the best thing I can say to you now is take 1 or 2 of your old favourites, improve them/make them more realistic, and then look for some more help HERE viewtopic.php?f=201&t=2107&start=1020 to end up with 1 or 2 top notch fighting machines to enter here and there

I've still kept many of my old stats, but there are some I'm no longer keeping/changing. I've made changes to Heyght, mainly in the design description because it's hard to understand but also in the design in general, Inferno is now called Volcano and is slightly quicker and has a bar-typed support across the disc that acts as a Tornado Mer like self-righter :proud: and The Rock has now become Supersonic after the Oasis track of the same name, and is a new design but with some similarities, so watch this space :crazy:

From Geddinton, runner-up and 2nd seed...Achilles!
One of the most feared box-wedge flippers out there, and it has proven to be so with its pneumatic/hydraulic capabilities in every FRA tournament it's competed in! Extremely powerful drive, tough armour, proven to get under the lowest ground clearances...the name is misleading, as there are no real Achilles heels to discern, here! :proud: He's ready to go one step further!
C&B1: Didn't compete.
C&B2: Lost a judges decision against 6th seeded Die-Ceratops Re-Invertus.
C&B3: Made it all the way to the Grand Final, and in the quite climactic battle, it just barely lost the judges decision (it was even until the damage category, which he lost by a point) to 27th seed Disco 5, who was crowned champion.
From Merthyr Tydfil, Wales...Dervish: The l33t Generation!
Will beat you up into whipped cream with the 1500rpm eggbeater-style weaponry in the middle of the two wheel-pods, which are powered by MagMotors on 36 volts. The pods are made of Hardox and come to an angled point to prevent it from resting on its side...but stop the beater, and you can ram it around all day, it hasn't got good pushing power...
C&B1: Didn't compete.

C&B3: (as Dervish: Generation X) Met an untimely demise in its Heat Final, when 19th seed Wedge Devolution pushed it into a CPZ and the house robot Triple Big Mac bashed in one of Dervish's wheels.
Achilles (2) will be using the pneumatics this time around. :)

The house robots today are Hexadecimal with the 360º lifting spikes and cutting blade underneath, and Exa-Gore-Ic Evo with the massive horizontal jaws and punching spike!

ACTIVATE!
Achilles blasts out of its starting spot, eager to justify its silver medal! Dervish, in return, heads straight for him, the beater spinning madly! Unfortunately Achilles slams straight into him and one of the wheel pods gets in the way of the beater, Achilles hitting the pod with the flipper, and wastes no time in tossing it! The gyroscopic Dervish seems to merely float a bit before coming back down, suffering very little damage/recoil! Achilles does not let up and rams into him, this time taking a good-sized blow from the beater, but even so it glances off the wedge and sends Dervish backward! Achilles' great torque is helping it here, but as it gets Dervish close to the wall it cannot get enough leverage to toss Dervish out, and merely contents itself with throwing Dervish sideways, end-over-end across the arena floor! :proud: The beater-bot finally comes to a rest, but before Dervish can get its bearings back, it's rammed again by the seemingly unstoppable force that is Achilles, and is thrown...straight into Hexadecimal who Achilles then flies into, but is penetrated by the spikes! Hex tips them up, but Achilles fires the flipper, jolting himself loose, and backs off, as Dervish...oh dear! Well the beater design certainly doesn't help it there! Two of the spikes went through the open space of the beater, pinning it in place as Hex lifts Dervish completely off the ground and into the air! But now two of the surrounding spikes conflict with Dervish's main body, so Hex cannot fully take advantage...but Achilles certainly will! The 2nd seed slams its rear end across the arena into the pit release button, and we know all too well what happens after that! Hexadecimal twirls around like a psychopath, the pinioned Dervish helpless to do anything about it! And as Hex spins...the spikes lower! Dervish is flung to the middle of the arena, much further than the pursuing Achilles anticipated! Furious, Dervish spins its beater back up and manages to sneak past the box-wedge, and delivers a nice hit to the side!
CRASH!
Achilles is overturned, and there's a great dent in that 5mm titanium side, but Achilles self-rights...right in the path of Dervish's beater again! CLANG! Achilles is nearly popped over again, but falls back onto its wheels, and Dervish can't hit it with a stopped beater! Now it's Achilles' turn to get angry, as it turns and shoves Dervish back! The shove turns into a full force pulverizing against the arena wall, Achilles not bothering to use the flipper here as Dervish bounces away, the arena wall groaning from the impact! Dervish skitters away but is closely pursued by Achilles, and it fails to dodge aside in time...as Achilles rams into the beater-bot and with one great shove sends it into the pit, followed shortly thereafter by itself! :proud:

The l33t Generation sure looks LOLzy, as Dervish is backspaced from a Round 2 headline again! :proud:

From Oswego in the USA...Lethal Weapon!
A robot that lives up to its name! :proud: It's a skirted box with a curved front, which holds a 30kg spinning disc that can produce very well over 100kJ! 3mm Ti/V alloy armour is decent, and 4WD with A28-400 MagMotors powering them are decent as well. However, tight dimensions could have it seeing massive manoeuvrability problems.

From Cardiff, Wales...Apocalypse II!
A low Storm II-type box with a rounded rear and a 4-bar flipper capable of massive power, but the supply is extremely limited at only 10 flips. Mainly clad in Hardox armour, and has a powerful drivetrain. Barbs on top help keep them firebrands in check as well. :proud: That said, it can be flipped, itself. Easily too.

Apocalypse is out immediately, but the very powerful disc climbs to supersonic speeds just as immediately! But...really, now! Liam directs Apocalypse to crash right into the disc!
CRASH!!!
But thanks to the speed of Lethal Weapon's disc, Apocalypse gets tossed anyway, despite the angled front! And has a nasty scar to display the sheer strength of that disc, the flipper showing it off for all to see! Lethal Weapon however got tossed by the blow, and is near the wall! Apocalypse speeds back in to get rid of Lethal Weapon, but he's already gotten away from the wall! Apocalypse crashes into him anyway, but wanting to conserve power merely pushes him into Shunt's CPZ! Shunt brings down that feared axe...but what's the fear about, per se? Being a diamond-edged axe, it should have done more than a mere paint chipping! But that's what's happened, and an outraged Shunt proceeds to hammer it mercilessly! That is, until Lethal Weapon manages to sneak away from both it and Apocalypse, and spin its disc back up! Liam gets back on the attack, with a slam to Lethal Weapon's visage!
CRASH!!!
However, the same area is carved into again, and gaining some purchase by doing that, Apocalypse is flung across the arena as much as its adversary! The front of the flipper is now very badly scarred, and will it work properly now? Lethal Weapon is spinning its disc back up to speed again, but its movement already seems hindered! Perhaps the shockproofing inside isn't enough to cushion the massive blows! Apocalypse comes back in, but wants to avoid the disc now and swings around to Lethal Weapon's side, but as it tries to ram it, Tony spins Lethal Weapon, slowly, but enough for the disc to catch the front corner of Apocalypse II!
CRASH!!!
More spinning action, and afterwards Apocalypse looks to be the slower one, losing much of its former momentum! Lethal Weapon looks a bit sluggish still, but now goes on the offensive...but first it has to spin its disc up! :proud: Apocalypse wheels in to try and stop the disc but now Lethal Weapon is (slightly) faster, and moments later that disc is definitely back at full speed! Too late, Apocalypse goes in anyway, and as Lethal Weapon bites in, Apocalypse fires the flipper!
CRASH!!!
Oh my! Lethal Weapon got some big air! And crashes harshly onto its wheels...is that it?! Lethal Weapon seems to have stopped moving! But Apocalypse...also isn't moving! It's been battered into submission, with a massive crevasse in the flipper plate! Both robots are knocked out...I think you know what this means!

