NSBFL 7
Welcome to the start of heat€¦ *Looks at a piece of paper* D! We€™ve got a real NSBFL veteran fighting today, but the three newbies are just as dangerous, so who knows what could happen?
The seventh seed is Dave Weston€™s Hell Machine. Not only is it a past champ, and official champion of champions, it€™s also the only machine to appear in every series. The basic shape is unchanged, but the axe is more vicious than ever, the drive has been upgraded and the armour€™s a little tougher to boot, so watch out all. Last time around it knocked out Battle Raptor 3, before losing to Dervish for the second time.
Son of Ripper has been around before in series 5, and has changed a bit since. It€™s got tough hardox armour, and with its front flipper and rear horizontal spinner it€™s quite the all rounder. In series 5 it helped Wedge 1 knock out the Demonic Element, before losing to eventual champ Maximum Velocity.
NSA is only the third robot ever to use a guillotine, and Dave has added some ideas of his own. It€™s powered by nitrogen, giving it some serious kick, and the blades are interchangeable to boot. However the kick might be too serious leaving NSA hopping mad! For this fight, Dave will be using the flipping plate set-up.
Finally, Star 69. This star shaped FBS could give invincibility to Italian plumbers, but serious GBH to anyone else! With speeds of nearly 20 MPH and a heavy duty Magmotor for weapon power, a couple of blows from this and anyone will be seeing stars!
Battle 1
We head to the Classic arena where Hell Machine will fight Star 69!
3€¦

