Clawdius Decimus Murderous: A very sleek and skirted wedge equipped with a powerful and sharp crushing claw.
SUNCUST: A skirted invertible box, with some nasty vertical grabbing jaws at the front.
The Windmill: A weird looking invertible body, with skirts around all 4 wheels and a nasty horizontal bar mounted at the front.

The Windmill is the quickest bot today€™s fight has to offer, and at 18 mph the Dutch spinner rushes into battle, the bar still spinning up. Also coming in is SUNCUST, and much to everyone€™s surprise, when The Windmill and SUNCUST meet each other, they don€™t seem to have a go at each other, no, they seem to be aiming for Clawdius! Enter Steve, although the Scottish Boy Wonder has the slowest vapour today, he hasn€™t got the slowest mind when it comes to robotic combat. When he sees his two opponents coming in, he shows off with some agile dodging before ramming his low wedge underneath The Windmill€™s side, who can€™t escape when the mighty claw comes down. Tony sees this happening and immediately decides for some action. While Clawdius is still crushing down, SUNCUST rams into its front-corner, which lacks skirts, and grabs the Scottish machine between its own crushers. It€™s a weird sight when The Windmill gets crushed by Clawdius, who in turn gets crushed by SUNCUST, who is currently on top of the food chain. Tony utilises this position and accelerates his machine forwards, effectively slamming both his opponents into the wall! When both crushers loosen their grip, a gaping hole can be seen on top of The Windmill€™s body! Seemingly damaged quite badly, Alex does a quick check-up€¦ Blade is spinning? Check. Machine is still driving? Check! Relieved Alex drives his machine away from danger, and so do Steve and Tony. With SUNCUST still driving away, it€™s The Windmill who makes a U-turn and comes in for revenge on Clawdius, which is trying to do the dodgy-thing again. This time however, Clawdius€™ questionable manoeuvrability lets Steve down, and the PTT-writer (well€¦ until recently :proud:) has to deal with a Dutch spinning bar slamming into its side! With a nasty dent in his side and the particular side-skirt looking a bit wobbly now, Steve is surprised to suddenly here a loud siren. The surprise turns into fear though, when Steve sees the arena pit descending! Tony decided it was time to open it and now joins the fray again. Steve drives backward to avoid another rendezvous with his 2 rivals, who give chase instantly. Steve doesn€™t want to give his prosecutors an easy victory though, and he turns his crusher around to meet the machine right behind him, which happens to be the fast Windmill, and unleash an attack. Alex manages to dodge this onslaught though, saving himself, but rendering SUNCUST vulnerable in the process. Steve doesn€™t lose speed and drives straight into and underneath the front of SUNCUST, before his mighty crusher comes down. Still at maximum velocity, Clawdius chances direction with SUNCUST in its clutches, and with The Windmill giving chase. The Windmill€™s rescue attempt seems to be in vain though, when Clawdius happens to reach the edge of the open pit, and relentlessly opens his giant beak. When The Windmill comes in from behind, SUNCUST is freed from Clawdius€™ hold, and stuck in the open pit.

GeForce 4.0 vs Kali vs Panicking
GeForce 4.0: A sleek, sloped and skirted wedge, with a good amount of traction and, most important, a seriously powerful rear hinged flipper.
Kali: A six-wheeled box, much like Storm 2 actually, with lotsa traction, speed and a Biohazard style flipper, much like Storm 2 really (except this one is pnuematic ;)).
Panicking: Yet another six-wheeled invertible box with good traction, only this one is equipped with a pair of skirts and a nice pair of lifting forks.

