Ill be posting the random draw shortly
It was beaten in the Heat E Final of Series 7 of Robot Wars by Tornado.
Paul: I dont have any stats for your robots, please provide them, and realistic, cheers.

So, i had to edit my post because i realized that the weaknesses are in the wrong place.

With the Addition of AJ, I need 6 more robots (3 more people). I am waiting on Ben, so really we only need 2 more. Come on, I wanna write this fight already!!
STATS: Robo-Goat

Weaknesses: Not good at pushing
Robo-Hedgehog:

Weight: 110KG
Armour: 5MM Titanium
Drive: 4 LEM130s @ 36V

Ground Clearance: 0MM at front, 4MM everywhere else
Turning Circle: 0

The next three weapons are interchangeable
2) A static Hardox wedge at the front
3) 5 static Hardox forklift arms at the front
4) A hinged Hardox scoop
5) 8 rows of 5 curved teeth, the first 6 rows face the rear and collapse when you drive forward and become rigid and damage the tyres of other robots when you drive backwards, the last row faces the opposite way and are fixed in place
Srimech: Axe, can run inverted if axe is taken off
Strengths: powerful weapons, weapons synergy and is capable of 1 or 2 hit KOs
Weaknesses: Thin armour, easily flipped and sides and rear are vunerable
Ben: Robo goat seems...plausable, so Ill enter him, just curious about the goat horns. Do they go over the top of the robot or beside the flipper (IE: to hold the robot in place so you can flip him whenever, like close to the wall or the pit) ?
Robo-Hedgehog is a little confusing. First, which set up will you be using for the rumble ? Second (and only answer if you plan to use it): can you elaborate on the curved teeth a bit ? Not sure I understand, and third: your batteries; 8 packs @ 36v = 2 sets of 4, 9v batteries. I am guessing the extra set for capacity benefits, but I dont think you can make a 9v pack from Nicads. You can get 9.6v Nicad packs. Up the operating voltage to 38.4v, then its based on real packs.
Cheers

Oh yeah, aiall add 20kg extra of NiCads to both my bots
Ben, would you mind me doing some CADs for you? (the robots you entered here for starters...)
Thats great Martijn, I was hoping someone would offer
For the CAD Ben, I have the same questions Dave had. Can you describe the goat horns a bit better? Are they part of the flipper or part of the main body? And can you describe setup 5 of the Hedgehog please?
On Robo-Goat the horns are part of the body
on Robo-Hedghog I think that I have described setup 5 to the best of my knowledge
quote:
5) 8 rows of 5 curved teeth, the first 6 rows face the rear and collapse when you drive forward and become rigid and damage the tyres of other robots when you drive backwards, the last row faces the opposite way and are fixed in place
Is that 8 teeth high 5 teeth wide or 8 teeth wide and 5 teeth high? Teeth in vapourbots are mostly meant to describe those things you use on your disc, blocks of metal mostly. Are they curved blocks of metal? How do they face the rear (they are on the front of the robot right?) and if they face the rear than what does the rest face?
The way I have interpreted the weapon is...
the teeth are similar to Mutes barbs, in that they can trap opponents when they are trying to drive off the front wedge. However, according to Robo-Hedgehogs stats the shape is a box so I dont see how they would work...
and research told me goat horns face backwards, lol
no, they face forwards, they do not get in the way of the flipper, they are more for use when i face invertible or robots able to self-right, thay are used to grab and hold while I drive towards the pit and then pit them

Ben?
Nice CAD, reminds me of Seung Mina III :)
myeah, theyre both long wedges, I wanted to go into abit more detail but decided to strictly follow the stats to make sure I got what Ben had in mind, thanks Liam :)
nice, but I think its a bit thin
quote:
Dimensions: 110X40X25
I used the dimensions you gave it, you indeed made your robot quite thin :lame:
whoops, that was a typo, it was supposed to be 110X80x25
Ill see if I can fix it, expect Robo-Hedghog to be done somewhere next week btw, running short on time here

w00t
ok, width is now fine, but the horns should be a little longer
... couldnt you have said that after seeing the previous CAD? it had the same horns after all...
Demanding much...
sorry, I suffer from short-term memory loss
