With the slight advantage in speed, Push-ish is just off the mark first and our two rammers collide painfully head-on in the arena centre! Both robots end up being knocked away from each other on contact, but its M.O.A.B.I.E. who recovers first! The initial blow has also allowed the No.3 seed to get an easy broadside attack on the fellow veteran and smash its front wedge into the skirts! Though failing to slip beneath, Aaron wastes no time in steaming on and smashing the VFT Heat Finalist into the nearest wall! Push-ish barely gets a moment to register the pain when M.O.A.B.I.E. is at it with another brutal slam! And another! And another! And...no more. :proud: Dave has just managed to dart around to the sides of its opponent while it was backing up! Feeling as though a little retribution is in order, Mr Sheppard slowly lifts the No.3 seed a little bit off the ground before charging straight up towards the Void Activator! With a wince-worthy crash, last seasons bronze medallist smashes off the Button as all present in the auditorium are deafening by the proceeding klaxon! Quickly, M.O.A.B.I.E. turns around (getting a cheeky shunt off of Push-ish whilst doing so) and rockets wedge-first into the fellow veterans sloped body! With more force behind its own charge, the No.3 seed proves lower on this occasion and powers right under the large wedges front! But Aaron isnt stopping at just that - in fact, hes not stopping, full-stop! Having raised the front end upward with its nifty lifter, the PTT4 bronze medallist thunders right down the ring and slams Push-ish into the bottom arena disc! A burst of sparks illuminate the scene on contact as Daves machine is sent bouncing to one side! Thankfully, the TG and Hardox armouring have held up very well indeed against the flywheel, but that isnt stopping Mr M.O.A.B.I.E.! Powering on, the No.3 seed begins shoving its victim over towards the Void...but as it does so, Push-ish jerks backwards and out of the former Finalists path! Instantly, Dave takes command of the duel, slipping under the skirtless sides of last seasons bronze medallist and quickly shunting it back to the top of the arena! M.O.A.B.I.E. attempts to struggle to freedom, but the little lifters on Push-ish arent making it easy for the wheels to comply with Aarons wishes! Finally, the ride comes to a stop and the boxy veteran is back on the ground...in Mr Hydes CPZ! Hurridly, Mr Knight gathers his bearings and shoots out the Patrol Area, only inches short of a hammer blow by the House Robot in its rush! With Push-ish not far behind it, the No.3 seed suddenly twirls around as it reaches the left-hand wall! Quickly changing direction, Dave tries to meet his rival head-on again, but M.O.A.B.I.E. ends up hitting a front corner, squeezing the wedge under the skirting gap and sliding around to get itself under the fellow veterans rear scoop! Before its foe can respond, the No.3 seed charges full steam ahead towards the fence, raising its own front wedge up to maximum height! A frightful clatter signals their collision! Push-ish is thrust upwards by the combined force of the lifter and the impact and an extra nudge from the PTT4 bronze medallist tips it right over onto the wall! As M.O.A.B.I.E. backs away, Dave tries to pursue...but cant! With the scoop end balancing on the fence, the wheels are hovering in mid-air! All that Mr Sheppard can do is force his lifting plates up and down and up and down, hoping against hope hell rock himself free...but nae such luck! While Aaron breathes a secret sigh of relief, the Grim Beeper trundles over to claim another cybernetic soul...

Unhappy to have missed out on a munch of M.O.A.B.I.E., Mr Hyde dashes out of his corner and comes to a halt in front of the balanced Push-ish! Maliciously, the House Robot fires its axe and adds a couple of hammer blows to its humiliation! But theres two problems with this: one, the shell took the hits just fine; and two, hes knocked the competitor back onto the ground again! Ready to make up for his bruising with Uncle Sam, Dave charges straight for Mr Hyde and slides right under the front claws! The hammer comes bashing down frantically, but makes little more than the smallest of dints as Push-ish rockets over to the Void and sends the House Robot 6ft under...shortly followed by itself! :proud:

Our legendary battlecry has barely been voiced as Andy begins revving up Typhoons shell and Gary moves it down the ring! However, the Axe Attaxe is nippier than most think and dashes away after the RW champion! Just as the duo reach the bottom arena disc, Gary suddenly jerks his creation to one side, nearly forcing the newcomer to throw itself into the flywheel! Angered, Mattys machine turns around...and suddenly gets walloped by a charging Typhoon! With a bang, the Axe Attaxe bounces away and into the arena disc with a burst of sparks! Immediately, Mr McD backs off, wincing as he notices the little scars along the hammerbots side! One piece of good has come from this ambush, though - Typhoons shell is now at a complete stop! Quickly, Corporal Cairns tries to get away for some revving room, but the Axe Attaxe finally catches up! Giving the veteran a hard nudge, it scrapes its wedged body under one of the claws and brings the axe down on its titanium shell! The PTT veteran barely has time to react to this, though, when Matty forces down on the Forward! stick and shoves the Scotbot right up the Warzone and into the Void Activator! Still, Typhoon struggles to escape over the sirens blaring, but the Axe Attaxe just drives further underneath and pins it up against the wall, before raining down a hail of blows on the lethal lampshade with its mighty hammer! Dint after dint starts being punched into the conical body, even managing a tiny penetration here and there, until Matty finally backs off for another shunt! Not daring to waste this oppertunity, Gary jerks Typhoon into life and sends the RW champion speeding back across the arena, shell quickly beginning to spin up again! But the Axe Attaxe is quickly back in pursuit and catches up just as it passes the middle of the ring! On collision, the two are sent twirling away and though it may have a scar for its troubles, the newbie has once again slowed Typhoons shell! Like a flash, Mattys machine has darted back into it and stopped the spinner completely this time! With a little realignment, the hammerbot slips straight between two of its rivals claws and deep underneath! Corporal Cairns attempts an escape, but that proves too hard as the axe shoots into action and grapples on (creating the umpteenth dint into the bargin)! Beaming broadly, Mr McD steps into top gear and dashes as fast as it can over to the Void, the hammer not daring to release Typhoon! Andy desperately tries to get the shell going again...but to no avail! Finally, the axe is released and the reigning Robot Wars champion plummets to the very depths of the Warzone...

TACTICS:
Manouver around to the sides and/or back of MOABIE, and attack it with the axe, and trapping it. Keep away from the front most importantly. Try to damage the wheels, but if that wont work, then Ill just keep attacking from the sides/back, while the axe has MOABIE trapped. No matter what I do here, try and quickly push it down the pit when I first get the chance to do so.
Prediction: Axe Attaxe to win a JD on aggression and damage.

Both machines are off to a flying start today...but neither is heading towards the other! No, they havent magically become pacifists :proud:, theyre just both dashing up to the Void Activator! Thanks to its mighty motors, M.O.A.B.I.E. is the one who gets there first, but as the rammer bashes into the Button, the Axe Attaxe collides into its rear and easily slips underneath it! Aaron barely gets time to respond before the hammer comes crashing down on the No.3 seeds lid! Thankfully, the Hardox 450 shell is more than enough to take the punishing blow, but thats not stopping Matty! Still with a hold on its rival, the newcomer tugs hard and successfully manages to yank the more experienced machine out the corner! However, the axe head loses its grip in doing so and allows the PTT4 Finalist to escape! Feeling a little retribution is in order, M.O.A.B.I.E. zips around to the side of its sloped adversary and scrapes its own lifting wedge under the 5mm ground clearance! Quickly, the No.3 seed shoots down the ring and, with a little help from the lifter, easily rolls the Axe Attaxe right over onto its back near the arena centre! But just as Aaron comes back in for another big ram, Matty jams his finger down on his Hammah! button and rights his creation with one swift swipe of its nasty weapon! The wheels have barely touched the ground, though, when the more experienced competitor crashes into the rear and starts shoving once more! Before the lifty wedge can get back into action, Mr McD dashes out of the PTT4 Finalists clutches and tries to get around the sides again! There follows a short display of balletics from both combatants as they manouevre for position, before M.O.A.B.I.E. gets fed up and manages to clip its rivals side! The Axe Attaxe twirls to react and ends up going wedge-to-wedge with our No.3 seed! On this occasion, the newbie proves the lower and brings the hammer down again as it scrapes further under the former bronze medallist! However, the axe head is proving as ineffective as before as it pecks down on the Hardox lid and now the PTT veteran is beginning to shove back, the Void seemingly its destination! Quickly realising this, Matty halts the hammers rain of blows and hurridly backs off, the bottom corner only a few feet away by now! M.O.A.B.I.E. attempts another full-on assault, but the excellent manoueverability on Mr McDs creation serves him in good stead and allows him to get around to the No.3 seeds side, just as it too begins to turn! Aaron immediately tries backing off, but the axe is down once again and Matty quickly crosses into the corner! The hammer may have a good grip on it, but the PTT4 Finalist is showing no signs of giving up! The four special wheels are spinning like theres no tomorrow and the uber-rammer seems to be breaking free with some manic wiggling! Will Mr Knight survive! The Axe Attaxe answers this question for us by reaching the edge of the Void and retracting the hammer! A few shakes later and the scrambling former bronze medallist tumbles down into the darkness below...

