Eliminator 16/32:
E Clawdius Unum v Killobite 5.0
Formerly Clawdius Decimus Murderous, Stevens powerful crushing machine finished 3rd in The Easter Bunny Tribute Championships 2008. Now its back, and up against a fellow crusher in the first round!
Killobite 5.0 is another Razer-esque machine, but this design also incorporates some front lifting forks, like we saw on the Heat C winner Nidhogg.
Booth 1: Steven McGregor
Booth 2: Kody Kunz
5,4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
Both bots get off to a flying start, Killobite trying to get around the sides of Clawdius while Steven tries to make an advantage of Kodys weak armouring. The first vapourboteer to get in an onslaught is Steven, powering Clawdius into the side of Killobite 5.0 and attempting to crush into the chassis! But Kody pulls around and manages to get his forks under Clawdius side skirt! Kody lifts Steven up and over, then drives underneath and clamps down on top with his powerful claw, stopping Clawdius getting his srimech into play! The crusher makes a shallow indent in the armour, and Kody takes Steven into the pit release tyre! This should be a walk in the park for Killobite now- it has the struggling Clawdius in its arms and the srimech is doing nothing, but just as they approach the pit Steven falls off the crusher! He quickly self-rights, but Kody was ready and flips him over again before shoving him into the chasm!
ITS OVER ALREADY!
Killobite 5.0 wins the battle of the crushers and goes onto the heat semi-finals!
Coming Next: The final featherweight heat!
Micro-Gore v Katnip
(Message edited by Robot_Warrior on April 14, 2008)
Thats lucky, I was typing the battle and didnt see that post until afterwards!
The Heat Semi-Final Draws will be:
Pure Evil: ROTD v ISDSFA
The Quaestor v Killobite 5.0
That was for Super Gore Evo, and Aftershock. :proud: Go Killobite!
Pure Evil: Revenge of the Disc v ISDSFA
Pure Evil out.
The Quaestor v Killobite 5.0
While its true that I have weak armouring, do remember that the red parts on the CAD is my CHASSIS, which is extremely tough. Its like an exoskeleton. Im not complaining about the battle above as, had Clawdius got the claw into play, he would have got around the chassis and into the armour. The Quaestor here can also get the armour, but not through it, as his axe arm will get in the way by hitting the chassis. :proud:
Tactics? Four words: grab, crush, lift, pit.
Micro-Gore vs. Katnip
ALL RIGHT, MY FIRST FEATHERWEIGHT FIGHT! Problem is...Ive never heard of a bot called Katnip. If anybody can give me some info...thatd be nice. Then I can post tactics.
Thats all. :proud:
THE QUAESTOR vs. Killobite 5.0
Try an pull a Killertron here - get a grip on Killobites exoskeleton with the axe and try and drag it towards the pit. If he comes in towards me, lower the bodyshell completely and sit there as he tries to get under.
Good luck Kody :)
I think Katnips on the Roaming Robots site - apparently it was the first real featherweight built in the UK, whic Im sure Vector Of Armageddon and Cunning Plan would dispute.
If he comes in towards me, lower the bodyshell completely and sit there as he tries to get under.
In that case, when he does that, shove it towards the wall anyway and get the claw in; the claw reaches out further than the forks do. :proud:
Thanks Joey, and good luck.
Now, tactics...
Micro-Gore vs. Katnip
Haha, its basically Micro-Gore with horizontal jaws instead of vertical ones. In that case I have the advantage. :proud: Grab the main body and launch it into the pit.
(Message edited by kodster on April 14, 2008)
Oh balls...in which case, wear a legionary costume and shout vaguely Latin threats across the booth if he begins getting the claw in :proud: Seriously, if that happens drive away, and good luck pushing something with a silicone rubber coated base.
Hey, a game of tactical tennis. :proud:
Lets see...silicone rubber coated base, eh? Thatll prevent you from moving at all, so Ill basically just bump into you at that and sink the claw in then, and then push you when you start to move.