Our two box-shaped robots have a rather quick start and already enter the arena-centre while Andy€™s still looking where he left his controller. A reckless Kali collides head-on with Panicking in his first assault. The angle of collision isn€™t exactly in Alex€™ favour though, and Martyn€™s machine slides off the front of Kali before Alex can get any advantage of his position. In the meanwhile, Andy managed to locate his might controller again the relatively slow GeForce comes in to join the fray. Andy goes straight for Kali, who just saw his own attack fail, and rams his wedge underneath the rambot€™s back. Well underneath his opponent, Andy sees it€™s time to show what his vapourbot is capable of and fires his mighty flipper! The results are impressive and Alex€™ creation is flung into the air! The recently recovered Panicking is out for vengeance and sets course towards the spot where Kali€™s gonna land. When said thing happens, Alex finds his machine on it€™s back and under attack by Panicking. A mighty crash is heard when Martyn€™s rambot comes smashing into and underneath Kali€™s side. To gain better control over its opponent, Panicking€™s forks are raised and Kali is lifted. At this moment, Alex decides it€™s time to activate his own flipping weapon. Escaping CO2 is heard and the silver box called Kali turns 180 degrees through the air before landing on its six wheels again. Panicking is on a warpath though and sets course for GeForce, closely followed by Kali who can€™t stay behind. Panicking and GeForce show some driving-skills by impressively manoeuvring around each other, both wanting to drive their weapons straight underneath each other. It€™s Panicking who comes out the fray as the least fortunate, when Kali comes driving in from the fork-armed vapour is rammed straight on top of Andy€™s wedge, and now finds itself stuck on two vapours! A smile appears on the faces of both Andy and Alex when they fire their flippers simultaneously. If you thought the previous flip of GeForce was impressive, you should definitely see this! Panicking is flipped meters into the air, moving straight up since the force in forward direction produced by GeForce€™s flipper gets undone by Kali€™s, and vice versa [/physics]. Andy doesn€™t have the patience to wait for Pannicking to come down though, and with one vicious sweep at the control-button GeForce moves forwards, towards Kali who€™s still standing in front of him. Alex is unable to dodge an attack from this close and can do nothing when Andy€™s brutal flipper wedges the Stormish vapour. With Panicking falling on the ground right behind him, Andy shoves Kali towards the nearest arena-wall, Kali finding itself unable to do anything about it! The wedge-bot fires its flipper, and Kali flies into the air, straight over the wall!

I had a horrible fealing i would be facing CDM if i made it through to the second round. Panicking has met CDM before but i have improved my robot since then, CDM hasnt been improved. Time for tactics. I will go side on to CDM and try and push it into arena hazards and into the pit.

2) CLAWDIUS DECIMUS MURDEROUS VS Panicking
Marty has the better speed, but he also has the poorer control as a result. Keep to the sides wherever possible and slip under the skirts (a bit easier, seeing as theyre hinged). Clamp onto the shell (or get the claw in one of the wheel housings if Im lucky) and drag it round to as many obstacles as I can find before pitting.

Unsurprising tactics for me, just slide under wherever possible and use my extra power to drive it to the wall and fire it out. It would be nice to stay away from the spinner but I think my armour can take it anyway.

GeForce 4.0 vs The Windmill

The battle kicks off, and Alex starts with€¦ driving his machine backwards? That€™s right, The Windmill reverses to buy his spinning bar some time to spin up to its impressive 3000 rpm. GeForce responds by going straight forward towards his nemesis, who is still spinning up and wisely dodges GeForce initial assault by steering away. Now The Windmill is on the attacking end and drives straight to one side of GeForce! The flipper can€™t seem to dodge this attack and the potent blade mounted on The Windmill crashes into the monocoque Hardox! Andy€™s sloped wedge seems to be able to deal with this though, and apart from a very ugly dent, and what seems to be some very nasty clobbering, GeForce seems to be able to fight another day. Correction: he seems to be able to fight this very day! Andy, out for a vengeance, turns GeForce around and aims for The Windmill€™s side now. The Dutch spinner shows some skilful steering again, and so does Andy now! A lot of dodges and dances around each other follow each other up, until this beautiful dance of vapours is interrupted by a loud clang, a sound of a metal spinning bar hitting a big Hardox flipper! The Windmill drew blood again, but Andy responds quickly and fires his flipper. Alex cannot avoid being tosses into the air, and when the flipper goes up, his machine is send flying! With a giant crash, the orange robot hits the ground, and finds GeForce close at its tail already! In an overwhelming performance, GeForce is capable of wedging The Windmill for a second time in a row! Giving his opponent no time to breathe, the flipper is fired again, and The Windmill is catching another ride through the air! This time, however, the invertible robot is thrown anxiously close to the arena wall, and Alex looks on in awe as his creation is thrown towards the borders of the arena. The good news: The Windmill does safely land, within the save borders of the arena-floor. The bad news: GeForce has turned on the aggressive, again. Overwhelmingly Andy€™s flipper rams into the still shaken Windmill, and fires its flipper, for the third time in a row. This time however, will be the last time it flips, since this particular flip happens to be the one that sends The Windmill flying into the air, and over the arena wall.

