3... 2... 1... Activate!
In the left corner its our most successful realie so far (as in, its the only realie to win a fight so far, and actually the second realie to feature :proud:) spinning up its two discs, viciously, relentlessly. Achilles is off to a vicious start too, as his Eteks carry him towards 13 Black faster than the eye can see. Chris Cooper does a fair bit of maneuvering and ends up at Achilles side, where one flick of the control-button is enough to...
CLANG!
One of Chris discs finds its way in Achilles side, slamming a nice little dent into the titanium. Alex is furious and turns his machine around. Not with the same finesse as the 2WD 13 Black, but still good enough to catch 13 Black on its wedge. The disc scrapes along the wedge a bit, but the angle at which this happens isnt good enough to do major damage. The angle at which Achilles has just caught 13 Black though, is more than good enough, methinks after looking how 13 Black flies through the air!:proud:
Chris Cooper isnt very pleased when he sees 13 Black landing flat on its back, though hes now trying to use the same trick as 13 Black used way back against DanTomKia. The two discs start spinning simultaneously and are luring Achilles in. Alex responds accordingly, and drives his machine straight into the realie! The vapour receives next to no damage however, and rams 13 Black against the wall!

Killotine: EVO vs Orka MK4
3... 2... 1... Activate!
Killotine moves away from its spot slightly faster than Orka does, though the latter is soon to follow. The two machines meet in the arena-center. Both machines rely on their front weapons to be in position, resulting in a bit of nifty maneuvering of both of todays contenders. Once Steves got the feeling hes maneuvered enough, he decides its time to use that mighty weapon of him! CLANG Steves silver axe comes down upon Orkas head! Chris is watching in awe and sees his titanium top pierced! Steves axe goes up again... up... up... and... DOWN! Another hole has been might right next to the first one! Chris fires his flipper now in an attempt to shake off Killotine, and, with success. Orka backs off... slightly... only to come back at Killotines side! The Behemoth-like machine rams its scoop against Killotines skirt, but cant seem to get underneath it. Still Chris shoves its opponent quite a few meters before Steve starts showing some resistance. And even when he does, it doesnt help him being slammed against the pit-release button! After this slam however, Killotine drives away backwards at the rhythm of the pit-release siren! Orka is soon to follow though. The two maniacal machines soon meet head-to-head and from here both machines fore their weapons! CLANG! Killotines axe cam down, but found itself blocked by “rkas scoop! The axe still streches out, and hereby only lifts the robot behind it higher in the air. Chris responds, goes forward a bit and gets his scoop underneath Killotines main body! Down comes the claw, and with relative ease, around goes Orka. Steve doesnt like being captured all that much though, and fiercely fires his axe. CLANG! Another hole is made on top of Orka, though that doesnt stop it from driving to the pit! Actually, Orkas already holding Killotine over the pit! Up goes its claw and... and... what? Killotines axe is stuck one top of Orka! Killotine wont fall! Chris wobbles his machine a bit hoping he can shake Killotine off a bit... wont help. Chis activates his flipper now... since he cant keep Killo on its back forever. Up goes the flipper, up goes Killotine, and its loose! Killotine is whirled into the air several decimeters, and he comes down... straight into the pit.

Orkas loose! It charges towards the arena-centre, but so does Achilles. They meet, with a bang, and but none of the two seems to gain a real advantage and they back off again. Achilles maneuvres around Orkas side, and the big mammal cant do anything but watch. Alex gets his front underneath Orka and pulls off an impressive flip. Chris isnt impressed though, because of his dorsal fin and flipper he finds himself back on his feet (or whatever it is orcas stand on :P) in no time. Or at least, before Achilles comes driving in to have another go at Orka! Chris quickly drives away and finds himself saved, for now. Achilles is close behind him though, and seemingly close to another flip. Orka turns, dodges, dodges again, and Orkas really becoming more and more cornered by the second! Chris knows somethings gotta change, fast, and he sends his relatively unmaneuverable into a tight turn and finds himself at Achilles back! Chris fires his flipper and this time its Achilles whos on his back! Alex knows the drill, and he too can self-right before things become worse. Alex sighs in relieve of surviving this attack and decides to take control in his own hands again. The vapourboteer shows whos the most maneuverable machine in this match and can be found at Orkas side, again :proud: Alex flips, Orka flies. Alex goes all-out offensive this time, and rushes towards his predicted landing spot. The flipper is fired again! Alex is getting the hang of this, and Chris doesnt like it one bit. Achilles catches Orka again, but instead of using his weapon, he does a box-rush!

