Actually Ive changed my mind. Ill fit the scoop with latch and go Tornado on it. If I can get the latch to clamp down on the axle then all the better:)

Please let me know if that last fight was unrealistic - with such a powerful spinner, and Hardox armoured robots (irresistable force and immovable objects!) its hard to tell.
1 MJ bar hits wall. Generally this kills the wall, and the robot with the bar. Tornado Mer comes to mind, after its numerous wall-related deaths.
HEAT L
ROUND 2
1) N.S.B.F.R. X (10) VS Sonic Boom
Gotta go with the seed here to win a JD and send Sonic out with a bang
2) Gyrate VS Roo 2
Soz, Matty, but Im picking Mr MegaJoule to outwhirl the roo and leave it for Aussie roadkill :proud:
Wooty as always, Richie! :)
Based on what Dave and Nick have said, I will probably rewrite the second melee, unless Aaron has something to say. I was assuming that if Gyrate can produce that much power, it would probably be able to withstand it to some extent.
Good joke:proud:
ah good.
Spilt up, and only 1 part goes towards Gyrate, pushing it into the wall, destorying the wall and robot. Then help Scott in removing Sonic Booms wheels.
Sorry Dave, you cant change your tactics.
Ive been ill, and Ive also got a bit of college work to get through, but I should make progress soon.
Sorry to hear that, get well soon.
Thanks Frank, but Im already well - its now my sister thats ill!!
Well, heres the rewritten second melee:
3, 2, 1 - ACTIVATE!
Black Chalkie Beard split and both parts headed for the beginning-to-spin Gyrate, while Insecticide went for Sonic Boom, who cam eot meet it! Black and Beard came in on Gyrate - and with their low bodies, slipped under the deadly blade! Immediately they shoved it towards the pit release, but when they did, the flybar touched the wall! The wall cracked, the arena shook violently, and Gyrate was launched backwards, pushing past the twins and flying across the arena floor! Bouncing off the south wall, it flew towards the tussling Insecticide and Sonic Boom, and the still spinning flybar hit them both! A long gash in its front and top, Insecticide wasnt moving at all, while Sonic Booms thick Hardox wheel hubs were cracked, and while slowed, it was still mobile! Landing on the centre of the arena, Gyrates blade began slowing to a stop - the blades powerful impacts with the wall had sent powerful forces shooting through the electrics, killing them dead! While Black rammed into Gyrate and began shoving it towards the pit release, Beard went for Sonic Boom, trying to manouver it towards the pit as well before Insecticide could be counted out! But Sonic Boom managed to keep ahead of Beard, while Black was shoving Gyrates body down the pit! Black then rushed in and managed to knock Sonic Boom, but the axlebot was slippery and managed to escape the clusterbots grip as they attacked! Finally, the buzzer went as Insecticide was counted out, and the 26th seed and Sonic Boom were the survivors of the brief but chaotic melee!
CEASE!
Gyrate and Insecticide are eliminated!
BLACK CHALKIE BEARD AND SONIC BOOM GO THROUGH TO ROUND 2!
Heat L, Round 2:
NSBFR-X (10) vs Sonic Boom
Black Chalkie Beard (26) vs Roo 2
Frank, could you describe the scoop and latch to me please?
Heh, reminds me of when I had Chickenpox quite a few years ago... Ended up giving it to my sister. Still it shows my kind and sharing nature:proud:
OK, the scoop. Think Tornados passive scoop, but with a little hook on it which is powered by a linear actuator and can grip with around 400 KGs of grip. Damage is minimal unless the opponant is using something like thin polycarb.
The idea in this fight is just to keep shoving Sonic Boom around. If Im pushing him, he cant build up momentum to attack. Not that Im expecting much in the way of damage. 800 KGs of downforce sounds a lot but its quite a bit weaker than Terrorhurtz.