Clawdius Decimus Murderous vs Panicking

Green light is given, and Clawdius steadily moves away from its starting square. At the other side of the arena, Panicking shows the spectators what true speed is and faces Steve€™s crusher before he can say Clawdius Decimus Murderous. Afraid of that mighty beak facing him, Panicking turns around Clawdius at high velocity. The crusher shows some fancy skid steering now to keep the fast rambot away from its side and/or back, and does a very good job at this. Clawdius can€™t keep turning forever though, and Steve€™s crushing machine goes in reverse, only to be chased by Panicking. Right before Panicking is about to reach Clawdius€™ body, Steve makes a lovely turn again, and this time he does reach Panicking€™s side! The sharp wedge scrapes its way underneath the box€™ hinged skirts, and with Panicking€™s wheels seemingly off the ground, Clawdius€™ giant claw begins to descend! Pop goes Panicking, as the diamond-tipped beak pierces straight through the polycarbonate top of Panicking. Martyn looks on in total awe, but doesn€™t give up just yet. In a desperate attempt to free himself from Clawdius€™ clutches, he tries every button his controller has to offer. Suddenly, Clawdius starts spinning around as if it was a turn mill. The crowd goes wild because of this flashing action by the Scottish crusher, but the driver of it, Steve McGregor, looks rather puzzled. Heck, the spinning isn€™t caused by the quick hands of the Scotsman, but by Panicking, who seemingly DOES have one wheel in contact with the ground after all. Not happy being out of control, Steve retreats his beak, making the famous Razer-move in the process, by lifting Panicking into the air. Steve reverses towards the arena wall, but the sudden acceleration seems a little too much for his grip on his opponent, and Panicking falls down. Free once more, Panicking sets direction€¦ in a straight line towards the pit release button! The slower crusher gives chase to the quick invertible box, which just made the pit descend. With Clawdius still chasin€™, Panicking is already on its way back to give his opponent a good clobberin€™. The robots now both engage in a dance of dodging and circling, since none of them want to become the others€™ victim. In the end, the two machines face each other head-on. When both machines accelerate, Clawdius€™ sharp wedge-extender meets Panicking€™s lifting forks! The wedge-extender is called wedge-extender for a reason, and wins the struggle, sliding underneath the lifting forks like a knife through butter. Talking €˜bout a knife through butter, when Panicking is fully wedged by Clawdius, the mighty claw starts descending€¦ again :proud:. Another big hole is created on top of the box, and this time, there seems to be no escaping for Panicking! All six wheels are spinning rapidly, but to no avail, as they€™re all spinning in the air. Steve decides not to waste any time this time, and turns straight towards the lowered pit. Firmly in Clawdius€™ clutches, Martyn can do nothing when he is taken to the open pit. Arrived, Clawdius raises his beak, and Panicking is moving freely again. Moving into the pit, that is.

Tricky battle ahead, methinks, but why change winning tactics? Stick to GeForces sides as often as I can and try to get the front flat spikes to slip underneath the skirts. Grapple on and dont let go until Ive scooted over to the Pit and have the former Aaron machine dangling over it. :wink:

Well this should be interesting... in order to get a grip on me, CDM needs to get under the skirts and then get a purchace on my sloped sides. Oh, and did I point out they are Hardox? :proud:

Clawdius Decimus Murderous vs GeForce 4.0

And hereby we see the kick off of what might be one of the biggest battles so far in this tournament. This vapourbot-equivalent of Gravity vs Razer starts off with GeForge charging towards the arena centre, only to meet head-to-head with Clawdius mere seconds later. It€™s a painful collision when the two robots ram each other€™s corner, but with both wedges having a good amount of wedge-protection (namely skirts), none of the two machines seems to be able to create any kind of advantage, and they back off again. However, the two wedges also have their anti-skirt measures, as the powerful GeForce ever so kindly demonstrates when he drives around the side of Clawdius and rams his LEM-powered front underneath Clawdius€™ side. Steve tries to drive off the wedge before GeForce can get underneath even further, but finds his attempt in vain when GeForce fires that ferocious flipper! Clawdius is hurled several feet into the air before crashing onto the ground, and on its back. Steve immediately fires his self-righting arms before the rushing GeForge can get another flip in, and finds itself back onto his wheels right before Andy€™s flipper comes in for a second attack. As a response, Clawdius swiftly rushes backwards, not only to avoid Andy€™s wrath, but also mainly to ram his machine into that big green pit release button! With the siren shouting throughout the arena, GeForge is still giving chase to Clawdius. The latter now decides it€™s his turn to show off his anti-skirting skills. After dodging GeForge€™s initial onslaught Clawdius manoeuvres its way towards the side of GeForge and scrapes its carefully designed spears underneath it. With a diabolical grin on his face Steve now lowers his lethal claw. The result however, gives Andy a big grin on his face! Clawdius is merely creating a scratch on the sloped, Hardox armour of GeForge, and as if that wasn€™t enough, the claw is slipping off the armour altogether! That is, until it reaches the titanium skirt, which starts to crumble under Clawdius€™ force, until it snaps in two, nullifying Clawdius grip on GeForge altogether! GeForge darts away again fresh and clean, ignoring that ugly scratch and broken skirt of course. GeForge is taking the initiative again and turns around for another assault. Clawdius bravely searches the confrontation too, resulting in a head-on collision! Upon colliding, GeForges torque proves deciding when his front-blade finds his way underneath Clawdius€™ front-spears. Again, before Steve can react, the flipper is fired. Clawdius moves up again and this time actually makes a 360-degree somersault in mid-air! The audience goes wild, but Andy doesn€™t seem to like it when Clawdius lands on its 4 wheels. Steve wants to make most of the situation and swerves towards his nemesis. After a brief waltz between the two machines, Clawdius actually does manage to reach the damaged side skirt of GeForge, and literally spears it with ease, wedging GeForge completely! Down comes the claw, once again only leaving a mere dent, but it doesn€™t really matter this time since GeForge is fully wedged this time therefor making the claw€™s grip a lot better. Steve wastes no time and turns towards the pit before it€™s too late! Andy desperately, fires his powrfull flipper, making Steve€™s claw move up a bit. It doesn€™t seem to matter though, since the to struggling vapourbots find themselves at the edge of the pit already! Andy is still desperately using his flipper as a last resort, while all Steve does is a little nudge forwards. The flippin€™ machine slides off the wedge of Clawdius, and finds himself tumbling into the abyss.