Bloody Tears 2 vs ForcePower 5.0 vs Forklift 2
Bloody Tears 2:A defensive monster good and true. Bloody Tears 2 wears 1 mm of Hardox and wedges all around. The front one has a punching rack, the sides have two €œskirts€ each for clamping down, and the back has a flipper. O yeah, its omnidirecional :proud:
ForcePower 5.0: One of the meanest rambots on the vapour-block. ForcePower is a passive invertible box with LEM200-drive, and an invertible wedge at the front.
Forklift 2: A danger and not-so-standard at all flipper. The flipper works like the one seen on Toro, and the movement is caused by 6 wheels!
3... 2... 1... Activate!
Lets look at ForcePower first here. Powerful drive motors, geared towards a relatively low speed of 15 mph, means high acceleration. HUGE acceleration. ForcePower shoots away from it starting square to face whoevers gonna want a piece of him. The other two competitors are coming in as well however, and when we see all three machines dancing around each other in the arena-center, everyone forgets how fast ForcePower initially seemed :proud:. While Bloody Tears is busy staying away from the front weapons of its opponents, its Forklift who tries to draw first blood. Martyn steers his machine around ForcePowers side, and flips ForcePower up and over now. ForcePower lands on its wheels, which isnt all that surprising since its invertible:proud:. Martyn is looking for another attack, somewhere else, Tony is looking for a little attack on Martyn, and Andy? Andys looking for the pit-release button, since he knows bloody well his rambot cant do much in a hazard-less arena. The siren is heard, as are Bloody Tears smoking tires :proud:. The omnibot drives into Forklifts rear 25 mph, to find himself underneath it enough for his punching rack to do the rest. Forklift topples up... and comes down, not by great force, bu still by enough force to flip Forklift. Martyn shows Tony what real flipping power is by launching Forklift back onto its wheels way before Bloody Tears can reach it, and JUST before ForcePower can reach it. Forcepower is close enough to Forklift now to turn around and come in for a good slam. Forcepowers assault is frontal, but brutal enough to punch that wedge straight under Forklifts forks!
CLASH!
Forklift meets the wall... thats gotta hurt, badly. All Martyn can think of now though is how lucky he must be about not having been sent OOTA. Andy cant do anything lethal to Forklift from this point, so he decides to turn around and have a go at Bloody Tears now, whos been looking for a good attack at the back. ForcePower drives in at Bloody Tears side, which is designed in such a way that ForcePower now drives over the bottom side wedge, and sees the upper-wedge coming down, equipped with those nasty spikes! ForcePower however, is designed in such a way that its back-wheels will still reach the ground while being up a ramp. Andy uses his traction to aim Bloody Tires, clamping down on him, towards the pit, before accelerating in needed direction. Bloody Tears is moving towards the pit... Tony loosens his grip on ForcePower... the pit is so darn close... Bloody Tears goes in reverse... and while almost balancing on the edge of the pit, Tony is freed! Well... for now, Forklift has been closing in from behind, and decides to put its 6WD in good use by ramming Bloody Tears at full force...

3-6-0 vs Die-Ceratops Re-Invertus vs Tails
3-6-0: A full body spinner, and quite an effective one. I dishes out 32 kJ of energy, and actually is invertible.
Die-Ceratops Re-Invertus: This might be one of the more powerful flippers out there nowadays. It is modeled after Wheely Big Chees, with the advantages of wheel bars and a rounded back at its disposal.
Tails: The coolest comedybot there is ;). Tails isnt fun and games only though, hes a classic wedge with front-hinged flipper and a back spinning blade.
3... 2... 1... Activate!
All three competitors know what they want today. Cooper (yeah, we have 2 Chris today :proud:), having a big spinning-ring as his weapon, starts driving in circles to give his weapon the time to spin up. Both Tails and Die-Ceratops start a lot more assertive and head for 3-6-0. Good lord, Cooper seems trapped by his opponents. In a last resort he tries to sneak his machine through the two wedges. He didnt expect his two 2WD opponents to be THIS maneuverable though and both Die-Ceratops as Tails have their noses aimed towards 3-6-0 already. Die-Ceratops long wedge is swept away and damaged by that spinning ring, but Tails manages to pull through and finds itself underneath 3-6-0! Its one straight line towards the side-wall for Steve, where Steve decides to use his flipper, leaving 3-6-0 standing on its side against the wall. The full body spinner shows how its ring serves as an excellent extra wheel, and before Tails can turn around to use its spinning blade, 3-6-0 slides along the arena wall away from the front-hinged flipper, towards the corner where the collision might just cause the machine to land back on its wheels.
