The K-TOAD tournament
Tactics are just to quickly drive in at the front, getting the wedge under his body before the claws can grip me, carry him to the arena wall and you know the rest :)
If the claws do grip, it becomes a pushing match which I should be able to win as I believe LEMs Boschs, and the rubber on my tracks should give better traction than just basic tracks. Hes not going to be able to damage me, which is the main thing.

The K-TOAD tournament
Hypertension Mk 3 Vs. Axe To Fall: Axe To Fall has VERY good power and a VERY powerful axe, but to me, Hypertension has more siding with it, so Ill go for Hypertension Mk.3 to score the vital OOTA.
Resonance Vs. Flick of the Wrist: Resonance may be extremely damaging, but Flicks speed and power is going to overwhelm the drum on Resonance for Flick to win through.
Flyte Vs. Nitro-Gene 2.0 (2): Simple plan for this fight, just get under and flip! my front SHOULD be low enough to get under, then use my massive 42hp advantage to just power him along towards the wall and flip - my flipper has MORE than enough power to do so. If he gets under me, just spin away from him quickly, and then I push under his flipper whilst its raised.
Good luck Aaron
The May Tracks Have You (1) Vs. Death Threat: Ill have to do for the Champion here.
Great fights by the way, Dave.

The K-TOAD tournament
Looks like a great quarter final draw, some top vapourbots in there!
I think Axe to Fall should be able to beat Hypertension without too much difficulty. Resonance and Flick of the Wrist should be a great fight between two great bots. However I€™ll pick Flick for the win. Battle of the flippers between Flyte and Nitro Gene, which is really starting to make a name for itself. I reckon Flyte might be able to steal this one though. And then the 1st seed against the dark horse of the tournament in Death Threat. I€™ve gotta say I think May Tracks will be heading to the next round.
All round it should be good and I€™ll enjoy reading these cracking battles. :proud:

The Quarter-Finals, Fight 1
Only 8 robots remain, 4 more need to be eliminated before the semi finals, so who is up first?
Hypertension Mk 3 vs. Axe To Fall
In round 1, Hypertension Mk 3, known as Hypo, flipped Acronyms over the fence, following Frank€™s machine when Baldur in round 2, as the classic wedge with flipper enters the arena.
In round 1, Axe to Fall got beaten up but managed to scoop Metal Sonic Spin Dash up with the axe and dump the Scottish machine 6 feet under, which is where the 4th seed, Avarice ended up after beating Axe to Fall up. The scars from both battles are easily seen, as Martijn didn€™t have a replacement lid, so there is quite a lot of duck tape on Axe to Fall covering the numerous holes.
Both machines are in the arena, the fence is up as the action gets ready to begin.

Storming Norman, Hypo is not hanging around and is off the starting line straight away, wheels spinning on the slightly rough arena surface, as Martijn is getting ready to defend the sides of Axe to Fall from that flipper, as he knows that one false move will put Axe to Fall into danger of needing to drink some red bull to fly back into the arena. Both robots are coming together, Hypo will the slightly higher top speed by 2.6 mph, but those skirts mean that it has limited manoeuvrability, against the skirt-less Axe to Fall.
Hypo dives to the right and spins around and drives into Axe to Fall, Martijn, whom I am going to be calling Mart from now on to save time, flicks his wrists and manages to get the front wedge to be introduced to the front wedge of Hypo. The axe fires planting a blow onto the top of Hypo, as the lower front end of Axe to fall manages to get underneath Hypo, the axe fires again, landing another blow into the top of Hypo, not making much of an impact on the Hardox, but it has left a nasty dent, as Axe to Fall pushes the 2 wheel drive wedge backwards, before Hypo puts one wheel into forward drive and the other wheel into reverse, spinning the machine off the wedge of Axe to Fall.
Mart spins Axe to Fall around and gets another blow into the top of Hypo, again not causing too much major damage, just sticking another little dent in the top with the diamond tipped blade, as Hypo drives away to safety before spinning around and charging in towards Axe to Fall. Matt spins the wheels to try and get a side blow, but once more Mart is ready and Axe to Fall spins around, but Hypo is getting closer and is circling Axe to Fall, Mart is turning Axe to Fall to keep Hypo at bay, as Matt quickly flicks the controls spinning Hypo into the other direction and charges at Axe to Fall before Mart can correct the mistake as the front wedge of Hypo slots in underneath the side of Axe to Fall and the button for the flipper is pressed, but no action from the flipper, as Matt pushes Axe to Fall towards the arena wall, Mart is rocking Axe to Fall to get enough traction to get away, as the flipper button is pressed and suddenly the flipper fires sending Axe to Fall straight into the arena wall, and back onto the wheels, as Mart drives away before Matt can get another attack in.
Pieces of the duck tape holding the shell of Axe to Fall have come away, showing some of the holes which Avarice placed, as Axe to Fall spins around as Hypo comes storming in, Matt flicking the controls once to the left but twice to the right to send Axe to Fall the wrong way in the classic duff move, and gets the flipper in underneath Axe to Fall and fires the flipper again, this time sending Axe to Fall onto a lovely roll, and almost a full 360 degree as it lands on the side, the plastic shell has buckled underneath the weight breaking the perfect roll as Axe to Fall fires the axe to self-right, but Matt is straight underneath Axe to Fall within a matter of a few moments and fires the flipper, as Axe to Fall goes up and in a lovely arc hitting the top of the fence, falling onto the camera tracks and resting. Mart presses the special Red Bull button as wings pop out of Axe to Fall as it flies back into the arena.
Cease
Axe to Fall flipped out of the arena before flying back into the arena by the use of Red Bull, but it is Hypertension which is the first robot into the semi-finals, to face the winner of the battle between Flick of the Wrist and Resonance, which is up next.

