NSBFLX-2
Tim, no it isnt. I tried deleting the post but it dindt work.
Boo! Mwahahaha! €¦What, you€™re not scared? Hmph. Welcome to the start of NSBFL X-2. We€™ll be starting off with the tag team tournament, won last year by Megalodon Man-Eater and Battle Raptor 3.
In our first bout, we go to the Roulette arena, where two teams any Brit in their right mind would hate are about to meet.
In the red corner, we have Shovearound 2 and FBSDS, representing Anthony and Alex M & W from America (boo hiss). They€™re hoping to gain victories with a combination of pushing power, brick armour and destructive tendencies to hopefully make the perfect combination.
In the blue corner, we have the infamous SpinVerter 4 from Australia, who we don€™t like because they always beat us in cricket, and we have the famous Metal Sonic Spin Dash from Scotland, who never beat us in anything but we don€™t like them anyway for some reason. Like their opponents, they use a mish mash style of either damaging opponents, or pushing them and flipping them into orbit, or possibly Wriggly€™s. Peppermint preferably, spearmint tastes like toothpaste.

And they€™re off! Starting off are MSSD and Shoveraround, and it€™s the battle of the pushers. The two have a similar turn of speed, so they meet in the arena centre. With Steve being the more experienced driver, MSSD gets the first glimpse of an attack, but Shoveraround reverses quickly, then slams into MSSD€™s side! The forks don€™t slide under the skirt, but MSSD is still pushed sideways over a pit which fails to open.
MSSD gets away, spins around and pushes into Shovearound€™s side now. MSSD is equally unlucky whereas skirt breaching is concerned, but this time it is Tony€™s turn for his machine to be pushed around, and Shovearound finds itself neatly deposited in the PPZ, where no house robots are currently patrolling, so Shovearound is able to escape before any of the house robots get near.
With both robots having a total of one failed attack each, Tony decides to spice things up by tagging in FBSDS, which has had plenty of time since the bout started to spin up completely. MSSD moves towards the approaching FBSDS at first, but then backs off and tags in SpinVerter. SpinVerter takes off out of the tag square and carefully approaches FBSDS, catching the spinner on the edge of the scoop!
Both robots are spun away on impact, with SpinVerter going perilously close to a pit, and FBSDS going over one, but not falling down As Alex€™s luck is in. SpinVerter recovers first and makes a beeline for FBSDS, getting under and throwing the full body spinner up and away! FBSDS sails over the PPZ, hits the top of the wall and bounces out! Victory for Tom is short lived though, as the sensor in the pit registers SpinVerter€™s presence, activates the random release and sends SpinVerter down!
Shooting wry looks at each other from their pods, Steve and Tony move their now partner-less machines out of the corners and meet in the arena centre. Tony takes a chance and tries to get under the front of MSSD. Forks meet wedge, and wedge prevails as Shovearound is moved backwards! The saw of MSSD hits Shovearound in a shower of white sparks, btu nto doing much damage to the thick armour as Shovearound is pushed backwards into the PPZ!
Shovearound is attacked by Uncle Tomahawk, and takes several axe blows before The Militant also wades in and sends Shovearound spinning out of the PPZ with a blow of its flywheel! Shovearound isn€™t too damaged, but MSSD comes in again, managing to get under the skirt a little. The saw helps the rest of the way, flicking the skirt up in a shower of more white sparks, and Shovearound is pushed back into the PPZ, only to be knocked out again by The Militant!
Knowing he can use the saw to get under Shovearound, Steve isn€™t as cautious as he should be on the next attack, and it is Shovearound who wins the next exchange of manoeuvrings, not getting under MSSD, but still pushing it over a pit that doesn€™t open! MSSD slips away and attacks the skirt of Shovearound again, slipping under as the saw bats the skirt upwards. Steve carefully pushes MSSD under Shovearound before it can get away, making sure to align the saw with the wheels of shovearound as he pushes it into the PPZ once more!
