Re: Robo Challenge at Fleet Air Arm Museum
We're looking into new batteries and we have got to the point of needing an address. We considered my sister who lives in Bristol, who we will be visiting after this event, in order to have the batteries ready for the champs. However it occurred to us that we may be able to do better in time for this event, plus fuel will likely be an issue (typically) considering the current situation in the UK. Is there anyone here who would be willing to have our batteries sent to them, for us to pick them up from said person as this event? It would facilitate things for us greatly. Needless to say we would pay all costs; you would only have to fling 'em in the boot of your car.
The package would consist of two 18v NiMH packs and a charger.
Thanks in advance.
Re: Robo Challenge at Fleet Air Arm Museum
I'll be willing to take them in for you Ellis, pm me and I'll send you my address.
Re: Robo Challenge at Fleet Air Arm Museum
We leave to head down to the venue on Monday, would that be too late?
Re: Robo Challenge at Fleet Air Arm Museum
We'll be ordering them today. The parts are from Component-Shop. Not sure what they're like postage-wise, but it's possible Monday will be too early even though it's UK-to-UK.
I have PMd you, Dave.
Thanks for the immediate replies! This is a great help.
Re: Robo Challenge at Fleet Air Arm Museum
Could I wreck my computer thingy with my robot
Re: Robo Challenge at Fleet Air Arm Museum
You can certainly try, PC towers can be quite tough though. Usually it takes a good spinner to take one apart.
Re: Robo Challenge at Fleet Air Arm Museum
Got an old laptop along with a bunch of old server units I'm planning on bringing down as long as there is space in the car
Re: Robo Challenge at Fleet Air Arm Museum
A bit of a hopeless error (link to build thread) means I'm going to have to pull out of this one to get the feather in reasonable running shape I'm afraid. I'm a fool to have left most of the build to the last minute as this is the kind of thing that inevitably happens when you do!
I wish you all the best for the event and promise to wait until I've got something finished before signing up next time..
Re: Robo Challenge at Fleet Air Arm Museum
Well Boner is all good to go. Just going to tidy up the wiring tomorrow. Had it running around the driveway earlier
Re: Robo Challenge at Fleet Air Arm Museum
Good to hear Boner's ready to hump again. Those endcaps arrive alright?