Ok, Im gonna go for Natural Selection first, because of its relatively high GC and slow ability to self-right, then try and get it down the pit as quickly as possible. Then, get to the sides of P.C.C., getting underneath it with my low front, and quickly push it down the pit when I first get the chance. Team up with The Ultimate Wedge if I encounter any problems with P.C.C.
Spin around and hit into things, preferably opponents. I think this time Ill head for the one with tougher armour so Im more likely to meet the more lightly armoured one later. Ill just be using the standard blades.
Predictions:
Melee 1 - Tengu to easily make it through. Not sure about who else will go through, possibly GeForce Eevo or Insecticide... or Flaming Hell :proud:
Melee 2 - The Ultimate Wedge and P.C.C to charge through the opposition.

Well, I dunno much about the other two, but they are less of a problem than Tengu I am sure :) so Ill try to take them out by the usual spinner method: try and tear them apart via their weakest point

Forged from the fires of the Naughty Place itself, Flaming Hell ascends to Earth to try and burn the hopes of all our other contestants. Modelled very much on former Battlebots champion Son of Whyachi, this newcomer is a simple circle with a horrible triangular spinning cage with a bot opener attached to each arm. Powered by a LEMCO at 36v, the weapon can easily reach speeds of 3000rpm, enough to give Beelzebot himself the heebie-jeebies! Better yet, small shockproofed electric actuators on the rotor arms allow for a clean and easy self-righting mechanism, a problem for many a robot like this. Along with this, Daves creation is a real devil to get hold of with excellent manouverability and speeds of up to 15mph...but despite being far apart to increase stability, the four wheelbarrow wheels provide little in the way of decent traction and if anyone of the tougher machines gets past the cage, they could easily feast on the 3mm titanium shell of the main body. Will Flaming Hells plans for conquest go up in smoke? :proud:

Formerly a resident of Aaron Knights imaginary garage, GeForce was nic...erm...given to Andy for the right price and has since become a solid member of the AJRobotics squadren. Now in its second year of PTT combat, this Spawn Again lookalike still sports its nasty rear-hinged Nitrogen flipper. It can last for over 20 flips and at 1000psi, it can easily throw up to a tonne and a half at the tip! However, the veteran has returned with a few little upgrades - the machine has moved from two Vulcalon-coated wheels to four, the armour is now 3.25mm monocoque Hardox and the flipper now sports a wee titanium strip. Hey, every little helps. :proud: Along with this, the twin LEM-130s make it an excellent pusher and the 15mph top speeds are a definate plus. Unfortunately, though, the 10mm ground clearance will leave it open to other tossing devices and if that weapon runs out of gas, GeForce Evo 4.0 may not be too far ahead. :proud:

Back to bug us even more, Insecticide is here to poison anyone elses hopes of title victory. Completely unchanged since the last time, Scotts spinner is as unusual as ever - a circular machine with a pod on either side containing a drive wheel each and a 16kg horizontal disc at the front. Mounted ala Disc-O Inferno, the flywheel is powered by a Briggs and Stratton Etek motor at 36v and can reach speeds of 1500rpm. Not dangerous enough, you say? Well, the spinner is barely 4cm off the ground, so dont say that to Scotty without decent skirting :wink:. Not only that, but our old friend is more annoying than a bluebottle with its excellent manouverability and its invertible body will give the flippers a hard time. However, a maximum ground clearance of 10mm will still leave it vulnerable to that crowd and with a 5mm titanium shell, quite a few of the tougher competitors could prove deadlier to Insecticide than a visit from the exterminator. :proud:

Though it had a decent battle record behind it beforehand, it was PTT3 that helped propel the Tengu series to superstardom. Now as a former silver medallist, former Semi-Finalist and owner of many a trophy, the mythical swordsman is back for another stab at the title. For this latest incarnation, its more of the same in terms of the big stuff - a low spinning cylinder on wheels with interchangeable claws. This is powered by a 4 MagMotor at a gear ratio of 6:1, allowing for ludicrous speeds and up to 70/80kJ of energy given per blow! Not only that, but now accompanying the toughened circular skirting is a unique anti-spinner ring, separately mounted between the whirling blades. This dissipates the energy or whatnot, check his site for more. :proud: Along with this, the mixture of titanium and polypropylene armour will prove a real challenge for our more destructive challengers and the srimech arm atop is fast than most other FBSs. However, the combination of 18mph top speeds and the spinners own forces will lead to a few control mishaps and with little traction on the four wheels, can Tengu prove mightier than the sword again? :proud:

After such a long wait for this duel to start, Flaming Hell and Tengu begin spinning up; partly for killing n such and partly for shaking off the cobwebs coating them :wink:. While these two quickly rev to their deadly limits, GeForce and Insecticide meet in the arena centre! With its highly effective sloping shape, Andys machine easily slips under its rival and fires! The Scottish veteran is sent at least 7ft into the air before clattering back down, made all the worse by a nasty collision with a whirling Flaming Hell! Its own disc now starting to revolve menacingly, Insecticide spins round and tries to whack it with the flywheel! Unfortunately, the newbie has already darted away, but on the plus side, Scotty has managed to hit the side of GeForce in the process! Andy quickly administers a second flip on the fellow PTT4 competitor, but as Mr Anderson prepares to retaliate, Tengu shoots over with a sinister hum and smashes into the side of the circular Scotbot! With a bang, the duo bounce off each other, Insecticide definately the worse off with a nasty scar along the titanium shell! However, the unusual-looking machine remains persistant and just manages to clip GeForce with the disc again before darting aside! Thankfully, Andys entrant suffers little more than a scuffing of its painjobt and while Flaming Hell and Tengu get unvolved in an unusual little polka, the former Aaron creation powers back under Insecticide with relative ease! Quickly, Scott tries to drive off the sloped front, but by the time he starts waggling those control sticks, GeForce charges to the nearest fence and chucks the fellow PTT4 veteran over the edge in a burst of nitrogen!
Insecticide gets swatted! Looks like Scotty got bugged once too often! :proud:
Meanwhile, the battle of the spinners is raging ever onward. Thus far, neither robot has managed to get a good blow on the other and caused many yawns amoungst the more impatient members of the audience. However, a little burst of speed from Tengu at last results in a collision and both machines end up bouncing away from each other! It must be said that our 5th seed is holding up the better right now, as its shell is slowed but still active. Flaming Hells cage is now at a complete stop and just as it starts going again, Alex dashes back in and clobbers the newbie a second time! It would appear that the PTT veterans blades are beginning to chop away into one or two of the cage arms and that cant be helping for performance...neither can a sudden attack from GeForce at that! :proud: Charging across the Warzone, the PTT4 competitor scrapes its new strip underneath Flaming Hell and throws the Zorro-esque machine onto its side after a nasty 8ft flight upward! However, just as Andy is about to initiate another flip, Tengu dashes onto the scene and slams its spinning self into the fellow veterans side! Mr Jackson has just regained control of the pawned predator when our former Finalist rockets back in for a second blow! And a third! And a fourth! GeForce is being pinged around like a marble and barely getting a millisecond to line up a decent flip! By this time too, one of Flaming Hells little srimech arms has kicked into play and finally rerighted the newcomer! Just as Tengu gets in a fifth side attack on GeForce, Dave Ws creation shoots over to join in the fun, this time scarring the flippers other side! Andy is definately not having a good time here, with both spinners ganging up on him as it were! First, Tengu; then, Flaming Hell! Then, Tengu; then, Flaming Hell! Then...Flaming Hell again. Tengu needed more revving that time :proud:. But at any rate, things look bad for Andys entrant - the Spawn Again lookalike might be only suffering from scars rather than slashes, but the innards have been joogled about to no end and resulted in highly sluggish controls! Finally, our 5th seed comes back for one more blow...and GeForce comes to a complete halt! Though it stood up well to the physical damage, the internals just couldnt take the energy from all those blows and as Tengu chases its fellow spinner around the arena, the Grim Beeper comes over to end Mr Js misery...

