Against Gehenna I'll aim to get it over with ASAP. Be aggressive, and go for the clamp and pit as quickly as I can. The spinning blade doesn't bother me too much, and the flipper isn't overly potent either, but if I get the chance I wouldn't mind disabling it by hitting the rams with my axe when the flipper is open, but that's not a priority. The main tactic is just ram Gehenna around as much as possible, get plenty of hits with the axe to cause maximum damage and try to get it down the pit without putting myself in danger of going down.

Gehenna vs. V For Vendetta
I'll have a go at getting the armour with my spinning bar. If I can hit it, I could probably cause some damage there. If not, then I'll try to cause damage to the chassis instead. The skirts are another target. If I can weaken or remove those, it means I can get under more easily with the wedge and flipper. I'll try and use V For Vendetta's speed to my own advantage. This is going to be a difficult match so I'll see if I can get to a judges decision and try and win based on damage caused.

AJ: It really matters on who gets underneath, so I€™ll use the spinner and flipper as much as possible. Avoid the front like the plague, and since I came 6th last year, I think I€™ve got a good chance, but it€™s not going to be easy, that€™s for sure.

Vendetta has got the axe, and the great pushing power. However, Gehenna did come 6th last year, and it€™s much improved. So it could really go either way, but let€™s see what happens!

This is to determine who goes into our Series Semi€™s, and already, Gehenna is in trouble, axed and pushed around by Vendetta and straight into the arena saws it goes! A shower of sparks there as Gehenna€™s Titanium/Vanadium armour comes into contact with the saws and now, the unscathed Gehenna spins the rear weapon up to full speed. Vendetta pushes the pit button, and Gehenna€™s rear spinner crashes into it without notice!
CRASH!!!
The bar causes immense flurries of sparks, as both bots spin away from each other! Vendetta€™s skirt is bent very slightly, but the hinge is undamaged, thankfully. Now, Lewis is even more annoyed, so he gets underneath Gehenna€™s side, brings the axe down and pushes it into Matilda!
CRASH!!!
Sparks fly, as Gehenna gets absolutely tossed by the deadly pink arse of Matilda, and Gehenna self-rights using the flipper! Now, Gehenna is seemingly oblivious to Matilda€™s attack, and gets under the skirts of Vendetta somehow! Now, it carries Vendetta towards the wall, and flips it! Vendetta is in real trouble here€¦
FLIP!!
€¦will it go out€¦ NO! It comes back with a thump back into the arena, and for a minute, I thought Vendetta was going to go out! Vendetta self rights with the axe, and fights back! Gehenna is being carried towards the pit by Vendetta, but it JUST escapes as well by the skin of its teeth! Goodness, what a great battle this is, lots of action here. Gehenna, now comes in for the kill with the blade on Vendetta!

Plenty of aggression and lots of sparks flying here! Vendetta gets spun away by Gehenna once again, and a piece of the skirt is ripped off, but again, the hinge is okay. Vendetta isn€™t done yet, though! It rams Gehenna, and drags it towards the pit once again, BUT Gehenna escapes for the second time in a row, and Gehenna has had enough of this, it looks like! Now, it gets underneath the side of Vendetta and drags it towards the wall again! It fires the flipper€¦ Vendetta can€™t get away!
FLIP!
€¦and it€™s teetering on the edge of oblivion here, and Gehenna comes in for the final flip, and down it goes! Gehenna has won the heat, and now it€™s taking on the Refbot here! Refbot tries to get away€¦

Too late. :lame: Refbot has been flipped onto its side, and now, Gehenna drags it towards the pit! BOOM! Down it goes! AJ and Lewis are laughing in the control pods at the Refbot being humiliated!

Wedge Devo has returned, looking to score big and to flip robots with the same flipper with plenty of strong flips which can chuck opponents into the mesosphere! 4mm Hardox is the armour, which is quite strong. However, no matter how many flips it has, it will run out, so it€™s got to be careful.
From England, Armoured Wedgie 2.0!
Armoured Wedge is another new robot to the sport, but do NOT be fooled! It€™s got a very big forward hinged flipper which can flip opponents easily; top that with tough armour, and good pushing power. Quite possibly, this is the opponent to beat here.
From Texas in the USA, Bandwagon 3!
Bandwagon is a new robot made by Mark Elam, driven by 24v S28-400 motors, with a very nasty rear hinged flipper on board that is powered by 2 Co2 tanks. The armour is tough as well, and it€™s a good all-rounder, but it€™s made by a novice€¦ does that make a difference? :proud:

In booth 1, there is Steve and Lewis at the controls of Wedge Devo and Armoured Wedgie respectively, and in the second booth, there is Mark Elam standing alone at the controls of Bandwagon. There is also Shunt in the 1st CPZ, with the axe and the lifting scoop, and Mangled Metal in the other corner with the spinning ring of DEATH.

The battle has begun, and Wedge Devo is the first to move, but Bandwagon immediately moves towards Armoured Wedgie, and gets underneath!

The flip sends Armoured Wedgie flying, and it comes down with a thud! Armoured Wedgie self-rights, and fights back by getting underneath the side skirts of Bandwagon somehow and flipping it into the pit button! Now, the pit opens, and Bandwagon immediately self-rights at once! Wedge Devo joins the fun and gets underneath Armoured Wedgie, and now it carries the Wedgie into the spinner of Mangled Metal!
CRASH!!!
The spinner slams Armoured Wedgie with great amount of force, and Lewis€™s machine is sent spinning away, there! A dent can be seen in the armour, and now, Wedge Devo has even more fun with Armoured Wedgie, but it turns and gets underneath Wedge Devo and slams it into Mangled Metal!

