is righted€¦but woo boy€¦the rear caging has been totally destroyed! And Wedge Devo drives him over to the pit, Killalot ain€™t moving either, and seconds later€¦BOOM! Out.

Full body drums of any kind are usually unreliable due to the construction of the robot and placement of the electronics. And actually, on a technicality due to the stats, Dervish would not actually be able to move (FBDs need some kind of stabiliser, usually a pole or something out in front of the robot, to push against so that the body of the FBD doesnt just spin around when it drives forward. Check out pictures of Barberous to see what I mean).
However this is a technicality and left up to Kody. Its a small thing and he already had one successful fight so its not as if I expect it to stop working or whatever. Kodys decision.
For tactics I would try and grapple onto a wheel, and really crush it to upset the balance of the robot. Maybe even grapple onto the body and bend the beater onto the body itself (which is feasible, despite the armor of the beater, considering it is 100cm long). Use my superior torque, speed, and maneuverability to out-drive him to victory. My armor is extremely well done, especially my wheelguards, so I doubt a KO would be feasible for him in this match.
At least, thats based on my understanding of Derish. I cant access the picture from school so I might be wrong :P only know what the stats say
Tactics
Flank Attacks claws dont look wide enough to get Dervish into its grip (and with no dimensions listed in the stats, it is hard to actually work out if he can or not). In this fight, I will aim for the claws on FA - hopefully doing the same as I did in Round 1 against Knyfe, not actually damaging the claws but dislodging them completely. If this fails, focus on the wheel guards (there is a little gap at the bottom where the wheel sticks out - if I can hit that gap with the beater, FA should be sent flying into the air and the wheel guard should become dislodged or a lot looser. A few more hits like that will hopefully remove the wheel guards completely and expose the precious wheeeeeels! of FA. If FA does look as if it will get a successful grip on me, spin the machine around on its axis, kinda like a thwackbot, and hope the beater gets a hit or FA thinks again of attacking.
BEWARE OF THE PIT, DO NOT GO NEAR THE PIT. STAY AWAY FROM THE PITTED AREA!

Looking at the picture I can now see that all of the electronics would have to be placed in the wheels, ala stinger. If I were to get one good grab on a wheel, it would immobilize him, crushing straight through the wheel.

Not much to say for Wedge Devo except woo!
That and aim for Panicking Stills sides, feed it to any hazard I can find and either flip it out or pit it. Ill stay away from those front forks too.