ACTIVATE!!
Star 69 starts spinning up, but Hell Machine is able to travel across the arena and slam under before it gets to a high speed! Because of the odd shape, Star 69 is deflected rather than gotten under fully, so Hell Machines axe hits nothing and goes right into the floor! Star 69 trundles off at high speed to spin up, but it looks like Hell Machine€™s having trouble getting the axe out of the floor!
Star 69 comes in to hit the back of Hell Machine, but gets deflected by the wedge! This in turn causes the axe to pop out of the floor, and Hell Machine spins to axe Star 69! Star 69 gets away, but hell Machine slams under between two of the points and rams Star 69 into Flipup€™s CPZ! Flipup isn€™t in a good position to attack, so Hell Machine axes Star 69 a couple of times and backs off! Flipup comes at Star 69 with the bucket scoop, but Star 69 just gets out of there much to the house robot€™s annoyance.
Hell Machien charges in to dump Star 69 back in the CPZ, but takes a hit on the side as Star 69 dodges! Ironically, Hell Machine is spun into the CPZ itself and overturned by the bucket! Hell Machine self rights instantly and heads out of the CPZ, but again missing star 69 with a charge! This time Star 69 goes on the offensive, and aims at Hell Machine€™s side! Hell Machine spins around and takes it on the scoop, before axing the top of Star 69, making a large hole!
Hell Machine pushes star 69 across the arena, and into the wall! Then before it can get away, Hell Machine turns slightly and pushes it along the wall and into Uncle Tomahawk€™s CPZ! The two machines axe Star 69 for a couple of seconds, but Star 69 manages to push the house robot out of the way and escapes! Hell Machine gives chase, but is outpaced! Star 69 comes in on Hell Machine€™s side and strikes, tearing a gash in the top layer of steel! Hell Machine is spun away from the blow, going around like a spinning top before finally being still!
In the meantime, Star 69 has retreated from the scene of the crime a little to spin up! Hell Machine charges in full-bloodedly, deflecting Star 69 away with the scoop! This time it€™s Star 69€™s turn to spin away from the impact, and Hell Machine slams under and once more shunts it into Uncle Tomahawk€™s CPZ! A couple of axe blows from both machines later, and Star 69 shoots out of the CPZ again despite Hell Machines efforts to crowd it in!
Martyn looks concerned though, as Star 69 isn€™t spinning up! Hell Machine catches up with the speedy star and shunts it straight into Flipup€™s bucket scoop, and Star 69 gets turned over! This doesn€™t faze Martyn, who takes Star 69 away from the area, but the spinner still doesn€™t seem to be working! Still trying to win though, he smashes Star 69 into Hell Machine€™s side, but Dave turns Hell Machine around and pushes Star 69 into the arena wall! Meanwhile a wailing siren is heard, meaning the pit is descending!
Hell Machine axes into star 69 a couple of times, and tries to push Star 69 into The Militant€™s CPZ, but Star 69 manages to slip away and starts to spin up again! Hell Machine charges Star 69, but Star 69 dodges and catches Hell Machine on the side, tearing an even bigger gash in the steel top layer! We can€™t see what, if any, damage has been done to the Titanium underneath, but that€™s gotta hurt! What must hurt more is that Star 69 isn€™t spinning again, and Hell Machine takes full advantage, trying to guide Star 69 into the pit!
Star 69 manages to get away from this though, and Hell Machine nearly drives into the pit itself! Star 69 in its hurry to get away crashes into the wall, and Hell Machine reverses under it with the lifter, trying to prop it against the wall! However this fails thanks to Star 69€™s shape, who flops back down and starts to spin up! Hell Machine charges in, but misses with the axe and for the second time impales the arena floor! Star 69 takes a run up and blasts Hell Machine in the side with its fully spun up body!
Hell Machine is spun away, but the axe head is snapped away by the impact and Dave is down one weapon! In reply, Hell Machine tries to get Star 69 into Bane€™s CPZ, but Star 69 spins away from the attack and hits Hell Machine€™s rear! Hell Machine reverses with the lifter and tries to wedge under Star 69 again, but Star 69 is spinning again and both machines are spun away! Star 69 can€™t seem to spin up again, so Hell Machine shunts it into Bane€™s CPZ!
The claws come down, but Bane is trying to grip Star 69 by one of the points and can€™t seem to get a grip! Star 69 finds it easy to spin away from Bane€™s grip, but is slammed into the arena wall by Hell Machine! Hell Machine reverses and turns around to try and prop Star 69 up again, but Star 69 just avoids this, causing Hell Machine to crash into the wall instead! Star 69, still not spinning, rams into Hell Machine€™s side causing a couple of dents with ramming force alone!
Hell Machine turns around with the wedge facing Star 69 and takes it along the wall and into The Militant€™s CPZ, and Star 69 is sent spinning away by a blow from the flywheel! Hell Machine goes in too far and receives another blow with the flywheel! Dave keeps Hell Machine going and props The Militant up again the wall for this, but Star 69 crashes into Hell Machine again, which also knocks The Militant down on top of the two machines! Fortunately this pile up doesn€™t need to be sorted out as CEASE is called! We€™re going for another judge€™s decision, folks!
Control: Both were well controlled, but Star 69 more so as it managed to evade a fair few attacks, and catch Hell Machine off guard. Hell Machine 2. Star 69: 3.
Damage: Both machines were examined for damage. Star 69 had one hole a few dents from Hell Machine€™s axe, plus a bigger dent on the side from The Militant€™s flywheel and not to mention the loose connection in the weapon which caused the spinner to stall every so often. Hell Machine€™s steel covering was pretty much slashed to pieces, but the Titanium under that was only scratched and dented a little. Of more note was the axe blade being torn off. Hell Machine: 2. Star 69: 3.
Aggression: Both machines were pretty aggressive. Hell Machine in customary fashion was charging in regardless and always shoving Star 69 around. Star 69 retreated once or twice to spin up, but was even attacking Hell Machine with the weapon out of commission. Hell Machine: 3. Star 69: 2.
The final score is€¦ Hell Machine: 7. Star 69: 8
Well, it was another close one, but it looks like it€™s becoming a really bad time to be a seed! Hell Machine crashes back to whence it came, and Star 69 is back in the charts!
Battle 2
We head to the Moat now, for a showdown between NSA and Son of Ripper 4.0!
3€¦
2€¦
1€¦..
ACTIVATE!!
The two charge, Son of Ripper going forwards, NSA going backwards to use the rear flipping plate! Neither seems to want to risk a head on collision, so both dodge to the side and miss each other! Son of Ripper tries a last second turn on the spot as they pass each other to hit with the rear spinner but this attack misses as NSA goes out of harm€™s reach!
Both machines turn and charge one another again! This time Son of Ripper evades and manages to get under NSA€™s side slightly, but not enough to do more than bounce NSA up a bit! NSA comes back down and gets away from another attempted flip, and Son of Ripper is left flipping thin air! Now NSA tries to get under Son of Ripper€™s side but Son of Ripper avoids this, and NSA bounces itself up!
Andy uses this to easily get under NSA€™s side and toss it over! NSA self rights away from a charge that would surely take it into the moat! NSA spins through the air as it self rights and lands back upside down again! The flipper fires again, once more propelling NSA back onto its erm€¦ Back. Andy does nothing with Son of Ripper, watching NSA€™s self wronging with a bemused expression.
NSA tosses itself again, this time landing on its front! Will it topple onto its wheels? Nope, NSA is once more on its back! A couple more flips are wasted as NSA tries to self right until it finally gets onto its wheels! The crowd goes wild, and Andy shows what an utter git he is as Son of Ripper just tosses NSA back over again! Dave sighs, and NSA begins the process of self righting again, but after the first impact, nitrogen gas starts leaking from NSA, and it€™s clear it€™s going nowhere! Finally deciding to end the fight, Son of Ripper pushes NSA into the moat and that€™s an end to it!
NSA must stand for €œNo Shock Absorption€Â. Son of Ripper tears into the heat final!
Join us next time for Star 69 vs Son of Ripper 4.0 in the Moat!