One of the skirts is ripped off completely, and lying on the arena floor, but Bandwagon tries to avenge Wedge Devo by slamming into Armoured Wedgie and carrying it to the wall! Can Bandwagon do it€¦

Splinter? Isn€™t that the name of the robot that got trashed by Hypno-Disc in the 4th Wars? :rofl: However, it€™s much improved, with a new axe and grabbing arms, but it€™s still got somewhat weak armour, so it could get ugly again here, now that there are TWO spinners on steroids. :P
From Escondio, California, Megabyte!
Noted for winning the 2003 RFL championship, Megabyte is a very good robot with an outer shell that spins madly, hoping to cause damage to the max. However, it€™s got a very slow self-righting mechanism. Good robot, though.
From Shrewsbury in Shropshire, and the Number 7 seeds, The Final Cut!
Here we have lucky number 7, The Final Cut, with tracks instead of wheels, a HUGE spinning flywheel, and built by Andrew Jackson. It€™s very sturdy and destructive, but still tracks are exposed from the top, so 7 might not really be the lucky number for this robot. ;)

Off we go with the second battle of the night, and already, the two spinners spin up to speed. Splinter€¦ doesn€™t know what to do. :proud: Megabyte comes in onto the side of Splinter, carefully avoiding the front scoop!

Splinter is spun away, and the grabbing arm on one side is totally bent! A part of the armour is ripped away, as well! Now, it tries to retaliate and chases after Megabyte! Now, Megabyte immediately gets away, and up to speed again! The Final Cut now comes in on Splinter€™s side!
CRASH!!!
The other side is totally crunched, and pieces of armour go flying out of control and Splinter is running in circles, Megabyte now comes in with the spinner, and it slams itself into Splinter€™s side again!

How about that for a hit! The right side panel of Splinter is just hanging on by a thread, and I cannot believe that it€™s still mobile€¦ well, only just. Splinter made the series semi€™s in Robot Wars Series 4, only to get absolutely mangled in the 4th Round by Hypno-Disc, and it looks as though it€™s going to happen yet again! The Final Cut spins up now€¦

... and it has now ripped open one side of Splinter completely, exposing the mechanics! Leo puts the controls down, I think he€™s given up already! The Final Cut slams into the side again for the final blow!

The flywheel of The Final Cut spins Splinter away, and out comes some internal parts! Dear oh dear. Refbot comes in for the final countdown!

There's Steve McGregor in the first control booth on the controls of Wedge Devo, and Tracy Farber on Megabyte's controls in the other booth. The house robots who will be controlling the fight is Matilda with the flywheel of doom, and Lancelot with the pincers and tracks.
3... 2... 1... ACTIVATE!!!
Refbot gives the green light, and immediately, look at this! Wedge Devo gets under the ground clearence of Megabyte before it gets up to speed, and flips it up in the air, and Megabyte comes down with a huge thud back on its wheels! Now, Megabyte gets a chance to spin up, and it crashes into the side of Wedge Devo without notice!
CRASH!!!
The side skirts are bent slightly, and sparks fly! The audience loves those sparks, and Wedge Devo turns on Megabyte, and flips it onto its back! Now, Megabyte is in trouble here already, it's trying to self-right, but it can't really seem to do so, because it has got no REAL srimech. Wedge Devo now slams into Megabyte and pushes it into Lancelot's pincers with its pushing power! Now, Lancelot comes in, and grabs hold of Megabyte! Megabyte is being dragged towards the saws! BZZZZT! Megabyte just gets ground up by the saws there, and now, Wedge Devo slams into the 2003 RFL champion that is Megabyte, carries it to the wall, and fires the flipper!
FLIP!
Just not high enough, and Megabyte bounces off the wall and comes back into the arena! Wedge Devo presses the pit button but now in comes Megabyte with a slam on the side!
CRASH!!!
The skirt that was previously bent is now completely ripped off! Wedge Devo does not like that one bit and it gets underneath Megabyte again and flips it over onto its back! Megabyte begins to spin frantically, and Tracy up in the booth looks focused, but Wedge Devo just slams into the former champ of the RFL, and carries it to the wall! Now, it fires the flipper... will the plan work this time...
FLIP!
... NO, it does not! Megabyte escapes its doom once again, and now, Wedge Devo directly gets underneath Megabyte which is still on its back! It carries it ever so close to Matilda's flywheel, and fires the flipper...
FLIP! CRASH!!!!
Megabyte gets it good on the base armour and lands back on its wheels! Now, Megabyte is still moving, but something is wrong... its ability to spin has been disabled by Matilda, it looks like! This does not look like a good day for Megabyte, here. Its weapon is gone, which also means the srimech does not work anymore, as well. Wedge Devo comes in at full speed ahead, gets underneath Megabyte, and flips it!
FLIP!
That will do it for Megabyte. The wheels are spinning, but there is no movement in the weapon. The Refbot goes over there and starts counting it out!

A brilliant machine has been ousted from the competition, and now, in comes the house robots! Matilda plays with Megabyte with its front forklift tusks, and Lancelot puts Megabyte on the drop zone! What will we see today, I wonder? 3... 2... 1...

It's a set of shotput balls and bowling balls falling on top of Megabyte from 38 feet above! Now Megabyte will be deposited into the pit by Wedge Devo any minute now... BOOM! Down it goes!

Now, presenting your house robots for this battle: Mindbender with the spinning hammers of doom, and Sir Killalot, with the claws and the drill/spear/lance-type thing, whatever it is. :lame:
3... 2... 1... ACTIVATE!!!
Refbot gives the green light signal and scurries for his life as The Final Cut spins up. He doesn't want to be like Splinter in the last battle, I would imagine. :proud: Now, Bandwagon plays the brave fool and slams frontally into The Final Cut's flywheel!

Sparks fly, Bandwagon goes spinning out of control, and the audience loves it! Bandwagon fights back, and charges into The Final Cut before it spins up, and flips it over! Now, The Final Cut has spun up to full speed, and now it also slams into Bandwagon's side!

