22nd November - Roaming Robots - Maidstone

Beat the lot of you.Parcelforce lost my batteries :( then found them again :) ,got them 5.00 wednesday evening,worked till the late hours no signal on the RoboteQ. Thursday morning 7.00 found out that the rx got broken at Reading when flipped by Iron Awe :( Robbed Tiny Toon. :)
Rebuilt the whole shooting match in my dinner break at work, And His Army was awesome until the RoboteQ blew. :cry: :cry: it lasted 8 minutes. :cry:
Must remember not to leave it near Stagefright. :angry:

Well, all hands to the pump tomorrow cos we don't have anything finished yet and the first time Hydra will be tested will be in the fight with Iron Awe and Terrorhurtz!! It may also be the first time we test the pneumatics cos unless I find some gas somewhere it aint gonna be tested. Alex has a lot to answer for. Not only did he draw Thor and Terrorhurtz for us, we ended up with Hydra in the first show so not even a whiteboard to test it in first.

SMIDSY's wheels got stuck back together yesterday with some araldite so should be interesting. After a chat with Shane last night I've also re-inforced it with some gaffa tape so should hold up quite well to Thor :rofl: (or at least when it fails it'll be spectacular!!). Also thinking of sticking a cloth over it to stop the worst of Thors blows.

Well, it's like this, the arms not finished, the electrics aren't fitted, the air system is in bits, the paints still in the pot and the old robot has no motors. Break out the gaffer tape and cable ties. :proud:

slight scare. . Said to kirsti i'm just nipping in the garage to put the ram tops back on and the batteries in. . . I'll be back in 15 mins. . . . 2 hours later rams won't in back down. :-(

all sorted now. Ready to beat beast. As usuall. :-)

i think our robots working havnt tested it since reading lol, urrr the chain looks a bit dodge (i dont think a ia5, tilly, maelstrom and behemoth onsought is good for it lol :P) but i have shanes word that it works :P need to figure out how to charge the tx lol, hit the side righters with a hammer so it should all be ok :mrgreen: :uhoh: batterys are being a a*se, need to test them on the day :uhoh: feather is in bits, as usual, needtom to give it the once over :mrgreen: ants packed, i promise they work this time :proud: ... :uhoh:

Ant is charged and ready for tis first fight ever lol, FW has literally just been finished and has new hdpe wheel guards and fronts. Last minute but at least its working :P.