Oh would you look at that. Psyclonised AND Slammer? Either ill be torn to shreds or flipped OOTA...
Err...just hang around one area, since I dont have much control, I dont want to move much. If theyre going to leave em alone and just fight between theirselves that is...yeah right.
Wedge setup here, just flip them as much as possible really, try to prop them up against the sides, avoiding getting damaged myself, the wedge is pretty sturdy, so go for whichever is slower.

Cyberdemon vs Psyclonised vs Slammer V
Cyberdemon: This Turtle Road Kill-shaped robot equipped with many, many sharp claws and a dangerous Y-Drive. This, in combination with a 35 mph top speed, makes for a highly destructive, but also rather reckless robot.
Psyclonised: Yet another full body spinner, with some clear differences from Cyberdemon though. This time, only an outer ring spins, and it happens to be shaped like Son of Whyachi€™s infamous spinning cage. Also, the machine is invertible ;).
Slammer V: It€™s Alex€™ infamous self-flipping axlebot with interchangeable weaponry :proud: Today Slammer V is equipped with a front wedge, kinda turning Slammer V in a WBC look-a-like, well, without the overkill that is :proud:

And we€™re off! The first robot to make its move is Cyberdemon, who€™s 3 motors start spinning around its 3 wheels that, in turn, start spinning around that dangerous body. Elsewhere, both Slammer and Psyclonised start spinning their engines too. Whereas Psyclonised does this in reverse, buying himself time for his spinning ring to get up to speed, Slammer goes driving headlong towards the centre of the arena, preparing his assault on the slowest of his two opponents, Psyclonised. Andy then shows he isn€™t in the arena to avoid any confrontations and with a fully spun up vapourbot he now starts driving towards Slammer as well. Now it€™s time for Alex to show some tactical skills, and when Psycloned€™s mighty hammers get near the wedge, just a little bit of acceleration is enough for Slammer reach the bottom of the spinning cage and activate the bottom flipping plate€¦ CLANG! And while the noise is as big as you might expect when a powerful flipper hits a powerful spinner, the result is not. What the audience sees is Slammer standing upright, with its wedge stuck between the stalled outer cage of Psyclonised, who€™s pretty much standing upright as well, its wheels spinning in the air. Slammer tries to struggle himself out of its harsh position, but doesn€™t expect to receive any help from CYBERDEMON while doing this! :proud: In comes Anthony€™s vicious spinning device, and with a loud bang, out goes Alex stranded flipping device! :proud: Slammer and Psyclonised are, quite literally, slammed away from each other, and moving freely again, the crowd now clearly sees what damage the interchangeable machine sustained. The front frame seems to be bend quite a bit, and some nasty dents are craved in its back. No vital parts are damaged though, it seems. In the meantime, Cyberdemon now stands in front of Psyclonised, who€™s trying to spin up its not-so-stalled-anymore outer ring. Anthony doesn€™t want to wait for this to happen though, and drives towards Psyclonised. Andy does a brave effort in dodging this attack, but can€™t help his cage being hit by one of Cyberdemon€™s claws. Slammer is out on revenge on Cyberdemon, and when he drives into the fray, Cyberdemon€™s flaw starts playing him false. Anthony can€™t dodge the incoming and well-controlled axlebot owned by Alex, who takes a hit, fires its flipper, and€¦ CLANG! Again, a nasty sound is heard, and a rare sight is seen. While Cyberdemon is now standing against the arena-wall, we also see how Slammer€™s bottom (now top) flipping plate just broke off! After its initial collision with Psyclonised, Slammer€™s plate has been damaged so badly that lifting the combined weight of both Slammer and Cyberdemon was enough to break it. Cyberdemon now starts self-righting, but not before Psyclonised has joined the fray again, dealing a direct hit to both Slammer AND Cyberdemon. Right now, all three bots are back on their wheels again, in the mood for a nice bashing. However, time starts running out! 10€¦ 9€¦ 8€¦ Slammer comes in for another flip 7€¦ 6€¦ 5€¦ Cyberdemon carefully backs off 4€¦ 3€¦ 2€¦ 1€¦

