I saw these stats, I LOLd so hard, I nearly let the boss know I was surfing the net :proud:
Hehe :proud: Aaron has a point here though Paul... 2x LEM200s, 8 wheels, a vacuum system, a crusher, Hardox skirting and 7mm Ti and 8mm Steel (which I presume are in different areas rather than both all over). Its going a little overboard to say the least. If youre going for LEM200s you would have to sacrifice elsewhere as that would be 22kgs in just drive motors. Get rid of the steel and make it 7mm Ti all over. Change the LEM200s to LEM130s to save a load of weight. Cut down on the wheels, 8 are not needed. Dimensions need to be larger. Expand on the crusher description. Up the ground clearence by at least another 3mm. Otherwise, thats fine! :proud:
Are you sure, everyone, that youre drifting away from the competition slightly, into another Pauls bots are overweight rants?
YOU decided to post one of your new vapours here for no appearant reason Paul, and Tungsten and LEM200 and Titanium and eight wheels all ARE bloody heavy :P, and you lack a srimech, Crusher CU is just not realistic
Paul, it isnt a rant. People are trying to offer you advice, which you seam reluctant to take, and if people feel you are just going to ignore their helpful advice people will give up on you.

Are you sure that youre acting like everyones attacking you?
Seriously Paul, you need to stop with the oh everyone picks on me because I have overweight vapourbots act, its a god damn nuisance. Man up a little.
As Chopper would say, Have a spoon full of concrete and harden the **** up :proud:
Paul, you stated you have autism, would it be Asperger by any chance? I have a former teammate who has Aspergers and I recognize some characteristics of him in you.
This is not an attack at you, Im just curious.
Funny you should bring that up, Leo, as I actually have Aspergers syndrome myself. No lie. :proud:
Small world we live in. Well you are in good company, it is rumoured many brilliant minds like Leonardo da Vinci had AS.
Anyway, back on topic. If Paul wants to answer that is his perogative.
Yes Leo, I do have Aspergers Syndrome. And you are right - da Vinci did have it as well.
Well its kind of hard to prove that since he wasnt diagnosed with it since AS wasnt known until hundreds of years later. But there is some evidence to support it.
pssh da Vinci invented it!
Is there anything he didnt invent?
lol, no way that Da Vinci discovered Asperger
I do not know when it was discovered, but I can not believe there was this undiscovered syndrome that Da Vinci discovered ON HIMSELF. The only valid way to be diagnosed well is by an outside source, ESPECIALLY when it comes to a new syndrome, no matter how smart Da Vinci is :P
ow, and Hans Asperger discovered it :P
...Yeah. Way to miss the joke Martijn :P
no jokes in my tourney!:proud:
No, Frank, Al Gore invented everything, not Leo da Vinci. :P
Egotism for all! :proud:
Paul, it isnt a rant. People are trying to offer you advice, which you seam reluctant to take, and if people feel you are just going to ignore their helpful advice people will give up on you.
...did Martyn just type a decently constructed post?!
Holy smoking barrels, call the pigmasks Lucas, weve got a situation here!
Wow, I guess I really HAVE been out of the loop that long...
Someone end the insanity...:proud:
Needs more duct tape...

Fight 2
Axeon 2.0 vs NSBFR-X vs Shovearound 2
Axeon 2.0: Andy€™s axebot :proud:. Axeon uses the rack and pinion system popularised by Terrorhurtz and takes it to another level. The drive of this machine is great too.
In MN1: Did not compete.
NSBFR-X: Or Never-Seen-Before-Fic-Robot-X is yet another interchangeably armed machine, entered by Frank. With 5 sweet set-ups, good armour and a nice drive, this is a great all-rounder.
NSBFR-X will use the drum today.
In MN1: Did not compete.
Shovearound 2: Tony happens to own one of the most successful vapours of this year. This invertible pushing wonder is the current Fowler Fic War champ.
In MN1: Has beaten Leprosy Infection, with Whirligig 4.0, to be beaten by Going Crunch in round 2.

