The ground clearance stat of American Oil:
Ground Clearance: 0mm at the front due to extended wedge, and at the sides and back due to torsion-sprung 3.5mm titanium skirts. The springs are wrapped around a foam rod to prevent shock damage. 5mm without skirts.
And I don't see anything in the battle about me losing a skirt...
urm...mabey your wheel got punctured and therefor your robot hobbled, making the front go up and down and allowing me to slot my flipper under :uhoh:

Skirts don't always work...they only improve chances of defeating flippers, not flat out prevent them completely.
Well, ny question is: How did a robot with a 2mm ground clearance at the front with a flipper that doesn't touch the ground flip over American Oil? That's all I'm asking...
However, aside from my personal fight with Jack and CrOoKeD EvO, the fight was excellent.

No, it's okay. I believe I said that the wrong way. What I was referring to was our battle in the annihilator with our robots, and not me being angry at you for something you said. And I'm not angry at you. I'm just wondering how CrOoKeD EvO(The one with 2mm ground clearance, not the fixed one) managed to get under me and flip me.

One robot has gone, who will follow? Theseus goes straight for OID and FLIPS! OID tumbles back to earth though, only to get pushed by Traffic Warden! Meanwhile, Crooked Evo tries to get under Super Gore Septua, but Super Gore Septua's claws are digging in to the Hardox armour! It has more traction than Crooked Evo with those tracks as well, Super Gore Septua. OID is free and gets its disc back up to speed in time to hit Theseus! Revenge for the earlier attack? Theseus turns, but Crooked Evo is free of Super Gore Septua and rams into it! OH! They backed onto the flipper and Theseus FLIPPED it! Crooked Evo self-rights. A common feature on Robot Wars. OID turns to have a go at Theseus again but Traffic Warden comes in from the sides. I don't think it fits in the clamp, though. Traffic Warden can only push OID towards the flame pit! That won't harm them, it's well armoured, OID. Super Gore Septua presses the pit release button. OID escapes Traffic Warden's grasp and clips Crooked Evo on the side! Super Gore Septua enters the fray once more, trying to break the two up. It grabs hold of OID with its claws and pushes it away, into Traffic Warden! They're all after OID here! OID tries to get away, but Super Gore Septua is far too powerful. Theseus focuses on another robot, this time Traffic Warden! Traffic Warden tries to grab from the sides, but Theseus won't fit! Instead, it is pushed by Theseus into Shunt! Traffic Warden escapes as Shunt's axe comes down on Theseus by mistake! Ha ha! Theseus flipped Shunt over! Traffic Warden comes back in to take advantage of this! Why are they picking on the house robots? Why not others like Crooked Evo, who appears to be watching the fight at the moment. They're still mobile and head off towards the direction of Theseus. Elsewhere, Super Gore Septua still has hold of OID? Are the claws stuck in the armour? They're dangerously close to the CPZ, where Matilda waits with her flywheel! Super Gore Septua pulls one way, but OID tries to pull the other. A tug of war here. OUCH! They got too close to Matilda and Super Gore Septua's claw is BUCKLED! OID escapes. Theseus comes in and FLIPS Super Gore Septua into the flywheel! Sparks fly! Super Gore Septua, is it OK? Did that hit from Matilda immobolise it? I wouldn't expect it too, but there you can see the damage! The aerial has come off Super Gore Septua! Matilda must have torn it off when it was flipped into her by Theseus. Refbot comes in. Super Gore Septua seemed to be in command, but not any more. They're being counted out.