But seriously, I dont care if I win or lose this one: it should be a good match. :)
Uh...if that happens...i have a counterplan...wave the axe about. If I do that enough, the god of robotics might detect my plight, and reward me for my devotion to tracks by smiting Killobite with a touch of his hands.
...it was worth a try, wasnt it? :proud: Youre right, it will be a good match, if slightly crazy...
Tactics are to pit whats left of Pure Evil after it explodes from its own overpowered weapon. Seriously, its waaaay overpowered:lame:
Special Event- Featherweight Heat 4/4:
Micro-Gore v Katnip
Micro-Gore is designed and entered by Kody Kunz, who has already proved his worth in the other weights by trashing Killoteeny with Solstice 2.0. This the robots first fight, and Kodys first featherweight fight!
Katnip is built by Team Kat and entered here by Daniel Stickler. Its much like its opponent here, but horizontal instead of vertical.
Booth 1: Kody Kunz
Booth 2: Daniel Stickler
5,4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
Micro-Gore comes on the attack first, getting underneath Daniel and ramming him into the angle grinder! As Kody presses down (and up) on Katnips armour, sparks fly from one of the rear wheels! But Katnip has more pressing problems, as Kody crushes the armour and begins to pull Daniel towards the pit release tyre!
The pit goes down and Kody approaches it, holding the struggling bot in its claw! Daniel uses his own claws, but to no avail as Kody holds Katnip so that its wheels are suspended in mid-air, over the pit of oblivion!
PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT
The crowd want it, Kody wants it, WE want it, the only person who doesnt want it is Daniel Stickler at the controls!
A PUFF OF SMOKE BRINGS THE MATCH TO AN END!
Kody releases Katnip and goes on to the featherweight semi-finals!
Coming Next:
Pure Evil: ROTD v ISDSFA
YEAH! w00t! And to think I wanted to build Micro-Gore...I still do, and I still could, but my current project comes first. :proud:
Heat Semi-Final 7/16:
Pure Evil: ROTD v ISDSFA
Pure Evil defeated hot favourite Another Night at the Bar in its eliminator, can Daniel do the same to Frank here?
ISDSFA flipped and immobilised 259 in the first round, now Frank wants a place in what could be his first heat final of the series.
Booth 1: Daniel Stickler
Booth 2: Frank Goacher
5,4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
Both bots spin up their weapons and head into the arena, Frank looks ponderous for a moment then tries to get around and flip Pure Evil! He only gets the edge of his scoop under though, and Daniel is merely lifted into the air before he comes crashing down. Daniel then slides his own flipper under ISDSFA and turns it over! But Frank is quick to self-right and comes back on the attack, this time succeeding in tipping Pure Evil onto its side! Daniel fires the flipper and it falls onto its back, where Frank pushes it into the angle grinder! He reverses for a moment and Daniel tries to self-right, but ISDSFA comes in and presses down with the scoop, keeping Daniel on his back and at the mercy of the disc! Frank then gets underneath Pure Evil and lifts it to jam it up against the wall! Daniel worries as Pure Evil wobbles precariously on the rails before crashing out of the contest!
THE CAMERA TRACKS MUST BE IN PAIN!
ISDSFA flips Pure Evil: ROTD OOTA and proceeds to the heat final, meanwhile...
Heat Semi-Final 8/16:
The Quaestor v Killobite 5.0
The Quaestor is a powerful axe robot that dealt with Coinst in its eliminator. Can Joey prevail over Killobite here?
Killobite is a claw and forks design, a winning formula as proved by Nidhogg, the winner of Heat C.
Booth 1: Joey McConnell
Booth 2: Kody Kunz
5,4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
The Quaestor seems rather wary at the beginning of this match, while Kody looks to be in an aggressive mood and comes storming across the arena to attack! The Quaestor tries to get around the side of Killobite 5.0, but Kody turns and gets his forks under, lifting Joey into the air! He then gets the crusher in on top and carries The Quaestor over to the pit release tyre! The siren wails loudly, like a banshee awaiting a corpse! And thats exactly what Kody has in mind... He cradles The Quaestor- which shouts threats in latin- and carries it over to the pit of oblivion! Hes on the edge, and going down!
PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT PIT
Kody lowers it down, and the match is over!
THE CROWD ROARS!
Killobite goes on to meet ISDSFA in the heat final!
Coming Next: The last middleweight heat!
Steel Sandwich v Doorstop
(Message edited by Robot_Warrior on April 16, 2008)
*drowns his sorrows in ye olde roman wine* ...good fightsh, Kody and Liam. :proud:
Middleweight Heat 4/4:
Steel Sandwich v Doorstop
Steel Sandwich is powerful for a middleweight, it can shove most of its contenders around and hopefully do some damage.
Doorstop is another middleweight taken from a clusterbot seen earlier in the tournament- Its one half of Doorstops, which was beaten in the semi-finals of Heat C by Nidhogg, which went on to take the heat.
Booth 1: Paul Cuomo
Booth 2: Frank Goacher
5,4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
Both bots get an aggressive start, with Doorstop making the best move turning around to the side and pushing Steel Sandwich into the angle grinder! It seems that no real damage has been caused, and Steel Sandwich now pushes Doorstop onto the floor flipper, which activates for the first time in Robot SMASH!! !
CRASH!
Doorstop flies through the air and bounces along the arena floor, almost going OOTA but landing propped up on the opposite wall! It cant move, so Steel Sandwich presses the pit release tyre and pushes Doorstop down! Paul tries to push it from the side, but Frank is too fast and gets in first to push Paul towards the pit!
The crowd seem to want this badly, and Frank gives it to them!
STEEL SANDWICH IS IN THE PIT!
Doorstop goes through to the middleweight semi-finals!
The other-weight semi-final draws have been done!
Featherweights:
Skink v Pillow Torque
T.R.E.D.T.H.A.L v Micro-Gore
Middleweights:
Life v Doorstop
T-Minus v Solstice 2.0
Coming Next: The Heat D Final
ISDSFA v Killobite 5.0
(Message edited by Robot_Warrior on April 16, 2008)
Mondo tactics and predictions time! Dont post fights too early Liam! :proud:
Featherweight Semi-Finals
Skink vs. Pillow Torque
Skink, I think, can prevail here.
T.R.E.D.T.H.A.L. vs. Micro-Gore
Use the lower claw to slip underneath the skirts and grip on, high-centering him so he cant move or get any traction, then get him into the pit! Due to the axlebot shape hell have a hard time pushing me around. :proud:
Middleweight Semi-finals
Life vs. Doorstop
Life FTW :proud:
T-Minus vs. Solstice 2.0
Haha, how awesome. The flipper arm will be completely blocked by Solstices middle bulge, so it wont be a severe flip and Solstice can recover easily. Basically target the flipping arm itself and try to rip it off, then main on the rest of the robot.
Heat D Final
ISDSFA vs. Killobite 5.0
Go straight for the front with the forks driven into the ground (with just enough pressure to slide under the scoop but not so much that I cant move): scoop or disc, ISDSFAs not going to do that much to my chassis. Crunch into the scoop, lift it off the ground, and pit the damn thing. Right myself if I get flipped, the usual.
Best of luck Frank.
TACTICS:
LIFE vs. Door Stop
Ill go for the old Foxtrot Omicron Oven Tails Adrianmole approach :P
Micro Gore sounds like a smaller Jawbreaker from its stats. Its a slow bugger too at only 7mph, so TREDTHAL will aim to get around the back (the non-pointy part) and try to clamp it with the axe. If I can get a good grip, dump it in the pit. If I cant, dump it in the pit.
Heat D Final
ISDSFA v Killobite 5.0
Lets flashback and see how these two got this far...
1) ISDSFA flipped 259 in the eliminator round for a quick and easy win.
2) Killobite had a much tougher draw against E Clawdius Unum, which was pitted.
3) ISDSFA scored another OOTA by toppling Pure Evil.
4) While Killobite score another pit with The Quaestor.
