Put all 3 on profile now, thanks woody and everyonme else for their help
cheers alex
Alex ...Ive uploaded a pic for a possible battery configuration on my profile.
would i reassemble the 5 lots of 2 cells using wire? because on your diagram woody it seems to be from tag to cell
thanks alex
Also soldering it all together, i have a soldering iron gun which you press the trigger to heat up, unlike the usaul soldering iron. is this still ok to use?
thanks alex
A soldering gun is fine ... as is using wire.
Remember the tip from Rob ... cut the tags in half and solder on to them rather than the batteries themselves
and aslong as i get + to - it will be ok to charge?
thanks alex
Yes.
ive tried, to put solder on the wire tip then later re heat and put on the tag, this didnt work so im going to try put it on the tag straight away, any tips?
thanks alex
Tin ( put solder on ) both .... you might find that Flux or Bakers fluid will help you tin the battery tags.....
A high wattage soldering iron will also help.
Id tin the wire first ...... then as soon as the battery tag is tinned.. and still hot.. solder on the wire.
