How did Die-Ceratops get SoR on the flipper?! Impossible!
Just kidding. :proud:
Wedge Devolution (7) vs. Die-Ceratops Re-Invertus (23)
Heres hoping a repeat performance wont happen. Wedge Devo FTW. :lame:
(Message edited by kodster on March 17, 2008)
Im not going to wait for Chris tactics, as I didnt before hand. By the way, AJ, I think itll be better if I just put Psyclonised in Heat 5 instead of me waiting for the tactics like in the last tournument.
But enough of that! Heres the Heat 4 Final!
HEAT FINAL:
Wedge Devolution (7) vs. Die-Ceratops ReInvertus (23)
WEDGE DEVOLUTION vs. DIE-CERATOPS REINVERTUS
Booth #1: Steven M
Booth #2: Chris M
Roboteers, stand by!!!
3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!
Both robots accelerate off the starting squares and impacts into each others fronts! Wedge seemed to have the lower front, but he missed his flipping opportunity, and now Die-Ceratops charges around and hits himself into Wedge! The traction on Die-Ceratops allows for him to slam Wedge very hard into the wall, but he doesn€™t seem to have the power or ability to break the skirts! Steven seems to feel safe, and he moves his machine away to the side of the arena, and hits the pit release button, and reverses away into the centre of the arena, and spins himself around to help him slide under Die-Ceratops! The invertible flipper flies over in a 360 flips, but goes into a maddened spin, and BASHES the sides of Wedge, forcing him away from the body of the Dinosaur! Chris now drives out the front of Wedge, but STEVEN GETS UNDERNEATH! Wedge now seems to be wasting no time in hurrying Die-Ceratops towards the arena wall, and flipping! Die-Ceratops€™ design means that it only falls near the wall, and he now pushes into the front-left side AND BREAKS THE SKIRTING ON WEDGE! Wedge flies up in a graceful, twisting and turning somersault, before landing on its nose, and flipping itself back, but after it self-rights, it doesn€™t seem to be moving all that freely on one side. Chris notifies the issue it€™s having, and pushes in once more, and the new power gets under the skirts. This time a 6ft flip, and CRASH! Wedge slams down hard, but still has the ability to self-right once more, and quickly! Die-Ceratops seems to be standing off, but notices that Wedge is still moving, and charges in, but drives onto the flipper on Wedge! Die-Ceratops gets flipped itself by Wedge, but it seems to only be a minor flip. Wedge€™s flipper is trying to lower, but DIE-CERATOPS STORMS UNDER IT! Die-Ceratops is pushing and pushing€¦AND I DON€™T THINK HE€™S GOING TO STOP! Wedge is heading near the arena walls, and Die-Ceratops makes its final flip! Wedge whirls 6ft into the atmosphere and lands facing downwards out the ring, like the dead tortoise that it is!
Result:
Wedge Devolution (7) disproves the saying €œthings were better the old days€Â!
DIE-CERATOPS REINVERTUS (23) GOES THROUGH TO THE SERIES SEMI-FINALS!!!
Next Time:
HEAT 5
ROUND ONE:
Psyclonised (9) vs. Shrederator vs. Cable
With Or Without You (25) vs. Typhoon 2 vs. M2
Send in tactics, comments, predictions and a cure for bordom :proud:
Hey, another awesome fight! :proud: Too bad Wedge Devo lost, though. :lame:
Psyclonised (9) vs. Shrederator vs. Cable
AJ, I think its time we showed Cable what potent spinners we are. :proud:
With Or Without You (25) vs. Typhoon 2 vs. M2
Martijn out. M2 and Typhoon 2 could get the rammer and ram it into the spinner and KO them both. If that fails, I think Typhoon 2 will go out. M2 should be sturdy enough to last the match.
Actually, could anyone give me some info on Shrederator, like internals workings, power of spinner, things like that?
http://www.buildersdb.com/botdetails.asp?botid=155http://www.buildersdb.com/botdetails.asp?botid=155
As quoted by Aaron, Runs 4 x D-Pack motors @ 24v, two for weapon, two for drive. Pretty crazy spinner.
What it can do to a robot with titanium armour - http://youtube.com/watch?v=cJnnCf00Cy8&feature=relatedhttp://youtube.com/watch?v=cJnnCf00Cy8&feature=related
Unfortunately, we dont know the EXACT details about Shrederator, but its one MEAN spinner. Paired up with another spinner, it should do some damage. :proud:
Can I please have some tactics please? AJ, Alex, Dave and Martijn - I NEED YOUR TACTICS! I dont want another hypothetical.
Alexs tactics tend to be fairly obvious.
Well, I do need SOME updates. I know Ive worked fine with or with tactics, but it helps if you have some tactics.
OK - The deal is that if I dont get all the tactics by midday today, then Ill do a hypothetical of the heats, just to get it nearly over with.
(Message edited by paulc on March 21, 2008)
Thats a bit harsh - Id just do the battles anyway, assuming the tactics. If its really bad, just do a hypo of this one heat, not all of them.
Maybe it is a bit harsh, but harsh sometimes gets results. Nothing against anyone, but Ive got a bit of a lack of patience, so Im annoyed that I havent got my tactics.
I know how you feel - Im not the most patient person in he world myself - its just that Im not sure if people who dont come on in the morning will even get the chance to see this before it goes to a hypo.
...besides, I kind of want to see Fire And Ice in its first fight :proud:
Well, Joey, I think I might send it now if you want to see how Fire And Ice will do:

There you go - the heat results. Im sorry I had to shorten the heats, but as Ive stated, Im not patient enough to wait for too long and I apologise for that, but heres the semis:
SEMI-FINAL 1
Killotine: EVO (3) vs. YACATR
Wedignator 6.0 (2) vs. Fire And Ice
Ramthrax 2 (6) vs. Sithis
Psyclonised (9) vs. Die-Ceratops ReInvertus (23)
SEMI-FINAL 2
Kali (1) vs. Back To Rock (27)
Storm 2 (4) vs. Cat With Wheels
Tengu VII (8) vs. Sheer Heart Attack 2 (30)
Big Nipper (12) vs. Intrigue
Send in tactics, predictions and an angry mob of people angry because I did a hypotheitcal of the heats :uhoh:/:proud:
Was Darke Destroyer reinstated or something?
Anyway, tictacs:
Wedginator 6.0 vs. FIRE AND ICE
Hmm, difficult. Well, flipping wont affect me since I can run inverted, and if I get around the rear or rear half of the sides it shouldnt be able to affect me that much, I should still be able to get traction with the ground. Basically ram all over the place, getting under the flipper if possible to slice things with the saws. Then, introduce my friend Wedginator to another friend, Mr Pit.
Good luck Kody  and Paul, if youre having problems getting tournaments on this scale finished, go for something slightly smaller, like a 12 heat tournament with series 5/6 style losers melees in the semis. Just my advice *flies off to Egypt, so wont be around for a bit*
Woo, Two Semi-Final entries in my first major.
Storm 2 V Cat With Wheels
Hmm.. Storm 2 is fast and agile, but all it takes is for me to get under a side once, and I can push to the walls and flip it out.
Ramthrax V Sithis
Ramthrax may be designed to stop spinners, but it has weak side armour. If I can get round to the sides, I can destroy it.
SEMI-FINAL 1
Ramthrax 2 (6) vs. Sithis - Ram
SEMI-FINAL 2
Kali (1) vs. Back To Rock (27) - Ram and Flip
Tengu VII (8) vs. Sheer Heart Attack 2 (30) - Spin
Keep the weapons to the opponent at all times.
Im afraid its these kind of tactics that make me forget to post them, I kind of design everything with particular tactics in mind, perhaps Ill include them in the stats.
awwwwwwwwwwww COME ON PAUL! NOT AGAIN!
you know the drill around here by now, people tend to dissapear for weeks without logging on to the FRA, theres often WEEKS between fights in majors, and other times fights are done before people have been given the time to get any tactics in.
Were talking 3 days here Paul, 3 days during which AJ, Alex, Dave and myself failed to post their tactics. No, its worse than that, neither of the 4 of us were AWARE that we HAVE to post tactics in this tournaments, from experience gathered in other tourneys, major writers are perfectly fine having to write battles without knowing all the tactics. Then, on Friday, March 21, 2008 - 5:06 am, you state that you NEED our tactics in order to avoid a hypothetical, on Friday, March 21, 2008 - 6:51 am, the hypothetical results are in, I was sleeping throughout this entire time, mind you. And to think that EOTR 1 and 2 were done lightning fast without anyone giving any tactics at all.
The silly thing is, this is EOTR 3 all over again. You were under to much pressure to finish EOTR 3 and did hypotheticals, only to open signups for EOTR 4 a day later as if nothing happened. People, me being no exception, thought this was very strange to say the least. You explained yourself, but I was still affraid it might happen again. I asked on several occassions wether or not you were up to it, and you evantually convinced me you were...
Bah, I told you before, smaller tournaments might be a wiser option for you. Majors and impatience dont mix well, they mix horribly in fact...
Well...it wont happen again. (I hope)
Paul have you heard of sleeping?
Also, it seams to me you started to write the hypothetical when you threatend to do one if you didnt have tactics by 12 as you posted it about an hour later. It just seams to me that you wouldnt have been able to write it in much less than hour.

Yeah, thats what you said last time.
quote:
I see yesterday was rough on you, but throwing something out of the window every time youre in a brief moment of panic is a bad habbit no mather how you look at it, in your later life, but certainly also when writing a major tournament that can drag on for a looong time. Something this big can easilly take more than 6 months, and from my own experiences I can say having 6 months without any stress is very rare to say the least, so make sure you think this all through.
This is what I said back when you opened EOTR 4 right after cancelling EOTR 3, writing a Major will take a lot of patience throughout a long period, you convinced me you could handle it after the series 3 debacle...
Series 3 signups started on Saturday, January 05, 2008, hypotheticals were posted on Tuesday, February 05, 2008.
Series 4 signups started on Wednesday, February 06, 2008, hypotheticals (of the heats only, Ill give you that) were posted on Friday, March 21, 2008.
Tournaments of this size usually take several months to finish, for them to take well over a year is common business.
On 2 ocassions now, you resorted to hypotheticals within the first 2 months. Why dont you just open up a smaller tournament mate? 8 people, 4 robots per person, 32 robots in total? How does that sound? You could (and would, I trust you on that, youre not a bad writer at all by now, and a fine addition to the community ) finish a tourney like that withing one or two months, make everybody happy, and perhaps move on to another minor tournament straight after. Wouldnt that be a lot wiser?
(Message edited by MajinB on March 21, 2008)
Paul, what the hell is wrong with you?
Just finish off the whole damn tournament already. I shall not be posting tactics, so if you do not have the capabilities of writing my fights without them, withdraw my robots from the competition.
I would add my contributions and have a rant, but the message is simply not getting through is it?
It wont happen again - yeah, damn right it wont, because nobody will be entering any future tournaments from you. Or at least, I definately wont be.
You. Do. Not. Need. Tactics. To. Write. A. Battle!!! Certainly not at 5 oclock in the morning!!! Maybe if you got some damn sleep for once you might be a little less idle and impatient.
Now have a nice day!

