It seems a bit weird but the only thing I can think is that the 12A model is superseding the 10A model so perhaps it now costs less to make the controllers than it did a few years back when the 10A one first came into production, and they've found lighter ways of making them? Who knows :lame:
Now all they need to do is make a super cheap 5a one.....
Anyone know of a cheapy alternative for an ESC?
The current draw seems unlikely to top 5a but looks like I'll be paying the same amount (if not more since I got them 2nd hand) than I did for the ESC's in Bitza, which is far more powerful.
Cheers.
If you're running pretty small motors you could use servo boards. I personally use these http://banebots.com/pc/ELECTRONICS/BB-0309 which are pretty bulletproof, and here's an alternative one some beetles use http://www.fingertechrobotics.com/prodd ... -tinyESCv2
I definitly recommend the Banebots, I use the 3A ones in my ants and they're awesome.
Any issues getting them from America? Excessive postage, customs?