Nice fights, Frank! :)
Star 69 vs Son of Ripper 4.0
I dont think Star 69 is going to cause much damage to my armour here. My aim is to get the flipper under and flip Star 69 while it is spinning fast so it goes spinning out of control and has a good chance of shocking itself out. Then just push/flip it into the Moat while the spinning body is slow/stalled.
-
NSBFL 7
hmm, the moat may be bad for Star 69, if it can last the fight and do some damage though, i think it has a chance.
-
NSBFL 7
It€™s the final day of Heat D! In round 1, Star 69 surprisingly overcame Hell Machine in a judge€™s decision which let me tell you, was an absolute bugger to work out, while Son of Ripper 4.0 flipped NSA which killed itself trying to self right. Now they face each other in the Moat!

Son of Ripper charges in at Star 69, who avoids the charge while starting to spin up! The weapon looks fully fixed! Star 69 heads to the centre of the arena where it€™s safe and it looks fully spun up now! Rather than exercise caution, Son of Ripper charges the spinning Star 69 flipper first! The wedge is under briefly, but Star 69 connects, bouncing Star 69 away and spinning Son of Ripper across the arena! Undaunted, Son of Ripper charges in again, but Star 69 dodges and goes to hit Son of Ripper€™s side!
Son of Ripper also dodges and tries to get the flipper under again, but is again batted away by the spinning ring before it can get anywhere near the main body! By the time Andy has regained control of Son of Ripper, Star 69 has backed off a bit and is spun up again, and is now coming in fast! Son of Ripper hasn€™t got time to dodge and takes a shot in the side which again knocks Son of Ripper a couple of feet away! Son of Ripper reverses away from another attack, but then tries getting under again, and is again rewarded for the trouble by being knocked away!
Star 69 tries to avoid another charge, but is just caught by the flipper on one of the points, and bounced up a little by the impact! Son of Ripper isn€™t knocked away so much this time! Star 69 hurriedly gets away from Son of Ripper before Andy can start flipping and begins to spin up! Once the ring reaches an acceptable speed, Star 69 changes course and lunges for Son of Ripper, who once more just charges in with the flipper regardless! Yet again Son of Ripper is swatted away by the spinner, and while the front wedge hasn€™t suffered more than a few dents one of the plates has been torn off!
Andy doesn€™t seem to let that concern him though, and Star 69 avoids another charge by Son of Ripper before striking in the side, spinning Son of Ripper around a few times and almost knocking it into the moat! Son of Ripper soon gets out of there, but Star 69 intercepts it and hits it in the side again! Son of Ripper is knocked along the arena and the fight is nearing the corner of the arena. Arguably the most dangerous part as the moat is on two sides!
Son of Ripper while externally looking more or less undamaged is having some mobility problems and doesn€™t look able to escape the corner! Star 69 spins up and hits Son of Ripper out of the arena, but the back force also sends Star 69 into the moat! The judges are called in to see who exited the arena first. It€™s hard to tell at first, but slow-mo view tells us the next person to leave the NSBFL house is€¦ Son of Ripper, please pack your things and go, you have been evicted!
SoR is now SoRe. Star 69 moves into a new position!