This time Shovearound is pushed into the bucket scoop of Flipup, and overturned! The skirts flop down as Shovearound makes its escape, but it€™s noticeably hobbling as MSSD has taken a chunk out of its tyre! MSSD gets under the front of the upturned Shovearound and pushes it over a pit, which doesn€™t open. MSSD runs over the pit, turns around and pushes Shovearound back over the pit, and this time it does open, sending Shovearound down, ironically on top of SpinVerter. For a laugh Tom tries to flip Shovearound back out, but it doesn€™t quite work.
Yours winners, by OOTA and pitting, SpinVerter and Metal Sonic Spin Dash!

NSBFLX-2
Nuts. Completley owned. Oh well, Ive still got plenty of other events...
And why do so many people mistake Alex to be american?
-
NSBFLX-2
Because he is? Nice opening, Frank, looking forward to my battles.
I shall now resume my laughing at Tim accusing someone of spamming.
Good day! :)
-
NSBFLX-2
No I just thought being a brilliant spammer that I am that I thought that was spam its just like typing down bogies.
-
NSBFLX-2
Im Dutch, AJ, thank you very much.
-
NSBFLX-2
...well, Tims not making much sense, so Im just going to do the Victory Dance
Great to see you back in action again, Frank :)
-
NSBFLX-2
Terribly sorry about that Alex. And maybe its just because Ive been playing a game with a really bad translation, but Tims sorta making sense:crazy:
-
NSBFLX-2
Frank playing Zero Wing? Never would have guessed that in a million years.
-
NSBFLX-2
Not as bad as Zero Wing. And by the way, anyone doing those lame All Your Base jokes will be kicked out of the tournament, hunted down and destroyed with extreme prejudice. No jury would convict me.
-
NSBFLX-2
All Your Woot Will Belong To Me...
I shall now resume wondering why Alex complimented me at calling him American. Oh, and also go and flick some more bogies at Tim.
Good day! :)
-
NSBFLX-2
Frank you just hate people with better jokes than yourself :lame:
-
NSBFLX-2
No I meant bogies is spam just on its own I dont want bogies thrown at me.:new::-)
-
NSBFLX-2
What was that Timmy?
Did you say all your bases belong to Frank?
You did, oh-dear, time to call the FPF (Frankie Police Force)
-
NSBFLX-2
What are you talking about?
-
NSBFLX-2
I could ask the same thing to you, Tim. :proud:
-
NSBFLX-2
OK, no Zero Wing jokes.
Theyre Not Winner!

Welcome to our second tag team bout, taking place in the Last €˜Bot Standing arena. Let€™s meet our teams.
In the green corner, we have Mega Masher 2 and Leprosy Infection from Chris Mason. Both are similar in their philosophy of damaging and pushing the opponents around, with Leprosy being the bigger damager and Mega Masher being the better pusher. Will they push and slice their way to victory?
In the yellow corner, we have Panicking and Disco 5 from team Martyn. In a true clash of styles, Panicking hopes to lift and shove enemies while Disco 5 aims to slice them to bits with its fearsome flywheel, or possibly flip them over with its self righting flipping arm.
Starting off are Leprosy Infection and Disco 5.

And here we go! Leprosy is the faster machine, but it€™s Disco 5 with the better acceleration, and straight away Martyn is aiming for the side of Leprosy, just catching it with the disc as Chris tries to get it out of the way, bouncing Leprosy up in a shower of white sparks! Martyn quickly turns Disco around as the disc revs up again and catches Leprosy full on the side, knocking it completely up and over! Disco pushes forwards, battering away at the side of Leprosy!
Leprosy is knocked head over heels as Martyn keeps Disco chasing after it, catching it with blow after blow and battering it across the arena, with not a darn thing Chris can do about it! A respite comes when Leprosy is bounced off a wall and away from Disco€™s charge! In a credit to sturdy building and good armour, Leprosy still seems to be running well, despite the buckled and torn side armour, and Chris spends a second working out which way up his robot is before heading to the tag corner to send Mega Masher into the fray!
Mega Masher goes straight after Disco, and manages to get its front wedge under Disco€™s own! The front flywheel is lifted up where it can€™t do anything, and Disco is slammed backwards into the arena wall, pushing it further onto Mega Masher€™s wedge. With Disco€™s wheels spinning helplessly in the air, it is pushed into the green corner and dislodged, before Leprosy slams into Disco€™s side, tipping it over with the drum! The upside down Disco is pushed into the wall by Leprosy as it tries to self right, and pushed base first against the wall!
Panicking comes out now, and lifts Disco away from the wall. This is technically legal as Disco had been immobilised, but Refbot gives Panicking a yellow card anyway. As Disco heads to the yellow corner, Panicking lifts over Leprosy, trying to strand it against the wall, but it slips down and heads off, before turning and running back at Panicking! Panicking gets the forks under Leprosy€™s front, but Leprosy continues forwards and crashes into Panicking€™s front with a crash!
Although Panicking€™s driver is pushing the button to raise the forks, nothing is happening, and Panicking is pushed backwards by Leprosy! This only goes on for a second though. Panicking€™s weapon may have been broken, but it still has the greater traction and horsepower, and Leprosy is edged backwards! Rather than be pushed back, Leprosy reverses, turns and reverses into the tag corner to get Mega Masher out there! As Leprosy reverses, we can see the damage the drum has done, and the forks of Panicking are hanging limp and half coming out.
As Mega Masher comes out, Panicking decides discretion to be the better part of valour, and makes a beeline for the yellow corner, and in comes Disco! Disco charges out straight away and connects with the disc on Mega Masher€™s side, knocking it over and opening up a gash in the side armour! Like before, Disco keeps up the pressure, knocking Mega Masher up again! As soon as Mega Masher bounces onto its wheels, its driver takes it away from the next attack, and turns around, bringing its own disc to bear on Disco!
Disco gets a taste of its own medicine, and is knocked upwards and over by the disc of Mega Masher! Immediately the self righting bar flicks up, but Mega Masher attacks again, hitting the bar and knocking Disco up and over again! Fortunately for Martyn€™s team, Disco lands back on its wheels and hurriedly reverses from the next attack, and Mega Masher hits the wall! Martyn gives the self righting arm a fire to see if it€™s still operational, and is pleased to note it is.
That done, Disco charges Mega Masher disc first as it backs away from the wall and spins its disc up. Disco slams into Mega Mashers€™ side near to its disc, and to his delight notes that the disc of Mega Masher is now spinning slowly to a halt! Mega Masher takes another hit and is knocked up and over, before self righting again and quickly tagging in Leprosy! Leprosy charges at Disco, and Disco replies in kind! Disc hits drum with a huge bang, knocking both machines up! Now the disc of Disco isn€™t spinning, and the drum of Leprosy has been jarred from its mount and is hanging out!
Disco retreats and tags in Panicking now, as each combatant has lost its weapon. Panicking comes in and slides its forks under Leprosy. Although useless for lifting, they still give Panicking the leverage to push Leprosy around and into the wall! Not knowing what to do with Leprosy from there, Panicking returns to the yellow corner and tags in Disco once more, who comes out backwards to use the flipper now it won€™t be needed for self righting.
Leprosy charges into Disco€™s side, causing the drum to come away completely! Disco is pushed sideways into the wall, reversing from there, then quickly turning and getting under Leprosy, flipping it up and over! Disco quickly gets under Leprosy again and flips it onto the wall, pushing into it to make sure it is properly stacked before heading off to clash with Mega Masher as it charges out of the green corner like a bat out of heck!
Wedge meets wedge as Disco gets between Mega Masher and the stranded Leprosy, and stalemate. The two spin their wheels against each other for a moment before Disco is pushed slowly backwards. Using a different tactic, Disco reverses, allowing Mega Masher to shoot past. Mega Masher heads for the stranded Leprosy though, but Disco again manages to cut it off and flips it over! Mega Masher self rights as Refbot starts to give Leprosy the ten count!