Sparks fly and Bandwagon spins away again! All the work is being done by The Final Cut, here. Very impressive machine, I must say, it made it into the semi's last year with Yet Another Cut Above the Rest, but was beaten by Intrigue in the Round of 16. Anyway, Bandwagon now gets over to The Final Cut before it reaches full speed, sparks are flying, but Bandwagon is carrying The Final Cut into the CPZ of Sir Killalot! Sir K grabs The Final Cut and puts it over the saws! BZZT! The sparks are continuously flying, and still, The Final Cut is withstanding all of the harsh punishment here! The Final Cut gets away and spins up! Now, it slams into Bandwagon's side! Bandwagon tries to get away...
CRASH!!!
Too late. :lame: Bandwagon's armour withstanding the punishment very nicely but it spins away towards Mindbender's CPZ! Better get out of there, Bandwagon, you don't want to taste the hotness of those spinning hammers. :proud: However, Bandwagon seems to be in trouble as it isn't running so smoothly! It's still moving, that's for sure, but I think that attack by The Final Cut actually damaged some of the inside parts! Bandwagon is in all sorts of trouble here as it tries to get away from that CPZ! Mindbender is going to make Bandwagon pay for disturbing his peace and quiet!

OH MY GAWD! That hit sends Bandwagon spinning away, and I think Bandwagon is out of it, to be honest... Bandwagon is still running in circles and Refbot is coming to count it out!

That will do it! Bandwagon spins into the pit rather awkwardly, but now The Final Cut spins up and takes on Sir K! It slams into the side, where the tracks are!

The house robots... the big daddies, King Arthur with the clamping mouth and rear flywheel, and Mr. Psycho, with the grabbing hands and huge hammer.
3... 2... 1... ACTIVATE!!!
This battle is a grudge match of last year's final in Heat K. The Final Cut was known as Yet Another Cut Above the Rest, and it won the battle in a close judge's decision with Wedge Devo. Now, the question is, will history repeat itself here, I wonder? Wedge Devo tries proving that wrong by carrying the discbot into the wall! Now it fires the flipper with massive force!
FLIP!
Eh? How did that not go over the wall? :crazy: The Final Cut bounces right back in, and spins up to fight another moment or two! Now, it attacks Wedge Devo with the flywheel with massive force! Wedge Devo tries turning...
CRASH!!!
The skirt is ripped clean off of its sockets, and Wedge Devo goes spinning away and crashes into the wall with some massive power! However, it seems oblivious to the attack, and gets under the ground clearence of The Final Cut! Now, The Final Cut is in major trouble here, as it gets carried into the wall once again! The 7th seeds find themselves on the brink of oblivion! This would be a terrible shock if it crashed out of here! Will it go out...?
FLIP!
NO it does not! Luckily for The Final Cut, it bounces off the wall AGAIN! The Final Cut spins up now, and tries to get the side of Wedge Devo!

The other skirt is ripped off as if it was paper, and there is also a small dent in the armour! But WAIT A MINUTE! Wedge Devo turns and The Final Cut is in trouble here as it gets carried to the wall! Is this it for the 7th seeds?!

AJ says no once again to the attack and gets the heck back in the arena! Now, The Final Cut spins up, and slams into the side of Wedge Devo! Wedge Devo tries to turn with the wedge...

A big scratch is made in the armour and Wedge Devo spins into Mr. Psycho's CPZ! The hammer comes down with massive force! Wedge Devo, you don't want to be in there...

....too late. :lame: Wedge Devo is pounded by the hammer, but it's still able to run freely, and now, The Final Cut spins up again, and this time, it slams into the back of Wedge Devo with the flywheel...

The attack causes some scratches but nothing too major has happened, fortunately. Now, Wedge Devo comes in, and tries now to push The Final Cut down the pit, but WAIT! The Final Cut gets away just in the nick of time, very good defense there, I must say! In comes the discbot from Shrewsbury! Now, it spins up, and slams into the sides of Wedge Devo yet again!
CRASH!!!
The attack causes another scratch in the armour, but Wedge Devo spins away, this time right into KING ARTHUR'S FLYWHEEL!!!

Steve breathes a sigh of relief as the hit is not all that bad, it just flips over Wedge Devo and makes a dent. However, luckily, it still moves freely somehow. But now, time is running out here for both of these robots!

I seem to have a relatively good chance in this next heat... I'll go for Thermidor II in this first round as it seems to be the bigger threat and I'd rather face 101 later on. If whoever entered Thermidor wants to team up though I'm up for that! :proud:

From Wales, Apocalypse 2!
Apocalypse 2 is about to spell doom for all its victims. This bad boy has Tazbot-style wheels for more maneuverabilty on the arena floor, and its weapon is a Ziggy-style 4-bar flipper for chucking robots out of the arena with ease. However it has limited gas for the flipper so it's got to be careful about using it too much.
From Norwich, Thermidor 2!
Thermidor 2 has been a 2-time semi-finallist in Robot Wars, only to get beaten by Pussycat and Typhoon in those semi-final appearences. It's got the nasty flipper which has flipped countless robots out of the arena, but it has exposed wheels and the armour is quite questionable. Will this lobster be eaten in the first round?
From Kettering, 101!
101 has tracks made out of milk bottle washing machine parts, and an automatic spike that comes out and tries to spear other robots. It has speed and maneuverability, but the tracks are very weak... and if you don't believe me, check out what Fluffy did to it in the 5th Wars. :P