If thats the way youre going to act - GOOD! I thought you were above all this insulting business, now youre down-grading yourself to the levels of Tim James Sillery! And if youre going to destroy the NOOBS, then good luck - because youll need it!
Truth be told, Ill gladly enter future tourneys from you IF theyre smaller than say 24 robots.
On a sidenote, Im glad to see 4 of my robots made it to the semies, but I was suprised to see all of them are in the same Semi-Final (Semi-Final 2).
SEMI-FINAL 1
Killotine: EVO (3) vs. YACATR
Tough fight, but I can see YACATR ending up in the pit.
Wedignator 6.0 (2) vs. Fire And Ice
Damnit, I theresay this one is tougher than Killotine vs YACATR. Wedginator pitted or Fire and Ice OOTA, both are possible.
Ramthrax 2 (6) vs. Sithis
Ramthrax I think will win on raw power.
Psyclonised (9) vs. Die-Ceratops ReInvertus (23)
Psyclonised can keep Die-Ceratops at a safe distance and win.
SEMI-FINAL 2
Kali (1) vs. Back To Rock (27)
Paul, I entered Back to Rock 3 in this tournament :proud:.
Back to Rock 3 has roughly the same power as Kali, though its slower and therefor more controlled and has more torque. I can get under him no problem, lift him off the ground and saw through the tires. When hes off the ground I can control him at pit him. Also note that hell have more troubly getting under me due to my skirts.
Storm 2 (4) vs. Cat With Wheels
He has 2 wheels powered by Mags, so I win in the power department. Get to his rear and pit him is what Id say.
Tengu VII (8) vs. Sheer Heart Attack 2 (30)
We meet again Alex. Sheer Heart Attack 1 owned some horizontal spinners in C&B2, and Sheer Heart Attack 2 is even more powerful. Ill start this fight with my rear wedges facing Tengu, and rush in to stall the weapon. Turn around and do damage with the drum. The horizontal spinner ring wont save him from my vertical drum mind you. Pit Tengu when I get the chance, though the pit isnt my primairy goal, my primairy goal is to stall the fbs and damage it.
Big Nipper (12) vs. Intrigue
Lift and pit :proud:
You thought I was above this insulting business? Well I thought that you had learnt from your previous mistakes and was never going to cancel a future tournament. Just four days ago you said, Im NOT doing a hypothetical! Too say I was not impressed would be an understatement. However, looking back at my earlier comments I was very harsh and apologise for that.
But that still doesnt explain what you have done. OK, Ill be first to admit that I have done similar in the past, but I just found this very strange. I cannot find any logic to your actions. Was the reason for cancelling the heats because people did not post tactics? This is not ARC. Tactics are not necessary.
Lets take a timeline through events shall we?
18/3/08 1:55am - Line-ups are posted
21/3/08 5:06am - You ask for tactics, or rather, you claim you need them
Yes Paul, you would have gladly got tactics from me and most likely the other parties involved. Just wait. Also, why do you need them? You do not have to have tactics before writing a battle. It€™s your tournament, write battles when you like. Also, why does not receiving tactics for two battles affect the fate of every single other heat in the competition? You could have just cancelled the first round battles, or hell, just that heat. Even then, that is ridiculous. But cancelling every heat? Argh!
21/3/08 5:51 - You give us a deadline for tactics at 12:00, fine
However, if some of us miss this deadline, why does it mean the rest of the heats are cancelled?
21/3/08 6:51 - The hypothetical results are posted
For one, why did you cut the deadline off 6 hours earlier than you said? Next, why did you only give us one hours notice between the deadline and the results? Most annoying of all, the people you were presumably dying to get tactics from are all from Europe. 3 of those 4 were in the UK. At 5:00 in the morning, it is almost a 100% certainty that we will all be asleep. Me and Martijn have already confirmed this.
Not only did you give us no time. You came up with a strange solution. What would anyone else do? Wait a while? Write the battles anyway? I think so. But you not only did not take these choices, you cancelled the first round battles, the second round and heat final. No, wait€¦ you cancelled every single heat. It€™s just€¦ weird.
You have given us one hour, while we were asleep, to post unnecessary tactics? Good lord. Remind me to set my alarm clock for 5:00am in the future so that I can check up on the forum just in case. Wow, why didn€™t I do this before? I thoroughly deserve the punishment of having every heat cancelled. I€™ll never do it again!
some facts...
Heat A, round 1, Terrorhurtz got through to face Gabriel in round 2
Samuel Park, who entered Terrorhurtz, never send in his tactics, the battle took place anyhow
Heat A, round 2, Kali beat Seung Mina to face Gabriel in the heat final
Alex never gave Kalis tactics, the heat final took place and Kali even won!