CLASH
NO! 3-6-0 is slammed back a bit, but still stands sidewards! Cooper puts his ring in reverse for the sake of hitting the other corner, but Steve outsmarts him. He places Tails in 3-6-0s way to act as a ramp. 3-6-0 cant steer away, and stops its disc in its attempt to stay safe from the comedybot. Coopers finger nudges the reverse button, but Die-Ceratops copies Tails trick, and now stands in the other corner, awaiting 3-6-0. Cooper is in a nasty position, where he needs to choose between driving over one flipper or the other. Mason however wants to make the decision a bit easier, as he drives towards 3-6-0. Steve knows what Die-Ceratops is capable of and drives out of the way now :P. 3-6-0 is wedged... carefully... driven towards the side-wall... and... AND...

Die-Ceratops Re-Invertus vs Forklift 2
3... 2... 1... Activate!
Forklift spins up its 6 wheels, as Die-Ceratops does the same thing, well, with 4 wheels less of course. Martyn drives Forklift forward, thinking that his low forks and great traction will get him underneath Die-Ceratops anytime. What Martyn didnt realize though, is that Die-Ceratops is very maneuverable, and when Martyn thinks he has his nemesis, said nemesis moves out of the way when Forklift attacks, making the latter flip nothing but air. Die-Ceratops is backing off now, scared by Forklifts initial aggression. Martyn doesnt back off though, and smoothly drives towards that big flipping device. Chris does some nifty steering again, but with the arena wall closing in on him, he cant dodge this attack. Forklift comes in sideways, gets underneath Die-Ceratops, and flips! Die-Ceratops flies in the air, his underbelly pointing to the sky, and lands, on its wheels again, like only a WBC-like flipper can do. Die-Ceratops is far from save now, with Forklift closing in, so close to the wall that Chris is feeling his machine might be extincted soon. Forklift comes, almost wedging Die-Ceratops, when Chris fires his flipper to invert his machine, away from danger. Die-Ceratops turns around, facing Forklift, who turned on the defensive now in fear of that big flipper. Die-Ceratops dances around Forklift to find that opportunity to use its weapon, with Forklift decently answering by keeping its forks facing the opposition. Die-Ceratops turns, 360 degrees, and Forklifts 6 wheels cant respond in time! Die-Ceratops hits the rear wedge, where there are no skirts to keep Forklift save. Chris fires, and this time Forklift bites the dust, and hits the ground. Forklift hasnt got the advantage of invertability, and relies on its flipper to make him mobile again. AND SO IT HAPPENS! Forklift is back in the game, though Martyn isnt very pleased by the sudden turn this match just made. Forklift goes on the attack, as does Die-Ceratops Re-Invertus. The bots collide, and Die-Ceratops comes out on top, on top of Forklifts flipper that is :proud:. FLIP! Die-Certops, inverted again, drives around the incoming Forklift again, and can be found at Forklifts backside, again! Die-Ceratops flips (again), leaving Forklift on its back. The flip has been made from a less successful angle though, making Forklift land darn close to Die-Ceratops, which Chris doesnt mind at all, since he can now get back at Forklift before it can self-right :proud:. Die-Ceratops wedges the stranded Forklift, who activates its srimech, and... WOAW! The combined power of Die-Ceratops flipping Forklift and Forklift flipping itself.... its huge! Forklift flies several meters through the air in an Axe-Awe like motion, and over the fence to be more precisely :proud:.

ForcePower 5.0 vs Tails
3... 2... 1... Activate!
Well, we know the drill. ForcePower accelerates like lightning, and actually has the higher top speed in todays fight too. Tails drives away from square 1 too. ForcePower wants to show Tail whos boss ASAP, turns a bit, and rams his wedge straight underneath Tails no problem whatsoever. CLANG. Tails hits the arena wall, brutally. Andy smiles for drawing first blood, and aims for the pit-release button. Tails follows, closely, seeing his chances are best when the pits still closed. His attempts dont stop ForcePower from hitting the button with full force. It does, however, earn him a chance to wedge ForcePower, and flip him, standing on its wedge against the arena wall. Steve thinks he might just have won the match, and sees whether or not ForcePower will stay stranded as it is. The surface its standing on, that wedge of his, literally has a surface of 0 mm^2 however, making it not stand very solid, and ForcePower slides down along the wall, to fight another day. ForcePower accelerates, and the prepared Tails maneuvers around it. The powerful rambot takes a few meters before it can turn around for another attack, which is also dodged by Tails :proud:. Tails is playing with ForcePower like a matador does with a bull! ForcePower turns around... OL‰! Tails did it again! Steve knows all this dodging wont win him this match, it might only win him points for control and style would it go to a judge decision, and as a matter of fact, those 2 factors are the least decisive ones. When ForcePower comes in for the next ram, Steve shows just how good a driver he is, when he doesnt only dodge the rambot, but also gets to its side, and does another flip! Tails turns around to hit the invertible machine with that blade, and actually gets a good hit in against one of the hinges of ForcePowers wedge! Its seriously buckled, but that doesnt scare Andy off. With Tails being this close, Andy turns his machine no problem and rams Tails side, with power, against the wall. Tails is actually thrown into the air on impact, vertically however, so theres no fear of going OOTA :proud:. ForcePower drives back for another hit... and... OL‰! Matador Steve did it again :proud:. Andys becoming sick of this and reverses, quite a bit, moving the battle closer to the pit. Steve answers, and closes in on ForcePower, wedge first. Tails meets ForcePower and thanks to a quick reaction from Andy, he isnt wedged completely. That is... FPs left IS wedged completely, while the right side hangs over Tails side and touches the ground. Tails flips, and ForcePower topples, sideways, and is inverted. Steve turns around as he sees a good chance to hit ForcePowers other hinge! CRASH! He succeeds in damaging it. However, and despite being constantly hit by that blade, ForcePower does wedge Tails, and drives it forward. Wait a sec... theres the pit! Steve cant do anything against all that power, and in mere seconds he falls down the pit! But whats that? Something comes down with it! Its ForcePowers hinged wedge that apparently DID suffer seriously from does hits! Andy doesnt seem to mind though, when he hears the word...