Mega Masher starts pushing Refbot now, who is between itself and is team mate, hoping to knock one onto the other and so free Leprosy, but Disco gets under Mega Mashers side and flips it again! Mega Masher self rights, but is dangerously near the yellow corner! Making use of a tactic that had previously beaten Panicking, Disco flips Mega Masher onto its team mate and just leaves it there. Refbot finishes counting out Leprosy, as Mega Masher fires its self righting arm repeatedly, trying to unstuck itself, but does not manage so in time. Thirty seconds go down, and team Martyn are the winner via double stranding!
-
NSBFLX-2
Im not trying to complain here, but how exactly was Mega Masher able to get stranded on Leprosy without it either being able to self-right or simply driving off?
-
NSBFLX-2
It was stranded on Panicking, with its base touching Panickings top. It couldnt drive off because its wheels werent touching the floor, and it couldnt self right because it was the right way up. Hope that clears it up.
-
NSBFLX-2
Ahh...I was getting confused over which partener MM was stranded on.

NSBFLX-2
Tag team action continues now as we move into the Classic arena for a fight no-one will probably care about.
In the black square are Chalkie 3-G and Son of Wedgie, representing Team Shadow of Solarised. Chalkie is no longer a cluster €˜bot, but still remains a brick with little in the way of offensive weaponry, but its unique double skirting and brake system make it hard to move. Son of Wedgie is less defensive, but does that matter when you have enough flipping power to send enemies over the wall? Dave can€™t even remember what his robots do, so I doubt he€™s reading.
In the white square are Scotts team of Insecticide and Stratos-Fear, meaning Scott has gone with the more popular combination of one flipper and one spinner, although with Stratos-Fear€™s flipping power, it may do more damage than its partner. Scott€™s never around anyway so I doubt he cares either. This makes me wonder why I bother typing this as I could just give the result. Meh.

Son of Wedgie and Insecticide are starting off this bout. Face with the spinner, Wedgie immediately backtracks and tags in Chalkie as Insecticide advances. Chalkie comes out of the traps, but is blindsided and hit on the side by Insecticide. Both Chalkie and Insecticide are spun away, but Dave slams on Chalkie€™s brakes to regain control quickly, and gets under the side of Insecticide! Although the sword lifter rises, Chalkie can€™t seem to get to grips with the strange shape of Insecticide, and it slides off repeatedly as Chalkie tries to lift it up.
After a quick conference with his team mate, Chalkie darts away from Insecticide and out comes Wedgie to see if it can do anything with Insecticide. Insecticide stays where it is for the moment, allowing the flywheel to spin up, before heading out to meet Wedgie. Wedgie stops, turns around and reverses into the flywheel, spinning both machines away, and Wedgie quickly turns to face Insecticide and charges after it! Scott turns the flywheel to face Wedgie, but it€™s not spun up that much, and while Insecticide is spun away slightly, this merely presents its side to Wedgie.
Wedgie gets underneath the odd robot, and flips, sending Insecticide up and over! Insecticide lands on its side, flops over and is flipped again by Wedgie, then pushed and flipped into the CPZ containing Uncle Tomahawk! The deadly axe flails around, missing Insecticide due to the odd shape, and in fact hitting it with the not so deadly shaft. Insecticide gets out before the driver can improve his aim, dodging around Wedgie€™s charge, and turning to strike the side with its flywheel! Insecticide is spun near to its corner, and tags in Stratos-Fear!
Another quick team conference is going on in Solarised€™s team pod, and they decide Chalkie would be better matched for Scott€™s mighty flipper, and so another tag is made. Chalkie comes out, looking ridiculously outsized against Stratos-Fear, but as wedge meets sword, it€™s the sword that comes out on top, and Stratos-Fear is lifted up and pushed backwards effortlessly against the arena wall! Stratos-Fear flips itself away, and Chalkie catches it, running it into the PPZ containing Uncle Tomahawk! For the second time the house robot goes into action as Chalkie reverses, and hits Stratos-Fear a few times before it reverses away, as Scott uncharacteristically (big word folks:proud:) decides to concentrate on attacking Chalkie rather than the house robots.
