No definatly unfortunatly. I dont have a spinner heavyweight but for a true championship you need to be able to have all different types of robot compete in my humble opinion. Including the spinners. I do agree that it will be easier on the arena and possibly the other robots without them.
Altough a TerrorHz or Thor pounding away on you or a kan-opener or Tiberius squeezing the life out of you is nothing to sneeze at either.

will there be the addons again - like tag team?
we should have featherweight tag team, i thought beauty n little spinner but then remembered no spinners so now i dont get the easy win lol
envy and thor will be tag team :)