Quarter Finals, Fight 2
Last time saw Hypo book its spot into the semis after rolling Axe to fall out of the arena, this time it is the return of Mart€™s 2nd quarter-finalist against the first of Aaron€™s quarter-finalists.
Flick of the Wrist vs. Resonance.
In round 1, Flick of the Wrist overpowered 3rd seed Forklift 2 and dumped it in the pit. In round 2, Flick of the Wrist overpowered Wedga€™s Revenge and after knocking it out by ramming into it, dumped it into the pit.
In round 1, Resonance needed a judge€™s decision to overcome Tenderizers Revenge 2, after beating Richard€™s machine up, and in round 2, after a close battle where Resonance took some serious damage to the drum and to the side pods, Aaron€™s machine knocked off a wheel on Biacs, allowing the judges to award Resonance the win.
Both machines are in the arena, Flick of the Wrist has been undamaged from its first 2 fights, where Resonance has been rebuilt in the short-time.
Both machines are taken into the arena, and are unlocked from the cage; the only change to Flick of the Wrist is the new forks replacing the old ones, where Resonance is unchanged. Both Roboteers are in the booths, ready for some action.
And here comes that action

Flick of the Wrist is straight out of the starting square, Mart not waiting around, as Resonance gets its drum up-to speed, as Mart€™s machine comes straight into play, aiming for the wheel pods, to push against Resonance. Aaron manages to dodge the attack as Flick of the Wrist sails on by, before spinning around on the spot and coming straight back onto the offensive.
Another quick dodge from Resonance, as it comes onto the attack, trying to land a blow onto the body of Flick of the Wrist, as Mart flicks Flick of the Wrist around on the spot and comes back with yet another attack. Both robots slam together, the front end of Flick of the Wrist going under the drum, as something flies up from the combat seen, and another thing as Flick of the Wrist is sent into a retreat, some of the front armour has been torn away from the body, but as Flick of the Wrist turns around on the spot again, Resonance comes back onto the attack, but Flick of the Wrist gets away and comes back with a counter-attack.
Aaron turns to counter the side-attack, as Flick of the Wrist slams straight into the wheel pod, the spike spinning Resonance around as the drummed machine slams into the rear corner of Flick of the Wrist, making some lovely cuts into the armour, as Flick of the Wrist spins back around, knowing not to slam head-on into the side wheel pods as they add like a pivot, spinning Resonance around instead of pushing it backwards, Mart aims with another attacking run towards the rear of Resonance, Aaron spins his machine around, but not fast enough to catch Flick of the Wrist as it slams into the side wheel pod, the front forks start to raise, lifting the wheel pod off the ground to loosen the grip, but it€™s hard due to the torsion springs, but Flick of the Wrist puts on full power, driving Resonance into the pit wall at high speeds. The force sends Resonance around, as the drum catches onto the raised forks, causing some rather serious damage as they are pushed up as a crack is heard; one side limps down as something has broken inside the machine.
Flick of the Wrist redraws from Resonance, as Mart tries to lower the forks, as the left hand fork lowers, the right hand fork stays still, hanging limp, as Flick of the Wrist turns and launches into a kamikaze style attack, driving straight towards Resonance. Aaron holds his ground the drum is spinning as he looks to cause some more lovely damage to Flick of the Wrist. Suddenly at the last moment, Mart spins to the right but suddenly spins the left, as Aaron turns Resonance to the left Mart dives again to the right, as he manages to catch the front of the wheel pod in between the spikes and pushes backwards, trying to counter-act the pivot effect of the wheels being so far apart, as Aaron spins the other wheels around to try and get Resonance to spin around to slam into the side of Flick of the Wrist again, as it breaks free, slamming into the side of Flick of the Wrist, as Aaron drives forward again sending Flick of the Wrist into the air, as it lands, some more armour comes away, as the side of Flick of the Wrist is exposed, Mart turns and comes in with another attacking mission, knowing that he must try and get Resonance down the pit in the final 90 seconds of the battle.
Another bang as Flick of the Wrist fails to get away from Aaron€™s drum trick, forcing the front end into the drum, as the right hand broken fork flies away from the rest of the machine, as Flick of the Wrist puts on full drive and pushes Resonance backwards, slamming it into the pit release, the drum starts to spin up again, as Flick of the Wrist comes away, the damage to the front is seen for the first time, as there is hardly anything left of the front, it€™s been taken back to the bone, the left hand fork is still working just, as Mart comes in another attack, as Aaron eyes up the other fork and starts to spin the drum up-to speed again. Mart spins around Resonance as 45 seconds remain. Aaron knows he just has to hold out for the remainder of the fight for Resonance to get the judge€™s decision, as Flick of the Wrist tries to get around the rear end of Resonance.
Aaron is trying to keep up with flick of the wrist, but the added speed from the 6 wheel drive Flick of the Wrist manages to get into an attack, slamming into the side wheel pod, and pushing Resonance sideways, the wheels on Resonance are trying to overcome the sideways force to get moving forward, as the pit is coming nearer, Resonance tries to break free again, the drum ready to cause some more damage to the damaged side of Flick of the Wrist, as it comes away, turning, but so does Flick of the Wrist as both robots meet head-on again, with a mighty bang. Flick of the Wrist is lifted up, but the wheels are spinning trying to push Resonance backwards, backwards towards the pit, 15 seconds remain, as Flick of the Wrist is managing to push Resonance backwards, the wheels are trying to push back against the raging bull of Flick of the Wrist, the pit is less than 3 metres away with 10 seconds to go. 9 seconds, 8 seconds, 7 seconds and as Resonance goes down the pit followed by Flick of the Wrist who couldn€™t stop in time.
Cease
And it is another pitting from Flick of the Wrist, but taking some rather serious looking damage to the weaponry, as both forks are lying on the ground, joining some pieces of armour tore at the edges, but it is Flick of the Wrist which goes forward to the semi-finals.
Next time it is:

The K-TOAD tournament
The Killer Toad Tournament
Quarter-Finals, Fight 3
Flyte vs. Nitro-Gene 2.0 (2)
2 places have gone in the final 4, 2 places remain, and it is another flipper vs. flipper fight.
In round 1, Flyte put out Paul€™s 2nd machine, Autosim by placing it over the fence, which is where Turbo Tails ended up in the most 1 sided fight of round 2, making it 2 OOTA€™s in a row for Aaron€™s machine, will the 2nd seed be his 3rd robot over the fence?
In round 1, Nitro-Gene needed a judge€™s decision to get past Die-Ceratops, but it didn€™t need a judge€™s decision to get passed Drilla Killa who went sailing over the fence.
I€™m going to be making the assumption that Flyte is using the skirts, due to the last line in his stats about fighting flippers. Both robots are pushed into the arena, the gap between the safety wall and the fence has been cleared out of anything which could be used as target practise.

And both robots are away, Nitro-Gene pulling away using its 6 wheels against the 4 wheels of Flyte, both are similarly shaped, invertible boxes with front wedges. Flyte is holding back, wanting Nitro-Gene to come and attack it, Aaron€™s machine has a slight speed disadvantage, but due to the lowness of the machine it can handle rather well, as Nitro-Gene launches into a running attack, fog horns sounding, as Flyte dodges the attack, as Nitro-Gene brushes past Flyte, Aaron spins around and gives chase, Nitro-Gene is trying to pull away from Flyte in order to turn to get the wedge into play, Paul knowing that the distance between Nitro-Gene and the arena wall is getting slower as he spins to the right and gets away from danger.
Flyte spins around as Aaron is looking for when Nitro-Gene will make its 2nd attack, as Paul comes storming in again, trying to get under the front wedge of Flyte, as once more Aaron waits until the last moment before spinning Flyte out of the storming train, spinning around again and gives chase to Nitro-Gene, Paul turns his machine around, in a fancy J-turn as it spins the wheels pulling away as both robots crash together. Flyte is underneath the front end of Nitro-Gene, the low centre of gravity on Flyte making it hard to get underneath, as Aaron fires the flipper, sending Nitro-Gene towards the arena wall, as the 2nd seed lands on it€™s back, but inside the fence, Paul drives away to try and get some space to self-right to get the flipper back into play.
Aaron€™s attack has made him happy, as he turns the battle on its head and keeps on trying to attack Nitro-Gene. Paul keeps on dodging, but all this dodging isn€™t helping him getting back onto his base to get the flipper back into play. Flyte attacks once more, as Paul dodges the attack again, trying to get some space, but Aaron is back on top of Nitro-Gene, as Paul spins his machine away in an act of defence, but Flyte is back on top of the 6 wheel drive machine in no time, as Nitro-Gene pulls away, the flipper of Flyte fires, narrowly missing the corner of Nitro-Gene, as Flyte gives chase, Nitro-Gene has opened up a reasonable gap as Paul fires the flipper to self-right, launching nitro-Gene into a stylist spin in the air, getting awarded some good marks from the judges for the gymnastics, as Flyte catches up as Nitro-Gene lands, bouncing on impact, as it has no time to balance out, Paul presses the forward drive button to get away from Flyte.
Flyte has returned to being defensive, as Nitro-Gene turns and looks at ways in which to attack, as 2 minutes remain. Flyte comes back onto the attack, trying to force Nitro-Gene into making a mistake to get under, Nitro-Gene is holding for the same thing as the nitrogen powered machine towers over Flyte, well its 6cm taller, as Aaron spins around and drives away from Nitro-Gene, heading towards the pit release button, exposing the rear end. Nitro-Gene gives chase as Aaron thinking that his trap has worked spins Flyte around and goes into a box-rush. For the 2nd time of the fight, both robots crash into each other, both going at full speed, and as before the lower front end of Flyte is underneath the low front end of Nitro-Gene, as Paul tries to reverse off the flipper, Aaron fires the flipper as Nitro-Gene was on the edge, putting Nitro-Gene into a rather horrible looking spin on the spot, but before the front end can hit the ground, Flyte has box-rushed the rear end again, and is underneath Nitro-Gene for the 3rd time.