WOOSH! ForcePower shoots across the arena and smashes into Die-Ceratops head-on, with Chris still looking where he left his controller. A, he found it. Die-Ceratops moves backwards, away from danger, gaining time to breath. ForcePower doesnt give him that time though, he moves around the side of Re-Invertus and shoves that flipper across the arena at a great pace. The wall, and especially the pit-release button, closing in, Chris fires his flipper to throw himself off ForcePower. Die-Ceratops lands on its other side and darts away from ForcePower again. Andy doesnt seem thrown off by this, since it was that button he was going for all along. With a loud crash, ForcePower hits the button, wedge first, end reverses... but wtf?! ForcePowers wedge is stuck underneath the button! What a power that machine must have! Die-Ceratops smells blood, it turns around and slips underneath its nemesis. The flipper activates instantly and... well... stuck as it was, ForcePower hardly goes up. It is loose now however, and Andy thanks Chris for that with another ram, straight against the arena wall. Chris turns around, and now its ForcePower who reverses. Chris gets to the rambots side nonetheless, and it activates that flipper! ForcePower flies through the air! It rolls over like a barrel, and back onto its wheels, as ever. Die-Ceratops charges over, but ForcePower is thundering back into action already. The two machines collide, head-on, and its ForcePower who slams its way underneath Die-Ceratops this time. The flipper uses its weapon again trying to get away, though this time it doesnt help him at all as Die-Ceratops still is in front of ForcePower. Andy seems to be going for a Storm-like OOTA, and seeing the power at his disposal, he might succeed! Die-Ceratops hits the wall, moves up... and... and... CHRIS FIRES HIS FLIPPER TO LEVER HIMSELF BACK INTO THE ARENA. BRILLIAN! Not only that, but he also ends up at the back of ForcePower. Dante vs FBSDS vs Obliteration
Dante: A very unique design. Dante looks like a non-invertible axlebot compromised of a very though frame-network rather than armour-plates. The insides are seeable, but hardly reachable thanks to this frame. It€™s offense is a heavy vertical spinning disc.
FBSDS: A very classic full-body spinner design. The shell weigh 35 kg, spins around at 3456 RPM and is powered by an ETEK, need I say more :proud:.
Obliteration: Good lord, we have a serious SPINNER FRENZIE coming up today :proud:. Obliteration is yet another full-body spinner, and while this one spins (and drives) around a bit slower than its opponents, it does have the advantage of being invertible.
3€¦ 2€¦ 1€¦ Activate!
FBSDS has a quick start and aims for Dante right away. Dante himself is running too, and doesn€™t mind a quick confrontation with one of his two full-body spinning opponents. FBSDS€™s weapon looking more impressive; Dante€™s smaller disc definitely has the better acceleration, and woaw! the machines meet head on!
CRASH!
Holt€™s 2WD-creation is the less stabile of the two and is send rocking from the left to the right, while MacWilliams€™ machine is only swept up a tiny bit. Chris sees the two machines coming out unharmed and joins the fray now. Much to Holt€™s displeasure, Obliteration too is driving towards Dante! Holt is annoyed, but by no means scared. Dante turns, faces Obliteration, and once again Dante feels how it is to go disco-to-disc.
CRASH!
Sparks are send flying, and so a small piece of metal! Dante€™s disc is stopped by this clash, and seemingly unharmed. Obliteration seems to be the one who just shed his skin a bit. It€™s still spinning around though, suggesting nothing critical was damaged. MacWilliams woke up again, seeing Dante busy with Obliteration, and comes in for a side assault right now. He isn€™t lucky, since Holt just reverses for his planned assault on Obliteration. FBSDS only manages to nudge Dante€™s wheel abit, not very worthy for me to write down another €œcrash!€Â, is it?:proud: A piece of tire can be seen lying on the ground though, effectively peeing Holt off :proud:. Obliteration and FBSDS regroup right now and are seriously playing tag-team-terror against Dante. The latter drives a big circle around the duo, looking for a gap to attack. FBSDS isn€™t planning on providing this gap, and rams straight into Dante.