Heat B, round 2, Killotine owned Black Death to face Atomic in the heat final
No tactics from Steve, but he did fight (and win) in the heats final
et cetera, et cetera
now are we REALLY to believe you threw ALL the heats out of the window ENTIRELY, ONLY because some failed to give their tactics for the FIRST round of the FIFTH heat?
heres what I see...
January 2008: you opened EOTR 3
February 2008: you lacked the patience/got too pressurized to finish EOTR 3 and resorted to hypotheticals
February 2008: you decided you still liked doing majors and opened EOTR 4, while promising everyone that it wont happen again
March 2008: you lost your patience again and resorted to hypotheticals to narrow the tournament down to 16 robots, something you CAN handle... now this is just unfair Paul
getting fed up with a major 2 times in 2 months is not a good habbit for a major writer Paul, and the fact that you have to narrow a major down to 16 robots to finish it makes me wonder why you started a 96-robot tournament alltogether, it only brings dissapointment
resort to smaller tournaments Paul, itll make stuff alot easier for everyone
There is only a handful of tournaments completed, and when you think it took me 10 or so months to complete the 96 robot FAR9 (not including all the various other-weights), and included in that time was 2 months worth of GCSEs to revise and do.
Big tournaments take time.
Im not bothering with tactics. And Im also not entering another tournament of yours. Sorry Paul, but youve broken my trust.
Well? Are you going to admit youre wrong or not?
Guess not. Well then I have truly lost all respect for you.
Sorry, I just havent commented in a while - Ive been buzy all day, and havent checked up as often as I usually do.
And by the way, Kody - youre ALL right (I mean ALL as in Martijn and AJ) in saying that I let myself and them down. It was a bit creul and nasty and a bit hasty, and a seriously bad idea to do another list of results instead of the actual fights.
And I was wrong.
All right, Im glad you admitted that. I take back what I just said about losing all respect for you, though I still have lost a lot. That doesnt mean that I will enter E.O.T.R. 5, however, unless you SERIOUSLY, and I mean SERIOUSLY, make a turn around, because my thoughts of entering it are non-existant at this point, as are most people on this forum.
When you say turn-around, what do you mean by that?
When I say turn-around I mean turn over a new leaf, and keep it turned. Truly, that means no more hypotheticals, for stupid/borderline-stupid reasons, and no more moaning about pointless stuff like no tactics. Tactics are nice, but THEYRE NOT NECESSARY. Remember that.
Great, I go away for a few days, and all hades breaks loose...
I agree with the above. Tactics arent really necessary for fights, at times theyre actually irrelevant because its obvious what something needs to do to beat something else. Im not quite as appalled as other people, not being an overly patient person myself, as well as being new. I can understand how frustrating it must be, but do try to avoid spoiling everything because of that frustration in future.
And at this rate, I may rename Fire And Ice That Robot Of Joeys Which Only Ever Fights In Hypos For Whatever Reason. Must Be Cursed Or Something :proud:
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeell...I suppose I can give some tactics and predictions now that youve seen the error of your ways for now, Paul. :proud:
Semi-Final 1
Killotine: EVO (3) vs. Yet Another Cut Above The Rest
There is hardly any surface area for Killotine to attack, and to get those wheels he has to approach the disc...AJ through.
Wedignator 6.0 (2) vs. Fire And Ice
Flip it over once, and DO NOT FLIP IT OVER AGAIN. Then RAM IT! Try to get it down the pit, but ram it around if its being a pest. :proud:
Ramthrax 2 (6) vs. Sithis
Ramthrax.
Psyclonised (9) vs. Die-Ceratops ReInvertus (23)
Oh wow. One flip and Psyclonised could be a goner...but Ill edge with AJ again here to rip out the wheel protectors and then the wheels themselves.
Semi-Final 2
Kali (1) vs. Back To Rock (27)
The champ to die.
Storm 2 (4) vs. Cat With Wheels
Danny, you better avenge Killobite. :proud: Ill pick Cat With Wheels to hold Storm II off from getting to the finals for the first time.
Tengu VII (8) vs. Sheer Heart Attack 2 (30)
For the love of god, how cool is this: a quote from a certain flying Dutchman. :proud: If SHA2 can get to Tengus spinning ring while its stopped and toss it over, the battle will go to Martijn, but I think Tengu can land a few lethal blows to that drum before that happens. Alex Holt will move on.
Big Nipper (12) vs. Intrigue
Axe the pest to hell! :proud:
By the way, Kody, Fire And Ice is a paralellogram - it has an invertible wedge at the rear, so flipping it will do nothing serious. And Storm II was stopped from getting to the Finals by Kali last time.