There is the newbies, Apocalypse with Liam Eliot on the controls, and Jack Orr and Lian Walsh on the controls of 101 and Thermidor 2. The house-bots in this battle will be: Growler, Mr. Psycho's pet pooch, and also Mangled Metal with the devilicious spinning ring.
3... 2... 1... ACTIVATE!!!
Apocalypse starts zooming around the arena as soon as Refbot gives the green light signal. Now, here's 101 already pushing Thermidor around! Now, here is Apocalypse, crashing their party! Apocalypse gets underneath Thermidor 2-- OH!!! Thermidor 2 gets tossed 9 feet in the air, and just comes down with a loud thud! That flipper is powered by CO2, and uses a 4-bar system like Biohazard or Ziggy. Now in comes Thermidor, fighting back, and chasing after Apocalypse! Thermidor gets underneath the rear, and flips it! Apocalypse can self-right, fortunately. Apocalypse immediately retaliates again, and gets underneath Thermidor's ground clearence! Thermidor just gets chucked into the air, and comes down with a large thud! Thermidor goes after 101 now, and gets underneath! It carries 101 to the wall, and 101 is just trying desperately to get away, but...
FLIP!
Eh? How did that not get out?! :crazy: 101 just bounces off the wall, and back in! Fancy that, I thought 101 was done for; now, Apocalypse immediately goes after Thermidor, and gets underneath! Now, it tries to carry the lobster into the wall and try to chuck it out... but somehow it gets away! Thermidor now retaliates, and gets underneath the rear of Apocalypse! It very nearly tips the Welsh bot over, but what's this? Here comes 101, trying to save Apocalypse from danger! Now, it CRASHES into Thermidor, and tries to spear the side with the spike! Thermidor gets away, and flips 101 over, but as we all know, 101 is invertible. 101 gets away, and slams into Thermidor! Now it takes Thermidor right into the lethal spinning ring of Mangled Metal! Oh no, this does not look good...
CRASH!!!
OH!!! Just look at that! The wheel is completely shredded out of shape, and one lobster claw is completely bent! Apocalypse comes in and bashes into Thermidor, and pushes it around! Now, Thermidor is just slammed into the wall by Apocalypse, with nowhere to go but in circles! Oh dear... now, 101 presses the pit button, and the pit goes down! Thermidor looks like it may be out, and the Refbot checks if Thermidor is okay... and the countdown begins!
1... 2... 3... 4... 5... 6... 7... 58... 59... 50!!!
What... the... heck... Doesn't Refbot know how to COUNT?! :rofl: Someone please take care of Refbot... oh dear. Anyway, Thermidor 2 crashes out in the first round, and the house robots close in to eat up what is left of Thermidor. Mangled Metal spins up, and slams right into the rear end of Thermidor!
CRASH!!!!
Thermidor spins away near the drop zone, and now more damage is done to the armour! A battery comes out of the machine, and there is no more movement in there whatsoever. Now, Growler takes a nibble at Thermidor, and puts it in the middle of the drop zone! The lobster is about to be turned into soup, perhaps? :proud:
10... 9... 8... 7... 6... 5... 4... 3... 2... 1... CRASH!!!
OH!!! A giant flat screen TV comes tumbling down onto Thermidor from 10 meters above the arena! Finally, Apocalypse spares Thermidor 2 from any further humiliation and disposes of it in the pit. BOOM!

From Toronto, Ontario, and the number 9 seeds, Super Gore Septua!
Listen to the CHEERS of the crowd! Super Gore returns again, this time with a much bigger pair of pincers. The weapon system runs on gas, and it's much powerful than last time... looks dangerous. It's got a top speed of 20mph MAX, but its average is 12mph. Running on tracks, this robot could really go all the way this year. Who knows? ;)
From Bedford, The Maori Dance Formerly Known as Ha-ka!
Ha-ka is a Storm 2-shaped robot, with a really strange weapon. It's an axe and a flipper combined into one and powered by nitrogen. The flipper can be used to flip opponents up to 250kg and also has 0mm ground clearence on the front. However, its rear end has 6mm ground clearence, so it COULD be vulnerable to flippers... :P
From Shrewsbury in Shropshire, Fissure!
Fissure competed as Rupture in the last war, losing to Killobite in the second round. Fissure has a box wedge shape with sloped sides, and its main feature is the huge lifting arm at the front, which is powered by some hydraulics. Fissure also has 2 S28-400 mags to get up to 12mph, and could possibly put a puncture through other robots' winning chances.

There is the ninth seeded Super Gore Evo, with Kody Kunz on the controls, and there are Ha-ka and Fissure in the other booth with Matt Fowler and Andy Jackson on the controls, respectively. As for the house robots, they will come in the form of Gorgon with the great fangs, and Matilda with the tusks and terrible flywheel.
3... 2... 1... ACTIVATE!!!
As usual, Refbot gives the green light to start the match, and immediately, Ha-ka goes after Fissure, pushing it around the war-zone. Ha-ka flips over Fissure into a wall, and Fissure self-rights. Now, Super Gore comes into the action, and trying to grab a hold of Ha-ka! But it gets away, and now, in comes Fissure from Ha-ka's rear end, trying to get underneath! Ha-ka responds with the axe, and it whacks the top armour of Fissure. Only, it's not doing much damage... just doing scratches. Now, Super Gore comes in, and slams into Ha-ka, and now it clamps it hard with the Kan-Opener style claws! Kody drives Super Gore into the CPZ, and he's taking Ha-ka with it! Ha-ka, don't you realize that Matilda's flywheel is by your side...?
CRASH!!!
... too late. The armour is shredded, and now, in comes Fissure! Fissure uses the 0mm ground clearence on the front to get under Ha-ka, and now, it lifts Ha-ka up into the air, and carries it into the saws! BZZT! Sparks fly, and the audience loves it! Ha-ka is in all sorts of problems here at the moment! Fissure tries to carry Ha-ka into the pit button... BUT WAIT! Ha-ka gets away miraculously from Fissure, but it's sort of limping along here. I think the saws did damage to the wheels, and I think that's what caused Ha-ka to limp. Super Gore presses the pit button, and the pit goes down with the siren. Fissure is still trying to pursue Ha-ka, and now it gets underneath the side! Now, it takes Ha-ka for a ride... and flips Ha-ka into Matilda's flywheel!
CRASH!!!
OH!!! The weapon is BENT, and Ha-ka has become weaponless! Now, Fissure flips Ha-ka onto its back, and I think Ha-ka is done for, to be honest... the weapon is gone, and there is no srimech if the weapon is gone. Refbot is no longer amused and starts counting it out!
1... 2... 3... 4... 5... 6... 7... 8... 9... 10!!!
Ha-ka is outta there, and now it becomes a chew-toy for the house robots! Gorgon slams into Ha-ka, and sinks its fangs right into the underbelly, and pushes it towards Matilda's flywheel! Oh dear...
CRASH!!!!
Ay-yi-yi, some more armour goes flying, and I think that is the end for Ha-ka. Gorgon, knowing that Ha-ka has been beaten, doesn't have to do anything else but to just simply dump it down the drain. BOOM! Good-bye!