I hope youll join us next time for:
Venom (9) vs Die Ceratops Invertus - Last Bot Standing
360 vs M.O.R.D - Unimmediate Peril
-
NSBFL 7
MORD will ram into 360 (who I assume is a full body spinner) with its plow, try to stop it spinning, tip it over and send it OOTA. If I cant, Ill keep pressurising it and wait for the House Robot or the pit to come into play so I can use them.

NSBFL 7
HEAT E
ROUND 1
1) Die-Ceratops Invertus VS Venom (9)
Looks like a pretty close affair to me, but Ill pick the seed to run out of gas first and to be overturned by the dino
2) 3-6-0 VS M.O.R.D.
Letters beats numbers :proud:, as Richie stops the spinner and scoops it into the Pit
This really isnt the seeds War, is it? :P

NSBFL 7
Frank, not complaning but:
quote:
Srimech - It uses a simple arm to self-right it other the left-hand
side. The arm is electric powered
not that Im complaning, cos NSA was a crap vapour.
-
NSBFL 7
First off a big sorry to Dave for not reading that stats properly.
Second off, I have offered a rewrite to Dave via MSN and hes declined.
-
NSBFL 7
My reasons for declining the rewrite:
1 - I dont want to make Frank do anymore work
2 - Im not to fuss on winning everything, like some people
3 - Its not British to complan at everything.
Auto, because NSA was only a filler robot in my line-up, it doesnt matter if it went out.
-
NSBFL 7
My only real concern is if the pit opens and i ping myself into it.
Tactics, ill try and do like Dori in Finding Nemo and Just keep spinning...meh, it was swimming back then, but now its spinning :p If i can keep spinning, i ought to be able to do a fair bit of damage, i have to keep away from that plow

NSBFL 7
It€™s heat E of what has already been an upset filled NSBFL 7 with seeds crashing out early left right and centre! Our next four contestants are:
Venom is the series 4 champ and ninth seed, but only barely made it into this series thanks to numbers being down. It€™s a compact flipping machine with enough power to send an unwary opponent out of the ring, but as it€™s real it€™s got the disadvantage of having a budget! Will Venom end up poisoned by more advanced machines?
MORD is the self proclaimed Master of Robotic Destruction. It€™s got a scoop for pushing, but can lift that out of the way to reveal a fearsome flywheel for some mayhem or robot dissection. We€™ve seen it before in the NSBFL, where it reached the football final with Drilla Killa 7 and came within an inch of winning the cup. We€™ve seen what it can do on the pitch, now let€™s see what it can do in the arena!
360 is another machine we€™ve seen before. It€™s a fairly low-powered invertible full-body spinner, but the 360 degree attack and defence will still make it dangerous to approach. In NSBFL 6 it met sheer Hell in the first round and became unstuck very quickly.
Die-Ceratops Invertus is a veteran of other wars, but this is Chris Mason€™s first NSBFL and he€™s hoping to make it a good one here. Die-Ceratops Invertus boasts an invertible flipper mechanism and tough armour but control can be an issue.
Battle 1
Ex champ and real robot Venom is taking on Die-Ceratops Invertus in the Last €˜Bot Standing arena!

