Ladies and Gentlemen,
On a serious note for a moment... Please read the report of the FRA tech-checkers training day in the general section.
In paticular, please take note of the part dealing with cradles, sharp edge protection & power lights.
As agreed with the event organisers, any machine that attends this or any other event this year without the above WILL FAIL THE TECH-CHECK and as such WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ENTER THE ARENA until the faults are rectified.
Please make sure that your robot has all three items, as we would hate to have to disqualify any machine over something that is really quick, easy & cheap to get right.
Disaster while testing Dragonsclaw changed the batterys from Nimh to nicads oops now got a bannana shaped robot the motor must have been able to draw more power.
soulution angle grinder cut the robot into 3 pices got rid of the middle bit replaced it with 5mm Ti. then bolted the front and back sections to the Ti. Hope to get it finished for the event. It would happen just when i had got it in weight.
Tony,
Dont break it again before your local event !! that would be silly !!!
This looks like its going to be yet another busy couple of shows, weve had to organise more chairs for the 2pm show as we sold out !! :)
