You'd probably need to start by disfiguring your tongue. Either that or it's the sound you make when sneezing :PQuote:

EDIT: What Ceri said
Glad I was schooled in Scotland  Although I have learned something new today, I can read Japanese far more easily than Welsh, never again will I say that is a tough language to learn!
Im coming to gadget show live :)
Will i get to see all you guys there?

I'm doing the recordings today, so anyone that hasn't sent me their details if you do so asap they'll get in the script.

Sorry I missed you, had Internet troubles all day. I've done every robot but only the ones that email me have the extra info. So you sort of didn't get missed....

Nice!
That looks awesome Tom!
Here's a quick example of the audio intros you'll be hearing in April!

I've had a couple of people ask me if they can use the samples for other things after the event, so I've decided to offer them up for sale to the roboteers.
This'll help go towards covering my costs to make them, plus it'll make a good souvenir of the event! I'm asking for just £4 per sample, £10 if you buy 3.
Drop me a line if you're interested (you can wait until after the GSL if you'd like to hear them first!) or if you'd like others made up.

Cheers guys!
Are event details for this going out soon James?
Yes they will :)
Looking at mid week for the UK Championships Team Briefings.
Dragonstike has unfortunately had to withdraw. Our reserve entry is Flow which will be taking Dragonstrikes place. :)
Not long to go!
Its 2 weeks today, I really better start building.....
I'm quite sure you've still got three weeks, actually :wink:Quote:

Just a quick question,if Flow was the reserve machine why wasn't it fighting on the friday to make it an even number of robots on both days ?Quote:

Flow was entered as a reserve after the draw had taken place so to keep it fair it had to take the place of any robot dropped out. The reason it's not completely even is because the entries over-filled slightly (sign-ups filled up too fast :) ).
Not that I can complain about too many entries! :proud:
I made 59 intros to give you an idea of how many robots are going!
Looking at his draw I am sure Kenny would have rather fought on the friday
If any draws have to be changed, feel free to rearrange the 4th battle of Q2 on Friday.
No particular reason, honest intentions, I am only trying to um... help. :uhoh:
You know kennys usin cobalt right?Quote:

The draw didnt bother me really. But to be honest I dont know what any of the other robots are really. I just wanted to get Flow into the arena to give it a test. The robot with the drive and the pneumatics system as it is now hasnt been in any fights so dont really know what to expect.
Anyone wanna tell me what the robots are and look like that flows drawn against?
I know theres Galactus that looks pretty awesome. Other than that theres only aftershock that I know of
When will the event details come out?
All the teams should now have received their event information. If anyone has not received it yet please send me an email and I shall forward it straight to you. if you have any questions just let me know and I shall do my best to help.
Good Luck everyone!
Looks like we've got a bit more space this year, which will be nice!
I would like to point out to everyone that myself and Dan last year had the biggest hassle trying to get to the hall with our car on the Sat.
All the people that worked there (despite us quite plainly explaining ourselves) simply wouldn't believe we were part of an exhibition (I guess because it was a Sat) and repeatedly sent us to paid parking and the ticket office.
Last year we had (and I assume this year is the same) exhibitors parking (which is free) so make it clear that's where you need to go. Also make clear you need to go to a Hall to unload for an exhibition.
Pit space is probably the same as last year to be honest however the entrance and exit is tighter thats why we say if you want to watch the battles please stand outside the barriers around the arena please to avoid congestion in the the pits. Regretfully due to the nature of the event floor space is an extreme premium and we try to allocate as much as possible to the pits.
As long as you are early enough you can bring bits through the main entrance if you do not wish to queue up to get to the loading doors.
Yes roboteers should be able to park in the exhibitors car park.
Will it be possible to park a large (in the region of 7m long) motorhome in that car park, or will we have to work something else out?
That carpark was full of motorhomes/lorries and what not last year so I can't see why not.
I know you said your robot was large!