Axe-O-Lotl vs Malaria vs Wind Chaser
Axe-O-Lotl: Shaped like Comengetorix, driven like Storm 2, weaponed like Dominator II, Axe-O-Lotl seems like a combination of some successful concepts seen in Robotwars, but how will its armour do against the successful concept seen in today€™s fanfics?
Malaria: Take Biohazard, change that huge lifter for a smaller, scoop-shaped front-lifter, and put two, yes two nitrogen powered hammers next to each other on top of it. A rather unique design I€™d say.
Wind Chaser: Here we see a 6WD invertible wedge. Combined with a LEM-powered drive AND a LEM-powered flipping arm, this could make one serious rammer. It€™s a pity though that the weapon becomes useless once this machine is flipped.

How about that? With all three machines in today€™s melee having a 20+ mph top speed, how can you not expect the flying start we see in front of us? The fast Wind Chaser flies across the arena in search for his first prey to catch. Our two axebots however, whose weapons require a lot more precision to be used effectively, mind you, take a more careful approach. Axe-O-Lotl drives head-first towards the dawdling Malaria, but there comes Wind Chaser! Martyn€™s rambot has no trouble at all getting past Axe-O-Lotl€™s 2 mm ground clearance and effectively activates its flipper! Axe-O-Lotl is overturned and upside down, but far from beaten. While Chris activates his axe, it€™s Malaria who comes in, seeking to draw its first blood. With its very low front the skirted machines sneaks underneath Wind Chaser€™s back. With a big noise one of the two hammers comes down on top of Martyn€™s Hardox armour. The hammer is raised again, but before Martyn knows what€™s coming we seen how the other one is on its way down. Discovering the pattern in Alex€™ assaults, Martyn knows it€™s time to get the hell out of Malaria€™s clutches, and with a big burst of acceleration, the dented machine moves forwards and into safety. In the meanwhile, the self-righted Axe-O-Lotl has been observing the seen and now he feels it€™s time for a second attack on Malaria, after the first one failed due to interference of Wind Chaser. Alex sees this and backs off. Chris in turn sees THIS and quickly fires his axe at the escaping Malaria€¦ CLANG! The axe JUST missed Malaria and hits my precious arena floor, leaving a very ugly scar on impact. Chris pulls back his axe, when Malaria tactically drives into position for a nice attack on its fellow axebot. In the background though, we see how Wind Chaser charges in again. It probably came to like Axe-O-Lotl€™s ground clearance and wants more of it. Chris however, learnt from his previous struggle with Martyn€™s machines and manages to dodge this attack by driving backwards, only to be followed by Malaria again. Malaria and Axe-O-Lotl now stand face to face, and with both roboteers realising they might not get a shot as clear as this one anytime soon, all three axes are fired! Malaria€™s diamond-tipped hammers poured into Axe-O-Lotl€™s top, while the long diamond-tipped spike at the end of Axe-O-Lotl€™s pole found its way through Malaria€™s armour. The two machines are at a deadlock now, right in time for Wind Chaser to come in yet again :proud:. This time, Martyn€™s manoeuvres its way BETWEEN his two opponents, underneath the point where the axes hang over, and fires his flipper. The impact frees the two axebots from each other€™s clutches, but that€™s not exactly what Wind Chaser came for. With some quick turning Martyn manages to get his machine underneath the bot who happens to be closest to the arena wall, Malaria! Malaria is helplessly slammed against that wall, where Martyn relentlessly fires his LEM-powered flipping arm! Alex looks on in awe, when the flipping arm, combined with the sheer force of Wind Chaser€™s drive, proves to be enough to lever his robot against the arena wall, and eventually, over it!

Hm...when Axeolotl can hit me, even Cyberdemons crappy control should be enough to be able to do as much as clip it, doing some damage. Basically let him come to me, and try to ram him before he can get a chance to fire. If he starts playing chicken, go into semi-agressive mode and try to get to the vunrable areas.

Always stay on the offensive, Psyclonised doesnt take long at all to get spinning at full speed again. If I do some hit and run tactics it will ensure I get some heavy blows in each time. Hopefully it shouldnt take long to shake it to death...