Making its first appearance here in the PTT, Natural Selection is hoping to end up top of the food chain and you know, that looks entirely possible. Boxy in appearance with a scooped front and rounded rear, the main weapon is somewhat akin to Anthrax/Draven - a hydraulic lifting arm with a set of vertical pincers, allowing it to clamp hold of other competitors before lifting them up into the air. And with 400kg of grip behind those jaws, you do not want to end up inside em. Along with this, Chris creation is fitted with side-skirts to annoy the flippers amoungst us and decent speeds of 15mph from its twin Bosch motors given its four wheels a fair bit of torque. However, the 4mm titanium may prove vulnerable against the more damaging competitors and the arm is very slow when in operation. Will Natural Selection quickly be picked off by our polycarb predators? :proud:

Or to give its full name, the Predetermined Confrontation Contraption. Phew. :proud: After a reasonably successful campaign last year, this fourth incarnation of the S.E.G. series returns with more interchangeable goodness than the next leading brand. Still a low box with side roll-bars and rear spikes, a whole host of nasty weaponry can be stuck on the front - everything from flippers and discs to scoops and spears. Add to that the nifty new skirts, the nasty pushing power and the 6mm monocoque steel shell and youre looking at the pinacle of superbotness! Along with this too, the invertible frame will be the flippers nightmare, while general speeds of 18mph will make it dashed tricky to keep track of. But despite this, only the rear two of its four wheels will work inverted and with such high speeds, control might end up a bit questionable. Is it a matter of time before P.C.C. ends up D.O.A.? :proud:

Probably most famous for driving through the arena wall last time around, the Ultimate Wedge powers back in the ring to justify its name a second time. Still an invertible Voltronic-style wedge as before, the biggest change here is in the weapons department. While before it featured twin flywheels, now its equipped with a high-pressure top-hinged flipper. Powered by an 80mm bore ram with nearly 2.2 litres of CO2 pumped into it, the new launcher can produce well over 500kg of force and sits on top of the armour to expose no innards when it opens. Crafty mutt. :wink:. Sticking with the Ultimate tag, Aarons annihilator also features 4mm Hardox 500 armour and the pushing power given to the six wheels by its two LEMCO-200 motors are virtually unsurpassable. But despite the strong armouring, the wheels are still exposed to overhead attacks and with speeds of up to an gobsmacking 35mph, the Ultimate Wedge has every chance of creating the ultimate crash scene. :proud:

...is it me or did it just get colder in here? :proud: Yes, Mattys homage to Firestorm has returned and hoping to have a better time than it did last season. Just like before, its a simple wedge with a forward-hinged flipping panel, but simplicity has been known to pay off. Running at 500psi, the arm will happily tip over a fellow competitor with no problems and the titanium strip will make getting under most other machines a doddle. Along with this, top speeds of 16mph and excellent manoueverability make this lookalike a very slippery customer and while rarely used much anymore, the 7mm aluminium casing should provide some adequate protection. Unfortunately, though, the twin S28-400s provide little traction to the two wheels and with such tricky control provided by them speeds, Wind Chiller may end up being blown itself away. :proud:

Easily the quickest of our latest bunch, the Ultimate Wedge rockets across the arena and meets Natural Selection head-on! With a horrible clatter, the newcomer is sent bouncing backwards and thankfully recovers in time to avoid another ram by Aarons annihilator! In the meantime, P.C.C. and Wind Chiller are now in action and encircling each other, almost cat-like. But it isnt long at all before Matty lets the claws fly and charges into the No.28 seeds side! Unfortunately, the wedge n strip barely have time to penetrate the skirts when Daves interchangeable box is off again and twirls around into the side of the Firestorm lookalike! Barely scraping the spatula beneath its rivals own skirts, Mr Sheppard fires the pie-tosser...but isnt far enough underneath and so merely flicks Wind Chiller up before it bangs back onto the ground! However, P.C.C. fails to get another attack in before Natural Selection arrives and gives our 28th seed a nasty bash in the rear! As Dave tries to turn and exact revenge, he, Chris and Matty notice something rather bad indeed - the Ultimate Wedge has just gone and opened the Void! With the siren now deafening the audience once more, Aarons creation thunders down towards the melee and smashes into the three terrors like a bowling ball would with skittles! The quartet separates and its (unsurprisingly) Mr Knights monster who recovers first! Charging across the ring, the first thing it bumps into is P.C.C. - and with a stupid amount of force behind it, the Wedge easily slips under the skirts and inverts the No.28 seed with the greatest of ease! The PTT4 Heat Finalist is only on two wheels now, but its not the only one with problems! Right now, Wind Chiller has just outmanouevered Natural Selection and very nearly flicked it over with the forward-hinged flipper! However, the newbie remains upright and exacts a little revenge by just sneaking around to the Firestormy competitors side and slipping the front claw under its skirt! Before Matty can try and escape, Chris easily outpushes the more experienced machine and rams it into the wall! Torturously, the pincer grabs hold of the skirt itself and the main hydraulic arm begins to rise! Slowly and painfully, Wind Chiller is hoisted into the air by that single strip of aluminium! Natural Selection carefully carries its opponent across the ring...but barely makes it two metres before P.C.C. storms over and crashes into it! Chris grip is lost and Wind Chiller lands back on its wheels! However, the veteran barely has a moment to move when the Ultimate Wedge comes over! Aaron was actually trying to catch up with Dave and the 28th seed, but not any more! Scraping back under the other skirt, the Australian rammer heads full throttle down the arena! Matty desperately attempts to get away, but before he knows it, Wind Chiller has been dumped into the Void in a cloud of smoke! The Ultimate Wedge starts backing away from the holes powerful sucking...but suddenly Natural Selection arrives from behind and shunts the PTT4 competitor into the darkness below as well with a surprise shove! Extremely pleased with this result, Chris waves to the cheering crowd...just as P.C.C. also comes from behind and pushes it down the Void as well! Always have to have the last laught, dont you, Davey Boy? :proud:

Ive also done a great deal of thinking and am considering both scrapping the Otherweights and retiring from major tourney writing after PTT5. Ill still be competing on the forum of course and doing the odd minor from time-to-time as well, but I really would like to concentrate more on my other fic work. Also, Im starting to get out more and you know what thats like. (Do you? :proud:)

Right, against Flaming Hell, its a cage spinner which hasnt got much traction, so I will still with the standard wedge and whatever pointless weapon I stuck on it to get it past security, before box-rushing straight away the pit release, then drive into Flaming Hell at full speed to push down the void, the front wedge should take the damage.
PCC sounds like Tornado, and I will just try to rip the front scoop off, but I will be trying to avoid PCC for a little bit to get the cage spun (I may not have traction, but I got sufficient speed)

As far as Im aware, unless youve let them drop and really cant be bothered to restart them (like my 2nd SSC), its best to keep going with what youve got. I think you should do the Otherweights, because it would add some interest.