Aaron is hoping for the 3rd time lucky, as he drives Nitro-Gene towards the arena wall, Paul is trying to get away from the flipper again, but the wheels are spinning as Nitro-Gene is on top of Flyte, Aaron spins around so the rear end is facing the fence, as the flipper fires sending Nitro-Gene up again, but landing on the arena wall, resting on it€™s pointy rear end, flipper side down, as Paul presses the flipper button to try and remove Nitro-Gene from the wall as Flyte is lining up for the fatal attack, the flipper of Nitro-Gene fires, and instead of sending Nitro-Gene away from the wall into the arena, it sends a section of the fence backwards, breaking the arena fence, as it lands back onto the wheels, leaving a hole in the arena fence, as the fence is on the camera tracks. The judge wants to stop the battle for the time being so that the wall is repaired.
Cease
Both robots€™ positions are sprayed out on the arena floor as both are pushed towards the other end of the arena, power links whipped out as the workmen enter to inspect the damage caused by Nitro-Gene€™s flipper as it tried to push itself off the wall, but they report on the radio that it looks bad and isn€™t going to be a quick 5-minute job as the damage reaches down to where the fence bolts down onto the arena floor, so the judge makes a decision to continue the remaining 64 seconds of the fight in the morning, allowing the workmen to fix the arena over-night.
The next day
Good news, the arena has been fixed; Paul has been given the broken section of arena to keep as a medal, as both robots are taken out of storage, the pit helpers were looking a bit worried as Nitro-Gene whose chassis has started to crack where the force of the flipper has put some nasty force on the chassis around where the flipper is hinged, but being mere pit helpers they can only look worried.

Both robots have started where they left off, as Flyte spins around to get away from Nitro-Gene€™s first attack, the 64 seconds are slowly ticking away, as Nitro-Gene launches into an attack on Flyte, Aaron spins in a controlled manner out of the way of danger, as Nitro-Gene spins around to avoid a repeat of what happened the last time, as Flyte comes onto the attack. Nitro-Gene dodging the attack rather well, as Flyte spins around to avoid Nitro-Gene from getting underneath the rear end, as Paul slams into Flyte, getting the front wedge under the side of Flyte, as Paul fires the flipper sending Flyte into the air, but it lands in the arena, upside down, as Aaron spins away from danger, a ear-spitting crack is heard from Nitro-Gene, as Paul comes in with another attack, Flyte spins around dodging the attack, and gets away from Nitro-Gene.
30 seconds remain, as Flyte self-rights in a rather boring matter compared to the jumps of Nitro-Gene, as Aaron dodges the attack from Nitro-Gene, as it runs into the arena wall. Paul spins around as Flyte attacks Nitro-Gene again, the front end of Flyte is under the sides of Nitro-Gene, but Nitro-Gene is close to the arena wall, as the flipper fires, putting Nitro-Gene onto the arena wall, in a repeat of yesterday€™s attack, this time Nitro-Gene is on it€™s side, not on it€™s back end, the pointed edges mean that the robot isn€™t resting directly on the sides, but at an angle. 20 seconds remain, as Flyte comes in with another attack, Nitro-Gene fires the flipper, as it pushes itself away from the fence, but down onto Flyte who wastes no time with a simple flip sending Nitro-Gene over the fence instead off onto the fence. However Nitro-Gene doesn€™t look right, as the flipper hasn€™t reset itself.
Cease
The 2nd seed is out of the arena and with some nasty looking damage to one end of the flipper hinge as the hinge has come away from the main chassis, but it is Flyte who after a while gets her 3rd robot over the fence and onto the dark side of the moon.
The next time, only 1 spot remain, as Death Threat has to take on the Champion, in the battle of the tracks, as it€™s May Tracks Has You plays Death Threat.

