Dear Roboteers,
Roaming Robots have been in close contact with RAF Tattoo since shocking events that took place a few days ago in London. Due to this the RAF have new procedures in place which we need to follow.

We have just sent out a 2nd email to all teams coming to Air Tattoo. Due to recent events that happened in London, RAF Air Tattoo is stepping up security.

Some of you may have sent us an email with Car Reg numbers and so on, well ANOTHER email has been sent to you asking for More Information, team members names etc.

You need to supply the information before 9pm Tuesday 12th July, or were going to have problems in getting you into the showground. Also all teams members will need to bring photographic ID with them.

The email will also include days and times when to arrive. Main thing is you need to arrive before 7:30am on the Saturday, or your done for really. Stuck in big queues, wont be able to get close to the Robot Area, something like 100 meters away. We would rather not end up with some roboteers bringing robot stuff 100 meters away, it€™s bad enough 3 meters away.

Have they been specific about what photo ID is acceptable? Will just a driving licence do?

A driving licence will be fine.
Another email is going out soon from John F to everyone whos coming. This has more detailed information on where to go and when during Friday/Saturday and Sunday, which we recevied from the RAF last night.

THe Photo ID is mainly for the Friday when teams arrive as public are not meant to be on site on Friday, so they want to know who the hell is on site on Friday. But Again, as were all arriving before 7:30am when the public are allowed in, they may still ask for ID.

Just spoted something on the Robot Zone part of the RIAT site. Sugest you all look at it, seems the feathers will be taking on a team from China!!