Despite being slightly slower on paper, Natural Selection gets off to the better start today, but doesnt go for its opponent straight away! Instead, the newcomer charges up the arena and crashes straight into the Void Activator! With the siren bursting a few eardrums again, Chris competitor starts reversing back into the ring...but a whirling Tengu has unfortunately caught up as it leaves the corner and gives the NSTT Heat Finalist a solid whack on the behind! Mr Coopers boxy entrant gets knocked to one side, a nasty gash now running along the backside! But the Anthraxalike barely gets a moment to respond when our 5th seed charges back over and this time, slams its spinning self into the shunters side! Both bouncing away on impact, Chris notices a second, longer slice in Natural Selections armouring! It seems that the 4 mil titanium is little match for the infamous swordsbot! Quickly realising that, the newbie successfully swerves away from a third blow by Tengu and just before it tries to attempt a fourth, the NSTT Heat Finalist crashes right into the No.5 seed! Although hes taken a couple more slashes, Chris has still managed to stop the PTT veterans blades completely! Just as Alex begins revving them up again, Natural Selection rams into the former Finalist and slams it into the nearest wall with a horrific crash! The crushing pincer might be finding it a chore to get underneath its rival, but that isnt stopping it from shaking things up for Mr Holt! However, as it backs off for another shove, Tengu darts away and starts revving the blades again! The newbie is too slow to catch up this time and in mere moments, the twin claws are back up to speed! With a sadistic grin, Alex U-turns and sends the No.5 seed charging right into the front of Natural Selection! In a blaze of sparks, the talons slice into the titanium scoop before the duo bounce away from each other! Unfortuantely, Chris doesnt get so much as a second to do something, before his rival dashes back in! Another clash at the scoop occurs, this time actually hacking into the lifting pincer itself! And as if to add insult to injury, Tengu hits the front a third time...and almost rips the bottom jaw clean off! :proud: Angered, Natural Selection tries to ram it again, but the PTT3 runner-up is in no mood for mercy and begins attacking the side plating! A thoroughly confused Chris can only wriggle his controller stick madly as the No.5 seed starts smashing into his creations side from as many angles as it can! Mr Cooper is doing his best to hit back, but Tengu is proving just too quick and is off attacking another part of the machine before the newbie can even face it! Slices, slashes and several gashes are being ripped into the 4 mil titanium and it isnt very long before smoke starts to rise from some of the cuts! Finally backing off, the PTT3 silver medallist surveys its prey. Natural Selection is still moving...at least, one side of it is, anyway! Chris tries to fight back, but finds that all he can do is go around in rather sluggish circles! Feeling slightly more merciful than usual after his time off, Alex deactivates Tengus whirling shell and just sits back as the Grim Beeper trundles by to take over...

Off like a rocket, P.C.C. tries to get an early slam in on Flaming Hell straight away! Unfortunately, Davey Shep only manages to clip it as the newbie darts down the ring to rev up the cage! None too bothered by this, the 28th seed turns tail and heads up instead...smack-bang into the Void Activator Button like a bright yellow bolt from the blue! Once again, the siren begins tormenting our audiences senses as the veteran heads back down the arena! By now, Flaming Hell is more than ready to begin the fight and, after deftly dodging a ram from P.C.C., charges into the No.28 seeds side! The bot-openers smack into the 6 mil steel before the two bounce off each other, but thankfully, only a few minor cuts and scrapes were the result this time! Not only that, but Flaming Hell is in desperate need of rerevving that slowed cage! Perfect, Mr Sheppard thinks with a grin. Wasting not a moment, P.C.C. is on the attack again and finally manages to get a blow in on the newcomer! With a few pretty sparks, the scoop halts the spinner completely and just as Mr Weston attempts to flee, our 28th seed is back on the attack and slams the Zorro lookalike down the arena and into Uncle Sams corner! With some careful aiming and a little luck, Dave S slams his hellish opponent right into the House Robots front spinner and creates a nasty slice in one of the bars linking the hammers! Now the meat in a Scoop Sandwich, Mr Weston tries some manic wriggling and just manages to squeeze Flaming Hell out from between the rammers and back into the freedom of the Warzone! But Dave number two isnt done yet! In a flash, P.C.C. is in pursuit and just as Dave the first starts getting the cage spinning again, the No.28 seed gives it a hard shunt and halts the triangular whirling device once again! Threatened, the newbie tries to retreat again, but the PTT4 Heat Finalist slips its scooper back underneath its opponent and heads back down to an arena corner...and its not Uncle Sams! Realising his fate, Dave W tries to wiggle to freedom again, but not this time, mladdo! With a burst of speed, P.C.C. reaches the Void and effortlessly slips the PTT newcomer into the swirling vortex beneath!