The 3rd seed needs to get in and stop the beater and right now that€™s exactly what he€™s doing, crashing into Dervish€™s weapon, buffeted into the air already but coming down and stopping the beater! Not liking this effective charge one bit, Daniel turns away from the claws, but Flank Attack is after it like a maddened hornet! However, Dervish proves the trickier to catch by spinning on the left wheel; Flank Attack crashes into it, the scoop nailing the wheel straight on, and Daniel seizes his chance. Dervish spins straight on the spot, smashing into Flank Attack€™s right side claw!
CRASH!!!
Flank Attack has a grip on Dervish no more! It€™s been sent over top of Dervish due to where it was hit, and now Dervish spins away, getting the beater going again! Flank Attack is of course invertible, and hurriedly gets back in on the attack, a little too late considering Dervish€™s beater has already topped 1000RPM! Daniel presses the advantage by moving in on the 3rd seed, however Flank Attack has a trick of its own! It turns towards the right wheel, then swings around bringing the left side claw into the side of the wheel, turning Dervish aside! Flank Attack now goes after the wheel, only for Dervish to back up suddenly and send Flank Attack flying by him! The TAN-alike is at a disadvantage and now Dervish moves in! It€™s too late to spin around, Alex!
CRASH!!!
All the kJ swinging through that beater weapon of Dervish has just been violently transferred into almost the entire side of the claw of Flank Attack, and Alex€™s bot has been sent for a trip! A trip across the arena, that is! It€™s flung into the air and does a complete 360 before landing back onto the arena floor, rather dazed and befuddled by this attack; however, it€™s only going to get worse, because that weapon of Dervish€™s has spun right back up in the time it has taken Flank Attack to land back on the ground and turn to face Daniel€™s machine! The MacWilliams machine is in trouble now; its armour and claws are holding up, but every time it attacks, it gets counter-attacked! How long can it put up with this abuse? Alex doesn€™t know, but he€™s back at trying to have a go at the wheel, but Dervish turns to meet the claw - and Flank Attack turns to attack the other wheel! Surprised, but undeterred, Daniel spins his machine around, and the beater hits one of the claws of Flank Attack - the opposite way!
CRASH!!!
And it€™s Dervish who gets sent into the air this time! €¦and it€™s hit the same claw it hit just a little while ago, as Flank Attack is bounced off the ground a bit, but still mobile, in fact quite mobile as it finally is able to ram Dervish against the wall, stopping the beater, and€¦and€¦the claw has snuck around the wheel hub€¦and€¦and€¦itâ‚ ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s being held in place. Alex is fiddling with the controls; something appears to be wrong with the 3rd seed€™s weaponry! Sure, Dervish is in a disadvantage, but Flank Attack€™s claws are not closing in! Could it be that the battering received has taken its toll on those awesome pincers? Daniel however still knows he€™s at a disadvantage, and tries to get Dervish off the wall, trying to spin backwards, but Flank Attack will not release!
And you know what that means€¦it means The Watcher gets to boast his marvelous refereeing powers. :proud: The copbot makes a €˜hello€™ path straight into the rear of Flank Attack, but only a slight bump is given. A slight bump, however, is all it takes for Alex to get the message, and both the ref an the 3rd seed back off allowing Dervish to finally make a break for it! But Flank Attack isn€™t done just yet; it€™s back across the arena, tackling the exact spot Dervish was headed, and rams the wheel, as Dervish struggles to get the beater going. WHAM! Flank Attack mashes its opponent into the arena wall with great force, and Dervish is pinned again, this time by the side of the wheel! And again it€™s held there, Alex refusing to let him get out, but the beater is spinning this time and Daniel knows he can bring that awesome drumming fury back into play!
Eventually, The Watcher is called in a second time, and not wanting to risk getting smashed up by the beater, bumps Flank Attack again. Flank Attack backs off, and now Dervish can finally turn to face the 3rd seed, and show off its force! The said force is obviously unnerving Alex, and Flank Attack decides to barge in again, after that wheel. But the game plan is now fully predictable, and Dervish rams straight at Flank Attack before it can even turn; the results won€™t be pretty!
CRASH!!!
No they are not, I can assure you! Look at that, Flank Attack spirals into the air, crashing down onto its back, suspended a little due to the claw being bent right up! If Alex had any doubts about his weaponry being dysfunctional, he sure as hell won€™t have any now, and Flank Attack had better do something to get back into this fight; it€™s being completely controlled now by the Stickler team! Dear oh dear€¦Dervish€™s beater, whoo€¦that is scary, and again it€™s spinning, and looking menacing, and Flank Attack comes straight at the beater this time, regarding nothing!
CRASH!!!
BAM! Another graceful hit courtesy of that beater, and another ungraceful landing courtesy of Flank Attack! This must feel what it€™s like to get into a game of drunken fisticuffs, eh Flank Attack? :proud: Flank Attack€™s fisti - er, claws, really aren€™t doing much swinging, the titanium buckled, bent, and about to take another beating as Dervish moves in! Flank Attack turns tail and bolts for the pit release, easily getting there first - BZZT! OH! Dervish has been hit by the - AHH! What have you done to our arena saws?! You€¦you€™ve shattered the€¦the sawblade! What madness is this€¦Watcher, please clear this up, on the double! Flank Attack comes racing in again, and there! Dervish failed to spin up again after hitting the arena saws, and now Flank Attack has him, the beater stopped! Flank Attack pushes, Dervish is in line with the pit! Can he do it?! €¦NO! Dervish spun around, and Flank Attack nearly goes in himself!
Dervish spins up, look how quickly that beater gets to speed! It€™s not taking any chances, straight away from the pit, swerving around the saws so as not to hit them, whoo, close call. Flank Attack is after him again, but I€™m not sure how much longer he can take this abuse. The drive is okay, but the weaponry has just been mangled, though thankfully still in one piece€¦but for how much longer - here comes Dervish on the attack yet again! And Flank Attack is meeting him head on!
CRASH!!!
Flank Attack is again overturned - look at that damage! That claw is thick, but it€™s been bent straight up! It must be hindering the drive by now€¦Dervish moves in yet again - BANG! Not a big CRASH, but it€™s sent Flank Attack, over€¦and finally Flank Attack is showing signs of fatigue, very sluggish now, not turning well, ah€¦makes you feel sorry for it. Wait€¦no you don€™t! This is a robot fight, nobody feels sorry! We want destruction! We want your robot€™s fluids to spill! And Flank Attack circles the pit€¦oh dear, if Dervish were to fall into the pit at this stage, how humiliating would that be€¦but Dervish is not taking the bait, it€™s waiting for Flank Attack to come out from behind the pit€¦the seconds are ticking down€¦

Right, for the house robots we have Taki III, with the lifting wedge and rear cutter, and Shunt, with the bulldozer blade and diamond-edged axe.

ACTIVATE!
Wedge Devolution wants to prove its seeding and it€™s doing that right now, sliding under the forks of Panicking Still immediately, and tossing it over! Now that won€™t effect Panicking directly, as it€™s invertible, but repeatedly flips could kill it through shock damage, but don€™t forget, Wedge Devo has limited CO2. Wedge Devo again, on the attack, easily under the forks, carrying into Shunt€™s CPZ! Up goes the flipper, and Panicking sent flying straight in there behind Shunt! Shunt turns, and axes the top armourment, but doing very little in terms of external damage, and off goes Wedge Devo to hit the pit release button - oof. Down it goes, that pit. Panicking is still in there, being axed by Shunt but holding up well€¦until Wedge Devo returns for another bout! €¦ah, but now the forks of Panicking have penetrated that flipper of Wedge Devolution€™s! Only the flipper, though, and Steve backs away. Martyn isn€™t a fool though and does not lift the forks up, as Shunt gives him another axing before letting Martyn€™s machine go.
And go Panicking does indeed! Straight into Wedge Devo, and again surprisingly sliding underneath the flipper! Now it lifts€¦but Wedge Devo pushes back€¦erm, why? You€™re only driving your opponent€™s forks into your own - AHH! What was that? Something inside of Wedge Devolution has just burst! I think€¦it was the pneumatic system! And that means€¦that Wedge Devo is without a flipper! Look, it€™s venting CO2 all around the arena, oh dear oh dear, but Panicking does not have the power to push Wedge Devo away, its front wheels have been lifted off the ground, and it gets slammed against the arena wall! Right back in front of Shunt, who axes the top of Panicking again!
Wedge Devo backs away, flipper forced back down as Panicking comes back on the attack€¦WHAM! Aha! Wedge Devo still gets under its opponent! And, uh, let€™s turn around, shall we? Wedge Devo has the Panic Attack-alike securely onto its wedge, and now bolts for the gaping hole! Panicking is trying to fight the hold, but no chance, Martyn, Wedge Devo is much too quick, and a second later, Panicking finds itself lying flat on its back in the bottom of the pit!

Panicking Still lives up to its name! Better get a decent psychiatrist for this lost cause, Martyn. :proud:

Wedge Devolution (19) & Dervish: Generation X won their battle when, after a brutal bashing by Dervish, Wedge Devolution flipped Knyfe OOTA after doing the same to Black Panther!

Dervish: Generation X damaged Flank Attack: DT well enough to steamroller it in the judges€™ decision.
Wedge Devolution (19), despite having its pneumatics blown, managed to pit Panicking Still fairly quickly.

Box-rush the bugger right away to stop that spinning drum, smack it into a wall and flip for dear life.
Wooty fights once again, Mr Kody, I honestly thought Dervish was going to lose that one. Alex has a very good machine. :)
Get the beater up to speed and hit Wedge as much as I can. If Steve tries to flip, attempt to hit the machine whilst the flipper is open (probably not going to happen, but meh :) . Stay clear of the pit and the arena walls, staying as close to the arena centre as possible.
So, when are we going to see the next battle?

Kody: Well on one end, we€™ve got a very vicious spinning weapon that doesn€™t let up, and it€™s hard to attack because it spins up so fast. On the other end we have a very well-balanced flipping robot; it€™s got the power and speed needed to combat something like this.
JP: I€™m not too sure, but I€™m going to go for the flipper again here. I daresay it has enough flippability factor to get Dervish out of the arena.
Kody: I personally think that Dervish will rip the flipper off and toss Wedge over, rendering it immobile.

A thunderous charge from Wedge Devolution as it canters across the arena straight at Dervish: Generation X, who seems unable to get away in time and the wedge hits the beater straight on!
CRASH!
Though, it wasn€™t able to completely stop the spin-up of the beater, and gets sent back a bit. Steve€™s got his game plan going though as his flipping robot comes after Dervish again, this time able to stop the beater before it gets up to full speed! Ohhhh€¦moving towards the arena wall, very quickly! Oho! I think not! The position of the beater has nullified the flippability of Wedge Devo, the flipper has only spun up the beater slightly (but stopped it again anyway), and not at all brought Dervish€™s tires off the ground€¦and Wedge Devo backs away to come in€¦but Dervish has escaped! And now the beater€™s looking very menacing already!
Wedge Devo instead goes for the pit release button, Steve doubtful that he can achieve an OOTA after seeing what just happened, and BAM goes the wedgebot€™s rear end into the button, releasing the pit, as Dervish€¦ahh€¦moving a little slowly, actually - no, they€™re okay. Maybe not for long, as Wedge Devo rams his flipper into Dervish again!
CRASH!!!
And it€™s a full hit this time! Wedge Devo bashed away violently, slightly dented, and distanced very much from Dervish, who€™s beater does its job again and about to once more, as it spins to maximum fierceness! Not about to be put-off by a tournament rookie, Wedge Devo braves the storm again as Dervish makes its way over and we get another head-on collision!
CRASH!!!
Whoa, Dervish felt that itself, as it€™s flung back itself! Wedge Devo€™s not looking too bad actually, slight dents on the flipper€¦but what damage is being caused inside? It€™s also been flung several feet away and has to come in again as Dervish makes its way away from the pit, ooh€¦get away€¦
CRASH!
Not a big one, this time, and now the beater has stopped! A bash away, but slightly, and Wedge Devo is back in Dervish€™s beater! It pushes the axlebot across the arena, into Cassius Chrome€™s CPZ! Ah, not the brightest of house robots, though, Cassius Chrome. It€™s pinned Dervish in there, but, ah€¦blimey, those fists don€™t really pack a €˜punch€™ do they? :proud: Triple Big Mac, however, is about to throw some punches, as it makes its way from its CPZ, and Wedge Devo is on Cassius Chrome€™s other side, trying to prevent Dervish from making a sortie! Ah€¦hee hee hee€¦ah, Cassius Chrome, haha, look at this. Those fists, are so weak€¦oh go on, punch the beater. Boing. :proud: Ahh€¦those hammers are coming though! Get away! Wedge Devolution underneath Cassius Chrome! And taking him out of the CPZ! And flipping him, so the flipper has managed to stay in one piece despite those blows from Dervish! And Triple Big Mac€¦doesn€™t care! It€™s now in the CPZ that Dervish has failed to escape! This can€™t be good!

AND IT ISN€™T! The wheel has been slammed into, side on, and almost smacked right off! It was pressed INTO the beater so I€™m guessing that€™s why it€™s still on, but in return the beater has stopped moving, and so has Dervish! It is completely immobile, and that was good control of Wedge Devolution taking it into there, trapping it, and, ultimately, allowing the house robot to kill it for him! The Watcher comes in, it€™s all over for Dervish now, unless something happens€¦

Baldur Gamma (21) vs. * 69 vs. Noo Monsoon vs. Return of Feedback - Just zoom around the arena, ramming into random machines and slamming them into the arena walls, the CPZs or any other hazards that are available. If anyone wants to team up, go for it. If not, then just any macine that looks like it is in danger, or is in the weakest position.

From Shrewsbury in Shropshire, seeded number 5, Axeon 3.0!
Ended the reign of the 1st champion Salamander III in the semi-finals last time around.
Melissa: Ah, Axeon, what€™s going on about it?
Andy: Well for this season we have a much more powerful axe that can provide us with about 900kg of force, that should be good.
Melissa: Ooh€¦and what are your tactics going to be?
Andy: Hit, hit, hit some more.
Melissa: One more thing€¦where did Axeon 2.0 go?