So the heats end! And this battle's just beginning! Achilles roars in again, and straight into the disc of Lethal Weapon, who barely gets to half-speed when the 2nd seed bulldozes him into the wall! That's 5cm of solid Hardox, folks, as you well know, and being mashed against it at speeds of 18mph cannot be pleasant! None too pleasant is the path of trajectory, either, as Lethal Weapon is sent reeling from the collision and bounces onto the arena spike, which pops him up and stuns him...all for Achilles to take advantage of! A burst of speed sees Achilles at the rear of Lethal Weapon, and the disc is spinning up! Tony tries to turn his machine around and whack Achilles with the disc, but the lifter of Achilles pops up slightly, raising Lethal Weapon's wheels completely off the ground! Now in complete control, and with an extended running start, Achilles hurls the foe it has trapped, straight into the arena wall, full-force!
CRASH!!!!
OUCH! I think everybody heard that! That was a cataclysmic collision! Oh yes...definitely cataclysmic...for Lethal Weapon, as it's bounced away! While it is still moving, the disc is not! It's completely bent downwards! And I'd say the hopes of Lethal Weapon advancing to the Series Semi-Finals have been bent...out of shape, that is! Achilles comes in again, Lethal Weapon too slow to avoid it, and lifts Lethal Weapon into the air, with another great SLAM into the arena wall...it's stacked, pinned in there...oh dear! The skirts don't prevent the main body from being stranded...so I think that that's game! ...but Achilles comes in again! The lifter is under...and they're out! Lifted out of the arena, Lethal Weapon crashes down, and Novastorm won't have a brother to join it in, because Achilles moves on!

Seeing as a completely fudged up by predictions for that last heat, I'll have another go here, and hopefully it will work out better.
THE CRASH & BURN TOURNAMENT 4 SERIES SEMI-FINALS
Semi-Final 1
Sheer Heart Attack 2 (14) vs. Venus Fly Trap (11) - having a look back at the designs, I think that Steve has it much easier in this fight; to stop the drum he just can drive in and get under and push SHA2 around and because of the sloped sides, he won't be able to effectively flip and damage Venus Fly Trap. In short, the 11th seed is going on.
Orka RV (6) vs. Novastorm - Having a look at both these stats, I am unable to call it -Novastorm has the more power and speed, but Orka has a btter weapon and maybe better control. If Orka gets underneath and gets a good shot in, Orka will win.
Achilles (2) vs. Magnitude - Again, another hard one to call. Given the power and torque given off by Achilles, I believe that he will get underneath and do literally whatever he wants.
The May Tracks Has You (13) vs. Ge5orce (4) - Dammit, another hard one to predict! :lame: Ge5orce is much more likely to get a good hold on May Tracks, therefore May Tracks is going OOTA...but I may be wrong :proud:
Semi-Final 2
Under Pressure (9) vs. Gabriel IV - This match I belief poses a greater challenge for Under Pressure, where Joey can simply drive underneath and have a greater chance of throwing him obout the ring. Joey FTW :proud:
Wedge Devolution (10) vs. Black Panther - Depends who gets under who first...but I honestly couldn't call it.
Ringwraith vs. The Crashing Bore 2 - Ringwriath is the contestant least likely to get caught in that mousetrap weapon and in turn can constantly hit TCB and damge him for JD points and a possible KO.
Mobile Failure vs. Disco 5 (1) - Disco 5 to win - the Titanium armour may hold up for a little bit, but not for very long I don't think.

Orka RV (6) vs. Novastorm
I've gotta give Novastorm the edge, Novastorm is okay, strong spinner, these are 2 decent robots really but not superb, should be an interesting fight.
Achilles (2) vs. Magnitude
Two strong flippers, I will predict Achilles to live up to its reputation but it may just be whoever gets the OOTA first.
The May Tracks Has You (13) vs. Ge5orce (4)
Read the above really, Ge5orce to get the OOTA first is what I predict.
Semi-Final 2
Wedge Devolution (10) vs. Black Panther
Rematch of a MN1 semi, Black Panther and his dual weaponry get my vote here... barely.
Ringwraith vs. The Crashing Bore 2
Pfffffffffffffffffffffffff, 2 interesting bots, I think Ringwraith is hard to grapple for the Bore, but who knows.
Mobile Failure vs. Disco 5 (1)
The champ to have a slight edge and knock Mobile Failure around a bit, will be interesting to see where this goes.

1. Sheer Heart Attack 2 (14) VS VENUS FLY TRAP II (11)
Sheer Heart Attack is an awkward shape to most other robots, but it's prime grabbing material for Venus. Plough straight into the drum to stop it spinning and slide underneath. Ram the tracked seed into the nearest wall so I can properly lift 'n' clamp it. From there, head for the pit and dump it down.
2. Orka R.V. (6) VS Novastorm
Orka to get in a lucky flip for the win.
3. Achilles (2) VS Magnitude
Achilles ploughs into its fellow flipper and goes through via pitting.
4. Ge5orce (4) VS The May Tracks Has You (13)
This all comes down to who gets in that all-important lucky flip. Close, but I think the May Tracks might just be able to sneak a win.

From Enschede, the Netherlands...former champion, 14th seed...Sheer Heart Attack 2!
Unchanged since last wars, the 30kg titanium drum connects the drivetrains, the tracks have titanium wedges at the rear, very good drive power, very good weaponry but those tracks looks very much exposed for my liking. He's not Crash & Burn 2 champ for nothing, though, and he's ready to take his crown back! ;)
C&B1: Didn't compete.
C&B2: (as Sheer Heart Attack) Defeated Quocunque Jeceris Stabit, The Deer, Aneurysm, Cyclone Force 2.5, Flank Attack: DT, SUNCUST, and finally Tempest Evil-er-oution to claim the crown!
C&B3: Very surprising loss as, after an intense struggle, Ge5orce managed to pit the reigning champ in its Heat Final.
C&B4 Hit List: Dendroaspis, Holepunch 2.0

From Glasgow, Scotland, seeded number 11...Venus Fly Trap!
Through Team Bravehart's looking glass is a Hardox-armoured wedge with prongs and a lifting plate powered by an S28-400 MagMotor, designed to grapple opponents and bring them wherever it pleases...versatile, somewhat powerful, and nippy, but the weapon is rather exposed and so is the ground clearance...could we have a withered 11th seed on the horizon? Or could he bite and snap his way to the crown?

