Andy and Tony shake hands once more before they go up the stairs to collect their controllers for the middleweight semi final.

The traffic light system is finally on, after Tony had to brush his hair for the fight, and Andy had to drink the cup of coffee, provided to him by the staff.

Activate
And the fight is away, Steel Sandwich making light work of getting away from the starting square. Knee Breaker has started to spin it€™s weapon up to speed, as both robots come together to hug each other. Andy tries to dodge the spinning blade, but Tony is on his case and uses an anti-dodge to anti-dodge the dodge, which was originally made by Andy. Have I confused you yet?
The spinning blade hits the front armour, and apart from causing lots of pretty sparks and scaring to the front wedge/lifter, neither robot is damaged, as Tony turns and runs, taking Knee Breaker away with him. Knee Breaker turns to face Steel Sandwich, as once more, both robots are sent away, but the lifter fires on Steel Sandwich, stopping Andy€™s real robot he borrowed from spinning out of control.
Knee Breaker slams into Steel Sandwich once more, this time, taking away a piece of the armour, and once more, shaking up the small, compact, armoured like a tank middleweight, as another slam on the side, doesn€™t knock anymore armour away, but shakes Steel Sandwich up inside. Andy turns around to go head-on, to Knee Breaker, as both robots meet, Andy is not holding back, as he gets underneath the bar and lifts the front end of Knee Breaker up, but Tony simply drives away, using his better speed.
I lost my faith in the summertime, because it won€™t stop raining, but lucky for us, the entire arena is undercover, so the rain can run all day and all night, we have food, coffee, and entrainment (just call Tony, Toni :proud:), meanwhile the battle of the sandwich and knee breaker is continuing, with an awful lot of funky middleweight dancing, which is boring to say the least, as there is no action. The arena spike fires at random, as both robots come together. Andy hits Tony€™s machine first, but at before, it is spun away by the bar, as Tony puts on the attacking, hitting Steel Sandwich, once, twice, pushing it away, pushing it towards the pit, which hasn€™t been opened yet.
The two robots are dancing with death, playing on the closed pit, as The Steel Sandwich is taking a lot of hits for the time, but it is surviving all of the hits, except for that one, which was a mega hit on the front corner of Steel Sandwich, knocking out the weapon of Knee Breaker and taking out a corner on Steel Sandwich. Knee Breaker reverses, as 30 seconds are left. Steel Sandwich is sitting still, not moving, the lifter is in the up position. Tony wasting no time, points Knee Breaker towards the pit release, depressing the pit release button, as Steel Sandwich drops 6 feet down, into a pot of smoke and tyres.

The lighting traffic light system thingie-bob is lit up, as it goes from red to amber to green, and the second it hits green a large sound rushes throughout the arena, everybody knows what is it (and no it isn€™t Popcorn)
Activate
Atomic comes forward at full speed, as Mini Disco is getting it€™s horizontal disc up to speed. Atomic turns around the sliding door and comes smashing towards Mini Disco, trapping it between the door and the wall. A quick flip on the sides off Mini Disco, puts Martyn€™s robot upside down, but it has moved away from the edge and more importantly away from Tony and his flipper.
Atomic tries to do another ram to get Mini Disco over the arena wall, but Martyn dodges the attack, and gets broad-side onto Atomic, bringing the horizontal disc, straight in onto the exposed framework and wheels of Atomic. Pieces of wheel and suspension come out, as Atomic goes onto one side, as it€™s right hand side drive has been destroyed by that single impact from this modern classic heavyweight. It proves how much technology has moved on.
Ref has started to count out Atomic, which never got going and wasted it€™s golden moment with a flip. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and there goes the red card.

Both boats set sail for St. Petersburg at the same time, wait that is the wrong script.
Both robots are away from the starting squares, at the same time, as Orka Mk 1 wants to use it€™s wedges and pushing power, compared to Andy€™s flipper and pushing power. Who wins, the judges will decide, unless the two robots can come to an agreeable outcome. Le Nez dodges the first attack made by Orka Mk 1, and turns to face the front end of Orka Mk 1. Andy quickly turns around, but is too late, as he is slammed into the arena wall at full speed, to see what it feels like to be slammed around like a rolling stone.
Le Nez gets underneath the side of Orka Mk 1, after another slam, knocking away the rear wedge from the body, but Andy is looking for revenge here, and driving Le Nez, pushes Orka Mk 1 towards the arena wall, before unleashing the power, sending Orka Mk 1, clean over the arena fence and down onto the camera track, knocking out the flip action camera at the same time, which I kinda borrowed from Frank, so Andy you broke Frank€™s Camera, what am I suppose to say to Frank before he finds out that his flip action camera was borrowed?