Apocalypse II vs. Fissure
Barring the usual realism aspects with Apocalypse, I think it could win it in one flip. :P Fissure will make it pay though by flipping it over a lot forcing Apocalypse to use up a lot of flipping power, and I don't see that one winning flip from Apoc happening before then, so I'll go with Fissure.
Super Gore Septua vs. 101
Two tracked machines, one winner. 101's actually a decent machine, but I still think I can win this one easily. Keep the front facing him at all times and he won't be doing anything fast. Driving up the scoop will beach him, so clamp him and get him into the pit.

Kody is correct - my plan is to keep turning Apocalypse II over until it runs out of gas. I think I should have enough lifts to get the job done before he does. As always, use the house robots and the hazards when necessary.

Ok, just avoid those claws at all costs. Try me best to get around him whilst avoiding the claws and shove him into
anything that i can find. Taking advantage of any driving errors (fat chance of that happening) that occurs. And try
to pit it.

Liam: Very good robot, so it'll probably be a difficult fight. Apocalypse will use its agility and zero-ground clearence on the front to get under the side or back of Fissure, (any part will do) and flip it out ASAP. If that doesn't work, Apocalypse will dump Fissure down the pit hopefully.

Liam: Not VERY, but I'm thinking I can take him on.

Let's have a look at the teams; Liam Eliot is at the controls of Apocalypse... and there's Andy Jackson in the other control booth, controlling Fissure. Presenting your house robots for this battle... The big daddies, KING ARTHUR AND MR. PSYCHO!
3... 2... 1... ACTIVATE!!!
Refbot's giving the green light for go. Apocalypse immediately goes searching for Fissure, but Fissure finds Apocalypse first, and tries to get underneath! However, Apocalypse is quick at 15mph, and gets away! Fissure is slightly slower at 12mph, but not to be underestimated of course. Now, here comes Apocalypse, getting underneath Fissure and flipping it-- OH!!! Apocalypse flips Fissure 10 feet in the air and it lands back on its wheels with a stomach-wrenching thud! Apocalypse is looking very good here, and now Fissure fights back! Fissure gets under the skirts of Apocalypse and lifts it up! Now it SLAMS Apocalypse into the wall, with massive force! Apocalypse does not like it one bit, and backs into the pit button! The pit goes down, and Apocalypse gets under Fissure! Now it SLAMS the machine from Shrewsbury RIGHT INTO KING ARTHUR'S FLYWHEEL!!!

The armour has a scratch in it, and Fissure gets tossed right onto its back! However, the lifting arm rights Fissure back onto its wheels! Now, Fissure slams into Apocalypse! It gets underneath, and Apocalypse is in peril here! Fissure lifts up Apocalypse, and drags it towards the pit of doom! Apocalypse needs to get away and fast, but it is very near the pit-- OH! Apocalypse gets away by the skin of its teeth, an outstanding defense there by Liam Eliot! Apocalypse and Fissure are still duking it out, but Apocalypse has the advantage as is getting underneath Fissure and SLAMMING it into Mr. Psycho's CPZ! The hammer comes down from Mr. Psycho!
WHAM!!!
The armour takes a beating, but surprisingly, it's withstanding the blows well here. Fissure gets away from the CPZ, and rams Apocalypse and gets underneath the skirts! Now, it lifts Apocalypse up in the air, and right into King Arthur's arse goes Apocalypse!
CRASH!!!
OH!!! King Arthur just tosses the Welsh machine into the air and one skirt is totally bent! Now, Apocalypse is okay, and it gets away, attacking Fissure! Fissure gets flipped-- OH!!! Lord have mercy, that robot is flying, and almost out of the arena! Fissure is okay, it self-rights and retaliates! Now, it gets underneath the damaged skirt of Apocalypse, and lifting it up! Apocalypse is in peril here again, and tries frantically to get away! Fissure is just determined to end this fight once and for all, as it drags Apocalypse ever closer to that pit of oblivion! Apocalypse is on the brink of defeat! Fissure is now about to end this battle! Will Apocalypse go down... YES! It's over!

There's Super Gore Septua, and Kody Kunz in the first control booth, and 101 being controlled by Lian Walsh in the other booth. The house bots in this fight will be Mindbender with the spinning cage and Shunt with the bulldozer scoop lifter and the diamond edged axe.
3... 2... 1... ACTIVATE!!!
Super Gore, first to move, immidiately darts away to press the pit button, and the pit opens. Now it slams into 101's side with a thump, and clamps the sides tightly! Now, this means that Super Gore can push it to anywhere it wants! 101 is pushed into the saws by Super Gore, and those tracks are in danger of snapping off if they come into contact... BZZT! Thank god that didn't touch the tracks. Anyway, 101 is trying to get away, and it does somehow. 101 is one of the many robots we all know very well. It made it all the way into Round 5 in Series 3 of Robot Wars, only to get beaten by Hypno-Disc in a judge's decision. Super Gore is a very impressive machine as well, as it went to the Series Semi-Finals. It got beaten by Son of Ripper in the first round of the Semi's. Now, it slams into the sides of Super Gore Evo, and pushes it into the wall! Ouch, that's going to leave a mark. Super Gore is not done yet; it clamps 101 tightly in its grasping claws! Now, it pushes the Robot Wars veteran into Shunt's CPZ!
WHACK!
The axe comes down hard on 101 and makes a hole in the armour! 101 is in all sorts of troubles here, it seems like. Oh dear... BUT WAIT! 101 suddenly has shown a sign of life! It's miraculously gotten away a second time and now, 101 immediately rams Super Gore, and tries to push it into Mindbender's CPZ! However, the ninth seeds are not done yet as it gets away! Super Gore turns, and darts for 101, and grabs it tightly once again! It looks like Super Gore is trying to take 101 into Mindbender's CPZ! Oh no, I have a bad feeling about this...
CRASH!!!
OH GOODNESS ME!!! One track is gone completely, and there it is, lying helpless on the ground... and LOOK AT THE DAMAGE to the side of 101 there! One of the wedges is totally bent out of shape! Very good driving there by Kody, and... oh dear, 101 is running in circles. They have got one track on their wagon, and absolutely nowhere to go... Refbot is checking if 101 is all right... and starts counting it out!
1... 2... 3... 4... 5... 6... 7... 8... 9... 10!!!
101 is outta there, and the house robots come in to dispose of the beaten machine! Now, Shunt comes in with the axe and scoop, and 101 is being pushed away to the floor flipper... 3... 2...1... FLIP! 101 soars through the air and lands back on the arena floor with a thud! Shunt now puts 101 onto the saws for a bit, and the audience goes wild as they watch flurries of sparks scatter the arena! 101 is in a mess right now, it looks like. Mindbender is spinning up, and slamming into 101 at full speed ahead!
CRASH!!!
OK now, that is just asking for more carnage. House robots, please have MERCY on the fellow roboteers! Oh dear, look at 101 there, it looks very damaged indeed! Now, Shunt is no longer amused and dumps it down the drain. BOOM!

Dan: Right, so we're down to our final two robots, both experienced and very good. However, Super Gore Septua has the edge in this battle, because its pincer equipped with the pushing power is very outstanding. But of course, Fissure is very good as well with the lifter and good traction. Quite a difficult one to decide upon, but let's go and see which robot reigns supreme!

There's Kody Kunz inside the first control booth with Super Gore Septua, seeded 9th in the competition. Also, there's Andy Jackson in the other booth, on the controls of Fissure, trying to pull off an upset. The house robots in the war-zone for tonight's heat final... Dead Metal with the claws, the sawblade, and the weapons synergy... and we also have Head Smash with the huge hammer which has more than enough force to give any of these robots a HUGE concussion. :proud:
3... 2... 1... ACTIVATE!!!
So, this is for a place in the Series Semi's. Super Gore immediately darts after Fissure, and Fissure tries to avoid the front and go for the sides. In comes Fissure on Super Gore! Super Gore gets lifted up by Fissure's lifter! Fissure is now pushing Super Gore towards the saws! BZZT! Some yummy sparks are flying, and the audience loves it! Super Gore escapes finally, and it's now time for Kody to fight back! It gets Fissure's side, and clamps it down hard! Now, Super Gore pushes Fissure into the pit button and the pit goes down! Now, Super Gore pushes Fissure into the CPZ where the hammer of Head Smash awaits!

The hammer comes down hard on Fissure, and there is a big dent on top of it! Fissure is okay, despite the huge blow on top... and Super Gore lets go of Fissure! Fissure fights back, and slams Super Gore hard on the side! Now, it lifts Super Gore up, and slams it into the wall! Oof! That's going to leave a mark. Now, Fissure competed as Rupture in the last series, and it got beaten by Killobite. Super Gore on the other hand, made it to the series Semi's, but it got beaten in the Round of 16 by so basically, this is kind of like a rivalry going on between Kody and Andy. Anyway, FIssure gets clamped by Super Gore again, and gets carried into the saws! BZZZT! Sparks fly and they love it, and now, Super Gore pushes Fissure ever so close to the pit... Fissure, on the brink of defeat here... OH!!! Fissure miraculously gets away, but isn't able to move freely! I think that the saws actually did some damage to the wheels! Fissure is limping along here, and taking advantage of that, Super Gore smacks into it! Now it pushes Fissure into Dead Metal, who is welcoming Fissure with open arms! It grabs Fissure and grinds it up with the saws, and another flurries of shower gets unleashed! I think Fissure is done for, to be honest. Fissure gets away from Dead Metal, but not from Super Gore, as it slams into Fissure once again, and it clamps the machine from Shrewsbury tightly in his clutches! Now, it drags Fissure right into Head Smash's CPZ! The hammer is about to come blasting down; oh dear, this doesn't look good...

Talk about damage, it made another big dent in the top, and Super Gore pushes Fissure around and lets go of it... but wait a second... HAS FISSURE STOPPED MOVING?! Andy puts the controls down and watches as Refbot begins the final countdown for Fissure!

Fissure has been eliminated from the competition, but the house robots aren't done yet with it, it looks like! Fissure has now turned into a plaything for the house robots... oh dear, Head Smash pushes FIssure onto the arena flipper... we will see Fissure soar through the air now... 3... 2... 1... FLIP! There we go, Fissure flies through the air and slams down onto the arena floor with a loud thud! Now, Head Smash gives the last rites, and finally dumps Fissure down the pit. BOOM! Andy smiles and claps for Kody. Gallant contender, indeed!

Hey guys. I'm here to tell you that Mark Elam sent me a PM way back in January while he was still here; he told me to replace his entries with new ones. However, upon further investigation, I realized that one of his new entries had the exact same name as Alex McW's robot. Therefore, if it's okay with Mark, I could change this entry back to Lightning XP1.

From Wales, Brutallis 2.1!
Brutallis is capable of brutal punishment to the opponents, with a front hinged flipper, and it's shaped like Dantomkia so it can't get stuck on its side. It's got tough-armour, 2 grippy wheels, and great manueverability. However, the flipper can't really damage the opponent, and it's got limited gas supply. Good robot, though.
From Northampton, Smashy Smashy!
Smashy Smashy is a newcomer to the competition, but not to be underestimated. It's got 25mph top speed, and the weapon is a 4kg meat tenderizer hammer, with 600kg of huge force. Can you say, OUCH?! However, I am not such a BIG fan of that titanium armour.