CRASH!
Dante€™s wheel is hit, and a serious slice can be seen in it! Holt is worried, and MacWilliams€™ is pleased. FBSDS sees its spinning body stalled, but still has superior traction to slam Dante into the wall. Dante turns around quickly, its disc still spinning, and now hits FBSDS. The angle ain€™t very effective, but still sends FBSDS up and away and frees Dante. Dante heads after Obliteration just while Obliterations happens to be heading for the fray himself. Dante comes in, 22 mph, and sends Obliteration upwards, even getting underneath him a bit!
CRASH!
Obliterion flies backwards, the weapon damaged but still spinning up. Obliteration goes forward again and, WHAT? Obliteration is hobbling around! Dante€™s attack must have reached on of the wheels. Amazing. FBSDS is annoyed by the unexpected toughness of Dante and aggressively comes flying in at Dante€™s back! Dante€™s frame seems to bend abit and the whole robot is swung aside.

Novastorm 2: This machine would have made the spinner frenzie you just saw complete. Novastorm 2 has a vertical spinning producing 78 kJ of energy. Furthermore, it has a rear-lifter/srimech, and 10 mm titanium of armour.
Wedge Devolution: The famous wedge-flipper. Wedge Devo is a wedge€¦ with a flipper. Simple, huh? It€™s also well-armed and well-skirted, so watch out.
Wild Thing S4: Wild Thing, you make my heart sing. This is the last realie we€™ll see in this tournament. This machine did really well in the 4th series of Robotwars were it earned itself a place among the final 8 with some help of that high wedge, flipping arm and maneuverability. But won€™t this 80 kg-wonder be outclassed by the machines we see nowadays?
3€¦ 2€¦ 1€¦ Activate
Wedge Devo comes out the starting square fairly quick, and he has set its sights on€¦ the pit-release button? Wroowwwwrowwwwwrowwwwwwrowwww, the siren says (courtesey of Frank for making up the sound). Novastorm has also put its engines to use by now, and rams Wedge straight against its back.

Wild Thing now comes in for an attack himself, but that lifting spike he has can€™t find its way underneath Wedge€™s side-skirt. Novastorm 2 comes slamming in again as subtle as a bull in a China shop :proud:.
CRASH!
Novastorm came in straight between Wedge and Wild Thing. Wedge is slammed away, it€™s side dented. Wild Thing isn€™t as lucky. It is not only slammed away, but also has its side totally ripped off! Wedge and Novastorm now both turn their attention to the battle-scarred Wild Thing. Novastorm is the faster of the two and reaches the realie, but€¦ the realie also reaches Novastorm! The spike gets underneath and€¦ while receiving a good hit€¦ Wild Thing does manage to get Novastorm on its back! Wedge Devo comes in now, and easily slams its weapon under Wild Thing€¦ FLIP! And while Novastorm has just self-righted, it€™s Wild Thing who€™s on its back now. Wedge Devo isn€™t done yet though, he rams Wild Thing, straight against the wall, and€¦ FLIP! OOTA!

Round 2
Fight 1
Dante vs Novastorm 2
3... 2... 1... Activate!
Spinners surely feel at home in this heat :proud:. This time around we see the diagonal spinning disc of Dante getting up to speed fairly quick. Novastorms bars a bit slower at this though, and Tony drives backwards a bit to buy him the time he needs. Alex doesnt give him that much time though, and Dante hurls towards Novastorm. Tony skillfully drives backward even further, keeping Dante in front of his machine, and then... suddenly drives forwards!
CRASH!
Novastorms blade deals a good hit against Dantes disc. Novastorm moves upwards, doing a bit of a Mauler-esque dance. Dante is in more trouble though. The oddly armored machine is knocked sideways, and rolls over, ending up inverted. Alex is mildly worried but knows hell always have a lovely srimech to rely on. Tony regains control of Novastorm again, right in time to launch another attack on the now back-onto-its-wheels Dante :proud:. The bar-spinner comes in at great pace, but Dante is having none of it and drives clear out of its path. Now at Novastorms side, Dante turns a bit to hit its opponent. A little nudge at Novastorms side-skirt is the result. A little rattle is heard and Novastorms skirt levers up into the air. Alex sees an opening in Novastorms defenses now and turns around for an all-out side-attack.
CRASH!
Novastorms skirt flies off completely!
CRASH!