ACTIVATE!
Shovearound and its 4 LEMs leave the starting square immediately, soon to be followed by Axeon and NSBFR. The fresh king of FFW drives in a good line to NSBFR, who attempts to get away, but still has Shovearound closing in on its side. The lifting forks reach out towards NSBFR€™s side skirts, but they don€™t get under! Instead, the forks scrape over the skirts and touch NSBFR€™s rounded side. NSBFR is shoved aside abit before getting rid of Shovearound, and faces Axeon head-on!
CRASH!
CLANG!
NSBFR€™s drum hits Axeon€™s front while Axeon€™s axe hits NSBFR€™s top :proud:. The axe-blow isn€™t that effective since Axeon is swept away by the drum on impact. NSBFR€™s acceleration proves excellent when the interchangeable machine boxrushes Axeon.
CLANG!
The drum slams the front-skirt upwards and keeps on rattling against it like a€¦ rattle, and the it looks like the hinge is about to give in when Shovearound comes in at NSBFR-X from behind! With a great clash Shovearound€™s forks ram their way under the rear-skirt.
CRASH!
Tony€™s recklessness boxrushes NSBFR closer to Axeon, and now the hinge DOES give! Axeon€™s front-skirt now is damn loose and Shovearound raises its forks. Axeon gets out of the way before facing another drum-blow and meets the lifted NSBFR at its side, and fires its axe!
CLANG!
NSBFR€™s armour is pierced now and Axeon pulls back. Shovearound moves forward, causing NSBFR€™s drum to contact the floor. With a loud BANG, NSBFR slams back on the ground and is inverted. Back in action, Frank set his sights on Axeon and the interchangeable machine rushes towards it. With nice agility NSBFR has one hell of a go at Axeon€™s side€¦
CRASH!
Axeon topples upwards and but is not quite flipped. NSBFR shows off its ramming abilities now and slams Axeon against the arena wall!
CLANG!
Axeon ends up on its side, but is quick to fire its axe when NSBFR comes in for another ram, Shovearound coming in on NSBFR€™s side, but not quite underneath.
CLANG!
Shovearound€™s interference didn€™t quite stop NSBFR from performing another slam!

Time is running out when Shovearound DOES penetrate NSBFR€™s skirt!

Disco 5 (3) vs NSBFR-X
Depends on what set-up NSBFR-X uses...
Shovearound 2 vs Slammer V
Shovearound 2 FTW!!! :proud:
Disco 5 (3) vs NSBFR-X - I believe that Disco is going to stop dancing tonight after this fight.
Shovearound 2 vs Slammer V - SHOVEAROUND 2!!!
will give tactics when frank posts his tactics
Ill use the drum for this fight, as hes fairly tall and thus flippable. Given acceleration and speed, I can out-run him, so Ill aim at his sides and flip him over while pushing, hopefully tearing those skirts off while I do so and putting a hole or two in his armour.
Ram him all over the place and see if I can weaken him some, then go for the pit.
...Oh, and avoid Back to Rock...
i am gonna keep the disc pointed at NSBFR X as much as i can, to try and damage the robot and the drum. i should hopfuly be able to flip it with the disc as well. I will just keep going at it with the disc untill something in NSBFR breaks
Alex, I am kinda in the dark at what Slammer V would use against a rambot like Shovearound 2, please enlighten me :proud:
Mr Holt?:proud:
hmmm.... I dont have much of a better idea than you do, lol. Because I dont expect to win, Im going to take a gamble and go with the horizontal claws, in the hope I can grab on and do some slamming. I dont really expect it to work, but could be fun, lol.

Slammer (the five setups will be: vertical claw, wedge, vertical flywheel, axe blades and lance)
horizontal claws isnt quite an option Alex :proud:
Mr Holt?:proud:
(Deja Vu?)
A deja vu is when Ive altered stats for the May Tracks:proud:
Curse it, forgot about the limited setups....
errr.... vertical claws then...

Disco 5 (3) vs NSBFR-X
NSBFR-X will use the drum today.