Axe-O-Lotl vs Cyberdemon

Axe-O-Lotl immediately drives away from his starting position, because Chris is looking for a quick and clean assault on Cyberdemon€™s shell. Tony is having none of this though, and starts driving his translational spinner out of the way. Within some seconds, Cyberdemon has got his shell up to full speed and Chris€™ dreams of an early attack seem to vanish in the haze. The dangerously but also rather uncontrollably driven Cyberdemon now finds itself several meters removed from his axing opponent and Tony cautiously plans what to do with Axe-O-Lotl, knowing that the slightest mistake can cause his machine to spin out of control, horribly. At the other side of the arena though, Chris takes even more caution, knowing his armour might be unable to stand up against all those vicious teeth. Chris clearly doesn€™t want to sacrifice his weapon just yet and turns Axe-O-Lotl€™s back towards Cyberdemon. Cyberdemon now slowly drives towards Axe-O-Lotl. Chris highly fears touching his opponent (with that I mean Cyberdemon, not Tony :proud:) and steers away from Cyberdemon. Cyberdemon gives chase, as well controlled as possible of course, but doesn€™t really manage to get a good shot in. Chris decides it€™s time to spice things up a bit, and turns his machine around, making his axe point in Cyberdemon€™s direction. Cyberdemon immediately backs off, but Chris seemingly had no intentions in firing his axe at all, at that lethal body of Cyberdemon. Basically, with the status quo still unchanged, Cyberdemon and Axe-O-Lotl are driving circles around each other, exploring the enemy€¦ This clearly isn€™t what the crowd wants, as the entire audience starts booing at today€™s competitors. As a direct result, Chris decides to drive away from Cyberdemon€¦ Tony wonders what Chris is up to, but not for long as Chris rams his box into the pit release button! The pit descends, and Axe-O-Lotl comes in again. Cyberdemon comes in too, but dodges away a bit when Tony discovers that Axe-O-Lotl DOES fire his axe this time. The axe JUST nudges Cyberdemon€™s shell, ticking Cyberdemon out of his direction a bit, and INTO the direction of Axe-O-Lotl! In fact, Cyberdemon nudges his opponent€™s aluminium right-handed side plate€¦ CRASH! The aluminium doesn€™t stand up against the destructive force of Cyberdemon, and the entire side plate comes off! Chris tries moving away, but only his two left-handed wheels are moving now! Cyberdemon keeps a safe distance from Axe-O-Lotl now, and sees what€™s gonna happen next. Axe-O-Lotl moving in circles, the judges start counting€¦ 1€¦ 2€¦ 3€¦ 4€¦ 5€¦ 6€¦ 7€¦ 8€¦ 9€¦ 10€¦

Psyclonised vs Wind Chaser

No time to waste, Wind Chaser moves forwards using its 6WD-drive system. Psyclonised moves backwards a bit to get that nasty ring up to full speed. When Wind Chaser finally moves near Psyclonised, its ring already has build enough kinetic energy to hammer it backwards! With his opponent slammed backwards, Psyclonised takes over the initiative and drives into Wind Chaser€™s wedge. Martyn isn€™t a coward though and goes for a good box rush on his spinning opponent. Taking a blow or two, Martyn rams his wedge underneath Psyclonised belly! Psyclonised flies over Wind Chaser and comes down behind it before Martyn can take any advantage of the situation. Psyclonised now finds itself at the back of Wind Chaser and Andy rams his spinning cage against the Hardox armour he finds there! Martyn is pushed aside and under fire of Andy€™s devastating blows. Martyn quickly accelerates his machine forwards and in mere seconds he drives away from his significantly slower opponent, but not without damage. Wind Chaser€™s front has some nasty dents in it, but not as much as the literally hammered back now has! Psyclonised stays on the aggressive and drives in a straight line towards the arena-wall Wind Chaser is heading to. Wind Chaser isn€™t just there to do some sightseeing though, he€™s there to ram that bright and shiny pit release button! The siren is heard and Wind Chaser turns around, charging in for another ram. Andy quickly steers away a bit and with a well-timed manoeuvre his cage hits Wind Chaser€™s front-side! On impact, Wind Chaser flies straight back into the pit release button, and much to the audience€™s pleasure, the siren is heard again:proud:! Martyn never seems to give up his attempts to safely ram Psyclonised, nor does Andy give up his ever so dangerous blows. Wind Chaser comes steaming in again, as does Psyclonised. The two machines almost ram each other again, but Martyn swiftly activates his flipper! CLANG! We heard this sound before, when Slammer tried to flip Psyclonised while being underneath its cage. This time however, the result is slightly different. The cage has so bloody much kinetic energy stored in it that the interference of Wind Chaser€™s flipping arm doesn€™t stop it. Instead, when before mentioned cage meets the arm, the arm bends quite a bit, and the cage flies straight over it! In fact the ring-spinner is now doing a Mauler-style dance. Martyn seizes his chance, retracts his bend flipping arm as far as physically possible (since it can€™t retract fully given the fact it€™s bend), and box-rushes Psyclonised, but the dancing machine again flies over the wedge instead of staying on it, and again ends up on its 4 wheels behind Martyn€™s rambot. Our two vapourboteers have been in this position before and Andy gradually spins up his ring up to feel speed again, while Martyn tries to get away from there ASAP. Fully spun up, Psyclonised manages to give the accelerating machine a good blow against its back! Wind Chaser still drives away, but now slowly decelerates! That last hit against its back seemingly hammered something inside Wind Chaser out of position! In fact, Wind Chaser isn€™t moving at all at the moment, as observed by the judges, who start counting€¦ 1€¦ 2€¦ 3€¦ 4€¦ 5€¦ 6€¦ 7€¦ 8€¦ 9€¦ 10€¦