C&B3: Went down the pit in its Heat Final thanks to current champ Disco 5.

From Onehouse in Suffolk, seeded number 6...Orka RV!
Has competed in every war thus far. Now resembles a box-wedge shape like Comengetorix, with a narrow flipper that can right it. Runs invertible, has titanium armour and decent driving ability, but with 6 wheels it could be hard to turn. Much different than MK4 in previous wars. The Team Dinowarrior nuke to getting that C&B trophy!
C&B1: (as Orka MK4) Went to the final four, but was ousted at the last by a pitting from eventual silver medalist Clawdius Decimus Murderous. Beat Aneruysm in the play-off to get the bronze.
C&B2: (as Orka MK4) [seeded 3rd] Shock Round 1 exit when Voltronic and Liar ganged up on it and eventually Liar sent it over the fence!
C&B3: (as Orka MK4) Met more success than last time, but was taken out by Shane Swan's Envy in a close JD.
C&B4 Hit List: Maximum Genocide, Dantu

Basically vague stats, this invertible wedge, with reverse wedge in back, has Hardox armour, 4WD powered by 4 S28 Mags, and many, many spikes around the main body. The wedges are split into V shapes to possibly get under opposition easier and halt the oncoming approach of spinning weapons, but...an unknown ground clearance and batteries? And it seems very underweight...but he got here for a reason, so he may still have the spark to ignite the fury within! :proud:
C&B1: Didn't compete.
C&B2: (as Novastorm 2) After taking a ride through with The Disc 5 after Mass Disctruction Revolution got taken out, was OOTA'd after an attack from Liar 2 sent him into a CPZ and the house robots took it from there.

From Pontefract, England...Magnitude!
Not the only flipper here, but certainly dangerous enough to be feared amongst them! At the front of the flipper, but seperate from it, is a small lifter to help get underneath opponents, so it's ve-ry dangerous. It also has good armour and a decent drivetrain, but like every other pneumatic weapon out there, that flipper will eventually run out of power. Let's see how this newcomer will fare!

From Gainsborough, seeded number 13...The May Tracks Has You!
13, unlucky for some. Unlucky the last few seasons too...it's a thin, tracked Hardox box wedge with barbs on the wedge to keep them there...until the full-pressure flipper launches them! It's got decent LEM drive that's undervolted for more control, but it might lose in a pushing match. It also has a strip of metal on the top to stop robots going right over it. Going for a fourth season and its current 2nd semi-final, could it go all the way here?
C&B1: (as Enter the May Tracks) Reached the Series Final, but was disposed of in the quarter-finals into the pit by Clawdius Decimus Murderous.
C&B2: (as Enter the May Tracks, seeded 7th) Suffered a similar fate at the disc of BIACS-LE in its heat final.
C&B3: (seeded 25th) Launched into the pit by Nitro-Gene 5.0, again in the heat final.

GeFiveOrce...what a mouthful! And what a flipperful if you get stuck on that wide wedge, for you'll get sent flying ala Axe Awe vs. Wheely Big Cheese! :proud: Hardox body and titanium wheel guards help keep away nasty spinners from the internals and it has decent 16mph speed, but may prove a bit uncontrollable. It has average pushing power, too. This isn't the first it reached the semis, though, and he's looking to go further than before!

C&B3: Reached the second round of the semis, only to fall to Disco 5, the current reigning champion.

You'll know all about this Tough-As-Nails inspired machine by now. Two sets of claws, one wedges and cancels the opponent's traction, the other pierces and makes a mess of things. 3.5mm Hardox protects just about everything, including the 5mm titanium maiin body. However the set-up isn't quite as lethal inverted and it's quite cumbersome, but here it is, in the semis! And he's got a firm grip on his goal!

From Pontefract, England...Gabriel IV!
Now HERE'S something different...a triangular pyramid with a front hinged flipper. Has a front nose cone for getting in underneath opponents (with two spikes to serve as thwackers), Hardox armour, C40-300 MagMotors, and removable skirts, but control may be an issue. He was controlled enough though to get this far with his brother Magnitude, will Team Picus claim the coveted C&B trophy?

From Glasgow, Scotland, seeded number 10...Wedge Devolution!
It is your basic wedge...or is it? 4th time competing, it has Hardox armour, skirts at the sides and rear, above-average drivetrain which is good, a powerful rear-hinged flipper with frontal scoop, so a good all-rounder here. Last time it had its best run of the entire competition, and this time he quite looks to surpass it, but can it go all the way here?
C&B1: Shocked out in Round 2 when, after flipping over the house robots, Terrorhurtz managed to outlast it and beat it in a judges decision.
C&B2: Went a step further but again got beaten in a judges decision, this time by semi-finalist Axeon 3.0.
C&B3: (seeded 19th) Another step above its previous foothold, however this time it lost by a pitting, courtesy of Paralyzation 2.

Basically a really low 180 degree wedge with a front flipper and powerful pneumatic axe; rear prongs help stabilize it when it uses the axe. Fast, decently powerful, well-armoured in the front, but very hard to control at top speed and the weapon power will run out sooner or later. It and Wedge Devolution have quite the rivalry, Black Panther prevailing in one of the regional majors, and Wedge Devolution getting revenge in the last C&B. Who'll prevail here? Black Panther looks determined...

C&B2: (as Black Panther Queen) Ripped apart in Round 1 by Infusion.
C&B3: Again fell at the first hurdle when 19th seed Wedge Devolution flipped it over the fence.

Old is new again...or rather, the veteran is new to the tournament! A Barberous-inspired design, extremely powerful with the 30mm Duralumin drum...shaped like Pussycat€™s blade. Very unusual, but effective! It€™s not going to push worth a damn here, but it does spin-up very fast and has a decent drive speed though, so hide under the covers, children! :proud:

From Gainsborough...The Crashing Bore 2!
Remake of THE oldest vapourbot on the circuit! This box-wedge is compact in dimensions, and slightly similar to Mousetrap with a spiked trap powered by two LEM130s, and a lifting wedge. The drill also returns, with 50kgs of downforce to run you through. It has high ground clearance under the skirts, though, but it's still powerful, tough, very lively after all these years. :proud: Could Crashing Bore stun the crowd with a tournament win here?
C&B1: Absolutely destroyed by Mass Disctruction Ultimate 3.1 in Round 1.
C&B2: Again got beaten by one of Aaron Knight's bots, this time by eventual grand finalist Infusion, in Round 2.
C&B3: Didn't compete.

I daresay, is this reverse psychology in the works? :proud: Boxy, angly, LEM130 and 4WD, skirts, has powerful axe that can self-right, and reasonably tough armour. It'll run out of axe power as with all pneumatic axes, but that won't hinder its pushing ability one bit. This newcomer really hasn't lived up to its name, to be quite frank, and could go all the way.

