Re: Turnigy tz85a from BotBitz
its probably just windows 8. its a real stupid OS, really annoying sometimes. would be useful if Microsoft made two different OSs for different users (advanced and a simpler one) so you can do what you want to do with out the limits and restrictions of the simplified windows 8.
Re: Turnigy tz85a from BotBitz
Shakesc would you mind talking me through exactly what HK software you've used please?
Thanks to everyone for their help
Re: Turnigy tz85a from BotBitz
Hi
I used a windows 7 machine. My other machine is Mac. Might try that at some stage , I believe KK s/w is just a Java app
Downloaded the KK multicopter flash programming software, see
http://lazyzero.de/en/modellbau/kkmulticopterflashtool
The USBAsp drivers can be a little fuzzy to install. If they are an issue then have a look at
http://www.fischl.de/usbasp/
and for just the drivers

Re: Turnigy tz85a from BotBitz
I also did what Dan said and used a plug for the gnd wire
Just saves some soldering
Re: Turnigy tz85a from BotBitz
Done it! Thanks for the help everyone. It's not the most user friendly piece of software but the KK multicopter worked a treat.
Now I just need some cable to handle the amps, nearly set the fire alarm off today burning through some T&E.
Re: Turnigy tz85a from BotBitz
What's wrong with the cable on the turnigy 85a controllers? Should be more than up to the job for some drills etc
Re: Turnigy tz85a from BotBitz
We're using something slightly larger than drill motors and very Bitza. Although I was surprised that it ate any cable!
Re: Turnigy tz85a from BotBitz
Those wires should be plenty big enough. If those go up I'd be more worried about the rest of the esc going up first.
Re: Turnigy tz85a from BotBitz
The wires on the ESC were fine, it's the rest of the loom that was showing the strain.
Re: Turnigy tz85a from BotBitz
Ah right I understand what you guys mean now