The K-TOAD tournament
Im in 2 minds about the way the fight when for me. In one mind Im extremely happy that I fought in a VERY well written battle.
But in the other mind, Im EXTREMELY dissappointed about what happened. Im not a sore loser, but Nitro-Gene and my team have come a long way since I first arrived, and its a long way to come into a competition - the top 8, and I put up a good fight - and to fall at that stage, it can be a bit odd. But Im also embarrased that Nitro-Gene suffered such a serious mechanical issue that I fall - I was hoping for a rematch with either May Tracks or Death Threat.
Ah well - you win some and you lose some...but beware - if Dave ever does another competition, Nitro-Gene 4.0 will be ready and waiting...BEWARE FLYTE! I want revenge and I will have revenge *Goes off into madman style before I realise Im in a liabary**

Quarter Finals, Fight 4.
The May Tracks Have You (1) vs. Death Threat
So it is the last quarter final, only 1 of these robots will join Hypertension, Flick of the Wrist and Autoism in the semi finals, only two things are certain, I didn€™t get a pizza and that the final semi finalist will have tracks.
In round 1, The May Tracks took out Shiny Happy People, and Death Threat took out Boxy, so overall both robots had byes to round 2, where May Tracks got underneath Eternia and sent it on a package holiday around the different camera tracks of the world. Death Thread pitted Cats with Wheels in a Danny vs. Danny fight.
Both robots are dropped off in the arena and are ready to fight it out to the death, or 5 minutes, or until one of them goes out of the arena or one of them ends up in the pit or one of them disappears into a plot hole the size of Russia.

The champion is away, away in a puff of smoke, as both tracked machines start rolling towards each other, May Tracks has the advantage in terms of speed, power, armour, but not weaponry as the crusher is mightier than the flipper, but when you consider that May Tracks has a 5-0 win rate by flipping robots out of the arena in this competition, Danny is worried, worried not about the fight, but about the baggage retrieval system they got at Heathrow T5, or is he worried about Ray, I could never tell.
Right back to the fight, both machines are slowly coming towards each other, Frank not opening up full taps, as the exposed tracks on Death Threat turn, the internal tracks of May Tracks turn, both robots come together. Death Threat tries to dodge the attack from May Tracks, but the 10 mph speed advantage beats Death Threat to that dodge, as both machines hit together head on, as Frank picks up a cocktail stick, and starts to chomp on it.
May Tracks is underneath the front skirt of Death Threat, the crushing claws of Death Threat are trying to crush against nothing as May Tracks puts on full power, the tracks of Death Threat are trying to get away from the May Tracks, as Danny puts on full power to climb up and over May Tracks as Frank waits before pressing the big red button on his controller. The flipper on May Tracks fires, sending Death Threat into a backwards spin, as May Tracks turns on the spot and gives chase and before Danny could move, May Tracks is underneath the upside down tracked machine and flips it straight away, sending Death Threat spinning towards the arena wall, of which it hits, with a crash of broken glass, of the glass one of the workmen left on the top of the fence due to him being an idiot.
Death Threat tries to get away from May Tracks, but Frank has got Death Threat edged, as May Tracks comes in getting underneath the upside down Death Threat, the skirts folded back onto their self, as the flipper fires, sending Death Threat over the arena wall, crashing down into the void.
Meanwhile a plot hole the size of Russia has opened as Ninjoid appears, this mighty machine with a massive blade on top starts to spin up, as the eyes of Frank roll down the stairs as his real eyes are in the socket as he wonders what the hell is going on as he drives straight into Ninjoid, the oversized spinning bar stopping as Ninjoid is sent over the arena fence as well, as more robots appear though the plot hole the size of Russia, Boxy is there, as well as Woody and Shiny Happy People, only for a moment as May Tracks rounds up the dead robots and sends them over the fence into the void.
Cease
May Tracks sends Ninjoid, Shiny Happy People, Woody, Boxy and Death Threat over the arena fence, as a lady screams at the sight of some fake glass eyes at the bottom of the stairwell, thinking there are real, but it is May Tracks moving into the semis.

Awwww, Hypertensions is a nice defensive little flipper that wont damage me a whole lot, thats the upside.
Dave, could I get a an actual damage rapport please?
For this fiht I shall keep my spikes as low to the ground as possible, even if that means all my tractionll be transfered to my 2 rear wheels. With my superior power a wedge-to-spikes hit will work in my advantae, and of course theres still the sides and r ear I could, and should, ram my way under.