SOTAR stands for Sit on this and Rotate and it's a massive full body ring spinner with attitude. The spinning ring is made out of 15mm thick Ti/V Alloy, and it has 3 teeth to rip and tear. However, I don't like the base armour so much... but you gotta get past the spinner first! :shock:

It's an all-newcomer battle, with Liam Eliot and Tracy Farber in Booth No. 1 at the controls of Brutalis and SOTAR respectively, and in the other booth is Lian Walsh with Smashy Smashy. Now ladies and gentlemen, prepare to be dazzled by your house robots... Napoleon Botaparte with the great shoving power, and also the big daddy himself with the grabber and hammer, Mr. Psycho!
3... 2... 1... ACTIVATE!
As usual, Refbot gives the green light, and off they go! Straight away, you can see SOTAR spin away like a maniac, and immediately Brutalis slams into it before it gets up to speed! Now, it pushes SOTAR into Napoleon's CPZ! Napoleon, in turn, tries to push SOTAR into Mr. Psycho's hammer but it gets away! Smashy comes into the action here and chases after SOTAR, but SOTAR has a different plan! Now, it just barely gets away from Smashy's front, and slams into the side of the Northampton machine!
CRASH!!!
Smashy gets spun away into the wall, and damage has been caused! A gash has been made on the left side there, but Smashy seems to be okay! Now, Smashy slams into SOTAR, brings the hammer down and pushes it to Mr. Psycho's CPZ! The claws try to grab SOTAR, but the attempt is unsuccessful! Now, SOTAR is in peril here; it's still in the CPZ and needs to get out and fast! The hammer comes down on SOTAR!
WHAM!!!
That causes very little damage and SOTAR gets away! Smashy tries to have another go at SOTAR, and it slams its hammer down! Not too much damage cause there, just a dent! Now, SOTAR spins up again, and crashes itself into Brutalis without any notice!
CRASH!!!
The attack causes Brutalis to spin out of control and it leaves a scratch in the armour, but it has no damage to the insides. Brutalis slams into SOTAR and pushes it into the saws! BZZZT! The forecast calls for showers of sparks and the audience sure loves that as well, it looks like! Sparks are a thing of beauty, let me tell you that... :proud: Anyway, the damage is very little again on SOTAR, and now, it spins up to full speed! Smashy plays the brave fool and SLAMS directly into it, front first!
CRASH!!!
Sparks fly, and the audience loves it! Smashy is spun away violently into Mr. Psycho's CPZ! Oh, I would not recommend going in there, because apparently... Mr. Psycho is about to come blasting away with the hammer!
WHAM!!!
The hammer lands with a painful thud on the 5mm titanium armour of Smashy! Now, Smashy presses the pit release button, and the siren goes off. That siren gave me chills running down my back, to be honest. :proud: Right, the pit goes down, and now where are we...? Ah, yes; I see SOTAR coming at Smashy's left side, with massive force! It tries to get away, but...
CRASH!!!
WHOA! That hit sends Smashy spinning into the wall, and I think that caused some damage to the internal parts of the machine! You can see that it's running in circles with nowhere to go, really. SOTAR slams into Smashy--

OH, what's this?! Brutalis tries to save Smashy by slamming into SOTAR, there! However, I doubt that Smashy will come back into this battle, to be honest really. Brutalis and SOTAR continue to do battle as Refbot counts Smashy out of it!

Smashy is going out of there, and now the House Robots have their share of fun. Napoleon Botaparte comes in for the kill and slams into Smashy, and now it puts Smashy onto the floor flipper! The flipper will be activated any time now... 3... 2... 1... FLIP! There we go! Smashy tumbles back onto its wheels after soaring 8 feet into the air! Now, Mr. Psycho comes into play, and the grabbing hand pick up Smashy into the air, putting Smashy on the DROP ZONE?! Oh no, how merciless is THAT?! Smashy is placed on the middle of the X-marked rectangle, and finally a photocopier is about to come crashing down on Smashy!
10... 9... 8... 7... 6... 5... 4... 3... 2... 1... CRASH!!!
Smashy gets hit by the photocopier real hard, and the photocopier is put into the pit by Napoleon! Now, Brutalis is also trying to push Smashy down there, but I don't think there's any room! What a fantastic battle this is! Anyway, it counts as a pitting, so...

