FRA elections 2009

well i dont know how long ive been a member of the fra but every year ive consistantly not been sent a voting form. :sad:

I was called in to the Returning Officer role at very short notice following Johns resignation.
I am not voting in the election for Chairman.
In any election involving Geoff as a candidate I will not take on the role due to my close associations with him.

I hope that makes my position perfectly clear to all.

In a word, no.
As per my earlier post saying that I would be contacting people individually - that was completed by 10:45. Some of those people have already contacted me at some point during this election.
The original ballot form was sent as a bulk mailing with all the recipients as b.c.c. so depending upon their email settings their mail server may have treated it as spam and rejected it - hence the need to send again to some people.

I so agree with Marcos earlier comment and was witness to him guiding a youngster at Leicester towards the forum to find out info about becoming a roboteer. For the likes of Andrew,Tom,Michael,Alex,Shane etc we must all keep it together. Lord knows what an outsider must think of all this!!

As at 9:30pm I have had 44 ballot returns from the 72 forms sent out. Keep them coming in. I have had contact with some people who have yet to vote and I expect their returns very soon.

Please do not forget that the deadline for casting your vote is midnight tomorrow night Friday 13th. That leaves you just over 27 hours to go before the polls close. I will be taking the date/time details on your email as evidence of that so emails showing 14th February will not be counted.

As many of you will be at Barnsley over the weekend I have decided, with the blessing of Mike and Kane, not to announce the result on the forum until Monday evening. Try to hold your excitement until then. Also do not email me, phone me or text me - I will simply but politely refuse to tell you. Dont bother to ask the candidates or the Governing Body because none of them will know either. We all need a break from this and the event will be a chance to wind down and enjoy yourselves.
