I would suggest maybe a pit if not an outer arena, just makes fights a little more interesting and tactical rather than two spinners just hitting each other
Plus, there'd be no way to throw out a spinner
An inclosed arena? oh thats gonna make my flipper pretty useless...
The builders of the arena [teamkenny] have said the arena can be taken to any event where someone wants it. The Guildford Roaming Robots event in June has been suggested. The builders responded that it could come 'if we have the spare time to bring it and the event organisers allow it'.
So perhaps we will see our first beatleweight event. It would be great if teamkenny could let us know if they will have the time and Roaming Robots could let us know if they want to host the arena so people who would like to fight can make plans.
I reckon that rather than a pit a push-out point on a small section of an edge would be worth putting in - such that machines other than spinners have a chance of a KO. Best arenas are those that promote great variety of machine types in my opinion
What sort of motor / gearbox setups are people using?
I don't want to use something too underpowered, or too heavy and over powered for the weight class.
Thanks!
couple of £4 servos :)
100:1 mfa como motors :)
