Same problem here, found that holding the bind switch when powering up TX got it going every time quickly, ( no bind plug in RX), could this be a software problem in the DX6i.

The problem is more widespread indeed.
It is really odd, Ive been reading up a lot on this issue. Some have no problems at all and fly there models with AR6000s without any issues on a DX6i, and others hev been trying to get their complete arsenal of AR6000s to work and have no luck at all. The randomness puzzles me.
One person stated the binding went better with a servo attached, which to me is total abracadabra.

seem cheap but with the problems cant see us buying one even at that price
They have always been that price, and are a better TX. It must be some faulty software, and hopefully spektrum will be able to make a new downloadable peice of software to instal. We shal see, but its a big shame.