And here he is! It's time to panic at the disco, because this robot's king of the dance floor! :proud: Electric powered drive and weapon producing 31.5 kilojoules, more than Hypno-Disc of Robot Wars fame, and titanium armour. It's mildly nippy at 12.5mph and the skirts around it are torsion sprung to deflect wedge attacks away...it's a case of Saturday night fever! :proud: He looks to defend his crown, and by golly he's got the power to do so!

So it begins! And from the start we have the former champion...sneaking around! It doesn't look like Sheer Heart Attack is going to chance being clamped! But Venus Fly Trap has only one goal for this match: CLAMP! And so we have Venus Fly Trap turning to face the former champ with the extended plate. I don't think Sheer Heart Attack is going to get past that plate, mind you...and it doesn't. The McGregor clamper wins out...but the drum hits the supports on the sides of the plate! Has that caused damage? Only glancing off, surely, but now Martijn is in trouble! They've been drawn into the trap! Venus Fly Trap heads for the arena wall...possibly to gobble up Sheer - oh! Now we can see...the drum has indeed caused damage! One of the little barbs you see there, on the front plate, is totally chipped off! That will count against Venus Fly Trap should this go to a judges decision, but it doesn't look like it will! Because Venus Fly Trap have the former champion up against the arena wall, they are clamping, and they are grasping!

Sheer Heart Attack desperately revving the track, trying to gain some purchase here - and they do!! Against the arena wall, actually! And that has popped Sheer Heart Attack, drum-first, out from the clutches of its adversary! Wa-hey! Sheer Heart Attack rams into Venus Fly Trap from the rear, using its own rear wedges on the track tails you see there...and Venus Fly Trap still has the plate lifted, but the supports are stuck in there and pinning Venus Fly Trap in there, it's completely stuck against the wall! There's no mobility touching the ground and the wedged Braveheart machine, folding its plate back down, can only wait as the drum weaponry of Sheer Heart Attack reaches its maximum speed! Ah! The actual srimech on the back of Venus Fly Trap has fired, do you see it? A little...arm on the back helps it right itself if put on the backside, but it's of little use here, because they are really pegged in there, and any moment now surely Sheer Heart Attack is going to turn around - they do!
CRASH!
And BAM! Venus Fly Trap...I must say those supports do help! The hit is brutal, but although there is slight damage to the Hardox body armour, it wasn't tossed over as feared! Of course that means more damage is caused to the internals of the machine, but Venus Fly Trap has been freed! And it's quite mobile, turning around and getting that plate into play again! Sheer Heart Attack backs off as quick as it can, and the drum is nearly at speed when Venus Fly Trap smashes into it straight on - and there, clearly, goes a tooth! And another! Within a second, the 14th seed has shorn the 11th seed's teeth off! He's now missing 3 on the left side, and that won't do if Steve wants to trap his adversary now! Venus Fly Trap however continues pushing into Sheer Heart Attack, and...aha! Some crafty driving there from our very own Martijn Benschop, as Sheer Heart Attack makes a nice reverse j-hook over the support of Venus Fly Trap and is away! Nicely done, and his reward is getting the drum spinning again! We have a very agitated carnivorous plantoid in our midst, but as it tries to get its plate in again, the drum is swiftly thrown in and Venus Fly Trap has several carvings in its plate now! Despite this, it now tries to lift Sheer Heart Attack partially while the latter is on the lip of the plate, and Martijn goes to back off...but now Steve is successful, and Sheer Heart Attack is flipped over! With the drum now spinning downwards, it won't be as effective as carving out the barbs and Venus Fly Trap seems to have the advantage now! Nonetheless, Martijn moves his machine away and gets the drum spinning again! The Flytrap comes straight upon him, but Marti does another nice reverse arc and this time has the drum pointed straight at Venus' side! Steve tries to turn and attack, but it's too late!
CRASH!!
And that's where having the drum spin downwards comes in handy!! That support is broken entirely off!! What a hit, and how unfortunate for this to happen to poor Steve! Venus Fly Trap, now handicapped, goes forward anyway and collects Sheer Heart Attack onto the plate. The former champ's drum begins to spin up again as it is unhampered by anything, but Venus Fly Trap lifts the plate...and it still works fine!! Hurriedly Martijn tries to reverse out of it, but now Venus has its sights set on Count Bleck's CPZ! Off they go! And Sheer Heart Attack does get out of the grip, but not out of the situation as one last shove deals him right into the...teeth, of Count Bleck!
CRASH!!!!
And just like that, Sheer Heart Attack loses a part - one of the rear wedges! Well, not entirely, but it's hanging by nearly a thread! I'm quite surprised the track didn't jam up, though, as Sheer Heart Attack, sent flying from the blow, is just fine and spins its drum up again! On the hunt again goes Venus Fly Trap, but Martijn isn't keen on losing his wedges and moves around the charge, just like at the start of the match! Steve moves to keep the front pointed at SHA2, but SHA2 reverses suddenly...aha! He got the side of Venus Fly Trap, and is under it with the undamaged wedge. Of course, this particular wedging doesn't remove all of Venus Fly Trap's wheels off the ground and they go twirling about until Sheer Heart Attack turns the other way...
CRASH!!
Say goodbye to the other support; it's gone!! Hacked off entirely! It did pop the Dutch machine up a bit, and Steve gets over the shock of his weaponry being compromised, quickly throwing SHA2 into an empty CPZ! Steve waits, as Sheer Heart Attack begins to climb the wedge...and NOW clamps! ...but he wasn't watching his back, and now Hexadecimal has entered the CPZ and got Venus Fly Trap from the rear! He is lifted up...oh, and Sheer Heart Attack is dangerously close to being toppled OOTA!!! No golden opportunity passed up, Venus Fly Trap lowers its plate, but Sheer Heart Attack drives off the side and is saved! ...and is now right-side-up again, having fallen off awkwardly! Big trouble for Venus Fly Trap...the drum spins to lethal velocities again, and by the time Hex releases VFT, SHA2 comes in one more time...
CRASH!!
To topple VFT onto its side! And without pointy supports to overbalance it back over, VFT only pushes itself off the wall and is stuck there on its side, firing the rear srimech and lifting pathetically! It's more than Martijn needed to see, and so he retreats to the middle of the arena as The Watcher bears the ill tidings to poor Team Braveheart...