Booth 1: Frank Goacher
Booth 2: Kody Kunz
5,4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
Both bots move away from their starting positions, Killobite looks menacing and ISDSFA looks devilish! ISDSFA tries to attack, but Kody digs his forks into the ground and gets underneath! He comes in with the crusher, but ISDSFA lifts up its scoop to attack with the disc! Theres nothing for Kody to hold, so he withdraws the crusher and instead flips ISDSFA onto its back! Frank quickly uses his srimech and comes on a side attack, throwing Killobite 5.0 over! Frank continues the attack, pressing down on top with his scoop and getting in with that disc! Damage is minimal, but Killobite isnt in a great position and Frank slams Kody into the CPZ! Killobite is righted by the spike just as Frank stops pressing down with his scoop, but lands propped up on the wall! Theres nothing Kody can do, and Frank comes in for the kill!
ANOTHER HEAT COMES TO A CLOSE!
Frank Goacher takes ISDSFA through to the series finals, Killobite is bitten and doesnt live to fight another day!
Coming Next: The First Eliminator of Heat E
No Objections v Bar-Red
Very impressive fights Liam. Now onto another battle.
Bar-Red vs. No Objections: With the score currently at 3-0 to Joey, I believe it may becoe 4-0  But I have a plan to give me a chance - his spinning ring is 12mm Hardox, putting any ability to breaking the ring impossible, and it has shock-proofing, putting out any plan to shock-kill it, but in order to spin he has to spin ON THE SPOT! I dont have to spin on the spot, as my bar can spin up and allow me to move at the same time. I should be able to spin-up easily and the reach of my bar is 90cm, 20cm longer than the body of my robot (70cm) So I can prevent him hitting me and cause some nasty scars. If he starts to spin, go for the pit release button and then try to bash him down the pit.
Good luck Joey - again! :proud:
Bah, crashed out again. :proud:
We have now reached the halfway point of the competition, and Heat E is about tk=o get underway!
Eliminator 17/32:
No Objections v Bar-Red
No Objections has been billed by his opponent as one of the best vapourbots this year, so this is sure to be a friendly battle, right?
Think again. This is the 4th Paul/Joey clash of the competition so far, and its 3-0 to Joey. Paul looks up to No Objections, but he hopes to be looking down on it by the end of this bout with his original design Bar-Red!
Booth 1: Joey McConnell
Booth 2: Paul Cuomo
5,4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
Bar-Red starts spinning up, while No Objections does the same! But the Bars reach is longer than No Objections ring, and Paul draws first blood, smashing into Joey and leaving a long scar along one side of the dome! Joey quickly stops spinning while Paul spins back up and gets underneath Bar-Red to lift it over! He does so, and to stop Paul self-righting Joey clamps down on top with his lifting arm! Bar-Red aint going nowhere, so Joey pushes him into the pit release button! The siren wails, but Joey cant get around to push Bar-Red in without giving Paul the time to self-right! To contemplate this Joey stacks Bar-Red on the wall, then tries to flip it OOTA! Bar-Red however, falls off the lifter early on and crashes sideways to the ground, landing on the side of its own bar weapon! Paul tears a chunk out of the arena floor and bounces onto his back! He self-rights, but Joey is ready and gets underneath again, lifting Bar-Red up into the air again to let it come crashing down on its back once more! Now Joey repeats his earlier tactic of pressing down with the lifter and pushes Bar-Red onto the edge of the pit! Paul cant really self-right from here, so Joey does a victory spin and shoves him into the chasm!
WE NOW AWAIT THE SECOND ELIMINATOR!
Joey makes it 4-0 and takes No Objections onto the heat semi-finals!
Coming Next:
Bio-Hazard v Tira III
(Message edited by Robot_Warrior on April 17, 2008)
TACTICS:
BIOHAZARD vs Tira III
Get underneath him and flip him. hopefully hell go spinning around the arena with that disc of his.
As much as I dont mind losing to Joey, this is starting to become an annoyance - 4-0! But Ive still got MeCannibal, Storm 2 and Terrorhurtz to make the semis.