Calling me out on all angles, are you? :P
What I meant by Storm II getting to the Finals was the Grand Final (with the four finalists), not the Final Battle itself.
Also, Wedginator 6.0 will stack Fire and Ice against the wall if pitting it doesnt work. Will reserve the flipper for times when Ill really need it.
Better? :P
*makes mental note to include interchangable weapons, some of which are of the fire-with-enough-power-to-defuse-a-tricky-stacking-situation variety, in F&Is next incarnation* :P
Although, wouldnt I be able to trundle along the wall if my tracks were in contact with it?

The executing machine of E.O.T.R 1 returns! The first ever champion of our series is a tough robot to rival, using its seriously thick 3.25mm Hardox armour for the front, back and sides, and its bomb-proof Polycarbonate top armour at 15mm thickness. The motors inside this beast are 2 x LEM130€™s, powering 4 Wheels, giving traction and power difficult to be rivalled. The weaponry is a Hardox axe with a spiked point, with the ability to pierce Titanium - the weapon runs on CO2 at 160psi, giving off 900kg of force per hit! Flipping it is tricky, as skirts on all the sides prevent nearly anything getting under. At the front is an extension plate, making it even tougher, but all this skirting makes turning a bit of a problem.
In E.O.T.R 1: Showed everyone who was boss in Round One, when it hacked up Obliteration, immobilising the shell and allowing Flippa Frenzay Mk.7 to toss it out. Drilla Killa 7 suffered pain as well having been battered and pitted, but both robots were pitted at the end! The judges let Killotine through to face Tornado in the Heat Final, where it nearly got pitted again, but it saved itself and Tornado went down instead. In the final 12, things seemed to be simpler, but not clean going, as it took a bit of time to pit Agro 3.5, after getting the axe into the wheels. In the top 6 melees, it was easy, as Crusher C.U and Black Panther Queen got caught together, easy to be pitted by Killotine. In the final, Killotine: EVO looked outclassed against Storm 2, as Storm pushed it around the arena, and nearly down the pit, but after Killotine chopped off a drive chain, it made Storm easy to pit and made Killotine: EVO our first champion!
In E.O.T.R 2: (SEEDED 1) Battered up TIRTASM in Round One with help from Ramthrax 2, before finally pitting TIRTASM, and then it turned Dallas into a pepper pot before sending down the hole. Then in the Heat Final, it met Ramthrax 2 once more and a lucky blow cut out the control box, leaving Ramthrax dead. 28th seed Shovearound 2 posed a bit of a problem, but not enough to be hammered and pitted, but its winning run was to come to a shocking close as it fought 22nd seed Achilles, and a piece of poor control placed Killotine on the Achilles flipper, and Killotine disappeared over the side.
In E.O.T.R 3: (SEEDED 7) Looked on fine form in his heat, as he once again hacked into Obliteration and also into D-J, but killed Obliteration first, before then meeting the robot known as Quocunque Jeceris Stabit, where it pierced its gas bottle, immobilising the flipper before chopping through the armour to kill the motors off, and there-after came the winning of the heat, via the pitting of D-J after immobilising the discs. In Round Four, Steven met 13th seed Psyclonised, and the ex-champ was scared, as Psyclonised tore out the axe and proceeded to bash it up. Killotine, however, survived the loss of the weapon and was controlled and aggressive enough to win the JD. Just like last series, Killotine met the 17th seed Ramthrax 2, this time in Round Five. That battle was very even, with moments of Killotine giving Ramthrax punctures in the armour and moments of Ramthrax smashing Killotine around, but eventually, Killotine damaged the control box and was through to the final, where it was tossed into the pit by outsider and eventual runner-up, Wedginator 6.0, but in the play-off, it knocked out Eternia€™s gas bottle and dominated it for the whole fight to take the Aluminium cup.
In E.O.T.R 4: (SEEDED 3) So far has had a breezy run in the competition, after hacking at Death Threat 0.2 in Round One until it broke a track. Death Threat was then thrown OOTA by Merlin, but Killotine then pitted him and went down as well. In Round Two, we saw Killotine€™s ultimate state of extreme aggression when it smashed up the weaponry and armour of Black Death, and it easily won the JD at the end, but 19th seed Atomic gave Killotine hell at the start of the Heat Final, but Steven fought back and shoved Atomic over the flipping spikes, before attacking the base panel to send Atomic into meltdown!

It€™ll cut above the rest of you - which is quite painful! What this is a unique 100cm wide axle robot with 2 wheel pod to protect the 2 x Vulcanised wheels powered by 2 x LEM130€™s at 48V. The armour on this thing is 3.25mm Hardox all over, except for the 4mm Titanium skirts which protect the 2.5cm ground clearance, but the major note on this robot is its massive Hardox disc, laser cut to form teeth that help when the disc crashes into something, being powered by a 52hp LEM200 at 48V. The disc is driven from the middle of the robot, so anything that fits with the shape is potential food! All good all around, but its axlebot nature means that the powerful motors are going to be put to waste!

In E.O.T.R 4: This very interesting robot has had a very interesting route through the ranks so far, as it smashed up the BattleBot called M.O.E after M.O.E was pushed into it by 26th seed Wild Thing. In Round Two, it took a few hits to kill 10th seed MegaByte - the first 3 killed the shell, and the next hit killed the body! It then met Panic Attack, and skinned the real robot of all its armour until it died.

Both robots move outwards into the arena, the wheels of Killotine moving and the disc of YACATR spinning at speeds beyond all descriptions! They move in, closer, and closer - the axe of the Scot slams down, and the disc of the Englishman makes contact, almost at the same time! BANG! As YACATR flies off into the distance, scarring is seen to have formed in the front wedge of Killotine, but worse has happened to YACATR, as we see a Titanium skirt battered and beaten lying on the floor! Killotine seems to be willing to come in on another assault on his opponent, but so is AJ! And the two robots collide, but Killotine spins away just in time to slam the axe down into the Hardox top! YACATR seems slightly worried, but not enough to be hit again, and now IT SPINS AROUND TO BRING THE DISC ONTO KILLOTINE€™S FRONT!! CLANG! The sound of the Hardox wedge being dented inwards is a worrying noise for Steven€¦so he hits in again to bring the axe crashing down, this time onto the wheels of YACATR! The Hardox tip of the axe lodges into the Vulkalon! Killotine now pushes his helpless victim into the pit release button, but now YACATR is free, and is spins away from the wall to end up side-on to Killotine! AJ drives forwards! RIP! The side-armour of the Scot is torn off, leaving the beauty of the internals on show for all! AJ sees a chance and prepares to rip in once more, but Steven reverses away and strikes the axe down ONTO THE SPINNING BLADE OF YACATR! The axe isn€™t seriously damaged, and now Steven strikes the silver spot on the top of YACATR, and suddenly the disc spins away! The audience cheers as the Hardox battering blade rolls off and suddenly falls down into the pit! YACATR is now helpless to attack, as Killotine pushes under the unskirted side and slammed it onto the edge of the pit, but YACATR looks too wide! AJ smiles at this, but Killotine shifts it a bit to the side, and a wheel is now stuck in the pit! AJ now puts his controls down, but it isn€™t moving and the count begins!