ACTIVATE!!
Venom charges under Die-Ceratops straight away from the side and flips it twice! This doesn€™t worry Chris as Die-Ceratops is invertible, but venom takes Die-Ceratops into the wall and flips it again, staking it sideways! Die-Ceratops fires the flipper, freeing itself and this time it€™s Chris€™ turn to show off his weapon as Die-Ceratops gets under Venom and tips it over!
Venom self rights, but Die-Ceratops gets under again and once more the real robot is upended! Die-Ceratops comes in to try and stop Venom self righting but miss-times and Venom self rights and tosses Die-Ceratops through the air again! Upon landing, Die-Ceratops spins to attack Venom again, but Venom gets under the side of the spinning Die-Ceratops and stacks it again!
Once more Die-Ceratops flips itself off the wall, only to get shunted from the side and flipped by Venom, just missing being stacked again! Die-Ceratops is able to get under Venom again and throws it over, trying to use their own stacking tactic against them but just failing as Venom self rights away! The two collide head-on, but neither seems able to get under the other that way and a pushing match ensues!
Die-Ceratops slowly eases Venom backwards, but Venom reverses and turns away and Die-Ceratops shoots forwards and crashes into the wall! Venom gets under the rear of Die-Ceratops and tries to stack it on the flipper itself, but Die-Ceratops unbalances and crashes down onto its side, and fires the flipper to escape! Venom blocks this escape route however, and Die-Ceratops wastes another two flips before Venom has to back off or be disqualified, leaving Die-Ceratops to flip itself away from the wall in peace!
Venom comes in to stack Die-Ceratops again, but Die-Ceratops manages to get out of the way causing Venom to crash into the wall! Die-Ceratops then gets under Venom€™s side and throws the real machine over! Venom self rights, but immediately gets tossed onto its back again, and flipped once more into the arena wall! Venom tries to self right, but hits the wall and flops back down, before managing to self right on the second go thanks to spinning a bit after hitting the wall.
Venom then evades another charge by Die-Ceratops and flips it again! Die-Ceratops starts to escape, but Venom catches up and flips it once more, but only manages to bounce it up a little on the third try! Die-Ceratops twists around and manages to get under and flip Venom from the side! The flipper of Venom opens, but Venom isn€™t self righting and it looks like they€™re out of gas! The flipper of Venom is opening and closing but Venom isn€™t self-righting, so the seed is counted out!
Venom got sick, and that€™s another seed gone. Die-Ceratops Invertus goes through to the heat final!
Battle 2

360 starts to spin up, but MORD comes in with the scoop, pinging 360 away! 360 starts spinning again, but MORD is able to get the scoop under before any great speed is reached, then takes it into the arena wall and tries to stack it! 360 just rolls away and clatters down, but MORD is under again quick as a flash and pushes it into the wall to keep it stalled, and once more tries to stack it, with the same result!
360 escapes and starts spinning up, but MORD reverses into the spinner, again stopping it reaching any serious spinning speed! 360 runs away, but MORD gives chases and flips 360 over a couple of times before leaving the scoop up and striking with the flywheel, bouncing 360 up a bit and denting the armour! MORD puts the scoop back down and pushes 360 along the arena, trying to flip it out of the ring!
360 bounces off the wall though and starts spinning momentarily before MORD smashes it into the wall again and succeeds in stacking it! Richard backs MORD off a bit, lines it up perfectly, gets under 360 and finally manages to eject the spinner from the arena!
360? We€™ve got your number!:proud: MORD mashes obliterates rips and destroys!
And so the heat final is:

Nice play on MORDs acronym there, Frank! MORD will try shoving Dieceratops Invertus into the PPZ, attacking with plow and disc, and try to avoid the pits - or if I must touch a pit, I will only do so with a corner or edge so I dont fall in if it opens.
-
NSBFL 7
Man, the seeds have their work cut out this year :S HM and Venom, former champs, out in R1.
I really want MORD to win, being as Richard WAS my tag partner (we should do that again sometime).