And they get right into each other's faces! WHAM! I swear shockwaves must have been given off by that...neither can get under the other, but Orka seems to be winning the pushing battle...Novastorm is nearly shoved back into the arena wall, that would have been catastrophic, but they arc backwards, driving Orka away from the wall, but they cannot get away from the front of Orka, Orka is just relentless in its pursuit, and within seconds of their initial meeting Orka has Novastorm into the CPZ of Shunt, down comes the house robot's diamond-tipped axe, but Shunt really needs to pound the vitamins back because that axe is doing NOTHING to the top armour of Novastorm...the scoop, however has allowed Orka to get underneath the front of Novastorm, and toss it overtop of Shunt into the arena corner...nearly out, I might add, due to the weight disadvantage Novastorm has. Orka now backs off, Shunt comes in for some more blows and Novastorm is getting pounded. I'm not too sure but Novastorm might be receiving some internal damage from this, we'll have to wait and see, Novastorm is only 9 centimetres high, don't forget. The siren in the arena has gone off, meaning Orka has hit the pit release button and the pit is descending! Was that a wise move, I wonder? Could Novastorm come back and shove Orka down there? Shunt moves aside and Novastorm...is definitely moving slower than normal now. Orka's back in, meeting head-to-head...and is now definitely underneath Novastorm! Tony tries to get off of the wedge of Chris' robot, but no can do! Will Orka go one more step to the crown?? There's the flip...and THERE THEY GO!

For the house robots, we have...Rorschach, deadly, sinking claw...and lifting scoop. Partnering him...very demonic, very cruel, and mostly certainly very large, Mr. Psycho.

Two flipping beasts, one winner! There goes Achilles straight across the arena to bump into a mildly passive Magnitude, and to Joey's surprise Achilles actually manages to get under! Joey quickly tries to get the tracks in but there's naught he can do as Achilles immediately overturns Magnitude, not just that but sending him skidding across the arena floor whilst doing so! Magnitude rights itself quickly only to find itself right back on top of the flipper and tossed against the arena wall but thankfully not out! The 2nd seeds are putting on the pressure here and Magnitude is up against it! Magnitude self-rights again but Achilles is just relentless and gets under, a running charge along the wall before tossing Magnitude straight into Mr. Psycho's CPZ! Down comes the hammer, full-force! And it only glances off, or so it appears to, but what maelstrom of damage has been unleashed beneath the surface? We'll find out later, I guess. Achilles is still on top here, managing to get underneath Magnitude again and flip it, Magnitude self-righting but again gotten under by the punishing runner-up and is bullied and tossed into an empty CPZ, one which Rorschach has its sights set on and the house robot barges in! Immediately Achilles turns tail and goes for the pit release button, that's opened the pit. Magnitude is scooped up and...oooh. That claw DOES hurt...you know I think this is the first time I think we've seen our dear house robot cause that much damage. And it's about to get a whole lot worse, because in comes...Achilles? Oh no, Alex has it not enter the CPZ just yet. Rorschach now lifts with the scoops and drags Magnitude to the arena spike...but has difficulty in doing so because it's overbalanced! Achilles follows, not wanting to give its opponent any breathing room and Mr. Psycho...changes CPZs randomly. Apparently deciding he wants the other one more, he heads slowly back. Make up your mind already! :lame: Meanwhile, Rorschach...appears to be stuck to Magnitude...The Watcher might have entered, but no, in comes Achilles...

Wait for it...and...FLIP! Over go both robots! :proud: We all knew he would do that, didn't we... :proud: Seems Mr. Psycho didn't like that, though, and so now starts to chase Achilles around the arena. Of course, there is no real chase as Mr. Holt's machine neatly outpaces the far slower house robot! Speaking of house robots...Rorschach still has Magnitude in its grip, but...can't draw the claw back to release him! Magnitude takes the initiative then...FLIP! Not only does this free Magnitude, but it rights him too! And just in time to be slammed into by Achilles! Another wedging and there is little poor Joey can do as Achilles lightly throws his robot over again! Magnitude quickly self-rights, but only for Achilles to swiftly slide the flipper under, carry to the wall, and this time Achilles makes no mistake as Magnitude is flicked high, high...and then comes down, down...to doom!

Magnitude is n'owt but a light aftershock, as Joey is shaken up after such a flipping! :proud:

And yet another two flippers! :lame: The May Tracks Has Ge5orce...in its sights! Ge5orce...goes around! And due to the higher manoeuvrability in tow, Ge5orce rather easily gets to the sides, but is unable to immediately penetrate the skirts. May Tracks backs up, not wanting to be gotten under, but Ge5orce keeps up the pressure. It is in vain, though, and Ge5orce has to back off this time. May Tracks comes at him but Ge5orce swings around and...nope. In fact, the flipper goes right up the skirt to hit the side panel. Shrugging, Andy directs Ge5orce to push May Tracks away, but the tracks' grip prevent Ge5orce from accomplishing much in that regard. May Tracks then makes a nice turn and finds itself at Ge5orce's own side! He slips under one of the wheel pods before Andy can get out of danger, and has one of the pods ride up the wedge...then backs off! Unfortunately, none of the spikes caught the wheel pod and so that failed, Frank m'boy...Ge5orce turns in and fights off May Tracks' attempt to get back there, and in turn manages to once again get a hold of May Tracks' side. But he is faced with the same result and ends up futilely trying to push May Tracks away. May Tracks swings around and gets the wheel pod of Ge5orce again. This time, he gets all of Ge5orce on the wedge and delivers the Jackson robot to Sir Killalot! Sir Killalot...oh...dear. He has Ge5orce right by the wheelpod...what on earth is going to happen now?! Not damage, surely? The claw is either not going at full pressure and the roboteer of Sir Killalot is just being lazy, or...Killalot is totally unable to crush the pod! Whatever the case, Killalot drags him over the arena saws while May Tracks heads the other way...to the pit release button! And BZZT! we can hear...sparks fly, I wonder if our ears are dying...oooh. BZZT! A slice is nice...two will do. That's Ge5orce's wheelpod being sliced into...Sir Killalot is pinning him on top of it. I wonder if the tire has been chewed into, the mobility been compromised? It's a non-point now, as Killalot lets go and Ge5orce seems to be okay, but in comes May Tracks with a little nudge there. Ge5orce doesn't want that and so spins around, trying to slide the flipper underneath the skirts and failing to do so...May Tracks inadvertently gets under Ge5orce and pushes him back, only for Ge5orce to flip itself and get out of danger. May Tracks pursues, it looks like another cat and mouse game doesn't it? Ge5orce is back to its tactic of getting around to the side, and it again succeeds - aha! There we can see...that Ge5orce is under the side skirts of May Tracks at last, and NOW flips! Goodness me what a toss! May Tracks did a great somersault in mid-air, and rests on its back! It rights itself, but now I think we are about to see a repeat of last match! Ge5orce is immediately underneath before May Tracks is even fully on the ground, and oh dear! He's headed towards...the pit of oblivion that May Tracks just opened not too long ago! Oh the irony! Oh the horror! Oh the pain of defeat, as a straight-on charge sees May Tracks slide quickly down into the great abyss we all loathe and fear...

Never mind fights, nice renders of fights :proud: I'm very impressed Kodster.
Some of my predictions may have been wrong, but here, I predict Orka to breeze past SHA2 with an OOTA, and similarly, Ge5orce to shock everyone and OOTA Achilles/beat him on a JD based on Aggression.

Tactics for Redemption: Avoid that axe! Try and exploit the fact that Little Hitter has its wheels in opposing corners - and therefore, I think, turns faster in one direction than the other - to get around to its sides and pit it ASAP. Avoid the other hazards and house robots as much as is humanly possible.
Predictions: SHA2 to beat Orka, and...the second one could go either way but I am leaning slightly towards a Tornado/WBC sort of outcome with Achilles to progress.