+1>From Toronto, Canada, seeded #2, Wedginator 6.0!!
-1>Entered by Kody Kunz
A cross with between a Wedge and the Terminator, this robot has it all - the ability to destroy heavy machinery, and the ability to never die. Wedginator is a specially designed wedge shaped robot, powered by the most frequent of vapourbot power housings - the 2 x LEM130 at 36V, 18hp, and 24mph! The way the weapon works is that the entire 6mm Hardox armour is tilted, making it a near Full-Body flipper. The front is a front-hinged flipper, and the rear is a rear hinged flipper, but it can only lift 300kg, and flip 175kg, due to the weight of the armour. The front and rear are dead zero, but the sides are 4mm!

In E.O.T.R 3: Had an AWESOME and shocking run through the competition, starting off in Round One by scooping up and tossing 16th seed Son Of Wedgie into the pit with relative ease, taking near-t-no notice of RCC2 in the process. In Round Two, it looked like it would be outclassed by Infusion Delta, but Kody insisted on pitting his opponent, and did, despite gaining a few memory cuts. And then it took on fellow new boy on the block, Flick Of The Wrist, and the two brutally fought, but the high clearance on Flick meant that Wedginator got under won the JD! 20th seed Tengu VII bashed it up badly in the first Round of the semis, and it didn€™t look good for the new boy, but a lucky shot with the rear flipper allowed for the spinner to be upon the wall, upside-down, meaning Tengu€™s famous self-righter couldn€™t work! The next battle was even more surprising against 5th seed Black Panther Queen - they exchanged flips and axe blows, but shockingly, Wedginator flipped it against the wall before performing an OOTA! 7th seed and ex-champ Killotine: EVO fell victim in the 6th Round, as Killotine tried his best, but was still pitted. But in the Final, it looked all set for Wedginator to take the title against 8th seed Kali, but Kali turned it all around and Wedginator soon fell to the rightful champion via an OOTA!
In E.O.T.R 4: (SEEDED 2) Got through Round One just as easily as last year, as it and Dreadnaut XP-1 teamed up on Suicidal Tendincies, until it flipped Dreadnaut onto its back, bad news for Dreadnaut, but good news for Wedginator, when in Round Two, Wedginator stacked a newcomer called Turbo Shredder against the wall, before in the Heat Final, Wedginator, Series 3 runner-up went up against ex-champ and 18th seed Whirligig 4.0, and many hits and flips were exchanged until Wedginator won on a JD

Fire And Ice, Yin And Yang, Fish And Fish! This robot looks to be a promising design, effectively using a tracked design with enforced steel protection, with added rubber for grip. The tracks are powered by LEM130€™s at 36V, allowing for an outburst of 36hp! The power is so great that this robot can reach speeds of 16mph, or 25mph if needed. As well as all this power, it had some active weaponry, and they are 2 x 20cm diameter diamond edged saw blades, one in the centre of each wedge, powered by S28-150 Magmotors at 24v to around 3500rpm. It has armourment hard to rival, using 5mm Hardox, and underneath that, the robot has serious amounts of shock-proofing to prevent it being shock-killed when facing a spinner. The tracks may be vulnerable to axes, but it looks quite good.

It needed yet another JD in order to get past the dangerous 32nd seed Another Night At The Bar, when Fire And Ice just pushed on to win, to make it to the Heat Final against Achilles, and Achilles flipped Fire And Ice around, but soon the newcomer rammed the seed into the far wall, and Achilles wouldn€™t move, so then Fire And Ice moved into the semis!

The faster Wedginator is lightning fast out of its starting zone, and is soon followed by Fire And Ice. The two highly experienced designs speed together AND COLLIDE WITH A BANG! Wedginator seems to have come out better from that ram, having his wedge front underneath the box-wedge structure of Fire And Ice! Now it seems that Joey is trying to reverse off the steep wedge shape of Wedginator, but he can€™t, as he hits the pit release button with a bang! Kody flipped on impact, but Fire And Ice didn€™t go over the wall, and now Joey is back in the running, and runs straight into the sides of Wedginator, as sparks fly off in all directions as a result of the impact of the saws! As Fire And Ice smashes underneath the seed, it drives his opponent into the far wall at great speed! Wedginator rattles around as he impacts against the wall, but doesn€™t seem quick enough to escape another charge from the newcomer, and Fire And Ice smashes in again, with more sparks flying away as the saws hit in again!! Wedginator seems to spin away again and pushing underneath the sides of Fire And Ice, and then a burst of CO2! Fire And ice goes flying over against the wall, but suddenly, Joey drives into the front of Wedginator! There€™s a massive bang, and WEDGINATOR IS UNDERNEATH AND PUSHING FIRE AND ICE TOWARDS THE WALL! He flips! Fire And Ice lands on the top of the wall, backs away for the final attack, but the tracks on Fire And Ice drive it off the wall! The two make violent contact again, AND THIS TIME, WEDGINATOR RIDES UP THE WEDGE! Fire And Ice now starts speeding last times runner-up towards the pit and suddenly€¦BOOM! Down falls Wedginator!