Chalkie isn€™t letting up though, getting into the space between flipper and wheel pod and pushing Stratos-Fear sideways! Stratos-Fear fires its flipper to flip itself off of Chalkie, but all that happens is Chalkie has an easy shot at getting under the rear, and lifts the back end of Stratos-Fear up! The flipper fires again, but Stratos-Fear is unable to dislodge itself, as Chalkie pushes it towards the black corner!
Chalkie tags in Wedgie while holding Stratos-Fear in place, for Wedgie to easily slip under the rear of Stratos-Fear, and pushes it towards the wall! The flipper fires, and Stratos-Fear goes end over end, with the rear end resting on top of the wall! The flipper fires as Stratos-Fear tries to dislodge itself, but what happens is that the tip shoots upwards, and gravity pulls Stratos-Fear over the wall, and onto the camera track!
Insecticide comes out again, flywheel buzzing, and Wedgie reverses at it again. Scott tries to swing Insecticide around to catch the side, but the flywheel clips the corner of Wedgie€™s rear end, slightly stalling itself. By the time Wedgie has turned around however, the flywheel is back up to speed, and it slams into Wedgie€™s side, badly denting the armour!
Wedgie turns around to get under the flywheel of Insecticide, but is once again spun away. Wedgie tries again from a different angle, and this time the flywheel skips itself up the wedge and Insecticide is thrown backwards, with its flywheel bouncing off the floor, and allowing Wedgie to come in again before it can recover and flip it into Bane€™s CPZ! Bane manages to catch hold of Insecticide and gives it a good squeeze with all five fingers before releasing and backing off.
Insecticide is a mess. The top has been bent down severely, and the two €œlegs€ connecting the wheel pods to the main body have also been bent inwards. Although the flywheel is still moving at fully power, one of the wheel pods has completely locked up, and the other seems to be going at half speed. Ironically, looking something like an insect on its last legs, Insecticide is barely twitching in circles. The pit descends, and Flipup arrives for disposal duties.
Insecticide is pushed down with the bucket scoop. Then Wedgie pushes Flipup down after it, while Chalkie has already gone after Uncle Tomahawk and flipped that over too. Wedgie heads after The Militant, flips it once against the wall and then again to send it out of the arena! Both Chalkie and Wedgie spin around in victory, but neither fancy the job of tipping over the massive Bane, so both drive into the pit to signal the end of the little fight.
The winners: Chalkie 3-G, Son of Wedgie, and anyone who likes a bit of house robot attacking:proud:

NSBFLX-2
We return to the Roulette arena for the last round 1 tag match.
In the tasteful shade of indigo corner, are Battle Raptor 3 and B2B. Unlike just about every other tag team, Richard and Matt have both decided on well armoured flipping/pushing machines, although Battle Raptor does have the axe as well. They may need the armour, for€¦
€¦In the grey corner is Alex Holt€™s team, consisting of Kali and Tengu 7, which has been around forever but is making its NSBFL debut. Despite his bizarre designs, Alex is being a traditionalist in the sense he has entered one flipper/pusher and one heavy damage dealer.
€¦You€™ve been really unoriginal this year guys:p
3€¦
2€¦
1€¦..
ACTIVATE!!
Kali and B2B are starting off. Both have high acceleration, but as Kali has far superior speed, it is quickly around the pits in the way and going after B2b. However patience overcomes speed in this case, as Kali is fielded and gotten under from the side by B2B, who spins around beneath Kali and pushes it into the tasteful shade of indigo corner, holding it in place for Battle Raptor to axe! Then it€™s off again and Kali is dumped into the PPZ and flipped over!
Kali quickly self rights, but is thrown straight out of the PPZ by Flipup, where it bounces across the arena, bounces over a couple of pits and lands in the PPZ on the opposite side of the arena! Kali self rights again and escapes before Bane can lumber up to it, and charges in to meet B2B again. This time it€™s Kali who gets underneath and flips B2B over. B2B self rights, but Kali gets under as it does and flips B2B over onto a pit, which doesn€™t open.
Getting under B2B again, Kali flips it along the arena, not allowing it to self right or do much of anything, and in a revenge attack, flips B2B straight into Tengu, blasting B2B out of the grey corner, but having the detrimental effect of bouncing Tengu into the PPZ, where Uncle Tomahawk starts to attack! While Kali goes into the PPZ and flips Uncle Tomahawk away from its partner, B2B self rights. Kali reverses into the grey corner, officially making Tengu the legal robot.