From Shrewsbury in Shropshire and the 11th seeds, Psyclonizer!
Psyclonizer is back with more carnage factor! Last year's heat finallist wants to go way farther this time around, with a much improved weapon system. It's virtually Gyrobot and Son of Whyachi merged together, and the spinning hammers can cause massive amounts of damage to another machine easily if its armour is not tough enough. The whole shell weighs approx. 35kg, and spins at about 2500RPM. Exposed wheels are an issue, but again, you gotta get past the spinner first! :shock:
From Texas, in the USA, Oxy-Gene!
Oxy-Gene is one heck of a good robot. It has a Biohazard like shape, with skirts that are virtually impossible to get underneath. It has a 15mph top speed, and it's got a huge Ziggy-style flipper to toss robots over the fence. However, the skirts are weak and can easily be broken, and the flipper has limited CO2.
From Glasgow, in Scotland, Venus Flytrap 2!
A flipping good machine with attitude, and running on two C40-500's. Its flipper mechanism is not what you think it is, though. When a robot gets trapped on the barbed wedge, then the flipper mechanism fires at the same time, causing the opponent to be trapped inside. However, the weapon system is highly untested.
Roboteers, Stand By...
Right, there's Andy and Steve on the controls of Psyclonizer and Venus Flytrap in booth 1, and Mark Elam controlling Oxy-Gene in the other booth. The house robots in this fight are going to be Matilda with the tusks and the evil pink flywheel arse, and Mangled Metal with all its destructive glory.
3... 2.. 1... ACTIVATE!!!
Off we go to another epic battle! Refbot gives the green light, and immediately, Psyclonizer spins up! Venus Flytrap looks very strange... I wonder how exactly those weapons work. We'll see later on hopefully... but of course Psyclonizer is the one to watch for here! It has spun up to its maximum potential, and you can't even see the blades on that thing! It slams directly into the side of Oxy-Gene! It tries getting away but...
CRASH!!!
OH!!! Off goes one skirt from the machine, and now, Oxy-Gene is in trouble here already, it looks like! It's still moving, but one skirt is gone! Now Venus Flytrap moves into the party, and goes for Psyclonizer who has not yet reached full speed! It spins and slides under the spinner from Shropshire! Now it fires the jaws and Psyclonizer gets flipped onto its back! Venus Flytrap tried to trap Psyclonizer but ended up flipping it instead! However, Venus Flytrap will score points on that, and now, Oxy-Gene slams into Psyclonizer! It flips the spinning machine over again! Oxy-Gene now tries to carry Psyclonizer to the wall... the 11th seeds are in peril, are we going to see a shocker here?!
FLIP!
NO we aren't! For a minute there, I thought Psyclonizer was going to go over the barrier! Now, Psyclonizer gets away, and spins up. Now it tries to slam the spinner into Oxy-Gene once again, but Oxy-Gene also has got its front ready and here they come on a full frontal collision!
CRASH!!!
Oxy-Gene takes a huge beating and spins away into Matilda's CPZ! Matilda is now about to show Oxy-Gene that it does NOT belong in her CPZ, but just when Matilda is about to bring in her flywheel, Oxy-Gene scurries away for its dear life! However, the front wedge of Oxy-Gene looks pretty battered, due to the massive showdown that it had with Psyclonizer. Now, Venus Flytrap slams into the side of Oxy-Gene and pushes it into the pit button, and the pit opens! Venus Flytrap now has a go at Psyclonizer! It tries to slide one flipper underneath...
CRASH!!!
OH!!! Sparks fly, and Venus Flytrap gets spun away after the hit! The barbs are a bit bent on there, but still, no major damage being caused to it. Oxy-Gene on the other hand, is just... battered. In comes Psyclonizer again on Oxy-Gene, spinning madly!
CRASH!!!
DESTROYED. That's all I can say, really... Psyclonizer has spun Oxy-Gene and it's sent crashing into the CPZ of Mangled Metal, and now Mangled Metal spins up... oh no, this is about to get ugly...

... and that, I think will do it for Oxy-Gene... it is no longer moving and the Refbot is starting to count Oxy-Gene out!

Oxy-Gene is outta there, and the house robots now close in to have some fun with it! Matilda slams into it with the fully spun up flywheel, and--

The attack flips Oxy-Gene onto its back, and now Matilda puts it onto the floor flipper, and now we will see Oxy-Gene fly through the air... 3... 2... 1... FLIP! Oxy-Gene comes tumbling onto the arena floor near the pit, and finally, Mangled Metal nudges Oxy-Gene in to end it all.

It seems that Oxy-Gene is still at the shallow end of the gene pool.

There is Andy Jackson, also known as AJ, at the controls of Psyclonizer in the first control booth, and at the controls of SOTAR, there is Tracy Farber in the other booth. In this battle, the house robots will be in the form of scorpion-like claws and a circular saw, and also in the form of jaws and a rear cutting disc. That's right, it's Dead Metal and King Arthur!
3... 2... 1... ACTIVATE!!!
So, first things first, both robots spin themselves up. Refbot scurries away after he gives the green light, because I assume that he does not want to face either spinner. :proud: Anyway, SOTAR gets up to speed first, and slams into the Mechanical Noise champion!
CRASH!!!
Both robots spin away out of control! Now, Psyclonizer seems undamaged by the attack, fortunately. Psyclonizer, of course, one of the most successful robots up to date here. It has won countless competitions, including the aforementioned Mechanical Noise, and now, it slams into SOTAR and fights back!
CRASH!!!
OH!!! The spinners collide again with massive force, but again, both of them come out unscathed! Now Psyclonizer spins up and tries to press the pit button... and totally shreds it upon contact. :angry: Nice piece off of there, Andy, but you'll end up paying for it later. Anyway, Psyclonizer and SOTAR collide again at full speed!

Good gracious. That hit sounded like the sky was falling, literally. Both robots spin away, but again, no damage has been caused to either of these robots. Psyclonizer, as with all previous contestants, is looking forward to go way farther this year. Last year, it got pummelled by Archangel of the Abyss in the heat final--

... and it has given SOTAR a bitter taste of its spinning hammers again! It spins away and gets slammed into Dead Metal's CPZ! Dead Metal's going to make sure SOTAR does not belong there! The pincers grab SOTAR and the saw comes down on it! BZZT! The flurries of sparks scatter the arena floor! SOTAR is actually doing very well here, you saw it tear through Smashy Smashy in the previous battle. Now, both robots spin up, and collide with each other with massive force again!
CRASH!!!
OMG. Both robots get spun away, and SOTAR gets slammed hard into the wall, there! Psyclonizer is trying to spin up again; but now, something strange has happened to SOTAR. It's still moving, that's for sure, but it's not spinning at all; has the impact been too much for it, I wonder? I think that something inside of SOTAR has been dislodged, and therefore, the weapon was stopped completely! Psyclonizer has completely rocked SOTAR, and Psyclonzer spins up again... oh no, this does not look good...
CRASH!!!
That attack sends SOTAR spinning away into the wall again, and I think that SOTAR may be out of it... it's not able to move freely anymore, and running in circles. Refbot comes to check on SOTAR and starts counting it out...

SOTAR is gone from the competition, and the house robots close in to have their share of fun. Ah yes, SOTAR comes crashing down back to the arena floor, and finally, King Arthur is about to dispose of it in the pit... down it goes! The 11th seeds move on!