Dante keeps on going, this time almost shredding Novastorms side away from its framework, and throwing Novastorm into the air! Novastorms belly goes up, its back hits the ground. Tony activates his lifter/srimech, and self-rights, but not before Dante can give that one extra nudge.
CRASH!
Novastorm, now made a bit more... asymmetrical, is now back onto its wheels and momentarily out of danger. Dante aims up, but Tony decides he has better things to do than facing that weapon again. Novastorm heads for the pit-release button! Wroowwwwrowwwwwrowwwwwwrowwww says the siren, down goes the pit :proud:. Novastorm rushes towards the pit, wanting to have words with Dante right there, right now. Dante responds, clearly going for the already damaged side of Novastorm. Novastorm dodges, Dante holds back. Both machines aim their weapons, Dante attacks. Novastorm dodges backwards and turns around. Novastorms back now happens to face Dantes side. Novastorms wedges Dante and activates its lifter. Dante tries to drive off, but Novastorm is already lining up towards the pit. Dantes off! Well, thats the good news, the bad news is that he is already bloody close to the pit. Alex knows it, Tony knows it, and its the latter who makes the most of it :proud:. Novastorm goes in reverse, and manages to nudge Dante into the pit of oblivion.

Heat H
Round 2
Fight 2
FBSDS vs Wedge Devolution
3... 2... 1... Activate!
Wedge Devolution is off for a great start in todays fight ladies and gentlemen! FBSDS is having less of a great start however, as the full-body spinner turns left and drives as far away from Wedge as possible. This isnt, however, because Alex is a coward, not at all, Alex merely wants his weapon to spin up to full speed before facing his opponent, who is heading for it at full speed. Wedge puts that extra speed and acceleration it has over FBSDS to good use and clashes its extended wedge underneath FBSDSs body before it reached that 3456 mph top speed. Steve activates its weapon, slightly swept away by the low-to-the-ground teeth of FBSDS. The spinner rolls over and hits the ground. Wedge Devo makes a 360 and heads towards FBSDS, whos just started self-righting. Devo wedges FBSDS and heads for the arena-wall. Steve isnt very pleased when he finds FBSDS on top of it completely and sliding away via its back! The flipper reverses immediately and tries to push FBSDS to the other corner of the arena. The latters srimech however pushes FBSDS away from Wedges back and onto its wheels. Again backing off, with that ring already spinning, Alex now again tries to manage before the already-turning-around Wedge can do something against it. Alex succeeds, and this time a recklessly incoming Wedge is swept away when it tries to fire that flipper. FBSDS tilts up a bit but not enough for an actual flip. Wedge Devo has its back turned towards its opponent after that hit, very much to Alex pleasure.
CRASH!
FBSDS is having a go at Wedges backside, both machines flying away from the other on impact. Luckily for Steve, it has a very much sacrifice-able (well, at least for this fight ;)) skirt mounted back there, which flies away immediately. Wedge Devo regains control a bit sooner than FBSDS, whos got to deal with the gyroscopic forces caused by its weapon. The Wedge heads for the spinner, very steadily, not taking any risks. The back-into-control spinner now takes the same approach, not wanting to be flipped on its back again. Wedge keeps facing FBSDS with its wedge no matter what the spinner does, and knowing he cant get around that spinning body, Steve tries his luck and attacks it. That extended wedge slides under FBSDSs teeth, followed up by a well-timed flip! FBSDS, knocking Wedge Devo away slightly, flies up and hits its back. Steve makes that 360 yet again and wastes no time dealing with FBSDS. Before that srimech does its job, Wedge carries FBSDS to a wall nearby, and activates that bloody flipper!

ROUND 3
Novastorm 2 VS WEDGE DEVOLUTION
Stay away from that nasty spinner, for one thing. Ive got the greater control, so I should be able to get under a side where I cant be slashed and flip it over. The rear lifter sounds like itd take a while to self-right it, so that should hopefully give me enough time to get it to the arena wall and flip one outta the park.
Oh dang...
...Erm, try to get it from the sides, avoid the flipper, avoid the pit, avoid infusion, eat some salt and vinegar potato chips which I smell for some reason...
Heat H
Heat Final
Novastorm 2 vs Wedge Devolution
3€¦ 2€¦ 1€¦ Activate!