Tengu has had plenty of time to spin up again, and is coming after B2B, who comes in to meet it, catching Tengu on the wedge, knocking both machines for a loop! Tengu recovers and goes in to attack again, but once more gets caught on the wedge, not seeming to make much impression on the thick aluminium of the wedge. B2B comes in again, but Tengu is once more spun up, and bounces off with a loud crack!
B2B finally gets under Tengu and flips it over, then rolling it over a pit before it can self right. The pit doesn€™t open, however. B2B comes after Tengu as it self rights off the pit. The pit then opens at B2B€™s approach, but B2B reverses just in time, and now the pit is between B2B and Tengu, so Alex€™s evil spinner has plenty of time to spin up before B2B gets around the pit. Tengu slams into B2B€™s side, spinning itself into the arena centre and almost sending B2B into the PPZ!
Matty decides he€™s had enough for the moment and tags in Battle Raptor. Richard, who has almost fallen asleep in the pod through not getting to do much is nudged awake, and out comes Battle Raptor. Tengu comes in to deal with this new threat. Battle Raptor slams the scoop into Tengu bouncing it away, then turning around to get the axe into play. Tengu comes in to attack again, but the axe fires, catching Tengu and denting the top enough for Battle Raptor to latch on!
Battle Raptor pushes Tengu backwards over a pit, which doesn€™t open. Battle Raptor turns around, trying to drag Tengu with it, but the axe slips out, and Tengu drives forwards, catching Battle Raptor€™s axe shaft. This doesn€™t impede Tengu though, and it drives forwards more, catching the base of Battle Raptor, planting a huge dent in the rear and bouncing it away!
Battle Raptor tries to get the axe back into play, but it isn€™t retracting, and some Co2 escapes with a hissing sound. It looks like one of Tengu€™s blows has disrupted the pneumatics. Battle Raptor takes off away from Tengu to get turned around, but Tengu follows and hits the side, badly buckling one of the skirts, and spinning Battle Raptor into the PPZ! Battle Raptor comes out quickly, but is attacked by Tengu again!
This time Battle Raptor isn€™t spun away, rather it is the skirt which is torn off and flung onto a pit, which opens, sending that part of Battle Raptor down. However, the main part is still in the fight, and pushes Tengu into the PPZ where The Militant awaits! Like the stereotypical evil guy he is, Alex keeps Tengu in there and lets The Militant attack with the flywheel a couple of times, just to show how effective his anti spinner ring is.
Tengu finally moves out of the PPZ when Uncle Tomahawk comes in to join The Militant, but Battle Raptor stays on Tengu and pushes it right back in! Tengu comes out again, slipping past Battle Raptor and beginning to spin up again! Battle Raptor comes in, and Tengu slams into the scoop hard, opening up a gash and skipping Tengu away, and nearly over a pit. Tengu recovers and comes in again, slamming into the scoop a second time.
Disaster strikes for Battle Raptor, as Tengu€™s tooth catches on the gash, and half tears the scoop away! Battle Raptor reverses quickly and tags in B2B. B2B comes out and crashes into Tengu, flicking both machines away from each other. B2B soon closes the gap, pushing and flipping Tengu into the PPZ. Tengu bounces off its own spinner as it lands, and bounces straight into the flipper of Flipup, and like its partner before is tossed halfway across the area and bounces the rest of the way thanks to its spinning, tearing bits out of the arena as it goes. It lands near the grey corner and self rights in.
Kali€™s driver mistakes this for a tag, and out comes Kali. Kali quickly swerves around the pits and meets B2B head on. B2B manages to grind underneath Kali however and flips it over! Kali flies backwards and over, and self rights as soon as it hits the floor. Kali reverses away from the next attack, using its superior speed, quickly getting a pit between itself and B2B. B2B comes after Kali, and Kali springs out of hiding CEASE to broadside B2B and throw it over. And we€™re off to the judges.
Control: Battle Raptor and B2B come out on top here slightly, as Tengu skipped around a lot because of its attacks, and both Tengu and Kali had rather spectacular flights after meeting Flipup, and B2B had some good flipping sprees. Battle Raptor and B2B 3, Tengu and Kali 2.
Damage: Tengu caused by far the most damage, and Alex€™s team received very little as their opponents had non-damaging weapons. Battle Raptor and B2B 1, Tengu and Kali 4.
Agression: Tengu was by far the most aggressive machine, followed by B2B. Kali and Battle Raptor were bit players as far as bloody mindedness goes. Battle Raptor and B2B 2, Tengu and Kali 3.
Final scores:
Battle Raptor and B2B - 6
Tengu and Kali - 9
Tengu and Kali go through on a judges decision!

NSBFLX-2
This tournament is cancelled due to me not being bothered to do it. Here are what the results would have been:
Tag team -
Panicing and Disco 5 had to drop out of the tournament due to damage suffered in the first round. They were replaced by Mega Masher and Leprosy, who shockingly beat MSSD when Spinverter 4 was damaged by Bane, and MSSD was pitted.
Tengu 7 and Kali won their fight by slashing and flipping, but Leprosy and Mega Masher 2 won the final when Tengu pinged itself into a pit, and Kali was immobolised.
Winners - Leprosy Infection and Mega Masher 2
Football -
This was won by Hector and Baldur, beating Ripe and Hus 7-0 in the first round, ROTROTB and Tammy the 2nd by 1-0 in extra time, then a 2-1 win over Cyclone Force and Tuberculosis in the final.
Sheer Heart Attack won the new blood, coming through its melee when The Translator destroyed the other opponants. It next beat Dante in a very close judges decision, but looked in serious trouble against the Translator in the final. However, Translator was pinged into the moat, and Sheer Heart Attack won the seeding in a tournament that will now never happen. You must be so proud Martijn:proud:
Arena selection doesnt matter because the arenas will never be used.
Everyone won the TYOM
Archangel of the Abyss won the first annihilator
Pure Evil: Revenge of the disc won the second
Sorry about this
-
NSBFLX-2
Well, how do you like that? What would have been one of the few things keeping FRA afloat is now dead. Its just one after another. VFT and FFW seem completley halted [FFW much less so] PTT5 was cancelled but hypothetically the results were given, AJWars went down the drain, Mechanical Noise is being updated rather slowly as well. And now this. It looks like its mainly going to be me and Kody keeping this forum alive. MacFanfic seems dead as well...
[Note that I am not blaming any of you for cancelling/slowly updating tourtaments. I completley understand how life can get in the way. And NSIREC WILL get going again during the weekend]
Im going to be very busy..and two majors wont be helping very much. But Im going to try.
Very sorry this had to happen Frank. But youre welcome to write NSIREC fights any time..*hint hint* :proud:

NSBFLX-2
I dont get how my football robots got knocked out in the first round especially when theyre supposed to be for FOOTBALL not fighting but FOOTBALL jeez.

one way or another, ot seems like I just won my second tournament, the new blood tournament, w000t!
with a tracked robot for crying out loud! :proud:
Sheeeeeeeeeer Heart Attack!

NSBFLX-2
Shame to see the end of yet another tournament. But dont say I didnt warn you all this year would be the end... :P
Tim: Just because your robots were designed for football, it doesnt mean they automatically win. The better footballing robots win, whether they are combat or not.
Frank: Does this mean that the next NSBFL is also cancelled?
-
NSBFLX-2
well, it IS april fools day... :uhoh:
-
NSBFLX-2
I believe Frankie is playing with you, because its april fools day :-)
-
NSBFLX-2
Then why would he post the results, saying who would win? Think about it.
-
NSBFLX-2
Yeah he posts the results but the exact opposite happens if thats the case then I won 3 tournies woot.
-
NSBFLX-2
..No. What would be the point, saying who would win on april fools day, but then posting the real winners the day after? Think before you have an excuse to think your crappy bots have won somehting...