Tactics posted earlier.
Seriously, one hit from Tiras disc should be enough to send Biohazard over for an instant win, even with his giant length and width dimensions.
A much anticipated eliminator is ahead!
Some people are actually going for Mark here, as they believe Tiras lack of a srimech will prove fatal when Kody faces the dreaded lifter of Bio-Hazard! But Kody is not without supporters, and Bio-Hazards titanium armour, flimsy by vapour standards could fall foul of the flywheel....
Eliminator 18/32:
Bio-Hazard v Tira III
Bio-Hazard is a two-time champion of the original robot wars competitions, and a three time champion of Battlebots. Will he be the champion of Robot SMASH!!?
Tira III is another of Kodys creations. So far Mr. Kunzs vapours have not made it past the heat final, but Tira plans to do things differently.
Booth 1: Mark Elam
Booth 2: Kody Kunz
5,4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
Tira immediately spins up, but Bio-Hazard is feeling aggressive and comes in to slam Tira from the side! Its a quick start by Mark, and he lifts Tira as he bashes her into the angle grinder! But Tira falls back onto her wheels and Kody brings the flywheel into play!
CRASH!
Bio-Hazard spins away across the arena floor, but one of the skirts is buckled and bent and he seems to have lost drive in some wheels as mobility is limited when Kody tries to get back into the match! From the buckled side skirt we can see that at least two of the wheels on the left hand side have been mangled by Tiras flywheel, and now Kody comes in on the attack again!
CRASH!
Bio-Hazard is lifted into the air and pirehouttes gracefully before crashing down into the CPZ! Mark is flipped by the spike, and before he can self-right Kody comes in on the attack for the third time!
CRASH!
THE SECOND ELIMINATOR IS OVER!
Tira III defies the bookies favourite and moves on to the heat semi-finals, Bio-Hazard is biologically eliminated!
Coming Next:
The May Tracks Has You v Sonic Boom
(Message edited by Robot_Warrior on April 17, 2008)
Eliminator 19/32:
The May Tracks Has You v Sonic Boom
TMTHY is an interesting weapon synergy, utilising a flipper combined with spikes on the wedge to cause some serious tyre damage!
Sonic Boom is an axlebot based on Stinger. The axe has over 800kgs of force when this bot attacks, so watchout!
Booth 1: Frank Goacher
Booth 2: Daniel Stickler
5,4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
Both bots move off into the center of the arena, and Sonic Boom attacks! And misses... This lets Frank get in underneath those 20cm wide wheels, and now Sonic Boom is well and truly stuck on those spikes! TMTHY easily pushes Sonic Boom into the arena wall now, and lets it fly!
CRASH!
Sonic Boom goes sideways onto the angle grinder and comes down to earth with a bump! Daniel comes on the attack of May Tracks again, this time scoring a direct hit on the bodywork of Franks machine! May Tracks is stopped in its tracks for a moment, but then continues as normal and gets Sonic Boom on those spikes again, and this time Frank gets Sonic Boom right up close to the wall at the back of the arena (by the pit release, away from the entry doors) and flips it again!
SONIC BOOM!
Boom goes go the boom, and sonic boom goes Sonic Boom! May Tracks goes through to the heat semi-finals!
Coming Next:
Whirligig 4.5 v With or Without You
(Message edited by Robot_Warrior on April 17, 2008)
Good that you dont mind losing to me Paul...could happen quite a bit :proud: Good fight though, I always get nervous about whos going to win because your bots and mine tend to be evenly matched.
And there you go, folks. :proud: Besides I hate Biohazard, and even if someone else entered him I would have wanted him to die. :proud:
Go Tira! Shes on fyah! :proud:
Um...kill it. :proud:
Quote:
I always get nervous about whos going to win because your bots and mine tend to be evenly matched.
