Cross your fingers for Critter (our 11,5 year-old German Shepherdess) who is very ill right now due to a bleeding stomach. The Vet is confident shell pull through but we will only be sure after a few days on how she responds to the treatment. Shes still with us at home, cuddling up with Zorro (the cat who thinks hes a dog) and we can only wait.
Give her a gentle cuddle from me
I know how you feel, Ive had strict orders this week that if my dog is poorly again I need to take her to the vets to be put to sleep :sad::sad::sad::sad::sad:
And to add to the misery: we had to be evacuated this afternoon due to workers in the street having breached the main gas-tube, causing a substantial leak. Big alarm of course. Fortunately the shelter was not too far away, in a school some 100 meters from our door, and Critter was able to walk all the way but it exhausted her. (If she wasnt capable of walking the police would have come and carried her.) We brought along a blanket to lie on and she appreciated that. So did the janitor of the school.:proud: It kept the floor clean.
Now were home again, its safe. She ate a bit and is sleeping. But shes still terribly weak.
A bargain!