3-2-1: Activate!
Some shocks so far in the annihilator. Will there be more? OID spins up to full speed and CLASHES with Crooked Evo! Sparks fly, but Crooked Evo FLIPS! OID tumbles through the air! They try to get away, but Traffic Warden comes in and pushes them towards the wall! It tries to grab hold with the clamps, but OID is too oddly shaped at the front. They escape the grasp of Traffic Warden, OID and now come on the attack of Crooked Evo once more. Theseus joins in and FLIPS Crooked Evo over! Crooked Evo self-rights, only to be pushed by Traffic Warden! Crooked Evo tries to flip it away, only for OID to RIP into the side! A gash is made in the side of Crooked Evo! The first damage we've seen on them so far in this annihilator. Traffic Warden takes advantage and ploughs into them from behind. Crooked Evo is about to be booked by Traffic Warden it would seem, but no! They push it away into the CPZ! Traffic Warden escapes as Growler charges in! Growler is very fast, and you wouldn't want to be in his path. Traffic Warden crashes into Theseus and is FLIPPED! Crumpling back down to earth on its face, and then onto its wheels! OID hits Theseus from behind, making a small tear, but nothing more. OID seems to be doing the most damage here. We haven't seen much of it so far. Theseus turns around to flip Crooked Evo, but Crooked Evo backs away into the pit release button! Down goes the pit and OID...OH! They're on the edge! They back away, though! That was close. Traffic Warden crashes into the back of them, but now it has hold of the rear wedge of OID! Can Traffic Warden grab on and crush the rear wedge? That way, OID can't get under anything! Crooked Evo barges in and FLIPS them both! OID recovers first and chases Crooked Evo back towards the flame pit. OH! They hit Crooked Evo with the disc and something went flying off! Part of Crooked Evo is exposed! It was part of the front panel! Crooked Evo damaged pretty badly now. They need to avoid OID if they can, but OID hits them again! Another tear! The last ten seconds count down. It will go to the judges. Crooked Evo comes in for one last bash at OID and FLIPS! OID crashes back down on Traffic Warden who pushes it towards Cassius Chrome.
Cease!
All four robots were still mobile. The judges will make their decision based on Style, Control, Damage and Aggression.

OID spins up to full speed and heads straight for Theseus. They need to avoid that flipper, its the most powerfullest we've seen so far. Traffic Warden crashes into OID from the side, but it won't fit in the clamps like that. Theseus collides with the two and FLIPS! Both robots go over and crash down to earth. OID turns around quickly to hit Theseus, only to be flipped again! Traffic Warden presses the pit release button. Down goes the pit. OID's disc is spinning again and it hits Theseus on the side! A small gash, but OID rebounds and swings to hit again! Theseus taking some damage. We saw OID at its best in the last fight, I thought. Traffic Warden comes in to stop the disc with its clamps, but OID slips from its grasp. Theseus rams into Traffic Warden and FLIPS IT! Traffic Warden is invertible, so that won't harm it. OID...OH! They landed a solid hit on the back of Theseus then with the disc! Sparks fly. Traffic Warden rams into Theseus also and tries to grab it. Theseus is too big, unfortunatly, and it backs into Traffic Warden, pushing it towards the PIT! OH! It's on the edge, Traffic Warden, but getting away. OID comes in and WHACKS Theseus ALMOST into the pit! Another gash. Theseus is on the edge! They escape as OID comes in for another slam and almost drives itself in! Traffic Warden backs away, into Matilda! That was bad driving by Steven McGregor, at the controls of Traffic Warden! Matilda turns around to face Theseus who tries to FLIP her! Traffic Warden gets away, crashing into OID and pushing IT towards the pit! VERY close, OID! They escape. And WHAT was that? Something flew across the arena! It's part of Theseus's flipper! Matilda must have ripped it off with her flywheel! The front of Theseus's flipper has come off, and the rest looks badly buckled. OID, one wheel seems to be over the edge of the pit! They can't escape, and Traffic Warden could come in now to push them in! OHH! Down goes OID! They looked very impressive at this point, but no furthur will they go in this annihiliator. Theseus has taken MAJOR damage and I wonder if they'll be able to repair it? Traffic Warden spins in victory. They go through, along with Theseus.

Theseus took major damage from the house robots in that fight. They'll have to work extra hard if they are to fight against Traffic Warden in the final.