SHA2 vs Orka... I may give more detailed tactics in the near future, but Sheer Heart Attack 2 plans on attacking Orka's sides and rear hard and relentlessly, and when wedged by Orka, I will use my tracks that will always keep in contact with the ground, and drive off asap

Here we go, then, and it's a bit surprising as Redemption is giving its all in the hunt for Little Hitter's sides...but finds that the plucky hammerbot can easily get the front in! There's little else Joey can do, though, if he wants to avoid that bludgeoning weapon...but try as he might he is unable to get about Little Hitter and the hammerbot takes advantage, getting the forks under after a patient turn and giving that bassa a healthy dose of smackage! This wouldn't have mattered much, as LH2's forks are low enough for Redemption to keep wheel contact with the ground, but the axebot pushes Redemption backwards, side-on and hammering away! Massive dents are already seen in Redemption's steel armour, look at the power of that hammer! Redemption JUST manages to get away before being totally flattened, but it appears that he's been slowed down quite early in the match! Here comes Little Hitter now, with some aggression, and Redemption is bumped aside as Little Hitter smacks into the rear of it. Hurriedly Joey tries to turn and ram his opponent's side, but Little Hitter already turned around before Redemption did, and is bearing down on him! There's a frontal collision, in which the little forks get underneath Redemption's wedge, and Little Hitter resumes smacking away...ironically, Redemption on top of the forks helps stabilize Little Hitter as he's smacking away, but Redemption is now beginning to push Little Hitter back! Back and back they go...until...Redemption completely stops moving! I think the 2nd set of consecutive blows, 15 in all, at the very least has knocked something out of place, and drained the life out of Redemption! And so Little Hitter parades about the arena whilst The Watcher troops over and ends Joey's quest for...well...Redemption! :proud:

Ge5orce vs. Achilles
I think the most important thing to do here is to make sure I can keep getting under Achilles side on. The shape and angle of my wedge should mean that I can get under the skirts quite well, and then it is just a case of getting the right flips in and sending it out of the arena. I should be more manoeuvrable, so hopefully getting to the sides won't be much of a problem. Keep sending it into danger with big flips and get it over as quick as possible. Whether Alex chooses to use pneumatics or hydraulics in this match, I think that self righting will be a weakness for Achilles, which I should be able to exploit.
Sergeant Slaughter vs. Minilith
I don't think the crusher is going to cause me many problems, so just out-push it into the pit or the other hazards.
Heroin vs. The Unnamed Feeling
The plan here will be to get the lifting arm under the sides or the back of Heroin and tilt it so that the flywheel hits the floor and stalls. Keep doing this and see if I can cause damage to the flywheel and/or other parts of Heroin. Keep tilting it and rolling it over, as I can't imagine the petrol engines enjoying that. Make use of the hazards, be annoying, and get it down the pit.
UberForce 2.0 vs. Toro
Ram it. Hard. Avoid the flipper if possible (this robot does have a flipper, right? :P) and dump it into the pit.

Right. As many of you know, I will be travelling across Canada and staying in Alberta for a few weeks. Because the computer I will be using doesn't have Rhino/Flamingo, this is postponed until then. Worry not, it will be finished! :D
While I am there, though, I may start sign-ups for my mini-tourney, so keep your eyes peeled... ;)

After over two months of no fights, I'm back, as promised! Here we go!

House robots...Dead Metal with the pincers and sawblade, and King Leer with the pounding crescents and immense pushing power!

ACTIVATE!
Orka is off to the races, it seems, and Sheer Heart Attack barely has time to act, but act he does! ...by backing up! The robots meet, but Orka can't even wedge him and the drum starts to eat away at the front of Orka, scratching at the flipper and surrounding wedges! Scratching is really all that the drum is doing, though, and Martijn knows that if he wants to cause some good damage, he'll need to get around Orka's angled front! The problem is, Orka isn't having any of it and, enduring all the sparks, manages to get the former champ to the arena wall! Orka immediately fires its pneumatic flipper, but it caught the drum too late and Sheer Heart Attack is merely thrown terminal, not out of the arena! But though Sheer Heart Attack comes straight down on Orka, the drum isn't spinning...so neither are really able to take control of the situation. Obviously, to Martijn, the ideal thing would be to drive off to get the drum spinning again, but with a hungry Orka RV heading for the pit release, he'd better do it quickly! And he does so, reversing straight off the back of the higher-seeded machine and spinning the drum up again. But Mr. Mason definitely has his sights set on opening that pit, and there's no way for Sheer Heart Attack to hinder him now! With an unrelenting sweep, Orka jets into the button and at the same time comically thrusts it off the wall with its flipper, sending it flying out of the arena! :proud: That was a crowd pleaser, no doubt, but Orka has to win if he wants that first spot in the Grand Final! Chris turns his machine around and with a icy jolt sees the tracked drumbot bearing down on Orka! He's not far enough away for a built-up ram into Martijn's machine, but he's too close to the wall...AND Sheer Heart Attack as well! Knowing nothing else to do, Orka drives straight into Sheer Heart Attack and this time pays dearly for it! Sparks fly and so does Orka - 180 degrees and 5 feet away, to be precise! :proud: Not to mention there is a severe lack of quality in the flipper now, a number of tears in it showing that all too well! Such a hit, however, has indeed stopped the former champion's drum, and now Orka burns the gears in reverse, preventing any further Dutch progress by slamming into Sheer Heart Attack's stalled drum and...is not winning the pushing duel? Alas, not a good sign, for Sheer Heart Attack's drivetrain outdoes Orka's even without the tracks! Martijn's quite happy about this and now pushes Orka back towards Dead Metal's CPZ! Chris isn't game for being operated on my two robots and fires the flipper on Orka, sending Orka flying overtop of Sheer Heart Attack...almost! He landed directly on the wedges! And there's little else Chris can do now; the pit he opened is nearby, and...wait...not directly on the wedges...Orka is partially on top of the tracks of Sheer Heart Attack. And Sheer Heart Attack moves backward...and the motion of the tracks throws Orka off them, partially onto the wedges, and he has mobility on the ground now! He manages to turn just enough to get out of line of the pit, but it's a near thing - Sheer Heart Attack has him on the edge! ...but Orka proves the swifter! He just manages to get off the edge of the pit!!! Not only that, but he's found a path to Sheer Heart Attack's sides, and now it's the Dutch machine in peril as Orka tries to get it down the pit! But seemingly less peril; as stated, Martijn has more power in his machine and before Orka can even flip and push Sheer Heart Attack backs away, and out of danger - Orka's flip comes too late and he nearly throws himself over! This phenomenon has the Dutch machine turn around and solidly strike Orka in the side with its powerful drum!

Overturned, Orka lands on the pit edge!!! Martijn follows through with the hit as quick as he can, but not quick enough! Orka backs out of danger again, and Sheer Heart Attack nearly pits ITSELF! Both robots are toying with the grim reaper, here! But who will dance the dance of death first?! Orka self-rights, but he's back near the wall and there's miniscule breathing room available for him, not to mention a drum-bearing Dutch machine is coming straight at him! With another great CRASH, Sheer Heart Attack buries that damned drum into the side of Orka, not only tossing it over but denting the side up very badly! Before Orka even lands, however, the drum is spinning again, and Martijn presses the assault, flicking Orka up, who falls back onto the drum! Martijn can't quite seem to turn and pit his nemesis, however, and so shoves Orka into the nearby CPZ! Orka tries throwing himself off, but only achieves throwing himself against the wall! ...this looks suspect! Is Orka stacked against the wall?! Is he?! Hmm! King Leer comes into the CPZ, though; remember, the house robots can attack you in a CPZ, regardless if you're in an immobilized position or not! And King Leer shoves into Orka, bringing down the crescents on Orka's undamaged side! They are really made for internal pounding, to be honest, as Orka is barely receiving a scratch from that, but could face problems driving around from here on out! Dead Metal makes his way in as well, as the Crash & Burn 2 champ backs out of the house robots' fun time! King Leer is done and Dead Metal takes over, taking Orka off the wall and sawing down on the front flipper of Orka, who still remains on its side! But the flipper seems far more durable now than it was against Sheer Heart Attack's drum; the scars from the drum are still there, but the sawblade (while creating the sparks of ooooooh and ahhhhhhh fame) doesn't seem to be adding to them! Deciding that he's done for now as well, Dead Metal returns to his CPZ. Orka fires the flipper again and...he slowly tips back onto his wheels, no wall to impede him! Hang on...I see Orka's right side wheel set moving, but the left isn't - OHH!!! Sheer Heart Attack has capitalized again with another major SLAM with the drum against the side of Orka, and it is further dented up, with nice slashes to boot! And I think that the side has been dented too much; it's intercepted the mobility of Orka's left side! Therein lies the problem, but it's no longer exposed to Martijn, as Orka was tossed by that last blow as well! Orka self-rights once more, but by this time Sheer Heart Attack has spun up its drum an umpteenth time and brings it to bear on Orka's undamaged side, and now makes it quite damaged!!! More massive dents in the titanium armour are delved, and a high-profile toss pinions Orka against the wall again! This time it is with the flipper against the wall, so Orka tosses itself away from it...and back into the former champion's drum!!! More carnage from the 14th seed as Orka is forced back into the wall, but once again self-rights and is back on its wheels before Sheer Heart Attack can rev its drum back up again...but the same problem with the left side of its mobility is now mirrored! The right side armour has been pushed in too much, intercepting the wheels! It's moving...but barely! Martijn isn't letting up for anyone, though, and another drum blow a few seconds later sends Orka back into the wall, the right side now sporting a vast amount of slashes! It waits for Orka to toss itself off the wall, and then moves in again with another climactic CRASH, ripping away the rest of the right side armour as if it were paper and tearing into the chassis now! Orka doesn't seem to be moving its wheels at all, but the flipper is still working...and it shoves Orka off the wall. But I think the ghost has been given up here...the 6th seed is truly immobilized! Sheer Heart Attack is really on top of its game again, and it parades to the center of the arena to twirl about and celebrate its return to the Grand Final as The Watcher counts down the Crash & Burn 1 bronze medallist!

A blazing Achilles is the first to move out of his spot, and Ge5orce BARELY manages to avoid the initial charge, Achilles bumping right into the wheelpod's rear end from the side! Ge5orce more manoeuvrable drive, however, manages to see it spin around quickly and get to Achilles' side, but unfortunately not under - the skirts are in the way and he can't get the wedge past without struggling, and by the time Andy drives even further forward, Achilles has backed away! But it's now charged into Ge5orce's side before the latter can spin about, and lifted it up off the ground wholly! Alex has the arena wall in his sights for a grand slam! Thinking fast, Andy fires the flipper to shake himself loose, and this manages to propel him off the lifter, landing on the other side of the runner-up! Achilles swiftly turns though, but not quick enough to take advantage of the situation because Ge5orce has backed out of trouble, but is heading back into it, gunning for Achilles' side! Thanks to his robot's manoeuvrability, Andy actually manages to get to it easily, and this time the flipper manages to get underneath the skirt! With more driving under, Ge5orce gets under the main body before Achilles can sneak away, and - whoa! Achilles almost managed to drive off the flipper, but Ge5orce followed up closely and got far under him from the rear! He's heading for the arena wall!! And Ge5orce heaves Achilles through the air with a hefty throw...!!!

Not one to rain on someone's parade, Alex Holt simply applauds Andy's victory as Ge5orce in the arena below (possibly drunk with joy?) tosses itself over...again and again! :proud:

Gabriel IV, he has skirts, but my claws do scrape along the ground... I can penetrate those, but even if NOT, well, if not the claws will slide up the skirts, and close down upon Gabriel's body! maybe the hinges of Gabriel that bulk out ever so slightly will be a good holding on point for Under Pressure, but even if not, I will crush him down, hold him, and... pit him!
If he inverts me, well, then I have no chance to get under at all, but I can STILL crush and pit!

Having humiliated the spinners in his melee, Andy guns straight at Liam's machine, but...the crushing machine prevails! Minilith drives right up the wedge and its extending blade meets the lower part of the crushing arm, which is quickly sinking down and, before Minilith can undo its charge, has touched down on the top armour! Sgt. Slaughter has a firm grip on its nemesis, but the pit isn't open yet! Rather than open it himself, Liam decides to have fun with the arena saws, and brings Minilith over them! BZZT! They slice the side, but apparently can do little but scratch the 4mm Hardox! But what can, though, is Sgt. Slaughter's beak itself, which has finally penetrated that tough armour and goes slowly in...but not too deep. What a powerful weapon! More saw abuse happens, and finally a cut is seen in the side of Minilith, very minor but still visible. But you can't have such an embrace going for too long, as The Watcher moves in to remind Liam. But he 'accidentally' shoves both of them onto the saws, which pop up and send them both flying across the arena! :proud: Sgt. Slaughter lands on its back...and then its side! And Minilith is trapped there! What on earth has the referee done!? Well, both robots can't move like that...in fact, neither robot can move at all! There seems to be a problem with Sgt. Slaughter, as it should be able to self-right from that position, but can't! Oh dear! Both robots still have their wheels spinning, though...but unfortunately we cannot let the house robots interfere, so we will have to go to a judges decision!