Im up for it at the next oppotunity, Dave!

MORD rushes Die-Ceratops, avoiding two pits as it does so, while Chris keeps his distance and waits for MORD to come to him! The two meet head on, and MORD proves the winner, flipping Die-Ceratops over then leaving the scoop raised and using the disc on the back of Die-Ceratops bouncing it up a bit! Die-Ceratops moves away but MORD puts the scoop down, gets under the rear of Die-Ceratops and pushes it into the PPZ where Flipup awaits!
The house robot fires Die-Ceratops over MORDs head, and to Chris€™ horror bounces over a pit which fails to open! Die-Ceratops charges the rear of MORD, while MORD spins around to stop this attack! Die-Ceratops gets under the side of MORD though and tosses it into the PPZ and straight onto the flipper of Flipup, and MORD is sent the same way as Die-Ceratops, bounces onto a pit and rolls straight off and into the arena centre!
Die-Ceratops follows MORD while Richard is working out which way up his machine is and lunges for the side again, but MORD dodges, runs away and spins on the spot to face Die-Ceratops again, and manages to get under the turning Die-Ceratops€™ side, flipping it over and striking the other side with the disc a couple of times before Die-Ceratops manages to turn around and get under the disc with the wedge and flipping MORD over, taking a blow to the flipper plate while doing so!
MORD takes another flipping, this time from the rear and almost goes over a pit! Die-Ceratops moves forwards to push MORD over the pit, but MORD€™s scoop is down now and manages to get under the front of Die-Ceratops and begins pushing back! Die-Ceratops is forced backwards and over another pit, but ironically it€™s the one MORD avoided being pushed over that opens! MORD flips Die-Ceratops over the pit, and then rushes around to the other side to meet it, but Die-Ceratops has turned by this point and flips MORD into the PPZ!
MORD immediately rushes out of the PPZ, narrowly avoiding taking a bash from The Militant, and scoops under Die-Ceratops€™ side and pushing it into the wall, propping it against it for good measure before backing off hurriedly! Die-Ceratops flips itself off the wall, but Uncle Tomahawk smashes into it and bashes down a couple of times with the axe! Die-Ceratops flips Uncle-Tomahawk away, but not quite over and gets out of the PPZ just before Bane arrives on the scene! However MORD scoops it up as it flees and flips it up once with the scoop and then strikes again with the flywheel, bouncing Die-Ceratops over a pit, which opens, casting Die-Ceratops into what Steve would call the screaming void, but is in fact only trying to sing!
Die-Ceratops Invertus is now extinct. MORD masters one robotic dino!

NSBFL 7
Velcome€¦ To your doom! Mwahahaha€¦ha€¦ha€¦..ha . Sorry, wrong script. Welcome to heat F. Battling to the death today for your sadistic amusement are:
Battle Raptor 3 is the 11th seed. Unchanged since series 6, it still sports a flipper/axe and front scoop. It prefers to self right, but if the weapon breaks it can run inverted instead. It€™s got decent armour, but the weapon won€™t work inverted. In series 6 in got knocked out in round 1 by Hell Machine, but got seeded thanks to winning the tag team event.
Hacked off Ha-Ka is the latest version of an NSBFL veteran. It€™s got decent enough armour and pushing power, but the axe is now pant-wettingly powerful, making this a tough contender. A Ha-Ka machine was last seen all the way back in series 4 but I can€™t remember who beat it so I won€™t tell you:proud: It was also seen in NSBFL X in a grudge match with Molten Massacre, which it won.
Ankle Biter EVO was originally made by Aaron Knight, but bought on Vapour €˜bot Ebay by Matt Robinson. It boasts 4-wheel drive, good armour and a Tornado style drum which can be retracted into the body to prevent it being stalled. However no skirts and a flat boxy shape mean flippers could toss this machine around all day.
Crush 2 is a powerful crushing machine from Chris Mason€™s camp. The crusher is as powerful as Razer€™s, meaning enough to send most machines packing, and the rollover shape and crusher can self right the machine efficiently. However no base panel means that axe/flipper combos could attack the very innards with few problems.
Battle 1

