Poor Tony.
I hope there will be enough events for you to show off the destructive power of that tri-pronged robo-slice and dice blade.
But I have to say, its not the way I would have done it.
cost me nothing bit of work to do on it just cut it in half can lose 12inch in length new wheels to go on. Thanks Mario got them for nothing TAN wheels i was asked to say thanks to you.
Josh, thanks for your interest unfortunately all robots have been sold, i still have bits and pieces around but not entering competitions until 2009, my spinner is making an appearance possibly at one event soon to give the new owners hands on experiance and so i also get once last go!
i will be coming back with a new hw in 2009.
Just finished welding the bot back together looks alot more in propotion now a bit more strenthing to do. :)
Drive motors and wheels fitted next battery and electronics bay to make. Pic on profile
Much batter Tony, looks more formidable, itll steer better with a wider wheelbase
gonna be fun to fight that
looks good tony
Looking like a heavyweight Dragonstrike a little bit now - nice :)
Is that bungee cord pulling on the motors to keep the chains tight?
Yes it is. They are belts not chains. Dont know if it will work will see.
Tony, where did your database go to?
quite a novel idea to keeping your belts tight whilst providing shock proofing to the motors (if I am looking at the picture correctly). I will be interested to see how effective it is
Leo computer crash lost it all. Will not be puting it back up now that RRs is up and running.
Gary yes you are looking at the picture correctly I will be intrested to see how well it works.
Got more done. front wheel protecters fitted top armour fitted its is there just got to paint it 15mm thick will be changing to metal if any weight left over. just got to wire it up now.
Pic on profile.
looks good tony, what weight/speed you have in the disk? have you built this for battlebots event?
not sure of weight of disc think it is about 20kg. the disc motors are bosch 750s run at 24v at a 2 to 1 reduction. not sure what that speed is.
this is a rebuild of a old robot.
Disk will run a bit over 1500 rpm then. Fast enough for a 3teeth model.
Disc
Well it looks like one when it spins. Latest pic on profile
Well done Tony, nice rebuild!
Id seen a couple of pics of it beforehand when it looked very long and had the wheels on the inside but its looking really good now :)
Cheers Jamie. It is shorter now by about 10inch just hope my welding holds out when it gets flipped. :)
it is a nice rebuild you got there tony. well done dude. :)
Am I the only person who thinks it looks like Supernova?
Whats Supernova:uhoh:
Oh Craig, that depends.
Outside Robot wars, a supernova is one of the most violent, most powerfull happenings on a cosmic scale. The explosion of a superheavy star.
But for Robot War purposes, Supernova was one of the most feared spinners in the Filmed series. Nothing else.
And yes, Tonys machine looks like it, but then lower tech.
Lol Thanks Mario
Hehe we beat them twice!
Just... (No seriously you dont wanna fight them!)
Tony, wanna stick one of Tantos eteks in that?
Was thinking about getting one Craig
see u tomorrow tony well talk
Just started on the art work for Carnage. rear top armour done pic on profile