Fed up of killing wildlife, Ramthrax is now going for robots! This robot is a powerhouse of traction and power combined, using 6 wheels coated with Vulkalon, allow for the ultimate in terms of tractions, and it also has 2 x B42-500 Magmotors at 48V, allowing for massive amounts of horsepower! On the front is a massive concave Hardox plate, designed to kill FBS€™s, which it€™s designed to take on and to stop spinners, it has 4mm Tungsten Steel skirts on the sides. In the scoop as well are two actuators which can lift a 100kg robot 5cm off the ground, allowing for a bigger ram. Despite all this, although the armour on the front is the toughest ever in vapourbot history, the sides, top and rear armour is 3mm Titanium€¦

In E.O.T.R 2: Had an easy Round One battle after pitting TIRTASM with helping from reigning champ Killotine: EVO. In Round Two, it was tougher when 17th seed FireStorm 5 pinned it on the walls, and got ready for an OOTA, but Alex escaped and dumped FireStorm down the pit! It met the Champion Killotine: EVO in the Heat A final, and it went totally wrong as Steven€™s axe robot took out the control box, leaving Mr. Holt€™s robot dead in the arena.
In E.O.T.R 3: (SEEDED 17) Assisted with Seung Mina III in helping to remove Disc-O-Inferno from the competition, with Ramthrax slamming it around the ring before Seung Mina made the final flip to send the realie OOTA! In Round Two, it slammed Panicking around, eventually nudging it down the pit! But in the second Round, it took on the 1st seed and Champion again, this time it was Whirligig 4.0! And despite loosing a piece of side-armour, Ramthrax shocked the crowd and bookies by pitting the Champion. The side-armour was repaired for the semi-finals, and it met the 12th seed and realie Big Nipper. Big Nipper got in a few good slams and dodges, but Ramthrax controlled the majority of the fight, and Alex won a JD! It then had a grudge-match - with Killotine: EVO, now reduced to 7th seed! The battle was fast and furious, but once again, Killotine killed the control box, ending Ramthrax€™s glorious run!
In E.O.T.R 4: (SEEDED 6) Ramthrax began in style by killing off Darke Destroyer with a single, powerful hit! It was an easy win, and it went through with Black Death, before one of its toughest battles against Aftershock, who constantly sent Ramthrax flying onto its back, but it didn€™t sustain much in the way of damage and the seed won a JD. The same happened in the Heat Final against the lethal machine, Leprosy Infection seed 22. The battle however was closer, but not close enough, as Ramthrax took another semi-final spot!

Coming from the down of Bedford, we have a robot! Of course we have a robot, but this is no ordinary robot - it€™s Sithis! Sithis is a special design it€™s a 90x90x30 cylinder which involves a 20kg spinning ring powered by an Etek, with 2 x 5kg Curved Hardox teeth, designed to rip into armour and tear out panels rotating around the edges! The spinner also produces 100kj of energy .The drive on this baby is 2 x LEM130€™s at 36V which power 4 x Invertible wheels with Vulkalon treads! The motors give 15mph, which is great, and so is the armour of 8mm Titanium all around, but it is frail against more powerful weapons.

In the Heat Final, we got an almighty shock, when Orka knocked it around no issue, but in the closing stages of the battle, as Sithis was edged towards, the pit, Orka came in for the final push-down, but the challenger shockingly spun Orka down the pit!

The heavy Hardox blades spin up quickly, but it looked slow compared to the speed Ramthrax sped out at! The rammer and the spinning teeth collide, and there a MASSIVE bang! Ramthrax is spun off, but Sithis is deflected away, before it quickly rams in! A Titanium panel of Ramthrax lies on the floor, beaten and bruised out of shape, but the rammer still doesn€™t stop! It presses on great speeds, and it still doesn€™t stop€¦BANG! Sithis is reflected back against the wall, and crashes against the spikes! The Hardox blades catch hold of the thin point and THEY BECOME BENT OUT OF SHAPE! That gives us some idea of the power in Sithis, but Ramthrax, controlled by an enthusiastic Alex Holt doesn€™t care about the raw energy and POWERS IN AGAIN! This time Sithis is pinned in against the spikes, and the shell grounds down to a halt! Ramthrax is now bringing in the lifter, as we see the powerful weapon-on-wheels being suspended in the air! The seed slowly reverses away, out into the centre of the ring, still suspending Sithis€¦AND THEN HE DRIVES FORWARD! BANG! Sithis looks to have taken the blow, but we see a tooth bent out of shape! Sithis spins in a circle, trying to break loose from Ramthrax€¦AND HE€™S SUCEEDED!! The shell spins now, moving at once again break-neck speeds! Ramthrax still shows no fear, and charges in BUT MISSES! Danny sees this chance and hits the side, and creaking of metal being peeled from its edges in deafening! Now BOTH of the sides on Ramthrax are exposed, but now Alex now this and finally starts becoming less aggressive. Sithis hits in again, this time at the front-right, SENDING RAMTHRAX INTO A 360 SPIN! Alex now backs away from another potential slam, and now speeds in, stopping the shell - but its quickly back up to speed! Alex hits in once more, and continues hitting€¦UNTIL IT BOUNCES DANNY€™S MACHINE INTO THE PIT RELEASE BUTTON! Sithis hits it, and now dents the Hardox rim of the button! Danny is amazed of the damage capability of his own machine, but Alex now this and turns Sithis onto the edge of the pit - Sithis has one side dangling over the drop into oblivion. Danny knows what happens next, as Ramthrax moves in and charges it down!

+1>From Bourne, Lincolnshire, seeded #9, Psyclonised!!
-1>Entered by AJ
Look out for the eye of the storm, and look out for Psyclonised!! This can do quite well - it€™s an invertible circular robot, with a spinning ring around the edge, making it something known as a ring spinner, but it also has a complicated spinning cage mounted to it, which has 3 very heavy and large Hardox blocks attached together by Hardox rods 8mm thick to dish out some serious hurts using its LEM200 motor with an output of 52hp! The cage works as an anti-axe and anti-crusher frame, and speeds of 15mph from 2 x LEM130€™s at 24V are nothing to argue with, especially since it goes onto 4 x Vulkalon wheels! If anyone can find a weakness in this machine, we€™ll be the first to tell you€¦even though we might not need to.
In E.O.T.R 1: Performed well against SD IV with help from Orka MK.4 in Round One. SD IV was smashed up badly by Psyclonised before it was pitted by Orka MK.4. However, Psyclonised met up with home robot Crusher C.U, who held onto the anti-crusher frame and turned the greatest strength for Psyclonised into its greatest weakness, as the spinner was surprisingly pitted!
In E.O.T.R 2: (SEEDED 23) Basically wrecked the early competition in the heat, first taking apart the Polycarbonate built Panicking, then it messed up the RingMaster in a few hits and even mucked up the lethal terror of 7th seed SNDOS. It met 11th seed Wedge Devolution, and it caused some MAJOR harm to the wedge. However, after the damage was sustained, Wedge suddenly defied all fear, and pushed the storm towards the edge of the ring before tossing Psyclonised away like a lethal Frisbee, when it landed OOTA!
In E.O.T.R 3: (SEEDED 13) Got through Round One easily when Turbo Tails used it for its own diabolical schemes when it smashed Splinter limb from limb and then Turbo Tails cleaned up the rubbish and dumped it in the pit! Psyclonised€™s Round Two opponent was Forklift 3, who was expected to be a dangerous foe, but after its flipper was nearly ripped out by Psyclonised, it was a goner and Psyclonised killed it easily from then-on! In the Heat Final, there was a big match-up between Turbo Tails and Psyclonised€¦and the seed won, killing his enemy in one shot! In the semi-final, it was instantly drawn against 7th seed Killotine: EVO. It ripped out the executing axe, but Steven soon used his power advantage to now dominate the fight and win a JD!
In E.O.T.R 4: (SEEDED 9) A team-up in Round One made Cable turn into scrap metal at the mercy of the power of Psyclonised and Shrederator! In the next round, it faced Typhoon 2, and they both hit each other with massive force. It went to the judges and Psyclonised won on aggression and style! In the Heat Final, it was then drawn against the dangerous Shrederator, but it didn€™t last that long, and soon Shrederator was dead and Psyclonised was the winner!

Archaeologists have discovered a new breed of dinosaur - it seems to be known as Die-Ceratops ReInvertus, meaning €˜the likely winner of this contest€™! Since last series, the Dinosaur has undergone a couple of chances, including a higher ground clearance to make it more controllable, and it also now has more powerful motors, like the 2 x S28-400 Magmotors at 24V, making 12hp on 4 wheels. The armourment on this beast is 8mm Titanium which provides some good defence, so it can get the flipper into play, as the flipper produces 1000kg at the tips! A speed of 15mph makes it very tough to combat, but there are more agile robots about!
In E.O.T.R 1: Bombed out in Round One, after nearing taking out MORD2, it got its tyres torn into rubber strips by Whirligig 4.0.
In E.O.T.R 2: Did much better by flipping about SUNCUST after 8th seed Whirligig damaged SUNCUST before Die-Ceratops OOTAed the American, despite taking a bit of grief. In Round Two, it dealt out ALL the grief to 24th seed Dantomkia. After immobilising Dantomkia and then tossing it down the pit, it met Whirligig once more, and put up a very good fight, once nearly getting it OOTA, but the eventual champion was able to tear up the wheels once more.
In E.O.T.R 3: (SEEDED 15) Took out the terrifying Infusion Gamma in a matter of seconds, without help of Axeon 2.0. Then the second round, an equally short performance, as the lethal Full-Body Drum (FBD) of Aftershock was shocked and out, but then he took on Axeon 2.0, and a thrilling battle ensued, which involved flips, and a lot of axe-blows. Sadly though, Die-Ceratops stopped moving in the dying moments of the battle, allowing Axeon to win.
In E.O.T.R 4: (SEEDED 23) Effortlessly took out the American real robot FrenZy, when Axe To Fall axed it and Die-Ceratops tossed it out the ring before taking part in a lightning fast battle against SOR Hex. SOR Hex was out the ring before it could do anything to Die-Ceratops, and then the Heat Final against the powerful 7th seed Wedge Devolution was fast and filled with flips, but Die-Ceratops won out to make it to the semi-finals!

AJ storms his design into the battle once more, blades whirling around with the massive Hardox blocks looking like blurs! A large dent quickly appears in the side of Die-Ceratops, but it€™s only a dent€¦UNTIL PSYCLONISED HITS IN AGAINST! Another flip and Psyclonised once against stops spinning, and once again he attempts to get it back to spin up to speed again!