Semi-Final 1
Flick of the Wrist vs. Hypertension Mk 3
And so the time has come for the first of the 2 semi finals, the final push to get to Wembley, where I will be on the 17th May, but before then, there is a small matter of which robot will go forward into the final.
The first robot into the arena is Flick of the Wrist, repaired from the quarter-finals, so the paintwork will not win any awards from the judges, but it€™s route to the semi finals is pitiful, pitting Forklift 2, pitting Wedga€™s Revenge and last time pitting Resonance after taking some serious damage. Mart has been busy as a beaver repairing Flick of the Wrist, but all was working earlier in the test zone.
The 2nd robot into the arena is Hypertension Mk 3; Hypo has repaired the dents in the top caused by Axe to fall, as Matt hopes to do the double over Mart. In round 1, Hypertension put Acronyms over the fence. In round 2, Hypo placed spinner proof Baldur over the fence and in the quarter finals; Axe to fall was the 3rd robot to go for a flying lesson.
The robots are ready for some action; the stage doors are secured, as both drivers give their thumbs up.

Both robots are away straight away, not wanting to hang around as Hypo comes onto the first attack to try and get underneath the ground clearance of Flick of the Wrist to place it over the fence, as Mart has lowered his front forks down, so much that the front 2 wheels of Flick of the Wrist are off the ground, as the power is transferred to the rear 4 wheels, as Flick of the Wrist dodges the first driving attack from Hypo as Matt tries to get underneath the front forks, as Mart spins around and comes onto the attack, digging up the wooden arena surface. That can€™t be good for the handling, as Hypo dodges the attack from Flick as easily as flicking his own wrist to take Hypo out of the way of danger.
Mart and Matt turn both machines around so they are facing head-on, as both drivers put on full power; more stuff is kicked up from the arena surface as Mart isn€™t making any friends with the arena repair guys, as Flick of the Wrist dodges to the right, and Hypo dodges to the right as both machines spin around for a repeat as again both robots dodge to the right, as a 3rd attack with the dancing continuing as both robots dodge to the left, Flick of a Wrist is digging a hole with the forks as for a 4th time both robots come charging towards each other, Matt dives to the right as Mart dives to the left as both robots slam head on, the front forks are underneath the front wedge of Hypo and at once Mart raises the forks up as well as putting on full power, driving Hypo towards the arena wall, the wheels of Hypo are not getting any grip so Matt can drive away from danger as there is an enormous crash as Flick of the Wrist places Hypo into the fence. Hypo goes up onto its rear end with the force of the ram.
Matt fires the flipper, as he knocks himself off the rear end, but straight onto Flick of the Wrist, which was waiting, as Hypo lands the forks lift, lifting the rear wheels of Hypo off the ground, which are spinning tossing up small pieces of arena, as Mart drives slowly towards the pit release button, which is a shock as the audience members were calling for a ram, ram, ram, but as the pit goes down those audience members are shouting out pit, pit, ram & pit, as Mart spins around, the flipper fires on Hypo as Matt tries to knock Hypo off the front forks, so it can get some grip, but to no success, as Flick of the Wrist lines up with the pit and drives towards it, lowering the front forks over the pit edge as Hypo is hanging as gravity takes over and pulls Hypo down, Matt firing the flipper in the attempt to do something as Hypo crashes onto the soft tyres of the pit.
Cease
Flick of the Wrist took control once under Hypo where it slowly pitted the flipping wedge to set itself up for the final, as the series 1 champion is into the final.
Next time, a video of the arena repair guys repairing the arena surface ready for May Tracks have you against Flyte, in the battle of the flippers.

The May Tracks Have You (1) vs. Flyte
Which of these 2 flipper robots, whom has managed to end every fight with a flick of the flipper over the fence, will face Flick of the Wrist in the final? So far May Tracks has put out Shiny Happy People, Eternia and Death Threat, where Flyte has put out Autosim, Turbo Tails before doing the double over Paul with Nitro-Gene.
In terms of the stats, May Tracks has the speed advantage and traction advantage, although Flyte has the power advantage and the advantage that if it€™s flipped it can run around upside down, where May Tracks will have to self-right, which could be it€™s downfall, both are wearing some skirts to give some protection against each other€™s co2 powered flipper weapons.