--------------------------------------------------
I get quite nervous as well, because both our designs tend to be the same in certain aspects, but I tend to get nervous because of the amount of time weve fought in this competition ALONE, Im trying to at least get more than 1 win over your team. Except when I look at your designs and compare them to mine, I notice that as well as being efficent, your designs are also original. I tend to lack originality, and tend to focus on my robots being efficient.
I noticed also that on your page on Kodys big page that youve had a 21-10 win-lose ratio. Very impressive, Ive been here for longer than you, but Im worked out my win-lose ratio is:
19-20 (Including hypotheticals)
I worked that ratio out myself, so its probably wrong :proud: and thanks for saying mine are original - I usually design something I like, rather than something thatd be very effective, but its worked out alright so far...I admire some of your robots though, largely because Im very bad with spinners while you seem to be really good with them.
I both design something effective AND that I like :proud:. And thanks for saying that about my robots - the majority of them date back to my arrival on the forum, where to be honest, they were AWFUL! But gradually, i found my feet and realised that you dont need Eteks for drive in a ring-spinners.
Nitro-Gene I think is without a question my most sucessful robot and MeCannibals the second and D.V.D is the 3rd. Nitro-Gene went through quite a progress of improvement, much like that of AJ and his robots. The first incarnation of Nitro was a box with slanted sides and a flat-front as well as that flipper. Then I added a wedge to the front to give me an advantage in getting under other robots, the 2 48V Eteks were removed and I added 4 LEMs at 36V and I made the armour on the flipper much harder. Version 3 was retired very quickly, but Nitro-Gene 4.0 now has skirting, a more powerful flipper, less wheels to increase traction, more armour and Ive also rounded off ALL the edges to make it resiliant to the spinners with hooked teeth.
But yes...anyway :proud:
Eliminator 20/32:
Whirligig 4.5 v With or Without You
Whirligig 4.5 is an extremely powerful ring spinner from Steven McGregor. It weighs in at 110kg, as it has shuffle pads. With or Without You will have a tough time here.
With or Without You is yet another clusterbot! With is a rambot, Without You is a box with a powerful spinning blade on top, but if Without You flipped it stays flipped, and that weak armour could meet the wrath of Whirligig here!
Booth 1: Steven McGregor
Booth 2: Martijn M Benschop
5,4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
Without You and Whirligig both start spinning up, while With comes flying across the arena at Whirly!
CRASH!
It hits, and stops Steven spinning for a moment, but the brick has gone into orbit, as Stevens spinner has sent it reeling! But the strategy has worked and now the fully spinning Without You comes in! Something goes flying off Whirly! It may have been one of the blades, it may have been just paintwork, but we know it wasnt anything crucial beacuse now Whirly is spinning at full pseed again and is on the attack!
CRASH!
Steven slams into Without You, and theres now a large gash in the side! It isnt moving, so Steven starts spinning up again, but hes forgotten about With, which now comes in and pushes him right across the arena into the far corner! Whirly is flipped by the spike, and starts spinning up. But Martijn is too fast and pushes him back into the corner where hes flipped again! This time Whirlys having none of it and runs in the other way so Martijn cant push him in, and now Steven is back at full speed so theres nothing With can do!
Martijn tries to get Without You back into the game by shoving it a bit with With, but to no avail and now he comes back on the attack of Whirly! He pushes Steven onto the flame pit, but then Steven comes on the attack, shuufling side on to With! Martijn tries to turn and push Whirly, but Steven pulls around and slams into the rear armour!
CRASH!
The panel flies off and With spins away!
Theres no real movement from either cluster now, but With is moving circles so in comes Steven for once last mighty blow!
CRASH!
Something comes flying out of With, it seems to be the link, and it bounces along the arena floor to join what appears to be Without Yous batteries on the floor!
5,4,3,2,1, IMMOBILE!
The crowd cheer as Whirly heads on to the heat semi-final!
The Heat Semi-Final Draw:
No Objections v The May Tracks Has You
Tira III v Whirligig 4.5
Coming Next: The first featherweight semi-final!
Skink v Pillow Torque
Ah, I have the may tracks...