The fight starts slowly as Battle Raptor and Ha-Ka edge towards each other, before Matty decides top make the first move and slams into the front of Battle Raptor, trying to get under it. The two wedges stalemate and Ha-Ka responds by smashing into the top of Battle Raptor with the axe causing a fearsome dent! Battle Raptor reverses away from another attack, and slips around to the side of Ha-Ka.
Ha-Ka drives away from the attack though, and both machines avoid one another for a couple of seconds while both Richard and Matty try to attack without getting attacked. After thirty seconds of dodging around, Battle Raptor manages to slide under the side of Ha-Ka and toss it onto its back! Ha-Ka self rights with the axe, but Battle Raptor is able to get under again and throw it over! Battle Raptor shoves Ha-Ka across the arena now, as Ha-Ka tries to self right!
Battle Raptor pops the up-ended Ha-Ka into The Militant€™s CPZ, and the self righting Ha-Ka takes a hit on the side as it flies up, resulting in it spinning out of the CPZ while in mid air which looks totally cool and is a real shame you only have to read about it! Anyway, the end result is Ha-Ka is back on its wheels and out for revenge, and gets an axe attack on the top of Battle Raptor! Battle Raptor replies with its own axe, and the two axe into each other for a couple of seconds.
Richard, seeing Battle Raptor taking more damage than Ha-Ka moves Battle Raptor away from the scene, and evades another lunge by Ha-Ka! Battle Raptor spins around and gets under Ha-Ka€™s side again, and flips it onto the huge flipping plate of Flipup! Flipup fires Ha-Ka across the arena, where it smashes into the floor, bounces and lands in The Militants CPZ again, and takes a hit on the rear before it can escape!
Battle Raptor follows Ha-Ka down the arena as a siren wails and the pit descends. Ha-Ka avoids the push, but isn€™t in a position to counterattack, so runs off to get enough distance for a better attack. Battle Raptor turns on the spot and follows, but Ha-Ka dodges and the two machines end up side by side, unable to attack each other! Both spin around to try and get to grips with the other, and the proceeds gets taped and sold as a dance video!
Ha-Ka reverses to break out of the pattern, and is rewarded almost immediately as Battle Raptor gets broad-sided, and Ha-Ka happily smashes the axe into the top, penetrating the armour! Ha-Ka keeps the axe lodged in, and pushes Battle Raptor 3 into the wall and hits it another couple of times, denting and holing the armour before Battle Raptor reverses out of the pin, and immediately goes forwards to get under Ha-Ka€™s side again!
Battle Raptor flips Ha-Ka over, only to get under it again as it self rights! Ha-Ka starts waving the axe around trying to dislodge itself as Richard lines Battle Raptor up with the pit! Battle Raptor takes Ha-Ka over to the pit, but Ha-ka ends up half over it! Battle Raptor reverses a little to get a better angle to finish Ha-Ka off, but Ha-Ka isn€™t giving up and gets off the pit! Battle Raptor comes in again and flips Ha-Ka towards the pit! Now half of Ha-Ka is over, and Battle Raptor comes in one more time, sending Ha-Ka into the hole!
It€™s a shock result, as a seed survives a fight! Ha-Ka very Hacked Off!
Battle 2
Ankle Biter EVO vs Crush 2 in Last €˜Bot Standing.

Ankle Biter starts off the fastest, easily getting around to Crush 2€™s side and then pushing the crusher while extending the drum to do some damage! Crush 2 is bounced up slightly, but not overturned while Ankle Biter pushes Crush 2 into the wall, and backing off for a slam which Crush 2 avoids!
Crush 2 spins around on the spot, and clamps down onto the front of Ankle Biter and starts to crush, bending the Titanium but not breaking it! Ankle Biter reverses, but only succeeds in dragging Crush 2 along with it before Chris disengages the crusher and Ankle Biter shoots back! The armour on Ankle Biter may have only been dented, but that dent€™s gone straight over the opening for the drum and now it looks like the drum is trapped inside Ankle Biter!
Crush 2 comes in again before Ankle Biter can get away and gets under the side! The claw comes down and bends the armour even more but still not managing to break though! Ankle Biter is in pretty bad shape though as Crush 2 withdraws the claw to get a better purchase, and crushes straight through one of the wheels! Crush 2 is forced to back away due to the thirty second pinning rule, but Ankle Biter is moving in circles only! As Ankle Biter has no effective drive and a disabled weapon, the fight is stopped on a technical knockout!
Another shock result. A quick Last €˜bot standing match! Ankle Biter bit off more than it can chew, and goes home with Crush 2 nipping at its heels!
Next up, the heat F final where Battle Raptor 3 takes on Crush 2 in the Moat. Will Richard make it 2-0 on Chris, or will revenge be on the cards?

I suppose Ill just try to get to Crush 2s sides and shove him into the moat.

It€™s November the 8th, and we all know what that means. It€™s the 8th of November! Oh yeah, it€™s also the final of Heat F. In round 1, Battle Raptor 3 managed to push Hacked off Ha-Ka into the pit after sustaining damage, while Crush 2 disabled the weapon and half the drive on Ankle Biter EVO to win on a technical knock-out. Will Battle Raptor crush Chris Mason€™s dreams, or will Crush 2 battle forwards? We€™ll see shortly as they head into the Moat.

Richards whole game plan is to quickly get Crush 2 into the moat, and Battle Raptor starts forwards with the intention of doing just that! Chris keeps the front of Crush 2 facing Battle Raptor, and moves to try and get under the front! Battle Raptor backs away, not wanting to risk a head on battle in the moat, but Crush 2 keeps coming forwards and Battle Raptor is being edged towards the uh€¦ Edge. However, Battle Raptor manages to turn away, and Crush 2 goes forwards a bit before Chris can compensate!
This is all Richard needs though, as Battle Raptor is facing Crush 2€™s side, and a quick drive forward and flip sends Crush 2 over, but back onto its wheels thanks to the roll bar! Crush 2 moves forwards to avoid another flip from Battle Raptor, then reverses into Battle Raptor€™s side in an effort to push it into the moat! Battle Raptor reverses, and Crush 2 again gets caught on the side and flipped towards the moat, and almost goes over it!
Crush 2 goes forwards at full throttle to avoid Battle Raptors next charge, and moves towards the safety of the arena centre, with Battle Raptor in hot pursuit! Crush 2 swings around to bring the crusher towards Battle Raptor, but is caught as it turns and flipped towards the moat again! It doesn€™t quite roll over properly, and so the lifter is used but this gives Battle Raptor time to come in and push the inverted Crush 2 towards the edge, and with a final flip sends it into the moat!
Crush 2 too crushed to continue, Battle Raptor 3 becomes only the second seed to survive its heat!

Next time its Heat G, and the line-up is:
VGer (13) vs Circuit Breaker - Roulette
Got Bot vs GeForce - Unimmediate peril
-
NSBFL 7
Got Bot vs GeForce
Just try to get the flipper under, push it towards a wall and eject it out as soon as possible.
-
NSBFL 7
For Circuit Breaker, attack wedge-first to scoop under the spinning... things and flip it over, or push it into a wall failing that. It might tear the omniwheel off, but the lifting bars themselves are rather tight and should hold together fine. If I ever stop the weapon, Id be obliged to mark it up with my own.
No other strategies really, other than keeping the lifter facing it at all times at first, and keeping near it once the weapons stopped.

This tourney is on hold for the next week. Long story short, I got really stressed and punched a door which ws 80% glass. Its now around 70% glass, and my right hand, while not being out of comission, isnt exactly flexible enough for typing long-ish fights.

NSBFL 7
Lets see, what stressed you out?
*takes out long roll of paper and a pen* :proud:
