i've used lipo packs for airsofting for a year or two now. I've had one on fire too...cool but not funny at the time.
I'm using 14awg silcone wire. Which should be enough for lipos?

14AWG is good for 32a apparently.

thats a good link to have with the amp rating.
how many amps to do you think a drill motor on 18.5v's would pull?
I don't really know, as an estimate I'd say 8a max?
depends what the load is.
At a stall the amps woulb be considerably more then it just running freely
what i was getting at is...will 14awg wire be enough?
heres a photo of my pivot bracket for my lifter motor, parts arrived today so thought I would get on with it.

It should be more than enough.
Looking really good by the way!
Cool! It's looking like a good robot!!!
thanks guys, not bad for a first featherweight
I've started the wiring for the bot, while waiting parts coming.
I've fitted an in-line fuse where the batterys connect, i was thinking of making the fuse rating the continious rating of the ESC? what do you think?
Also i was thinking of putting my link here: this is beside the weapon motor however it is away from moving parts will this be ok?