Im not too worried about Matamata, and my confidence only gets better looking at that 4mm fiberglass. Just ram into him head on with the weapona t full speed. 1-3 hits should do it.
Typhoon, however, will be no walk in the park. I plan to get the weapon to full RPM and then charge into Typhoon full speed. If my weapon brakes, try to pit it, which will be quite difficult. If it dosent, then back off, regain the RPM i lost, then quickly move back in and do more damage. If his weapon somehow breaks, then Ive pretty much won. Just keep taking peices out of him until hes immobile.
If my weapon dies and his dies, however, then I also have a good chance. Push him with my raer into the pit trigger, then shove him into the pit. Be on the lookout for any tricks Typhoon might try without its weapon though.
All in all, this should be a very exciting match.

Tactics are to go for the side areas. If I can bend in those wheel gaurds I can disable the drive. If I knock it up with the weapon, I could beach it on its side or possibly damage the wheels. He may have a really powerful drive, but his shape is woefully inefficient for such an odd machine as The Disc.

So Mr. JJ we meat again, Mini disco and Le Nez have faced twice before and its 1-1. I think all i can really do is spin up my disc and hope to imboilize it or push it into the put.

Automatic Schmuck vs. Son of Ripper 4 (2)
Well SORs done what it wanted to do this series already, and that was to beat CDM. So it doesnt matter that much if it loses out now (which Ill be surprised if it doesnt).
Really, I dont stand a chance in this one. Ill just have to go for some suicide charges and just hope things work out my way. The Hardox might keep me protected for a while so hopefully mad rams into the spinner might stop it, and from there all I need to do is flip it over and out.
Tails vs. Giga-Byte (15)
Im definately not underestimating the fluffy thing in this match. As soon as possible, clamp it and try to get it down the pit. The flipper is pretty much useless because the sheer size of GigaByte and the fact it can run invertible. The only real danger in this fight is the bar. But if I drive into that and give it a squeeze I should be OK. Afterall, its designed to take knocks from the powerfullest of spinners.
So, drive up to it, clamp it and try to get it down the pit as soon as possible. Avoiding the weapons would be good but neither can really affect me. If things are turning against me, then Ill have to involve putting it into the house robots and shearing it. :)

I have some bad news, my desktop computer has fucked up, meaning I have lost the fights I have written for round 5.
So I have been forced onto my college laptop, which lets say the keyboard sometimes doesnt work, and the mouse roller is annoying to use, hence why until I can at least get my other computer back up working, the fights are delayed until further notice :sad:
But I could get my other computer working as soon as tonight (damn norton antivirus not working properly) and I will do a hard-drive recovery. So all isnt lost :)

Hello and welcome to another update. 8 robots remain, to see which team the NSTT cup is going to ever since the champion was pitted last round. 4 robots will depart company, and 4 will move onto round 6.

Fight 1
Tanto 3 vs. The Disc 5
In the red square, the only real robot left in the competition, Tanto 3.
In the blue square, the most evil and complete robot, The Disc 5.
Matt and Frank shake hands before going up the stairs to join the rest of their teams in the control booths.
The lights are on in the arena, as it is robot fighting time.

Tanto 3 has driven away from the red square, as Matt is looking for a quick ram onto The Disc. Frank has got the weapon of The Disc up to a good speed, as Tanto drives straight into the front of The Disc. The front wedges are underneath The Disc, as the weapon hits the pointed bit forcing the first blood to be drawn. However, the Disc is forced against the wall, but there is nothing Tanto can do, as the disc of the disc has taken a good piece of front wedge with it.
Eventually, the 30 seconds has passed, and Matt reverses Tanto 3 backwards, as Frank starts to power up his weapon again before moving away to attack Tanto as it comes towards The Disc, Frank dodges the attack and lands a good blow on the side plate, knocking Tanto into the air, and another hit from the vertical disc of the disc lands on the side wall, bending the titanium inwards, and onto the wheel. A 3rd hit from Franks machine, and Tanto 3 is in the air, landing on its side.
Matt is trying to do everything to get Tanto 3 off its side, but it has been planted, high and dry.
The ref starts to count out Tanto, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and there goes the red card.