Out of the four spinning menaces this heat had at the start, only one is left. Its name is Novastorm, its fame is sheer smashing up :proud:. Tony spins up his weapon as usual, as Steve starts spinning up his wheels. Wedge Devo makes a nice arc throughout the arena attempting to meet Novastorm at its side. Novastorm turns its blade towards Wedge Devo and jumps backwards in an attempt to survive that mighty flipper. Tony succeeds, and now Wedge backs off a bit as well to deal with a hungry Novastorm. And hungry pretty much describes the spinner€™s mood :proud:. Novastorm comes in now and before Wedge can drive away, takes a bit out of its front corner! Spraks are send flying as well as two robots, away from each other that is. A serious dent can be seen in Wedge€™s armour. A shocked Steven keeps on reversing. Novastorm again shows who the fastest machine in today€™s fight is as he catches in on Wedge, but WEDGE on the other hand now shows who the more maneuverable robot is by dodging Novastorm€™s blade and attacking its side. Novastorm is defending himself fiercely though and turns itself to the flipper who just so happens to be sliding that extended wedge underneath its skirts. Steve flicks his flipper-button, while Tony is still steering to get that hit in. The flipper goes up, Novastorm goes around€¦ and€¦
CRASH!
WHOA! Novastorm managed to hit Wedge before being thrown away by that flipper. Novastorm is stranded on its back, seemingly helpless. But what happened to Devo? Its flipper got hit by that nasty spinning blade, and seemingly its Bigger Brother-style flipping plate came loose, still bolted on the wedge at one point€¦ slightly, this€™ll surely count against Wedge will this go to the judges. That hit also gives Novastorm plenty of time to self-right before Wedge can come in again, even though Wedge is damn close by the time Novastorm gets back on its feet, ready to drive out of Wedge€™s way. Wedge turned around, more careful than ever, being hit by that blade and all, and tries to catch Novastorm while staying safe from its blade. Novastorm is doing the opposite, it tries to keep Wedge away from safety while bringing that blade in :proud:. This results in two robots dancing around each other a bit, a bit boring really. Boring€¦ until Steve decides to put his extra maneuverability to good use again and does some unexpected turning around Novastorm€™s side. Tony is nowhere near reacting fast enough and sees his skirts penetrated by Steve€™s excellently designed flipper yet again. FA-LIP! Not only is Wedge€™s flipper well-designed, it also has some power behind it :proud:. Novastorm finds itself airborne quite a while before hitting its backside again, Wedge rushing in immediately. Novastorm activates its srimech, also immediately, though Wedge€™s 16 mph top speed is just a little more impressive than Novastorms rear lifter. Hence, Wedge wedges Novastorm even before it self-righted, and slams it straight against the arena wall. Tony€™s lifter now only works it against the wall rather than back on its feet. Wedge Devo€™s flipper however, works it€¦ up into the air, and over the fence.

THE SEMI-FINALS!!!
The lineup coming asap
Mechanical Noise - Series 1; What the hell is going on?
That€™s right guys; my tournament, often great in all my greatness, often delayed in all my laziness, has reached its semi-final stage. This means no less than that out of the 48 robots that entered this tournament, only 8 are left. All 8 have proven themselves by winning their own heat, but how will they fare against their fellow heat-winner?
First of all, lets see who got this far
Way back in Heat A, Black Panther Queen impressed the crowd by€¦
-Pounding away on Cosmic Thunder 2, with some help of Yet Another Cut Above The Rest
-Flipping Judo Chop! OOTA
-Flipping Yet Another Cut Above The Rest OOTA, as well
It was in Heat B where Flank Attack came out on top, by€¦
-Beating Mega Masher 2 to pulp, with lotsa help from Tengu VII
-Delivering Love Bite V 2.0 to the bottom of the pit
-Pitting Tengu VII as well
Then there was Heat C, which had Disco 5 as its winner, by€¦
-Beating OmniForce on a JD, together with Going Crunch
-Destroying Whirligig 4.0€™s shuffling-pads.
-Leaving both halves of Going Crunch immobilized
Heat D was the next heat, Clawdius Decimus Murderous was the next machine to reach the semies, by€¦
-Dunking SUNCUST into the pit, while The Windmill was looking approvingly
-Immobilizing Panicking, through pitting
-Pitting GeForce 4.0 as well, in a tense battle
Heat E is where this tournament got delayed, bug time. It€™s also where Psyclonised beat its opponents through€¦
-Smashing Slammer around together with Cyberdemon, until the judges couldn€™t take it any longer
-Killing Wind Chaser
-Giving Cyberdemon a good smashing
Next came Heat F, where Achilles was victorious by€¦
-Flipping Cacodemon OOTA together with his fellow-flipper Orka MK4
-Flipping 13Black onto its back, and, as if that wasn€™t enough, flipping it OOTA too
-Flipping Orka MK4 OOTA, clean and simple
Heat G came along, Die-Ceratops Re-Invertus took all the money, by€¦
-OOTAing 3-6-0, alongside Tails
-Flipping Forklift 2 over the fence
-Flipping ForcePower 5.0 up and over as well
Ultimately, Wedge Devolution took the final spot in Heat H by€¦
-Flipping the outdated Wild Thing S4 OOTA alongside Novastorm 2
-Flipping FBSDS OOTA next
-Flipping (you could have guessed it :proud:) Novastorm 2 OOTA too
And now, the semi-final lineups
Achilles vs Wedge Devolution
ff6000>Flank Attack vs Psyclonised
Clawdius Decimus Murderous vs Disco 5
ff6000>Black Panther Queen vs Die-Ceratops Re-Invertus
Gimme your predictions, gimme your tactics, gimme your thoughts :proud:
SEMI-FINALS
1) Achilles VS WEDGE DEVOLUTION
Bugger. Attempt to outmanouvre the ol warhorse and try n stick the flipper under the corners of the skirts. Hopefully, theyll give me the best chance of getting under. Flip over and dash underneath before it can self-right. Drive to the nearest wall and flip with all my carbon dioxide-fuelled might!