And as in the first semi final, both robots are away, and are heading towards each other, before suddenly both pull away from avoiding a head-on smash, as both spin around as Flyte drives away from May Tracks. Frank gives chase as Aaron spins Flyte around out of the way of danger from the tracked monster, as Frank turns his machine on the spot and gives chase for Flyte again.
Once more Flyte dives out of the way of May Tracks, those super torsion-sprung skirts so far not causing any problems, but Frank has seen the small gap on the corner where he could his wedge under the small machine, as Flyte spins around and manages to fool May Tracks into dodging the wrong way as Aaron€™s machine slams into the side skirts of May Tracks, as the skirts do their job as Flyte goes up the skirts instead of underneath then.
Aaron quickly makes a redraw as May Tracks turns and gives chase, Flyte spins around out of the way, but Frank makes some adjustments to the track speeds as he turns in a lovely arc heading towards Flyte, as Aaron tries to dive out of the way, but he is too slow as May Tracks slams into the front end and underneath the front wedge at an angle. Frank wastes no time and fires the flipper, sending Flyte towards the arena wall, but it lands short, but upside down, as May Tracks jumps back onto Flyte.
Flyte spins around getting out of the way from May Tracks, running upside down, so the skirts don€™t work and the front is exposed as Frank is trying to keep on top of Aaron€™s machine to prevent it from having enough space to self-right in safety. Flyte dodges out of the way of May Tracks, as Frank puts on full power and catches up with Flyte causing Flyte to dive out of the way, as May Tracks gives chase, chasing Flyte into one of the corners. Aaron tries to get out of the way of Frank€™s trap, as he tries to spin to one side, but May Tracks is using the extra speed to keep on top of Flyte, as Aaron spins around and puts on full power.
Both machines slam head-on as Flyte is up onto the wedge of May Tracks as the wheels spin on the smooth painted finish of May Tracks, the spike strip is up as the wheels spin on Flyte as it tries to get up and over the wedge as Frank fires the flipper, sending Flyte onto a flight and over the arena fence, crashing down onto the camera tracks.
Cease
Flyte tries to get up and over May Tracks, but lacked the traction to get up the wedge, as Frank places his 4th robot over the fence (excluding the robots he put over the fence when the plot-hole opened.
Therefore the 3rd place playoff looks like this:
Hypertension vs. Flyte
And the final therefore looks like:
The May Tracks Have You vs. Flick of the Wrist, as Frank looks to do something which hasn€™t been done in vapourbot land for a while (since MDU in VFT3&4, I think) and manage to successful defend his title.

Mattys machine to get the OOTA here.
THE MAY TRACKS HAS YOU vs. FLICK OF THE WRIST
Tricky one here. FotW can probably prevent TMTHY from getting under it, but TMTHW will be able to maneuver around the sides...
If it goes to a judges, itll go to Flick Of The Wrist. If it doesnt, May Tracks will OOTA Flick...Ill say May Tracks, but Im probably wrong.
Good fights, Mr. Dave

The Third Attempt at the Third Place Playoff.
The 3rd attempt because I didn€™t like the first 2 attempts at writing this epic battle between 2 of the most deadly flippers around
Hypertension mk3 vs. Flyte
Matt€™s Hypertension was placed into the pit in the last fight against Flick of the Wrist, where Flyte when on a flight out of the arena via May Tracks, so which robot will collect the bronze medal.
Comparing the stats, both are made from Hardox, both have flippers, Flyte has 4WD, where Hypertension has 2WD, Flyte can run upside down, Hypertension can€™t, speed wise Hypertension has a 2.6 mph advantage, where Flyte has skirts against Hypertension€™s lack of skirts.
Matt is in the 1st control booth, and Aaron is in the 2nd control booth, as they await as their machines are pulled into the arena, battered and in need of repairs, and that is just the trolleys, the arena is in a bad shape as well. Both machines are unloaded and activated, as the battle begins

Both machines are not hanging around, as both machine drivers put the controller into full forward drive, the front wedge of Hypo lifts under acceleration, as Flyte remains planted to the ground, as Flyte moves in as both robots smash head-on, without any type of dodge, as Flyte slips underneath Hypertension and fires the flipper sending Hypertension onto it€™s back.
There is an impression that Matt can€™t be bothered with the 3rd place playoff, as he self-rights, right onto Flyte, where Aaron starts to drive Hypertension towards the arena wall, before firing the flipper sending Hypertension over the arena fence, smashing down onto the camera tracks.
Cease
In a rather quick match, Flyte gets the 3rd place medal, as both drivers get pulled into an interview with Stephen.
Stephen: Matt, what happened?
Matt: He got under and flipped me over, by that time I knew it was worthless trying to fight back, as he got me on my back and there wasn€™t a lot I could do about it.
Stephen: What was all that focus off going head-on right at the start
Matt: It€™s only a 3rd place playoff, nothing worth fighting for.
Stephen: Well have a good evening
Matt: I will try
Stephen: Aaron, could you believe your luck
Aaron: Well, we had a deal, go head to head at the start and whoever came out best would go on to win
Stephen: Not really a proper fight
Aaron: nothing really worth fighting it out for.
Stephen: well have a good evening
Aaron: I will, where is the nearest pub?
Stephen: Go out of the main gate, and turn right, 100 metres down the road is the pub.
Aaron: Cheers
So the next time it is the big one, series 1 champion against the series 2 champion, both machines are defending a 7-0 win-lose rate, including the 2 warm-up events. As it is:
May Tracks Have You (1) vs. Flick of the Wrist.
-
The K-TOAD tournament
Itll be a close final, if May Tracks can get the spikes into play Frank has won it, if Flick can get around the side and lift it could be all over.
Its a close, but I think Frank has the edge due to better weaponry.