As you might have noticed, there hasnt been a battle for some time now.
Because Im in the final year of secondary school, Ive had my exams during the second halve of May. I still had some gaps within my exams, so I didnt really feel like delaying the tournament. In the end, I couldnt put these gaps in good use. I thought that once my exams were over, Id have enough time to continue this tournament, BUT, because Ill be going to a university prety far from here, Im gonna need a room, and for that, Ill have to SEARCH a room, and THAT, ladies and gentlemen, takes a shitload of time -_-
so there you guy, Ill be very busy the next two months or so... so you all have to wait a bit longer to see wholl win out of...

3... 2... 1... Activate!
We can see two full-body spinners eager to win this heat and ensure themselves a place in the semi-finals spinning up their mighty weapons. Its the fast Cyberdemon that leaves his starting position with great pace and starts exploring the arena. Psyclonised is no wussy either and he begins he arena-tour as well, looking for a good hit. The well-controlled robot aims for his nemesis and attampts to nudge it... CRASH! Both bots unnleash the kinetic energy stored in them and both can be seen flying backwards! Andy manages to regain the control over his robot fairly quickly. Tony on the other hand sees his machine flying quite a distance, and once it lands, he cant really seem to control the Y-drive system he smartly build into his mighty machine. Andy smells an oppurtunity and pays another visit to Cyberdemon... CRASH! Flying robots everywhere! And this time, pretty much unlike last time, some serious damage can be seen, especially on the momentarily stalled Cyberdemon, who has some nasty dents on his surface. Psyclonised tries to keep on the agressive, but Tony learned from past mistakes and drives out of the frontline ASAP. Andy crashes into the wall, and is swept away on impact. And, lucky Andy, he flies into the direction of Cyberdemon! Tony is on the run again, but this time, his poorly controlled machine cant avoid an incoming Psyclonised... CRASH! And holy mozes, Psyclonised rammed Cyberdemon so hard, he hardly receives any feedback! Andys giving it all and comes in again... CRASH! Cyberdemon simply hasnt go the time, nor the control, to do anything against the annihilation he currently goes through. Two claws can be seen falling off his spinning shell. Andy reverses, for one final onslaught perhaps...? Or to see the damage he has done. Smoke is coming out of Cyberdemon now, and his shell is battered, and no movement can be seen. Andy decides to forget about that Onslaught he planned and backs off, waiting what the judges will say...

Okay, Cacodemon is made to be one low mutha, and have those little teeth to carry his opponents around. What I plan to do is get to Achillis side when its distracted and take it out. Get the tougher opponent out of the way =D