And the two robots are off, Automatic Schmuck has it€™s weapon up to speed at once, and Tom is moving forward to get out into the arena, as Son of Ripper drives straight into the side of Automatic Schmuck, but the bar hits the front wedge before Andy can get it underneath those skirts, as Son of Ripper 4 is pushed away, as Tom turns Automatic Schmuck around and drives over onto Son of Ripper, not giving Andy time to breath, and another class hit onto the side Hardox armour, pushing Son of Ripper away.
Aaron revs up the bar some more, as Tom drives into Son of Ripper, to keep on top of the 2nd seed, as last season€™s runner up. Another hit on the sides, as Automatic Schmuck stays on top of Son of Ripper, as it is hit for a 4th time, taking the battering well, and a 5th hit, as Andy is trying to get into a position to fight back, as he turns and runs. Automatic Schmuck gives chase and catches up with the box-wedge, as Andy has depressed the arena pit button.
Another slam from Automatic Schmuck onto the rear plate, as the first damage is done, as the rear panel comes flying away, sliced in two, as Automatic Schmuck attacks once more, hitting the sides, and causing a large cut, deep inside of Son of Ripper, as Andy turns to try to get his weapon into play, but Automatic Schmuck turns and attacks the side once more, and another hit for good measure. Son of Ripper is having a bad day, after the famous victory in round 4; it is being taken apart by Automatic Schmuck, the newbie, and one of the favourites to win the contest, by a smashing heat performance. Another slam onto the side of Son of Ripper, as Andy€™s machine stops turning, as Tom does another slam to be on the safe side, as Andy is trying to move, but nothing is happening.
A quick hop forward from Son of Ripper, signals another hit from Automatic Schmuck, straight onto the front wedge, bending the flipper plate, as the edge of the bar hits into the edge of the flipper, as Automatic Schmuck spins around but lands the right way up, as Aaron slows down the bar, as Tom turns into a rammer, and getting underneath the side of Son of Ripper, proceeds to push Son of Ripper 4 towards the pit. Nothing that special happens on the journey to the pit, until Son of Ripper drops down 6 feet into a cloud of co2.

Achilles is still using the co2 for this fight, mainly because Alex didn€™t say which set-up he was using and hence he uses the setup for last battle, as both robots zoom out of the coloured squares, and both twist to look for each other.
Achilles is running into Drilla Killa 7, as Richard dodges the attack well, and spins around and comes back onto the attack, as both robots finally come face to face, as Drilla Killa 7 manages to get underneath the side of Achilles and pushes the 23rd seed towards the arena hammer. The hammer comes down, once, twice and three times, as Alex manages to get himself off the top of Drilla Killa 7, and automatically comes back onto the attack, flipping Drilla Killa 7 over onto it€™s back, so that the front wedge is useless, but the rear wedge has finally come into play, but Achilles rams into Drilla Killa 7€™s now upturned front wedge and starts to push the invertible robot, towards the arena wall.
Alex turns quickly to line up a good shot, before loading the cylinders with carbon dioxide, firing that piece of metal upwards, and flipping Drilla Killa 7 straight over the arena wall and crashing down onto the other side of the wall, sitting on the camera track.

As Steve and Andy meet up for probably the last time in NSTT, shaking hands, a quick wink is passed, as they go up the stairs and into their own control booths to join the rest of their teams. Both roboteers press the button as the boxes have been locked.

Activate
Andy gets away to a quick start, with the Jaws of Life open and ready to munch on some fox. Steve starts to spin his weapon up to speed, and moves out to meet Giga-Byte, and cause some damage. Tails is looking like it been hit by a bomb and placed back together, with pieces of super-glue holding some metal down onto the top of the shell where everybody has been having a go at it. Both robots meet up, as Tails causes first blood, but Andy closes the jaws around the rear end of Tails and starts to push the flurry beast towards the pit release button, Andy not wanting to waste time here, because he wants some more time with Sophie, before she comes down south to go to Southampton University. The damage done to Giga-Byte can not be seen from the arena camera, but the pit has been opened for the 3rd time in round 5.
Tails is trying to get away, but Giga-Byte has pointed the front jaws towards the pit, as he hands over controls to Sophie, as Michael is ready to open the jaws, as Andy takes a step back as Sophie drives Giga-Byte over towards the pit, as Michael opens the jaws as Tails falls down the pit and into a pile of co2.

Andy and Sophie have a quick kiss, Steve is looking kinda sad that Tails is out, but all 4 robots have been found for the semi finals, as the only damage to Giga-Byte is a slight cut in the front armour, but that can be fixed with some metal paste.

Somehow I knew that Id be facing the Schmuck. His bar wont be able to damage my disc, so I plan to go weapon to weapon with him, stalling him and knocking him over with the disc. Self righting looks iffy for him, so if I keep doing that I should win. The shape of the wheel guards should keep those safe, but just in case I have some industrial grade rubbish bags here:proud:

Considering Tails is now half-dead (way to go, Davey Boy :lame:), theres not too much I can do. Just stick to the sides of whoever comes careering towards me, whack em a few times with the blade, invert them and attempt a pitting.