The K-TOAD tournament
WOOT! Well done Aaron - Flyte deserved 3rd place, and Im quite proud that both my robots fought it and nearly beat it...but in the end you won, and well done. But Ill get my sweet, sugar tasting revenge...:uhoh:
Dave, are you planning on writing an even bigger competition than this one, becuase Id deffinately enter, as this one has been WOOTY! Ill go for Martijn to win in the final by lifting May Tracks onto its back then ploughing it down the pit.
Good luck to the finalists

The May Tracks Have You vs. Flick of the Wrist
Im gonna trust this to be a most beautiful final. Tracks has a powerful flipper but I am invertible. If hes gonna try to puncuture my tires Ill just face him with the spikes and dig them into the ground so he cant get under. If he gets under, Im gonna drive straight over him rather than retreating to minimize the damage to my tires. Aim for the sides and show him what hazards the arena has to offer.
Good luck in this second Frank vs Martijn final Frank

The Final
The May Tracks Have You (1) vs. Flick of the Wrist
The first robot into the arena today is the current champion, May Tracks Have You, it has managed to defend it€™s title up-to this point, so will it beat Flick of the Wrist to win back-to-back titles? Frank€™s machine has tracks, weighs 100kg, is prove that you don€™t need an extra 10kg for a tracked machine to be successful, has a flipper at the front with spikes designed to trap robots from reversing off the wedge, but could do with something at the top of the wedge to trap robots from driving over the top.
The second robot into the arena today is Flick of the Wrist, looking worst for wear, but all that mild damage doesn€™t effect the operation of the robot. Mart€™s 6 wheel drive machine has bullied it€™s way to the final, by not giving up, by keeping on the attack, by bullying the other robot into making a mistake where the powerful drive slams the other robot into the arena wall/pit.
Both robots are in the arena, ready for the count-down.

And both robots are away, Flick of the Wrist is accelerating looking to get an early attack in on May Tracks, as Frank is keeping his front end pointing towards Flick of the Wrist, not wanting to run the risk of a side-way slam which could cause the tracks to damage, as Mart knows that Frank€™s front end is lower unless he puts the weight of the front on the forks again, but that makes turning harder, as it€™s double edged sword-blade of which Mart rides.
May Tracks comes onto the attack, however Flick of the Wrist using it€™s speed advantage speeds away from the front end of May Tracks, as Mart spins around, lowering the front forks and starts to move forward, cutting grooves out into the arena surface as Flick turns from 6 wheel drive machine to just 2 wheel drive, as both machines come together, as May Tracks spins around at the last moment, blinking as Flick of the Wrist spins around to try and stop May Tracks from getting under, but Mart is a moment too slow as the front end of May Tracks slips underneath the exposed side of Flick of the Wrist.
May Tracks pushes on underneath Flick of the Wrist and starts to push Flick of the wrist towards the arena wall. Mart is trying to get away from May Tracks, as the flipper fires the wheels get traction as Flick of the Wrist is fired from the flipper spinning mid-air, as it narrowly misses the fence. Frank is straight back in onto the attack, as Flick of the Wrist spins around and runs, but the road leads to nowhere as Mart is trapped between a wedge and a wall, as he puts on full power and launches towards May Tracks.
Flick of the Wrist hits into May Tracks and goes straight up and over the wedge, as Frank spins around to stop Mart attacking the rear end of May Tracks, the forks are down, as Flick of the Wrist is coming at May Tracks at full speed, Frank makes a quick dodge from Flick of the Wrist and comes back onto the counter-counter-counter attack, as Flick of the Wrist spins around to stop May Tracks from getting underneath and tries to dodge the slam, but fails to get away and for the 3rd time of the fight, May Tracks is underneath Flick of the wrist, as Mart€™s wheels spin trying to get grip to get away from May Tracks, but unlike before, Flick of the Wrist is starting out from a standstill, on a surface which doesn€™t give much grip, as the flipper fires sending Flick of the Wrist over the arena fence and crashing down onto the camera tracks.
Cease
Well that is that then, Flick of the Wrist is sent over the arena wall, as Mart fails to open up the weaknesses of May Tracks enough to successfully launch an attack, and so fails like so many others, as Frank manages to defend his title, and gets to keep a scaled down version of the plastic bottle.