Activate!
That€™s two vertical spinning weapons driving their way through the arena right there! NSBFR is off quicker, both with its wheels and its weapon, and comes in on an eagerly awaiting Disco. Disco turns to dodge the first attack, but NSBFR turns quicker!
CLANG!
The drum hits Disco€™s side, and the crowd cheers! Paint is slammed off and Disco has some contused ribs, but the damage looks minimal. After a minor topple to its side Disco hurries away from NSBFR. Disco creates some distance and performs a U-turn, and is back on NSBFR€™s tail! NSBFR turns its drum towards its nemesis€¦
CRASH!
Weapon-to-weapon, and Disco seemingly comes out on top! The two machines are swept away from each other on impact, immediately, and NSBFR more so than Disco! While Disco€™s armour next to the disc shows some big dents, NSBFR€™s drum has a slice across it€™s surface! Both weapons were stalled after the impact, and Frank and Martyn eagerly spin them up again. SURPRISE! Frank€™s drum is taking a shitload of time to spin up after Disco€™s attack! Disco€™s disc on the other hand is coming along nicely and Martyn fires another attack on NSBFR-X!
CRASH!
Disco hits NSBFR€™s side and the interchangeable moves up into the air and lands inverted on its back! And the side-skirt is sliced too! NSBFR€™s drum is still accelerating€¦ slowly€¦ steadily€¦ and Disco comes again! NSBFR moves, dodges and reverses, using its rear-skirt to boxrush Disco! Disco is carried away, but NSBFR doesn€™t get under! What NSBFR does do however, is showing off its tank-like steering system to bring in its drum that has reached dangerous speeds by now despite the damage Disco did!
CRASH!
Disco€™s side is struck all right! The skirt moves upwards and the main-body follows, and before long the entire bot is on its back. NSBFR comes in again, but finds its weapon stalled again! The damage done by Disco earlier is paying its toll now, and the drive train did not survive this hit! Disco is rammed by a static drum before using its srimech to get back on its wheels. Martyn is annoyed to see his freshly hit skirt stuck in upright position, but he€™s happy to see NSBFR€™s weapon being useless.

Shovearound 2 vs Slammer V
Slammer V will use the vertical claws today.
3€¦

1€¦
Activate!
Shovearound moves straight off the starting square, THAT€™s what 4 LEMs do to a bot! Alex€™ interchangeable axlebot moves slower but perhaps more gracious towards its nemesis. With more manoeuvrability than Shovearound Slammer attempts to attack Shovearound€™s side. The vertical claw tries to penetrate Shovearound€™s skirt, but success there is not. Tony is amused with this outcome and turns Shovearound€™s front at Slammer, and accelerates! Mercilessly Slammer is pushed across the arena untill€¦
CLANG!
Slammer is€¦ SLAMMED against the arena wall! Tony activates the forks but they aren€™t that well underneath Slammer, so there€™s little effect. Shovearound moves backwards for another attack€¦ and comes in again! Alex activates one of his flipping plates JUST in time to dodge the attack. Both machines go on the attack again, standing face-to-face. Alex comes in, straight at Tony€™s lifting forks! Slammer€™s claw moves well underneath and firmly closes around Shovearound€™s only active weapon! Alex tries to shove Shovearound around (:proud:), but those 4 LEMs give to much resistance to let that happen. Back to the flipping plate€¦
CLANG!
With a stylish self-flip with Shovearound in its claws, Slammer utterly SLAMS Shovearound onto the ground, all the time putting pressure on Shovearound€™s weapon! The flip however put the inverted Shovearound WELL flat on the floor and its 4 wheels spin up, and shove Slammer backwards! Alex€™ attack backfires and he releases his grip, but Shovearound€™s move already brought Slammer DAMN close to the pit. Slammer tries to flee, but freeing Shovearound benefits Shovearound€™s acceleration! Tony€™s rammer comes in quick, the pit behind Slammer!
CLANG!
CEASE
Slammer V meets the bottom of the pit
Shovearound 2 goes through to the heat final!

Im predicting Disco. Its less sucesful (at least in other tournies) but I think its the better machine.
Disco 5 (3) vs Shovearound 2 - that is a high seeding position for Martyn, but but the armour of Shovearound 2 is too thick for its spining disc to damage, and the skirts on it are too low for Disco to even get under.
Shovearound 2 for the win!
