Robot SMASH!!
For godness sake - WHEN am I going to bleedin beat SGO? Next year? Next Tuesday? Im not too bothered abouth THIS loss though, as this wasnt one of my vapourbots.
And on the plus-side, the worst I can come in this competition is 8th, and in the Easter Bunny thing, I came 9th. And if there is the 5th place battle, I might be outclassed, but itll be good.

Quarter-Final 3/4:
Seung Mina IV v Nidhogg
Seung Mina IV is the successor to Seung Mina III (duh), let€™s look back at how Kody€™s robot got this far:
-Flipped Metal Sonic Spin Dash around to win on a JD
-MeCannibal 2.0 was flipped around and eventually pitted
-Another close fight with Flick of the Wrist saw Kody get Mina into the finals.
Nidhogg was the winner of the first challenge belt, like Mina won ETC08. These are both victors of my previous tourneys, so this should make for an interesting match. But how did Nidhogg, the Razer-esque bot with lifting forks to boot get this far?
-Nidhogg took on The Curse in the eliminator and won by damaging the tyres.
-Doorstops was stopped by the increasingly powerful Nidhogg
-And in the heat final Nidhogg got its revenge on WORCK, which had beaten it in the challenge belt.
Booth 1: Kody Kunz
Booth 2: Joey McConnell
5, 4, 3, 2, 1, SMASH!!
Both robots get off the mark quickly, turning and twisting, trying to get their deadly weapons into play before the other does. Mina is the first to draw blood as she breaks through Joey€™s defences and flips Nidhogg onto its back! It€™s a comparatively slow self-righter, and this gives Kody the chance to push in on the attack again, ramming Nidhogg into the corner and flipping it again! Luckily for Joey Nidhogg avoids the arena spike and now he gets the chance to attack, getting underneath Mina€™s skirts with his lifting forks and breaking her traction as he hoists Kody into the air! And Mr. Kunz looks worried as the crusher of Nidhogg comes down on top of his machine, making contact with the top armour and holding on tight! Kody tries to knock Nidhogg away by firing his flipper, but to no avail and Joey carries Mina over to the pit release button! He smashes the tyre off the wall, and Kody tries to loosen himself with the flipper again, and this time Mina falls back onto the arena floor! Instead of reversing away as expected Mina drives in on the attack and throws Nidhogg over again, and it seems that Nidhogg went so high into the air and came down so hard that some of the self-righting spines are damaged with that flip! But for now Joey is safe, although when he lands back on his wheels Kody is ready and rams him into the wall again, and goes for an OOTA! But this time Nidhogg is luck, as Mina was too close to the wall and Joey merely got smashed into it. Nidhogg will have one hell of a headache right now, but Joey is still in the bout and now goes on his own onslaught, getting the forks stuck through the bars of Mina€™s flipper! A move like this wasn€™t expected, and Mina can€™t shake Nidhogg loose with her flipper! Kody looks worried, and once again Joey goes in with that crusher and this time he€™s clamped on completely! But he can€™t push Mina around from this position as her wheels are still on the ground and she has 4 wheels to his 2. Kody suddenly realises that he has a chance of getting Nidhogg into the pit, but Joey realises too and gets both his weapons out of there! He quickly reverses away, but Mina follows and chases Joey into the corner, where Nidhogg is flipped by the arena spike! And before he can self-right Mina goes in for the kill, getting the plate under Nidhogg again and pushing Joey up against the side wall! Nidhogg struggles, but can€™t get free! But as Kody grins maniacally and gets in further he is flipped by the arena spike, and Nidhogg escapes! And this time when Mina self-rights Kody has stacked himself on the arena wall, and now Joey comes in from the side so as to avoid the spike, gets those forks underneath and lifts Mina off the wall from behind! He quickly brings the crusher in, and because it€™s behind Mina Kody can€™t use the flipper to get free! And now Joey drags Mina across the arena floor and right up to the pit of oblivion! He spins around and...
A PUFF OF SMOKE AND IT€™S ALL OVER!
What a shock at this stage in the competition! Nidhogg turns the fight around and pits Mina, who leaves the competition!
Coming Next: The last quarter-final
ISDSFA v Whirligig 4.5

Robot SMASH!!
WAHEY! Thats for...something you did...Good job though Kody, I didnt think I was going to win that one.

Robot SMASH!!
Tactics are to use the scoop to deflect Whirly around to stall the shell, then get pushy and pitty with it.

Robot SMASH!!
Quarter-Final 4/4:
ISDSFA v Whirligig 4.5
ISDSFA is a Behemoth shaped robot with a pussycat style blade hidden behind the scoop. What€™s interesting is that Back to Rock III, a similar design, exited the tournament in the first round while this robot will come at least 8th overall now... Let€™s see how Frank Goacher got ISDSFA to this stage of the competition.
-Mark Elam was confident that his realies would prevail in almost every heat, including this one, where 259 was drawn up against ISDSFA, which dealt with it no problem.
-Pure Evil: Return of the Disc was dispatched quickly and easily by Mr. Goacher€™s promising machine.
-And Killobite 5.0 proved to be no harder in the heat final.
Whirligig 4.5 is Steven McGregor€™s second finalist, after Wedge Devolution. Frank earlier described it as an over sized saw blade, could that comment be true? Steven€™s earlier victories in the heats wouldn€™t suggest that, shall we look back and reminisce?
-With or without you was left with or without a victory.
-Tira III€™s vertical spinner proved to be too unstable and Kody€™s srimech-less bot was left on its back with its wheels in the air.
-The May Tracks Has You proved to be Whirly€™s toughest opponent yet, and certainly could have prevailed over the ring spinner. But Steven got lucky and managed to knock out May Tracks€™ link, disabling the robot and its hopes of glory.
Booth 1: Frank Goacher
Booth 2: Steven McGregor
5, 4, 3, 2, 1, SMASH!!
Whirligig 4.5 immediately starts spinning up, and we must assume that Frank€™s disc is too. But before Steven can really get going ISDSFA comes in on the attack and stops that oversized saw blade in its tracks using his strong scoop! Frank flips Whirly over and brings his disc into play, the sparks are flying now and ISDSFA pushes Whirly onto the flame pit! Steven senses that more trouble is on the way and shuffles off, finally getting up to its top speeds of 1500rpm! But that ring spinner€™s power proves futile against the scoop of ISDSFA again and Frank continues this attack, pushing Whirly into the corner, where it is toppled by the arena spike! And before Whirly can get going again ISDSFA steps in once more and flips Whirly onto the wall, meaning Steven€™s FBS is now stuck with nowhere to go! ISDSFA is reaping a very good revenge for May Tracks here, but before ISDSFA can go for the OOTA Whirly pulls off an unexpected move and manages to just perform a slight spin of the ring to claw its way down to get those feet back on the ground! But Frank doesn€™t give up that easily and persists, flipping Whirligig 4.5 again and getting that disc in once again! Steven looks very worried now and tries to get out of there, but ISDSFA pursues the shuffling ring spinner and pushes it into the pit release button! The siren wails and the crowd goes wild, they want to see Whirly (or ISDSFA) in that pit! Frank agrees with them wanting to see Whirly fall into a chasm of death, and he pushes Steven around and onto the edge so that one shuffling foot is hanging over oblivion! Frank takes his time and lines up for that final shove. ISDSFA shines in the aspect of glory, and zooms in!
THE QUARTER-FINALS ARE ALL OVER!
ISDSFA pits Whirligig in a puff of smoke; Frank Goacher joins the other three triumphant vapour boteers in the semi-finals!
Coming Next: The Play-Off for 5th place! (And 6th and 7th and 8th)
Liar 2 v Storm II v Seung Mina IV v Whirligig 4.5

Robot SMASH!!
Do we have the semi final draw yet?
-
Robot SMASH!!
Wonderful fights here! Im looking forward to the final 4. Are you planning to do another Robot SMASH!!, because Im entering.
The Play-Off for 5th place! (And 6th and 7th and 8th)
Liar 2 v Storm II v Seung Mina IV v Whirligig 4.5: :lame: I have some werid feeling that everyone is going to target me, so Ill give to use robot to my advantage. Ill open the pit at the start if I have to push something in (but I will push something in :proud:)
Liar is my main target, as I believe I can get to its sides quite easily. From then on, Ill push it into Whirligig and hope the oversized sawblade will tear a wheel off. Do this until I suceed. Ill open the pit at the start if I have to push something in (but I will push something in :proud:)
Seung Mina has a grudge against Whirligig and plan to use this to my advantage. Get in behind Seung Mina and slam it flipper first into Whirligig, and hope that Seung Mina scoops up Whirlgig and either flips it over the wall or puts it down the pit. If its the first one, charge under Seung Mina whilst it hass flipped, then put it down the pit. If it does pit Whirlgig, put Seung Mina before it can move away.
Good luck Martijn, Kody and Steven