No idea€¦ah the armourment is a 6mm titanium monocoque, the ground clearance around the sides and rear isn€™t too too bad and S28-400 MagMotors supply the 9hp, but it€™s fairly compact; the 5th seed very well could get the cut here.
C&B1: Hammered the hell out of Jim Struts in Round 1, and pitted Knightrous Wedge next round, but 5th seeds Aquarius defeated them in the Heat Final.
C&B2: Watched Wedge Devolution flip Axe to Fall over the fence Round 1, then took out Hellbrand in Round 2, and gave Wedge Devolution the chop in the Heat Final. It then knocked the crown off of Salamander IIIs...disc, but then fell to Infusion in Round 5.

A full pressure flipper, 750 watt electric motors and 2 wheel drive spell out the main story, and it has a strong chassis€¦but weak armour. Plus it has a very high ground clearance at the back, meaning Gravity€™s own hopes can turn over on him. :proud:

Samuel: It€™s got a drum at the front which will flip other robots over and damage them, I hope.
Melissa: This is your first war, are you going to cause to some mayhem?

Box-shaped with a 19kg spinning drum this could very well make some noise. Lynch-powered and Hardox armoured means it€™s a tank when pushing and a beast to push, however, the rather low 3.5mm ground clearance might hinder its 15mph top speed.

Shane: Ram stuff, flip stuff, it€™s all good. We have decent grip with our caterpillar tracks so we can ram the other robots onto the wedge and push them.

Shane: And a rack-and-pinion front-hinged flipper which should turn robots over pretty quick.
Melissa: Right. You€™re not put off by Hell€™s Teeth€™s loss earlier?
Shane: Oh no not at all. This version of Trax is updated so we€™ll definitely do some damage out there.

2 C40-300 MagMotors power the tracks here, the flipper and axe are interchangeable (flipper set-up here though) and the armour is 2cm of high density polyethylene€¦the tracks are still slightly exposed though, and the ground clearance around the back, ahh€¦care for a parachute, Shane? :proud:

Bash patrols one of the CPZs€¦and Renegade patrols another. Still slightly unfamilar of an area to the Sergeant, but he€™ll feel right at home soon enough. :proud:

The seed and drummer vs. the two flippers! That is the impression I€™m getting in the commentary booth as Axeon 3.0 and Paralyzation 2 head for Gravity, while Trax moves in alongside Gravity to attack Axeon! Paralyzation moves in around Gravity, who turns to face it instead. Samuel€™s plans aren€™t working, but in comes Axeon, dodging around Trax, to have to go at Gravity€™s side! WHACK! The axe slams down and smashes the flipper of Gravity, however no damage is caused yet. This allows Trax to slip under Axeon€™s side, wedge it, and toss it over! Gravity gets the signal and moves away from Paralyzation to attack the 5th seed! The said seed rights itself with the axe, but it barely gets to when Gravity barrels into its rear and slides under it, and lets loose a gigantic flip, sending Axeon high across the arena! However, this perfect distraction has left Samuel with an awesome opportunity and he takes it, slamming the spinning drum into Gravity€™s rear end!
CRASH!
Gravity is tossed up, slightly receiving its own dosage of flippage, as it bows onto its flipper, but rights itself immediately and turns to face Paralyzation as Trax heads off in Axeon€™s direction. Samuel tries to get his robot around the back of Gravity, but the manoeuvrability of Gravity is just too great and instead it gets to Paralyzation€™s own side! The 3.5mm ground clearance, however low that may be, is slipped under and Gravity fires the flipper! The result is a joyride for the drummed robot as it€™s launched about halfway across the arena and comes down with a rather noisy CLANG. Axeon sees a potential danger and moves over towards Gravity to help out his teammate but as Axeon smacks into Gravitys side and brings down the axe, Trax plows in and slips under Axeons rear. The rack and pinion flipper fires, sending Axeon onto its back. Gravity backs off as Paralyzation has a go at Trax, and as Axeon self-rights, Gravity slips under and takes it to the arena wall! The axe fires, but much too late as its already airborne, and moments later the 5th seed lies pathetically on the other side of the fence!
CRASH!
But Trax isnt doing so well either, as Paralyzation hammers into the machine, tossing it over, and denting the side slightly. The flipper fires again, but Paralyzation plows straight in, and just tossing him straight back onto its back, and now Traxs flipper is stuck! Wide open as it was flipped back over! Gravity suddenly plows in, unable to watch its teammate take the abuse, or maybe it just wants Samuel gone, and breaches Paralyzations rear end. Thus, the drum hits the floor and Paralyzation skids across from it, right as Gravity lets loose a giant flip, almost tossing itself over in its haste but landing on its tires, and Paralyzation bumps into Trax, just nudging Trax over onto its side, and ultimately back onto its wheels. The flipper however seems to be stuck in a raised position, so something is certainly wrong. Gravity isnt letting up as circles around Paralyzation like a hungry shark. Unfortunately, the shark gets too close and Paralyzations drum catches it!
CRASH!
And now Gravity is flipped over again, the side taken some horrible damage as Gravity self-rights, but in comes Trax, smacking into Paralyzation, and while not able to flip it, is able to push it, and the flipper finally lowers as Paralyzation falls onto the wedge, but no cigar, it aint firin, matey. And Paralyzation drives off, only to meet Gravitys flipper and get tossed into the air like a graduation hat! The said Gravity drives forward, hoping to flip Paralyzation immediately after it lands, but Paraylzation lands on one of its edges, bouncing away as Gravity cases after it. Samuel frantically drives away, and Trax is there to wedge him...but thats not the case! The drum hits the wedge and tips Trax over onto its back! Paralyzation moves away as Gravity attacks, but wedges Trax instead and tosses it...unfortunately, Trax does a 360 and lands on its back again! Without a working flipper, Trax is toast! And Paralyzation rushes in to attack the desperate Gravity machine!
CRASH!
And does so! Gravity is tossed straight over again, and barely is able to self-right before the drum plows in again, tossing Gravity again over! Samuel doesnt let up with the attacks, but WJ waits for the drum to knock him over again, and...
CRASH!
A heavy blow to say the least! The polycarbonate is bent in severely, and Gravitys mobility might be hindered...no, not yet, but right now it looks like Gravitys only hopes now of moving on are to leave Trax where it is and survive, and finally WJ decides to abandon the team-up and runs across the arena, opening the pit release button. The Watcher, meanwhile, has come forth to count out a sturdy, yet defeated Trax machine.

Renegade is the first house robot to come forth, and grapples hold of Trax, the axe hacking endlessly, as hes lifted up and brought onto the floor flipper, Sgt. Bash having a look as well as Trax gets placed on it...ah...FLIP! And Trax is right side up and mobile again, but the house robots want him down that pit and Renegade does the honours; Trax turns to try and avoid it, but the newbie housie barrels into him and plunges him straight down the pit.

The 5th seed gets the axe, and Traxs progress tracked to a standstill! :proud:

Alex: Nothing much, just ram stuff. Got quite a bit of armour and some decent drive so we should be okay.

Alex: The only thing that really worries me is opponents good driving, haha.

Alex: If its not broken, dont fix it. Right, Aaron? If youre watching, that is.

Made to be the most undamageable robot, the 21st seed has a 5cm armourment in its lifting scoop, and more Hardox armour elsewhere. Can push, can shove, but it has a great ground clearance around the sides and rear leaving it prone to a good flipping. Baldur Delta, anyone? :proud:

C&B2: Sent out NSBFR-X in Round 1, then after a titanic struggle threw Mass Disctruction Ultimate 4 over the arena wall in Round 2, before the Heat Final saw him bow down to Cyclone Force 2.5.

A five-pointed star shape...in a full-body-spinner. Its scary powerful as well, powered by a Lynch motor (LEM200) on 60v, and it has Hardox armour as well...and LEM130 drive! Possibly overweight? That doesnt appear to be the weakness, which reads nights with no stars. I begin to see a cloudy sky for you...

C&B2: (as Star 69) Helped Cacodemon take out 11th seeds Wedga Revo 2.0, but Tengu VII destroyed it in Round 2.