2) Flank Attack VS Psychlonised
Flanky pulls off a little surprise to grapple n pit Andys spinner.
3) CLAWDIUS DECIMUS MURDEROUS VS Disco 5
Avoid the rear disc where I can and try to get the front flat spikes under those side-skirts. Get a tight hold where I can (If Im lucky, I can get the claw into the electronics when the flipper gets fired) and drag towards the ol black hole
4) Black Panther Queen VS Die-Ceratops ReInvertus
Could be close, but the Panthers greater agility could see Die-Ceratops in the primordial soup.
Its been a cracking debut tournament, Marti and it can only get better. :proud:
Oh...my...god...
Achilles vs Wedge Devolution
Errrrg...two good vapours here...too good...both can take advantage of the other if hes flipped, and both have good speed...but Im going to give it to Achilles because of that awesome pushing power, which is good if they meet head-on and neither is able to get under the other.
Flank Attack vs Psyclonised
Ooh...another toughie, but less tough than the last one. If Psyclonizsed can damage Flank Attack enough, then hes okay, but if Flank Attack gets in just ONE clamp, then thats it. Ill take Flank Attack to win this one.
Clawdius Decimus Murderous vs Disco 5
This may look hard, but its really easy for Clawdius to win here. All he has to do is to grab Disco 5...from anywhere! Then dump him into the pit. Only if Disco gets under Clawdius can he nab a win, and then hes got to keep Clawdius on his back.
Black Panther Queen vs Die-Ceratops Re-Invertus
Ouch. BPQ has a flipper, an axe, pushing power, and good speed. Die-Ceratops has a huge flipper. BPQ should win this if he gets in the side or back. If Die-Ceratops gets under BPQ, then yeah Die-Ceratops will win. My prediction however will be BPQ.
Really good line-ups, Martijn, and should be even better as the finals progress! :proud:
Hmm, Psyclonised. This is a toughie. Thankfully, from what I gather, Psyclonised isnt as destructive as Tengu (I think), or just as destructive. Drawing from past experience, I was able to take Tengu down just by keeping my claws facing him and never giving him a shot at my wheels. Basically thats what I intend to do here. As long as he doesnt get on my wheels, Im pretty much fine, since my claws dont house any electronics and I have a giant plow on the front that can stand up to punishment. As soon as I can get in my claws and stuck (maybe even high center him on my plow like against Tengu!), then hes pretty much done for ;)
Achilles vs Wedge Devolution
I can totally see Achilles going through, and yet I still think that Wedge Devolution will take this one. Not sure why.
Clawdius Decimus Murderous vs Disco 5
Disco will be for an uphill challange here, but if hes able to flip CDM and then attack with the spinner he has a good chance.
Black Panther Queen vs Die-Ceratops Re-Invertus
DCRI needs to get under BPQ, but its going to be extremely hard. If he does it, though, hell take the OOTA on through.
Clawdius Decimus Murderous vs Disco 5
erm.... Hope for the best really. Go in disc first and try and cause damage and see if the disc can flip it. Then use the wedge and flipper to keep it on its back and try and dump it in the pit. If it tries to self right smack it hard with the disc in the hope of breaking the srimech.
Flank Attack vs Psyclonised
Erm, yeah I forgot really what both of these are like, but never mind. I guess spin up and take it apart, rip some wheels off, eat some cheese... its all good. Oh look, and elephant!
and through msn, Ive also received mr Holts tactics :proud:
Achilles vs Wedge Devolution
Use the CO2 setup, and basically use the same tactics as Steve does
-1>Attempt to outmanouvre the ol warhorse and try n stick the flipper under the corners of the skirts. Hopefully, theyll give me the best chance of getting under. Flip over and dash underneath before it can self-right. Drive to the nearest wall and flip with all my carbon dioxide-fuelled might!
Only with more ramming involved
Black Panther Queen vs Die-Ceratops Re-Invertus
Hit and run and outmanouvre. Attack with both weapons in the hope of knocking something loose