TICTACS:
Spin, and keep spinning unless Ive stopped spinning and hes nearby, in which case lift, pin with the arm, and go for the pit.
Bonne chance, Monsieur Goacher
No Objections v The May Tracks Has You
I think Frank has the edge here.
Tira III v Whirligig 4.5
WHY?!?
Keep hitting it and pray that it works. :proud:
Special Event:
Featherweight Semi-Final 1/2:
Skink v Pillow Torque
In the heats, Skink flipped Cunning Plan OOTA to win the match. It was an easy victory, and here it has another rammer, albeit an invertible one.
Pillow Torque had a much tougher heat with DTK, however Franks driving skills were too much for Mark and DTK was sent packing.
Booth 1: Martijn M Benschop
Booth 2: Frank Goacher
5,4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
Pillow Torque gets a very aggressive start, ramming into Skink and pushing Martijn into the angle grinder! The plastic armour is cut at the rear, but Skink flips Pillow Torque up and over and escapes. Upside down Franks wedge is useless, so Martijn comes on the attack and gets underneath, slamming it into the arena wall and flipping it again! But Pillow Torque only balances on the rails before coming back into the arena and is safe! Frank quickly drives away, but Martijn comes in from behind and flips him over again! With the use of his wedge returned Frank gets underneath and slams Martijn into the pit release button! Martijn escapes, but Frank follows and rams from behind, straight into the corner! Skink is flipped by the spike, but lands on its wheels. Pillow Torque tries to push Skink into the wall, but drives over the spike and is flipped! Skink takes advantage and rams in from the side, dodging the spike and pushing Pillow Torque up against the side wall! Martijn stacks Pillow Torque on the wall, then attempts to get under to flip it over and out!
FLIP!
Seemingly in slow motion, Pillow Torque sails over the barrier and slams into the macrolon shield that protects the audience before it crashes down onto the camera tracks that have felt the weight of so many robots in Robot SMASH!!
THE FIRST FW SEMI-FINAL IS OVER!
Skink goes through to the final while Pillow Torque rests in peace (sort of)!
Coming Next:
No Objections v The May Tracks Has You
If hes spinning on the spot, Ill go in slowly and allow the forks to skip up the wedge. Keep it close so he wont have time to spin on the spot to a dangerous speed, and try to get him OOTA.
Good luck Joey:)
Heat Semi-Final 9/16:
No Objections v The May Tracks Has You
No Objections defeated Bar-Red in the eliminator despite taking some damage to the faily weak armouring.
In round one TMTHY dominated Sonic Boom, eventually throwing it OOTA to take the win and the place in this round!
Booth 1: Joey McConnell
Booth 2: Frank Goacher
5,4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
Joey immediately starts spinning in the arena, and Frank n=knows hes gotta do something before hes completely powerless! TMTHY goes in slowly and Joeys forks slip up onto his wedge! No Objections never got up to a really dangerous speed, so TMTHY is undamaged and now pushes under Joeys dome, perhaps shredding the tyres? Well probably find out later on, but now Frank pushes No Objections up against the angle grinder, then...
FLIP!
No Objections wobbles precariously on the rails and starts to fall out, but then Joey uses the lifter so that it falls back into play, side on to May Tracks! Frank quickly turns and gets underneath the side again to throw Joey up and over! No Objections quickly self-rights, but May Tracks is relentless and pushes it into the corner, where it is flipped by the arena spike! And this time Frank pushes in underneath the already upside down No Objections to cause damage to the top armour! When its on top Joey tries to use the lifter in order to self-right off May Tracks, but before he goes anywhere Frank flips him again! Joey flies up into the air and lands in a very awkward position indeed- the main body is inside the arena, but the lifter stuck over the wall, stopping No Objections from going anywhere! This makes Franks next decision very easy, and he certainly gets the general idea! May Tracks slickly slides under the body and lets fly!
THATS REVENGE FOR ACRONYMS FTW!
The camera tracks has you, No Objections! May Tracks goes through to the heat final!
:lame: You got me, Frank...but Ill be baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack...:P
