6 new robots are here today to fight Shunt to see who wins the 10 points for Act 2, let€™s have the look at the stats for Shunt:

Robot 1 - The Big Push
The FAR 6 sumo champion is back, still carrying the old Scottish flag; will Steve€™s mean machine push for Scotland?

ACTIVE
Shunt gets off to a quick start, being driven by my sister, Emma, as she aims towards the sides of The Big Push. Steve turns quicker and starts to roll, the two robots hit, but Shunt is at an annoying angle for The Big Push to hmm, push. Both robots€™ tractions are cancelling each other out, as no-one is getting the higher grip on the surface before The Big Push gets it€™s wedge underneath Shunt, and before Emma can reverse, Shunt is being pushed off the ring and onto the tyres.

Robot 2 - The Box Returns
Andy makes a return to the sumo ring, this time with a drum fitted to flip robots up to allow the push to come into play.

ACTIVE
At once, The Box Returns gets off; it has the best handling off all the robots here today and gets around the sides of Shunt to come in with the drum. It hits the side, but doesn€™t lift up, instead Andy puts on the full power available from the drive and pushes Shunt sideways, the flat front interlocking with the sides of Shunt, as for the 2nd time in 2 fights, Shunt is on the tyres.

Robot 3 - Shovearound 2
This American rammer enters the sumo in a hope in winning some points for team Tony.

Shovearound 2 is the fastest of the 7 robots here today and it shows, as Tony finds it hard to put down all the power as he does a standing wheel spin, but manages to dodge around the side of Shunt with ease, and gets the spike rake underneath the side of Shunt and lifts up the side wheel, and before Emma can do anything to stop Tony€™s march to power, Shunt once more is off the ring and onto the tyres.

Robot 4 - Cofi A-ram
Matt€™s 4 wheel drive pusher returns, hoping to ram a robot off the pitch.

A slower start to today€™s fight than the previous 2, as Cofi A-ram gets away from the start line well, with no wheel spin, and Shunt manages to dodge the bullet and slams into the side of the slow turning machine of Cofi A-ram. Matt is trying to do something, but it doesn€™t matter how many wheels you have, when you are pushed sideways no wheels can save you, as the 4 wheels are spinning on the steel surface, as Emma fires the axe, which bounces off the top of Cofi A-ram, and the lifting front lifts up the side of Matt€™s machine as it goes out in a roll. Crashing down onto the tyres.

Robot 5 - Lets go ram round again
Martyn€™s rammer returns to style, in a 6 wheel drive full bodied rammer.

Lets go ram round again gets off to a flying start, the wheels keeping on the ground, as Martyn simply aims straight towards Shunt and gets underneath the front, the flipper fires, lifting Shunt onto it€™s back, and another flip sends Shunt rolling out of the arena and onto the tyres.

Robot 6 - Primal Assault
Entered by Viper, Andy hopes to get another lot of points to get into the lead, after Team Tom didn€™t enter in time, with a wedge and flipper, who knows.

ACTIVE
Both Shunt and Primal Assault move forward, and Andy dodges the initial attack from Shunt, but Emma dodges Primal Assault€™s dodge, and the front ends meet. Primal Assault gets underneath the front end of Shunt, lifting the wheels off the ground, so that Shunt has no torque, but the rear wedge is digging into the steel, and providing back force, as Primal Assault€™s wheels are spinning on the steel surface as time slowly ticks by. Both robots are caught in a duel, which neither can get away, the axe fires on Shunt, trying to make a mark on the top armour, and the flipper fires, but there is nothing but rare air on top of the flipper, as the clock slowly ticks up to the minute.

So after all 6 roboteers have shaken hands, no one know their times, as Matt, Steve and Andy are looking worried, as the official timekeeper walks up to all 6 drivers with a letter with the results.
The results are, in ascending order€¦
1st - Shovearound 2 in 9.8 seconds
2nd - Lets go ram round again in 9.9 seconds
3rd - The Box Returns in 12.8 seconds
4th - The Big Push in 38.1 seconds (Steve lets out a big sigh of relief)
5th - *Drum-roll* Survived the whole minute, Primal Assault
6th - Cofi A-ram beaten by shunt in 42.4 seconds
So, we loss Matt, but he doesn€™t leave empty handed, he gets a point and we all know what points make, prizes. So what when wrong for Matt?
*Some old git who is a judge* - Well the turning was too low, so it couldn€™t turn quick enough to counter-act the attack, and couldn€™t get away because Mr Shunt was faster.

The Maze of Doom
Set in a castle far far away, you need to get around this maze in the quickest time, the slowest is eliminated. If you can not complete the maze within 5 minutes, your distance is noted and the robot who has travelled the least amount is eliminated. If you get caught on any of the items, you can forfeit that object and take a 30 second time penalty.
Some of the details are:
The green area, which is a gate you need to beat it, it opens and closes every 5 seconds.
The arena to the right of the gate is a place where you need to do a 3-point turn to get back around and down the straight
The lane to the far right of the diagram is a low hill downhill which shouldnt affect anybody
The Blue area has 10 sideways raised parts designed to ground out low robots, and cause 2 wheel drive robots trouble if you loss momentum. The bumps are only 2mm high.
The Yellow area is a ramp, its a 15 degree ramp, be careful because it can ground out and if you come up to fast you will miss the corners.

Take off the skirt and lifting spikes so they dont get in the way. Dont avoid any hazards. just march through that maze at full speed. Sicne I have good manuveribility, I shouldnt have too much trouble turning. So I shoudlnt have many problems here. Just always be at full speed [except for the ramp, at the ramp ill slow down a bit, and at the closing gates, I
ll wait until they JUST closed, then when they reopen, ZOOM straight through them]
