Chapter Five ~ Where the Wild Things Are
Our heroes discussed the matter, but the key point was how potent Liar 2 was in battle, and eventually they came to a unanimous decision to allow Liar 2 to join them.

Peter Halloway was not happy. He had not only been defeated by outsiders, but he had already heard of Martijn€™s defection and despite his wish for keeping the sewer clan€™s people happy and free to do what they want he was displeased, and when the heroes approached him he did not make eye contact with Martijn.
€œI am not obliged to help you now€ he said
€œWe know€ said Kody €œBut before we take our leave we would like to thank you for a good fight€Â
The Baron was puzzled. He had not before experienced such pleasantries, and although he hated the city and didn€™t want to help them by giving any information, this polite gesture by our heroes changed his mind.
€œJust because I am not obliged, it doesn€™t mean I won€™t€ said the Baron slowly, prompting a grin to spread across Jack€™s face €œI have information for you... Follow me...€Â
The Baron stood up and walked away, leaving his guards behind, and our heroes followed him through a small door set into the walls and down steep steps into the bowels of the sewers.
€œWe intercepted the thief you were chasing€ said the Baron €œBut we did not discover his true identity and he escaped... But not without dropping this€Â
Our heroes gasped as the Baron held up a heavy metal object - one handle of the Annihilation trophy...
€œThe trophy has been broken into several pieces€ said the Baron €œMy guess is that the thief has separated the pieces around Mechanical Maelstrom... or maybe even the world€Â
€œThen all hope is lost!€ wailed Jack
€œNot quite€ Jordan corrected him €œThe trophy can be reassembled... We just need the pieces€Â
€œAnd I know how to help you€ said the Baron €œSome of my men are tailing the thief. Unfortunately their signal disappeared when they reached the Savage Peaks, so our guess is either something happened to them there or the tracking device simply stopped working. All the same, your best chance is to head for the Savage Peaks and try to follow the thief from there, unless he is still there€Â
€œThank you very much€ said Joey €œMay we have the piece of the trophy?€Â
€œThere is no need€ said the Baron €œI will deliver it to Lewis myself€Â
€œVery well€ said Mark €œAs long as it returns safely€Â
€œI bid you farewell now€ said the Baron €œNow good luck!€Â
RoTaS showed them out, taking them back to the pipe where they first encountered him and they left through the pothole above them, surfacing about twenty meters away from the city gates, but this time on the forest side.
€œDo you know which way to the Savage Peaks?€ asked RoTaS
€œI have travelled this way before€ replied Kody
€œGood€ answered RoTaS €œI now bid you farewell€Â.
Our heroes contemplated the wild forest in front of them and entered the wilds, following Kody€™s lead. However they hadn€™t been travelling through the forest long when a large shadow entered their path.
€œWho goes there!€ called Mark
There came no reply, but a second shadow also entered their view, of a vaguely humanoid shape.
Encounter!

2) ???
Attack these strange creatures, or flee? Be warned that this is the only way Kody has travelled through the forest and he does not know of any other way through.
Better yet, let's wait for them to reveal themselves. If push comes to shove, I can probably beat them with my AK-47. However, if we flee, I'll cover the rest of the party as they escape.
...I say we flee and leave Mark to cover us as we escape :P