Theseus took one helluva beating in that last bout. Hopefully this means he'll be that little bit weaker for the Final. The flipper could be a big problem, which is why I want to approach this battle ala Gravity VS Tough as Nails. Avoid Theseus' front, attack from the sides or the rear, grapple the bugger and never let go. My pushing power is top-notch, so I should be able to overpower him. From there, feed Theseus to the House Robots or dump it in the pit ASAP.

Have Theseus repaired the damage caused by Matilda and OID earlier? We'll wait and see as Traffic Warden SLAMS into the side of it! Pushing them towards the flame pit! Theseus gets away and FLIPS! The flipper is working! It missed Traffic Warden though. Samuel Park at the controls of Theseus wants to land a solid flip on Traffic Warden and perhaps get it out of the arena. Traffic Warden swings around to come at the back of Theseus now. Theseus counters this and tries to flip Traffic Warden again! Traffic Warden just avoids the flipper and tries to clamp the front of Theseus. Theseus flips itself free, but Traffic Warden is relentless! Theseus took a beating in the last fight, but at the moment, they are evening the score, FLIPPING Traffic Warden again! Traffic Warden is invertible so that won't harm them. Now it spins around, trying to grab hold of Theseus again, but Theseus slides under and THROWS them against the wall! Traffic Warden, can it get down from there? The wheels are spinning, but Steven McGregor, at the controls, cannot escape! Theseus comes in? Will it get it out? NO! Traffic Warden crashes onto the top of the angle grinder! They're pinned and cannot get down! Refbot comes in. Theseus RAMS into Traffic Warden and frees it! Traffic Warden away and crashing into Refbot! Theseus comes in and flips again! Traffic Warden lands on the edge of the CPZ! Theseus pushes past them instead of pushing them in and in comes Dead Metal! He grapples hold of Theseus and the saw starts cutting into the Hardox armour! Maybe not cutting, but creating sparks! Theseus tries to get away, and they do. Traffic Warden presses the pit release button. Down goes the pit and Theseus ALMOST backs in! Traffic Warden pushes them away from the edge, but they drive up Theseus's flipper. OH! Theseus almost got Traffic Warden into the pit! This is very close! Theseus doesn't seem to be moving freely anymore. I wonder why? Did Dead Metal do something to its drive? Refbot comes in. Theseus seems only to be able to go in a circle, and DANGEROUSLY near the pit! Traffic Warden nudges them closer towards the edge! Theseus is trapped! I don't think they have full control. What a shame. Started off so strongly in this annihilator, Thesues, but they are being counted out.

Tornado: Steve? How about we stop this big spinning thingy right now? Use the anti-Razer cage once again and repeat the earlier tactics I did to Typhoon II in the grand final. Let Steve relax his bot at the side of the arena, while I do the work.
Not sure which version of X-Terminator this is, so I propose to whoever has control of Firestorm that we flip it the hell over. :P I'll go with the flipper set-up, and try and get X-Terminator over onto his back. :P
typhoon: i also offer a team up to steve-o :) spin up and just trash everything thats remotly tornado-ish, and if the frame happens to get in my way, heck just smash it off :P if this fails then (hopefully steve teams up with me) let T.W go in and grab him, il open the pit and steve can push him down, if he dosent team up with me.....just spin and hit things :P

They came third in the main series. A low wedge with a powerful flipper that has thrown countless robots out of the arena. It only has 2WD though, and could be pushed around easily.
From Toronto, in Canada, Macduff the 4th!
The reigning champions! Can they become the All Stars Champion as well? They have interchangable weapons and 6WD, which should make them unstoppable. The wheels are exposed, though.
From Hereford, in Herefordshire, X-Terminator!
They reached the heat final in the main series. The weapon is a destructive spinning disc. It's well armoured, but it has no self-righting mechanism.

This is going to be mayhem, I can tell you! Macduff the 4th has the flipper for this fight, so we'll see what it can do. Firestorm V heads straight for X-Terminator, who has the spinning disc up to full speed. Macduff the 4th CRASHES into the side of them and FLIPS! X-Terminator on its side! They self-right. Firestorm V tries to push Macduff the 4th away, but the champion swings around and FLIPS them up, but not over! Firestorm V backs away as X-Terminator comes in to face Macduff the 4th again. They met in the heat final last time, and X-Terminator wants revenge! Macduff the 4th slips around the side and flips X-Terminator over again! X-Terminator self-rights, but Firestorm V comes in and flips them onto their top! Ha ha! The disc of X-Terminator drags it along into the angle grinder. They won't go far now, I think. That has always been a weakness for X-Terminator in Robot Wars, the high ground clearance. And now, Marlon Prichard and Martijn Benschop can only watch as Firestorm V flips them again! Will X-Terminator go out of the arena? I don't think so. They never really stood a chance in this fight. Back on its top again, X-Terminator. They're going nowhere. In comes Refbot to count them out.

Sir Killalot comes in and grabs hold of X-Terminator. Firestorm V meanwhile, flips Macduff the 4th over! Macduff the 4th hits the pit release and OH! Firestorm V drove into the pit! That doesn't matter. X-Terminator is on the drop zone! What is it today? It's a fridge!

Down it comes and it SMASHES onto X-Terminator! What a shame for them. Dead Metal comes in and pushes them towards the pit! Down it goes, on top of Firestorm V! A great fight, but X-Terminator progess no further here.

They've won the Annihilator. Can they win the All Stars Championships? It's an odd box shaped robot with two clamps at the front. It's well armoured, but has a high ground clearance.
From Huntingdon, in Cambridgeshire, Tornado!
Runners up this series, former champions of Robot Wars. They have interchangable weapons. For this fight, they'll be using the anti crusher frame with spinning disc. It is unreliable, though.
From Edinburgh, in Scotland, Typhoon II!
Former champions also, but they came fourth this series. It has a destructive spinning shell with four cutting blades. But if the shell is stopped, it can be flipped easily and has no self-righting mechanism.

Typhoon II and Tornado spin up to full speed. Traffic Warden goes straight for Tornado though and as they come together, the disc makes contact with Traffic Warden and the sparks fly! Traffic Warden pushes Tornado into the angle grinder, but they escape! Typhoon II seems to be staying out of the way here, only to be shoved by Tornado! The sparks fly once again as their weapons collide. Tornado pushes Typhoon II towards the CPZ! The anti crusher frame has done a good job of protecting it so far, Tornado. Typhoon II gets away as Sir Killalot comes in and grabs hold of Tornado's frame! Oh dear! Typhoon II isn't spinning, and Traffic Warden takes advantage, shoving the former champion into the pit release button. But the main worry here is Tornado, who is being pulled by Sir Killalot towards the pit! Sir Killalot shouldn't do that! Refbot, go in and sort it out! Sir Killalot lets Tornado go anyway, but how much damage did Tornado take? The frame looks twisted. Typhoon II isn't spinning, and neither is the disc on Tornado. They come together again and Tornado pushes Typhoon II towards the flame pit. The former champions, with Gary Cairns and Jack Orr have a real fight on to regain their status here! Typhoon II is away from the flame pit, only to be pushed by Traffic Warden. Towards the pit! OH! Typhoon II just avoided it, but Traffic Warden is on the edge! JUST escaping! Tornado comes in to push Typhoon II once again and OOH! This is so close, as Typhoon was nearly in the pit again and Tornado, what has Tornado done!? They've driven over the pit! Traffic Warden smashes into the back of them but Tornado won't go down. It won't go down because the frame is keeping them from going in! Tornado is hanging on the edge here! The judges look on. I don't think Tornado is out, but Mr Psycho comes in. He brings his hammer down and OOH! Ha ha. Tornado still won't go in! The last ten seconds count down. Refbot can't count Tornado out because there isn't enough time, but this hasn't happened before in Robot Wars! The judges will have to decided. What a fight!

Controversy in the warzone. Tornado was hanging over the pit, but the frame stopped them from going in. The judges have decided, that Tornado was not in the pit, but is was immobolised for more than 30 seconds! So Tornado goes out and Traffic Warden and Typhoon II go through!

This battle was very controversial, and I'm not too sure of it myself. If, in Razer VS Tornado (S6 Final), Razer had left Tornado over the pit, would Tornado have been in the pit? (There wouldn't have been enough time to count it out or deem it immobile). Feel free to rant and rave about it as much as you like. It's been a stressful halfterm, I'm afraid
There's already been enough talk about it, just like there has about the S7 Grand Final. No more needs to be said really.

They recover and spin up again, but Macduff the 4th doesn't want to let that happen and pushes Typhoon II into another wall! The former champions are taking an almighty beating in the All Stars Championship. They escape Macduff the 4th's grasp and spin up again. Typhoon II is very destructive, but not so far. They crash into the front of Macduff the 4th. OH! Something fell off Macduff the 4th! It was part of the scoop! That doesn't stop Macduff the 4th, who crashes into Typhoon II again and pushes them over the flame pit! Into the wall, Typhoon II, but they escape, only to bump in Macduff the 4th again, who push them into the CPZ! They've gotten under Typhoon II now! If Typhoon II goes over, that will be it! Can the reigning champion take out the former champion? OHH! Growler came charging in and he CRASHES into Typhoon II, knocking it onto it's side! Macduff the 4th backs out of the CPZ. Kody Kunz, at the controls of Macduff the 4th, knows Typhoon II has not long left in Robot Wars: The All Stars. Refbot comes in. This is a surprise. Typhoon II is being counted out.

They have been pinned against the angle grinder and cannot get down. This is a shock.

Firestorm V presses the pit release button as Matilda comes in with her flywheel. OOH! Traffic Warden goes flying! They're back on their wheels, but its too late. Sgt Bash grabs hold of them, but Firestorm V FLIPS Sgt Bash over! Firestorm V has had a history of attacking the house robots, at the risk of damage! Matilda comes in and she lifts Firestorm V up with her tusks! Matilda isn't happy! Firestorm V gets free and FLIPS Matilda! Oh dear! Ha ha! Firestorm V now after Traffic Warden again and towards the pit. The clamps grab once more at Firestorm V in a pitiful attempt to fight back but no longer. In the pit they go! Firestorm V goes through to the All Stars Final!

Who will be the All Stars Champion? Macduff the 4th, with the forks on for this fight, heads straight for Firestorm V. They beat them in the grand final, but will Firestorm V get its revenge. Avoiding the forks, and now swinging under Macduff the 4th, but they were too fast for Firestorm V. Firestorm V pursues and gets under this time! But once again, Macduff the 4th escapes. Turning around now, the machine from Kody Kunz, and getting the forks under the side of Firestorm V! Lifting it up, and now they have Firestorm V in their grasp. Pushing them towards Cassius Chrome! Firestorm V gets under and tries to FLIP Cassius Chrome! That isn't wise, because now Mr Psycho has arrived! OOH! Down comes the hammer, onto Cassius Chrome's head! Firestorm V lucky to avoid that, and now back into the arena and after Macduff the 4th. Getting under this time and flipping it up, Firestorm V! Macduff the 4th escapes and swings around, but Firestorm V is away! This is an action packed final so far! Now Macduff the 4th has Firestorm V on the forks again and lifts it up! Can Firestorm V get away? Macduff the 4th pushing Firestorm V towards the pit! OH! Firestorm V fell off the forks and as Macduff the 4th kept going, they flipped it over! That won't bother Macduff the 4th, it is invertible. A close battle this. Firestorm V gets under the side of Macduff the 4th and tries to flip again, but once more, Macduff the 4th gets the forks under and Firestorm V, all it can do is flip at nothing. Pushing them, very close towards the pit, Macduff the 4th! Can Firestorm V hang on? DOWN they go! It's all over for Firestorm V. Macduff the 4th is the All Star Champion!