Oh, yes, tactics XD those would help...
My tactics are to exploit the fact that Under PRessure can't grab me unless it goes pretty much straight on to the front point, as its claws are liable to just slide up the sides otherwise. What I intend on doing is not letting it get head to head, and focusing on scooping it up on to one of the sides in a side to side attack, before then getting it in the pit or out of the arena ASAP.
Good luck Marti :) and some w00ty fights there Kody. (and in case anyone was wondering, Minilith won the damage category on the grounds that Sgt. Slaughter's entire crusher system broke while Minilith was perfectly working, cosmetic damage aside)

The higher speed of Gabriel IV sees it have the quicker start, but as it tries to implement its tactics of finding Under Pressure's sides and rear, it finds the quirky crusher more than it bargained for already! Joey moves around the claws...but finds Under Pressure still facing his robot! It seems the Dutch machine can turn quite fast! But as the 9th seed cuts Gabriel off from another turn and closes in, Martijn has a big problem of his own! Under Pressure has instantly rode up the side skirt of Gabriel and onto the angular side, completely unable to get under it!! Of course, since Martijn activated the claws, this doesn't mean Gabriel is much better off, it can only push Under Pressure in a circle! Eventually Martijn has to let go and that's when Gabriel makes its move, getting directly under the front of Under Pressure and the front-hinged flipper greedily activates, toppling Under Pressure over onto its back! It seems the battle is now under Gabriel's total control and 30 seconds haven't even passed yet! Martijn has a go at Gabriel again, but the claws are completely ineffective now, sliding off the side of Gabriel and closing upon air! A smirking Joey pushes Under Pressure straight into Damocles' CPZ!

And the rear of Under Pressure takes one hell of a beating!! Both rear panels protecting the ram have been ripped straight off and Under Pressure goes catapulting off of Gabriel across the arena with several slashes into its rear, but unfortunately not landing right-side-up! Joey decides to nip this in the bud right now and starts to back his machine towards the pit release button! But Under Pressure is right after him, and as Gabriel hits the button, the 9th seed manages to...slide onto the front of Gabriel neatly, and then fall off to the side of it. Gabriel swings around and gets back under, then shoves him back into Damocles, and the resulting pummelling has the rear torn up more, and additional hits are given to the now exposed ram! But at long last it finally turns Under Pressure the right way up and over top of Gabriel! Both robots spin about, but Gabriel sticks its nose into the side of Under Pressure's claw, and gets under. The rounded edge of Under Pressure, and the weight distribution means Under Pressure tilts onto its damaged rear, but Gabriel is right in here and now shoves Under Pressure towards the pit! Under Pressure however grabs a hold of Gabriel, its claws sneaking around to the rear...and then tilt up as Under Pressure is fully wedged! It begins to slide off but Gabriel activates the flipper in the nick of time and Under Pressure bounces away...and is on the edge of the pit!! Martijn tries to move back but with one wheel over the gangway it's not going to happen, and a slight nudge from Gabriel IV is all that's needed to send the 9th seed plunging into the depths below!

Off they go...apparently Disco 5 has a bit of a slower start, but in comes Mobile Failure quickly, and squarely striking the tip of the flipper! A large dent is made in it, but nothing more, I'm afraid. Mobile Failure backs off before Disco 5 can get under and flip...wait a second...hold on, our champion isn't moving? What is this? Mobile Failure now moves back in, but cautiously, afraid Disco 5 will come back to life...but it doesn't! The disc is spinning, though - POP! There goes the flipper, too! But the drive is suddenly gone?! Now Mobile Failure moves further in and lands blow after shattering blow as The Watcher also moves in...how could this happen to the champion?! Large-scale dents now plague Disco's flipper as our referee nudges Disco a bit to make sure it's actually dead...and then starts to count it out!!!

And amazingly, that's it! The champion is gone and so is his crown...Tracy backs off now as - WHAM! Asterix rampages in, and the hit hammers Disco in the side! Disco bounces a bit, but the skirts prevented Asterix from getting underneath! Nonetheless, Shunt comes forth now, and both he and Asterix shove the now ex-champ towards the floor flipper, Shunt raining axe blows as he helps but not doing much in the way of damage. Eventually Disco 5 reaches its destination, the floor flipper activates, and sends Disco 5 onto its back - hey! The wheels ARE still spinning!! Wh...what is this?! Not to mention the flipper pops up and self-rights Disco 5! ...but he's not moving even now! Well, regardless, Disco 5 is out, as Mobile Failure reverses into the pit release, and Shunt shoves the Forsyth creation towards the hole, and finally into it!

King of the Dance Floor? Stuck to it, more like! Disco 5 moonwalks all the way back to Kelvedon! :proud:

(after, it was learned that Disco 5's ground clearances at the front and rear were 0, with no skirting. So the first hit from Mobile Failure buckled the baseplate enough to pin it to the floor!)

In for the house robots we have Matilda with the tusks and the flywheel, and joining her is Dead Metal with the pincers and sawblade, but what a grudge match we have here today...!!

And here we go...as both robots fly straight at each other...Wedge Devo going ever-so-slightly off course and dodging the lifter entirely! This has Black Panther travel partway up the wedge, hit the decorative siren (and smashing it off in the process :proud: ) and bounce off to the side! Given a perfect shot, Black Panther lets fly with a supermassive black shot on Wedge Devo's top armour...only to find the slippery wedge not there and its punishing blow hitting arena floor! A quick j-turn saw Wedge Devo immediately escape the danger and thrust itself into Black Panther's side, and an expulsion of CO2 later sees the DoomForAll machine tossed end over end in mid-air, landing directly on the side edge and unbalancing onto its back! But just as suddenly, another fresh burst of CO2 from Black Panther's axe sends the panther catapulting back onto its wheels! It didn't count of Wedge Devolution pursuing it as it landed, however, and the Scottish wedge slides straight back under the front (avoiding the lifter again) of Mr. Holt's hammerer and tosses it across the arena! Black Panther bounces end over end off the floor, and eventually into the clutches of Dead Metal! Grappling the panther securely before it can drive away, the silver scorpion's deadly sawblade revs right up and plunges into the 25mm HDPE rear...although the sawblade doesn't quite get through, there is a massive slice in it! And then the sawblade does get through, the 2nd time is the charm as Dead Metal completely slices through the 2.5cm thick plastic and possibly damaging the innards! Black Panther could have dragged Dead Metal out, possibly, but the evacuation of the CPZ is dashed away quickly as Wedge Devo sweeps under the 180 degree wedge of the panther and simply holds him there, rather than flipping! Dead Metal has another go, and indeed this go 'goes' deeper than before, as Dead Metal's sawblade gets really deep into the body of Black Panther...Alex hopefully believes this is superficial though! But as Dead Metal's claws retract, and as does the saw, Steve is trigger-ready and trigger-happy as the rear-hinged flipper makes another successful turnover, throwing Black Panther into the corner of the CPZ, inverted! :proud: But to Steve's slight chagrin, Dead Metal leaves the CPZ and heads for another, satisfied with the carnage he inflicted thus far. Nonchalant, Wedge Devo moves in as Black Panther attempts to self-right, but throws itself onto the wall! Steve keeps his distance, not wanting to get hit by the axe at all...which is rather strange considering the axe hasn't been retracted yet! :proud: Alex retracts the axe and this bounces Black Panther off the wall...and onto the incoming flipper of Wedge Devo! Another great thrust of the flipper...and...
