Wait...5 and 1?????????????????? :S
Well 101 is a robot name on its own...
105... was that a name of something? Ill go for Centurion, on a complete whim.
LOOK, IM SORRY FOR NOT BEING PATIENT AND FOR USING ALL CAPS, BUT THIS JUST ISNT MAKING ANY SENSE!!
PLEASE JUST TELL US THE RUDDY ANSWER!!
Chris...its only a question on a niche forum regarding a series that is no longer shown, dont take it so bloody seriously :lame:
Allright Chris, the robots were
CV and 101
I got it!
101 and Artemis (my old dead vapour)!!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/105_Artemishttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/105_Artemis
God bless, Wikipedia :proud:
I already gave the answer Daniel, but another clever guess nonetheless
CV...argh, Roman numerals. :P
Right enough, simple...yet I would never have thought of that. Never. :S
Excellent question, Ian. I think half the fan-fic peeps were scratching their heads on that one. LOL! :proud:
Oh and I am claiming to be the winner of that question, seeing as I was the nearest and that. :proud: :P
Well, that wasnt exactly a decent question, really. I mean, seriously, who thinks of RNs these days? Who here would seriously get what connects CV and 101?
Ian came up with a fun fact Chris, the answer isnt SUPPOSED to be the first thing you think of, thats what makes it fun and challenging...
It wasnt fun and thus the challenge was taken away from it. Theres a difference.
The only reason you think it wasnt fun was because you didnt get it!
Chris you are being totally unreasonable here period

Whats CV
CV only participated in the University challenge, it was a light blue box-shaped robot with an axe (Think Oblivion II)
Edit: What crawled up Chriss ass?

Actually, thats not true...CV also competed in Extreme 1, in the 6th Mayhem, under the name Cataclysmic Variabot. As such, its the only robot to compete in both Extreme series without being in the main series.
Daniel, nobody got it. Martijn, I am not being unreasonable, quizs are meant to have challenging answers, not impossible ones. Kody, I was expressing my opinion. Ian, I dont have a donkey.
ever did a cryptogram Chris? youd have a blast :lame:
Look, Im sorry, but that question didnt make any sense to me.

to me
Now were getting somewhere, the fact YOU didnt understand it does not mean the question is flawed and it doesnt give you the right to start yelling at people, really.
Ian here just discovered a fun fact that theres a robot whose name means 105 and another robot whose name means 101, I cant see what so wrong and evil with that. The Roman number thing was a bit of trivia and tbh most people know about Roman numbers (Queen Elizabeth II, World War II Pope Benedict XVI). That something has to be fun to be challenging isnt true either. Understanding where your tirades came from for one thing was quite challenging and in no way fun.
Look, can you DROP the droning, I SAID I was sorry. Sheesh! Its like Mark Elam in reverse.

Guys, please drop it and move on.
Cataclysmic Variabot :proud: I think there was also a FW called AM CV
You think correctly :)
I say we should do another quiz, whose willing to put questions up ?
Chris. :proud:
OK, what about a simple mathematical challenge?
What is the combined total of robots flipped out of the arena by the top three robots to do so?
...well, I suppose I could come up with a few...
*notices people cowering amid faint whimpers of no...dont...please...*
Chris, is the answer 20?
Nope. A little out.
Ill go for 17. :)
Thats even further out.
Heres a hint...the best way to answer this question is to first identify the top 3 FOOTAs, then work it out from there.
19
Chaos 2, Dantomkia, Atomic?
Ians the closest.
Heres another hint...the maximum number it could be is 27, as the maximum number of robots any one robot has thrown out is 9.
Kody: The list needs one readjustment.
(Message edited by Dinowarrior on September 08, 2008)
Is it 22?
(Message edited by bad_seed on September 08, 2008)
22
Ian got it correct. The correct answer was, indeed, 22.
Simple maths, really. 9 + 7 + 6 = 22.
9 = The number of robots Dantomkia flipped out.
7 = The number of robots Firestorm flipped out.
6 = The number of robots Chaos 2 flipped out.
Ah, Firestorm. Didnt know they flipped out 7 bots.