1.5cm of HDPE covers this 6WD beast, the LEM200s are run at 60v, and so Captain Dan tells us it can produce over a hundred horsepower! Ha ha! Ill believe that when I see it, if you dont mind! It does, however, have a great number of spikes to bludgeon opponents; it can be flipped easily though.

This fast brick has two set-ups, the one being used today is the wedge set-up. Nice titanium and Hardox armouring, top speed of 18mph. It does, however, have a wide ground clearance which flippers and lifters could take advantage of...the feedback given: I see one lifter in this fight. :proud:

Teams...Alex MacWilliams and Daniel Stickler in Booth 1, and Martyn Forsyth and Alex Holt in Booth 2. House robots are Sir Killalot with the claw and lance, beefy 280kg of trampling knight, and alongside him, we have the damaging claws and spike of Exa-Gore-Ic Evo.

ACTIVATE!
And a quick start is given! Baldur Gamma immediately goes for the pit release button, while Return of Feedback and Noo Monsoon attack *69. Martyn successfully manages to knock off one of Noo Monsoons spikes, but Return of Feedback wedges it as the star stops spinning and takes him towards the wall. Oof. Pegged in there, as Noo Monsoon heads for Baldur Gamma. Baldur Gamma does not relent but proudly moves in to meet him head-on! Baldur is immediately forced back as they collide, but the lifter comes to save him as Noo Monsoon gets lifted into the air. Return of Feedback drives backwards and tackles Baldur, causing him to drop Noo Monsoon, and backslams Baldur into the arena wall itself. *69 spins up its shell as Noo Monsoon attacks Baldurs rear end while Feedback holds it there, spearing it, but unfortunately releasing Baldur from the grip of Feedback. The 21st seed wheels around and has a go at Feedback now, as both Alexs meet in a frontal collision. Holt is the more successful as MacWilliams sees his machine go belly up thanks to the scoop, but Noo Monsoon comes to the rescue by slamming Baldurs side with the spikes, and charging him straight into Sir Killalots CPZ, into the belly of the knight of the realm! Return of Feedback, however, decides to renew its attack on *69, who now travels towards the inverted rammer. This doesnt look good...
CRASH!!!
Oh dear, it definitely isnt! Martyn smiles as the inverted wedge of Feedback is nearly torn straight off the hinge, but still hanging on! That is great power courtesy of that spinning...star, and its getting back up to speed! Feedback would have charged back in, but an escaping Baldur Gamma thwarts the effort by charging into the side of Feedback and throwing it over with the scoop! Noo Monsoon however is in hot pursuit, and spears the rear end of Baldur, driving it into the wall again. Feedback gets away quickly, Sir Killalot shifting irritably, and makes another effort towards *69, who does not seem to have been damaged itself by that impact! Without regards to its wedge, it plunges into the shooting star!
CRASH!!!
And regrets it instantly! The wedge now IS off and clattered in Sir Killalots CPZ, who seems to be enheartened by this, picking up the wedge and spinning round with it. Feedback however isnt dead by a longshot, and powers into *69 while its stopped, shoving it across the arena and into the arena wall again. Noo Monsoon meanwhile has had to tables turned on him, as Baldur has recovered, hardly even receiving much damage from those spikes thanks to the Hardox armouring, and now getting to Noo Monsoons side, lifts it up and over, and its right near the pit! Daniel is horrified and tries to abuse the forward and reverse controls, but the wheels are already over the pit and next second later, Noo Monsoon has met the bottom of the pit, smoke obscuring its now sad-looking form.
Impressed with itself, the 21st seed now has another go at Feedback, and getting under the rear throws MacWilliams machine on top of *69, who moves across the arena. BZZT! The arena saws come into play and sparks litter the underside of *69 as it is popped up, Feedback also, as the 21st seed begins to shove both of them towards the pit. *69 fights back, but the scoop denies any chance of escape and moments later *69 is in the pit as well...on top of Feedback, who fell off of *69 and into the pit first! Martyn breathes a sigh of relief, as Holt smirks and prepares for the next round.
CEASE!
The Monsoons over, time to come home, Danny! At least the Feedback wasnt recurring for you. :proud:
