Re: YouTube
Tryed to fit one to bruiser a while ago, but didn't work, tryed a wireless one, but due to radio problem, and the fact I loose the picture every time it moves. And a cheap normal mini camera I looked at would of worked, untill I got flipped, unless I mounted it on the inside somewhere, I think it's an awsome idea though, more people should do it, video footage I got from my rc car looked cool, so robots would look awsome!

Re: YouTube
When I saw that camera mount on the first footage that was coming from youtube, I thought it was a new Axe like Disector so he could flame, flip and pummel opponents as he does the Sewer Snake thing we all love...
Amazingly it was a camera mount, giving far more exciting pictures than you'd get in NASCAR or F1 or any of them really!
(Most motorsport cameras seem to cut out after any slight impact so this is way ahead of them!)
There are far too many boring wedges in America but their top tier is probably the best in the world.
Especially when you consider hits such as this, where one boring wedge gets what it deserves :)

Hey guys, any chance of inviting these robots over to the UK for a play? :-p
(Goddammit how do you make the youtube tag work, seems to be different on every forum I go to :-s )

Re: YouTube
Last Rites is a nasty machine!
Smashed up Sewer Snake last year too, but Sewer Snake came out the winner. Stupid Horizontal bar spinners!
The UK doesn't have a HW arena that can take spinners, only a FW one.

Re: YouTube
I'd love that in my garden would keep little one quiet for hours lol, where did u get it
-
Re: YouTube
I love Sewer Snake, and it seems to be in in-form robot over there, almost has the spirit of Diesector about it with its coolness.
In a time when most US Robots are either wedges (with flamethrowers bolted on to try and distract you from their boring pushing and shoving...looks nice but ultimately doesn't do much) or too destructive for words spinners, SS stands out as something a cut above.
And successfully too!
Hmmm, American scene dominated by spinners, UK scene dominated by Flippers....
Hold a world championships (in their arenas ;) ) and problem solved! :)

Re: YouTube
Simple. There are some misunderstandings, some missing details most of the old guard roboteers know of/ But all in all, a good report.

Re: YouTube
Brilliant antweight fight from the land of Aus. Definitely the best gyro-dancing I've seen in a robot :)

Re: YouTube
Haha, awesome! I don't know why it bothers having drive, the disk has far more control over it's movement.

Re: YouTube
Good fight, nice one Australians :)

Re: YouTube
Hehe, that was fun to watch. :) Gyroscopics are well at work I see. :)

Re: YouTube
A nice wee well-produced video from our friends down under in the Queensland Robotic Sports Club, highlighting the desire to get people away from computer games and back to building things with their hands.

Re: YouTube

Re: YouTube
Yeah I know a few camera shy roboteers one was even downright rude about it.

whooah thats insane, i would be so scared that i would break my cars doing that!
-
Thanks, all it broke was one of the driveshaft bearings, which was replaced a few minutes later!
-
Laser, is the center of gravity so far off on your planes (tail heavy) or do you keep your elevator up too much?
-
@leorcc I think the wind was catching them a bit to much forcing them to move up aswell as the elavator being up too much, I didnt build them, my grandad did so i dont know if they were balanced properly.
@webby Wow thats pretty good for a jump that big, i managed to completely ruin my nitro car by driving it into my savage, ripped the whole rear assembly apart!
-
@Laser Woah, thats a lot of damage for what happend! We did demolition derby with my Slash and with 2 revo's with pico race engines, Baja flux, Savage flux with baja conversion, Savage XL and a Vorza! The winner was the vorza with me coming second due to my drive shaft snapping, but i now have x- duty shafts!
Ill see if i can find the vid