Achilles vs Cacodemon vs Orka MK4
Achilles: Here we have one of the most successful vapourbots of recent history. Achilles is a relatively simple box, but has several other tricks up his sleeve. How about that flipper, that grabbing claw and those Eteks powering it?
Cacodemon: A very unique invertible ramming box, due to the fact that it is so bloody low. The low front wedge has some static claws on top to get hold of the opponent, and those side skirt are huge, though they still leave some clearance. It doesn€™t really like being inverted though.
Orka MK4: Orka has many similarities with Achilles really. It too has a scoop-like flipper and a claw on it. Orka is inpsired by Behemoth though, and seems to have slightly better control due to its 15 mph top speed.
3€¦ 2€¦ 1€¦ Activate!
It€™s pretty darn clear MacWilliams (yeah, 2 Alex€™) knows what he wants in this fight. He heads for Achilles, and with a great pace too. Holt responds accordingly. When the two robots meet, it is Cacodemon who rams diagonally into the side of Achilles, who couldn€™t turn fast enough.
CLASH!
Almost completely ignoring the side skirts, Cocademon slams Achille against the wall, and onto its wedge. Chris sees it happen and Orka is driving towards the locked Achilles, parallel to the arena wall. The scoop easily surpasses Achilles€™ tilted front, and one flick of the button turns the reigning PTT champ onto its back! Cacodemon reacts, immediately, but so does Achilles himself. When Cacodemon comes near the stranded Achilles€™ back, Holt fires his flipper, effectively turning Achilles back onto his wheels, but also on the roof of Cacodemon who was right behind him! Achilles€™ wheels spin, getting some grip on the relatively flat surface he€™s on, and drives off Cacodemon who was about to drive Achilles somewhere nasty. Back to Earth, Achilles wants to back away but is met by the next hazard on its course. Holt proves to be a worthy PTT-champion though when Achilles outmaneuvers Orka and scrapes his flipper underneath Orka€™s right-front corner. Holt gets his revenge on Chris who flipped him earlier and throws Orka into the air. Achilles heads off for some fresh air, when Orka activates his srimech, and Cacodemon decided to go on the offense once again. Achilles turns around to face his foe, and actually drives towards it. the two machines meet head-on at full power, and the two wedges bump against each other and get thrown back upon impact! We can now see Achilles on the left, Cacodemon on the right, and€¦ Orka heading for Cacodemon€™s side! Chris avoids the confrontation with Achilles this time, and rams his bucket underneath Cacodemon€™s side. Chris lowers his claw and MacWilliams finds a 100 kg box stuck to his side. Achilles now finds itself in a clear advantage, and joins Orka at Cacodemon€™s side, who can€™t really maneuver all that well at the moment. Achilles too has a claw up its sleeve, and knows who to use it too. Chris and Holt are looking to each other from their control boots, and share a little wink. Cacodemon tries to drive away, but can€™t do all that much now it has 200 kg stuck to its side! Both Holt and Chris activate their flipper, and Cacodemon is triumphantly held in the air by Orka and Achilles. The crowd goes wild while Orka and Achilles, shoulder to shoulder, carry Cacodemon towards the arena wall. Chris and Holt loosen their respective grip and€¦ well, take a guess :proud:

13Black vs Killotine: EVO vs Rammy mk 3
13Black: One of the few realies to be found in this tournament, and a fairly impressive one on that. It has two destructive horizontal spinning discs, but doesn€™t like to be inverted
Killotine: EVO: Killerhurtz meets Storm 2. Yes people, this robot has the same drive motors and front wedge as world€™s most famous rambot, and a highly powerful axe to go with that, ain€™t that nice :proud:
Rammy mk 3: This robot started out as a fantasy robot designed for the ever-so-famous competition called Fantasy Robotwars :proud:. It made the jump to the vapourbot-reality though, and is an effective invertible 6WD rambot with a nice hinged wedge at the front.

13Black spins up, Killotine steadily drives forwards, and so does Rammy. Yup, nothing spectacular happens at the start of this battle. Killotine dances around a bit, and 13Black, in turn, dances around him. Rammy however, already set its sights on the pit release button! He nudges it, he activates it, and the siren goes wild! So does 13Black right now, who crashes his disc into Rammy€™s side! Sparks fly, and Rammy€™s side flank and skirts are battered a bit. However, most of the impact goes to the 2WD 13Black who is blown back a bit. Rammy€™s 6 wheels slowly turn around, only to see Killotine join the fray. Steve lowers his axe, and rams it through Rammy€™s wheelhouse! The axe goes up for a second blow, but Rammy drives away in time. Martyn looks on in awe when he sees his machine loses a bit of tire! The axe-blow seems to have hit the wheel in an effective way. Martyn shows he still has enough traction left, and he rams 13Black frontally now. The disc stalls, but Chris skid-steers his machine around and slams his second disc into Rammy€™s side, the same side that happened to be damaged earlier on. Rammy doesn€™t back off though, and continues to push 13Black€¦ to the pit! Killotine joins the two again, and diagonally rams his front wedge underneath Rammy€™s damaged skirt. He uses the axe again, which sweeps OVER Rammy, and on top of 13Black who€™s laying on Rammy€™s wedge, on top of the disc to be precisely. The three robots are joined in one big hug right now, a hug that ends when Steve raises his axe again. Chris tries to spin up his damaged disc, but it doesn€™t seem to work. In the meantime, Killotine still happens to have Rammy on his wedge, and a little bit of precise turning allows him to deliver an axe-blow right on top of Rammy! Rammy is dented, and well in Killotine€™s clutches, but not pierced. Steve wants to make short work of his opponent, but he can€™t seem to get a good aim to the pit with that struggling rambot under his thumb. 13Black interferes again and slams one of his discs (the spinning one :proud:) against Rammy€¦
CRASH!
Martyn€™s eagerly looking whether or not the impact moved his rambot€¦ And it€™s moved alright, further into Killotine€™s hold! The axe now strikes through another one of Rammy€™s wheelhouses, and Steve happily makes use of that. He carries Rammy a meter or two across the arena, and above the open pit! Stevo loosens his firm grip, and sees how Rammy falls into that gaping hole.