I predict that Tengu will win the all seeds heat final on a judges decision by giving PCC a good battering.
Hmmm.....
a fiddly fight it be, but I think this is an oppertunity to try out the heavy impact blade for maximum power to the blows, hopefully theyll buckle the armour and more importantly try and break some components.
Same speed, but his controll is more questionable, therefore I intend to run round it, hitting it and try take of its skirts. Im aiming to land as many blows as possible, but keep on the move constantly to avoid it due to its manouverability issues. But this is going to be a challenging heat final.
Remove the skirts for the heat final and fit the active wedge, and basically open the pit at the start, then box-rush it, the wedge will take the blow by moving inwards in a free movement, spreading the damage around, so that Im next to a stalled spinner, then push down pit. Nothing fancy, nothing stupid.
I have the better acceleration, and the better control because tengu has all those gyro forces to worry about with that spinner.

Today, Davey Boy is going skirtless (naughty boy!) and will be using the active wedge. Torsion-sprung, rubber-laden and highly confusing, it flexes with the force of the spinner and can be tightened to withstand anything from 100kJ to 1 megajoule!
Along with this, Alex will be switching to the pair of twin heavy-impact blades, designed for both ripping and severe shock damage. Ouchies.

ACTIVATE!!!!!!!!!!
Right away, both machines rocket from their starting positions, neither going for an attack just yet. While Tengu quickly gets itself revved up, P.C.C. darts up the arena and crashes into the Void Activator! Barely moments after the trademark siren begins to do its thing, the No.28 seed backs out of the corner and twirls around - taking a vicious blow from its rival as the spinner whacks into its side! In a blur, Tengu whirls aside; but just as it starts getting those lagging blades back up to speed, Davey Boy makes his move and manages to shove the No.5 seed with his spiffy springy scoop! Almost at once, the spinning shell freezes and the delighted Mr Sheppard positions himself to give the former silver medallist a little vacation to the Void! However, having barely made it a few feet across the ring, Alex juts his machine out of P.C.C.s way and happily runs away to get the blades going again! Without missing a beat, the No.28 seed begins pursuing, but makes little progress. It cant catch up that much with both bots having equal speeds and the superiour manoueverability isnt helping matters! After a few seconds of this tension-filled chase, Tengu suddenly whirls around and just manages to clip the side of Daves machine as it zooms past it! Sent into a spin and now sporting a rather ugly scar, the PTT4 Heat Finalist twirls sharply to face the green predator, but our 5h seed is leading it a merry dance and quickly gets in another side blow before it can retaliate! Being bombarded just like the spinners previous conquests, Mr Sheppard puts an end to it by deftly jerking away from a third charge by the former Finalist and grazes the blurry blades with its super scooper! Thankfully, though, Tengu twirls out of the way of a further P.C.C. ram and dashes down to the top end of the Warzone! Davey Boy starts another chase, but by the time he too reaches the tippity-top, Alexs annihilator is happily spinning around to its dark hearts content! Its boxier rival tries a good honest shunt once again, but the No.5 seed simply swerves around and clobbers the sides once more! Almost like a blocky pinball, the 28th seed bounces off the blades and richoch¨s off the top arena flywheel! The steel shell starting to look like Al Capone after a bar fight, P.C.C. turns to try an attack again, but by now, the robot formerly known as S.E.G. is definately starting to look slower than before! As if to really take the biscuit, Tengu adds in another horrific blow to the sides! And another! And another! And (dare I say it?) another! Now jammed right against the arena wall near the Button corner, the interchangeable entrant looks rather dormant now. It seems that the sheer shock from all those blows finally took their toll on P.C.C.s innards. Hey, about 75kJ of energy is enough to make even the toughest machine coffin-fodder! :proud: Sensing the ghost has finally been given up, Tengu gives its opponent one final wallop to make sure, as the Grim Beeper trundles over to the lower seed...

Im fast and im damn good at driving. Im gonna stay away from Spinverter and try to take out Tough as Nails, i should be quick enough to avoid it clutching hold of me and ram it from the side. Obviously, its invertible, so flipping is out of the order as far as TAN goes, but the pincers will come into play if it gets behind me and i believe the range of those is better than the TAN gripping system. The original Love Bite may have been a mere distraction (see Mentorn Conspiracy :p ), but V2.0 means business.
Cant seem to find any statty goodness for Mega Masher (probably not looking hard enough) so Ill play it safe and go for the other two. I dont think PTT5 can do any damage to me, and Chalkie is just high enough for me to get a good attack on, so try to spin them into CPZs or down the pit or something. Preferably the something:proud:
