Nidhogg v Worck
Yet another Joey v Paul match!So far Joeys Nidhogg is undefeated, but Pauls Worck is thus far unseen in this competition!
Looking on from the corners of the vast arena are Sir Killalot and Matilda!
Worck is a low edge with a front-hinged flipper capable of putting Nidhogg OOTA!Also Joey is going to have his work cut out trying to get under Worck to use his crusher as it has wedges all the way around!

Worck comes straight in on the attack, but doesnt dare face Nidhogg straight on, instead choosing to steer and try a side attack!
Nidhogg turns to meet it though and the two robots meet face to face!Neither can get under the other, but Joey manages to wedge those forks into the front of Worck and lifts it off the ground!Worck still has its rear wheels on the floor, however, and wont be pushed around.Eventually refbot comes in to separate the two combatants, therefore resuming the fight.
Worck reverses away and tries to get around the side again, this time Nidhogg turns too slowly and Worck slides underneath the rear end, flipping it over!Before Nidhogg can self-right Worck pushes it into the angle grinder and flips it again, this time rolling it onto its side!Nidhogg self-rights but finds itself back on top of Worcks flipper!The next thing Joey knows Nidhogg has been flipped again, and falls head-over-heels over the side wall!

As Worck does a victory spin Joey commiserates by gallantly applauding his opponent.
Nidhogg finally falls (literally!) !

Name: Supreme Glory Omega
Weight: 100kg
Armour: 20mm Lexan and LexiGuard compound and 4mm Grade 5 Titanium skirts.
Speed: 18mph, running of 2 x S28-400 MagMotors running at 24v.
Shape: Box shaped with Ti skirts on each side.
Weapon 1: An 11kg Aluminium alloy axe powered by liquid Nitrogen running at 1000psi. The axe mechanism is a rack and pinion system, using a 100mm stroke, 80mm bore pneumatic cylinder.
Strengths: Strong armour and very manoeuvrable.
Weaknesses: Axe only works if something is in front or behind the robot.
Ground Clearance: 0mm all around due to skirts.
Srimech: The axe self rights the robot.
Notes: The 2 wheels are made from Ti/V alloy and coated in Vulcalore to aid in traction. The robot is covered in 20mm Lexan and LexiGuard compound. The axe weighs a total of 11kg and is shaped like Excaliburs axe from series 3 of Robot Wars. This shape is designed to focus all the force on a single point, meaning it can pierce through armour easily. To stop the robot hopping around when the axe is fired, the robot incorporates a vacuum system. This system basically sucks SG0 to the ground and is mainly used when fighting pushers or robots with superior pushing power. This mechanism can be knocked on and off during the match. The robot carries 4kg of liquid Nitrogen on board and has roughly 35 hits per fight. The axe can come down with roughly 2 tonnes of force at the tip, meaning that the axe could knock certain opponents out in one hit.

Its got one hell of an axe, so watch out Paul!
The house robots that oversee this battle will be made of hot stuff- in the case of the first one, literally!Its Sergeant Bash!And following him into the arena will be the one and only shunt!
Paul recently defeated the previously unbeaten Nidhogg to take the belt, so hes not going to let go without a fight to the death!Worck is a low wedge with a front hinged flipper, it got Nidhogg OOTA so watch out Super Glory Omega!
Speaking of which, Danny isnt at all defenceless! Super Glory Omega packs an extremely powerful punch with that nitrogen powered axe, plus its got skirts all around so getting underneath isnt going to be at all easy for Worck.Could this be a telling factor?

Super Glory immediately shows its thirst for blood as it races towards Worck, which goes full on to meet it!
CRASH!
Super Glory brings its axe down at precisely the right moment and puts a nice round hole in the middle of Worcks flipper!This is good stuff early on and Super Glory doesnt stop there, dragging Worck onto the flame pit!
After letting Paul feel the heat Super Glory digs its axe out and Worck, relishing its new found freedom runs away and presses the pit rlease button.Super Glory isnt bothered and strolls up to meet Worck, sticking its axe into the bodywork this time!Super Glory pushes Worck up against the arena wall and withdraws its axe before striking again without a second thought!
This hit goes through the flipper arm and suddenly Worck is letting off gas!The axe of Super Glory has punctured one of the Co2 canisters and Paul isnt looking too happy about that!
Nevertheless Worck drives away and turns around before swerving around to meet the approaching Super Glory Omega!
CRASH!
They slam into each other, and this time Super Glory misses with its axe!This gives Worck an opportunity and Paul takes it, taking the chance of one of the skirts being pushed up by a Co2 jet to slip in underneath Super Glory and turn it over!Danny quickly self-rights and attacks with its axe again, giving Worck another hole to think about- in the other Co2 canister!Worck is now weaponless and Super Glory pushes it into the CPZ just to prove a point.
SLAM!
Shunts diamond edged axe pierces Worcks armour again.
CEASE!
After that intense battle both robots are still mobile, so a judges decision is called for!

Hang on - my oponnent is made of Polycarbonate - and that is known for being vulnerable to a weapon - spinners.

MeCannibal wants a go, and hell just tear Supreme Glory Omega into Supreme Glory ??? (What comes after Omega) I know he will not stop me spinning up, as hes way too slow, and my acceleration and traction should allow me to dodge his axe, and rip him up.

One question though, pardon me for being crocuhy, but how did Shunt pierce my armour so easily - hed struggle with 5mm Titanium, but 5mm Hardox, hell pierce it no trouble. Just curious :wink:

MeCannibal returns to challenge Supreme Glory Omega, the winner to take on Flick of the Wrist!

Supreme Glory Omega v MeCannibal 2.0
Lets take a look back at MeCannibals previous battles in the challenge belt...
1)It completely destroyed Crimson Thunder to take the belt
2)But lost to Nidhogg in an intensely close match as one of its shuffle pads took severe damage and stopped working
Looking down upon this match made in hell will be the dreadful grabbing arms of Dead Metal and the hammer of havoc, Mr.Pycho...
This will be the first time in the challenge belt competition that a spinner (in this case, MeCannibal) has come up against an axe (Supreme Glory Omega), so lets get ready for this exciting line-up to get underway!

MeCannibal immediately gets that deadly weapon up to speed and shuffles towards Supreme Glory to try and bring it into play.Closer...closer...
Supreme Glory stays by the arena wall as still as a statue until MeCannibal is just millimeters away, reversing out of trouble!But Paul was expecting the move and doesnt hit the wall as Daniel planned, instead continuing its pursuit of Supreme Glory Omega.Supreme Glory tries again, this time trying to get MeCannibal into the CPZ.But this time he isnt fast enough in making his escape!
CRASH!
The front panel is torn off as MeCannibal goes in and Supreme Glory spins away!But part of Daniels plan has worked- although managing to hit Supreme Glory, MeCannibal has driven into Dead Metals CPZ! The house robot grabs hold with his claws and moves in with its circular saw, while Supreme Glory creeps up and uses its axe!
SLAM!
Daniel hits MeCannibal right where it hurts- in the shufflepad of course! Dead Metal lets go, but MeCannibal cant escape as its now moving on one pad only!It spins up, but the length of Supreme Glorys axe allows it to hit MeCannibals bodywork without having to make contact with the spinner ring.
SLAM!
Daniel brings the axe down again, this time catching the edge of the spinner.Supreme Glory pulls MeCannibal across the arena and onto the pit.Then all Daniel does is stroll to the pit release tyre and watch MeCAnnibal sink slowly out of sight!
CEASE!
MeCannibal is swallowed up by the pit and Supreme Glory Omega gets the glory of holding onto the belt!

Liam can i give you a small bit of advice, if you leave a one line gap between after saying who is fighitng and between the intros for each robot and the start of the fight, it will look better and be easier to read. Other than that your fights are pretty ok.

Supreme Glory Omega v Flick of the Wrist

Martijn makes his debut in the challenge belt competition with Flick of the Wrist, a powerful rambot with lifting spikes that can run both ways up!
Looking on from the CPZs we have Growler, the helldog thats come out of its hell-kennel to partner Matilda, whos ready to let robot fly with that devastating spinner!
Supreme Glory Omega came out of nowhere to take the belt from Worck, and has already made a successful defence of the belt by incapacitating MeCannibal 2.0.
Flick of the Wrist has six wheels, 7mm thick titanium armour and some pretty good lifting spikes, so Supreme Glory Omega is going to have a tough battle ahead of it if Daniel wants that belt for good- as it his third battle, a victory from Supreme Glory Omega today would mean it is the permanent holder of the second belt!No pressure then, Daniel!:lol:

Flick of the Wrist is faster off the mark, heading across the arena at a decent speed, unlike its opponent which just edges forward cautiously. Just as Flick of the Wrist gets within axe range Martijn pulls it around and pushes Supreme Glory from the side, lifting it just as the axe crashes down uselessly, a second too late...
But Martijn couldnt be in a better position and rams Supreme Glory into the arena wall, propelling it sideways through the air to land in Matildas CPZ!She isnt best pleased, and wallops him with the flywheel, ripping off the side skirts and the axe head!When Supreme Glory Omega lands Flick of the Wrist is ready and rams it again, letting it slam into the angle grinder before lifting it once more, before dragging it Panic Attack style onto the flame pit!Supreme Glory fires the remnants of the axe helplessly, but to no avail as Flick of the Wrist pushes it back into the CPZ again!
CRASH!
Matildas bum collides with Supreme Glory again, ripping off a side panel and sending it cartwheeling off across the arena floor!It tries to escape from the advancing Flick of the Wrist, but is far too sluggish and Martijn easily shoves the spikes into Dannys innards, so that when it lifts it gives Supreme Glory more damage to think about!
CRASH!
Once again Flick of the Wrist has rammed Supreme Glory into the arena wall, and something fell off then!Flick of the Wrist backs away to watch as refbot comes in to check on Supreme Glory.

It seems that the component that fell off was the removable link, and so Daniel is powerless as Matilda thumps Supreme Glory again, this time sending it right OOTA in a graceful arc.

Nitro-Gene is going to have another go. See you in the ring Martijn:proud:. My plan is to get under him and flip him all day long. If hes dominating the battle, go for an OOTA.

He might have trouble getting under my skirts, so I feel fine - hes got no skirts which gives me a big advantage over him.

And I think I have the power, as hes trying to get 35hp (???) onto the floor, but is spreading it out onto 6 wheels, which means only half of it is getting down, so he has 17.5hp. I have 36hp coming from 4 motors onto 4 wheels, one motor per wheel, so thats good. Just get under and push/flip him all day long. Try and stick him in a CPZ and hope the house robots do some damage.

Armour: 9mm titanium on the wheels, 5mm Hardox for the prongs and disc.
Ground Clearance: Ermm.. Being a stinger style axlebot, it doesnt really have one. The prongs are 0mm however.
Movement: 2 stinger style wheels with Vulkanon rubber tyres, with 2 LEM130s and 4 NiCad battlepacks at 24volts.
Weapons: Spinning disc positioned in between the prongs. The idea is that the opponent will be wedged on the prongs then caught by the disc. The disc is powered by a LEM130 at 2000rpm and deals about 60kj.
Scrimech: Invertible

Flick of the Wrist v Nitro-Gene 4.0

Another of Pauls creations returns to the arena in an attempt to reclaim the belt!Nitro-Gene is very experienced in this competition, lets take a look at how its done in the past...
1)Flipped No Objections OOTA to take the belt
2)Beat Cyrilium on a JD to retain the belt
3)Lost the belt to Crimson Thunder when it was pitted.
4)Returned to challenge Nidhogg, but lost...

Watching from the CPZs we have the boxer, Cassius Chrome, and the forever deadly Sir Killalot!

Flick of the Wrist is defending the belt today, and Matrijns robot has a few tricks up its sleeve- Its a six wheel drive and has some pretty deadly diamond-tipped lifting spikes!

Nitro-Gene has the more power, and a 1000 psi nitrogen flipper to boot!There are 2x3kg bottles inside Nitro-Gene, so it can get a decent 25 flips per battle!

Nitro-Gene gets off to a fast start, running in on the attack to try and get Flick of the Wrist OOTA!But Martijn isnt a fool and dodges away, before turning around and ramming Nitro-Gene from the side, using its spikes in the middle position as ramming spikes!It hits Paul hard into the angle grinder, and the sparks fly off Nitro-Gene!Flick of the Wrist then lifts Nitro-Gene, as it was stuck against the wall the spikes could lift by getting stuck on the side and now Martijn pins Nitro-Gene onto the wall! Flick of the Wrist just reverses slightly to let Nitro-Gene fall onto its spikes and then lifts again before carrying Paul over to the pit release tyre! Carefully Martijn manouvers towards the chasm, dropping Nitro-Gene 4.0 into the darkness Panic Attack-Style!

Nitro-Gene never got a chance, Flick of the Wrist retains the challenge belt!

Flick of the Wrist v Lethal Injection

Flick of the Wrists third battle...If Martijn wins this he keps the second belt forever.

Representing the house robot team-Mr. Pyscho and Sgt.Bash!

Flick of the Wrist has already defeated Supreme Glory Omega and Nitro-Gene 4.0, both of which were pretty one-sided fights, it must be said!
So here is its third and possibly final battle in the 2nd challenge belt!

Lethal Injections looks good to me- its a stinger-shaped robot, but with static prongs and a spinning disc instead of a bludgeon.Lets see how effective this original weapon setup will be, and if Lethal Injections bark is louder or much quieter than its bite...

Lethal Injection heads across the arena, speeding up that disc, ready to cause some damage!But Flick of the Wrist is having none of it and speeds straight into them, stopping the disc in its tracks!Flick of the Wrist continues its attack, managing to get its forks around the middle axle of Lethal Injection and lifting it up!It toasts Danny on the flame pit before depositing Lethal Injection into the CPZ!Sgt Bash gets his clal around one of the prongs and squeezes it!
SNAP!
The prong falls away, detaching Lethal Injection from Sgt Bash!Quickly as he can Danny scurries away, only to meet Flick of the Wrist, which pushes him straight into an angle grinder!
CRASH!
Lethal Injection bounces off the angle grinder and finally gets that disc up to speed, swinging it round in a large circle onto Flick of the Wrists rear end!However, the disc does little but chip the titanium and Flick of the Wrist gets under Lethal Injection again, this time ramming it into the pit release tyre!But Martijn cant get the forks around the middle axle again and so cant get a hold on Lethal Injection to put it in the pit.But he manages to lift one of the wheels and tip Lethal Injection onto its side!The wheel spins and Lethal Injection wobbles madly, finall y coming down to earth with a crunch!In the dying seconds of the fight Flick of the Wrist manages to get in underneath Lethal Injectoin and tries to pit it, which it does, but Martijn pits himself at exactly the same time!

Both robots went into the pit at the same time, meaning the fight will go to a judges decision!

MeCannibal is going after Crimson Thunder, and planning to repeat the result of our earlier encounter.

WORCK is going to reverse onto Sithis and plan to bounce him into one of Daniels mini robots. After sokme of Daniels robots have been destroyed, go for the OOTA of the others.

Round 1, Battle 1:
Crimson Thunder v Supreme Glory Omega
MeCannibal 2.0
And so the first battle of the mini- competition begins!Remember, two robots advance from these three!

Looking on from the CPZs are two mechanical masterpieces, Mr.Pyscho and Dead Metal!

Crimson Thunder is a typical rambot- a strong 4 wheel drive design that can run inverted.Slightly less typical is the inverted wedge at the back, meaning a flip wont be as worrying to Crimson Thunder as it would be to some other robots, such as Storm II or Tornado.However, that inverted wedge gives it a high ground clearance at the rear and wont stop it going OOTA!

Supreme Glory Omega almost won the second belt, but was beaten by Flick of the Wrist in its third battle.Daniel is back and wants to wreak some sweet,sweet revenge on Martijn!Lets hope he at least makes it through the first round, then.

MeCannibal 2.0 is the heaviest robot in the competition, weighing in at 110kg.Paul is allowed the extra weight because MeCannibal is a shufflebot, that is to say it uses shufflepads instead of wheels, tracks or linear actuators to move.

All three bots get a kick start, as Crimson Thunder heads for Supreme Glory Omega while MeCannibal spins up. Supreme Glory is glad to see Crimson Thundre coming towards it-as soon as its in range Daniel brings the axe down and punctures one of Crimson Thunders tyres!MeCannibal, having now soun up comes in behind Crimson Thunder and rips off that rear wedge!Supreme Glory withdraws its axe beforehitting Crimson Thunder in the middle of its body , forcing it back into MeCannibal, which rips out a drive motor! Crimson Thundres in real trouble now, and when Danny tries to maneuvre it out of danger Supreme Glory gets in behind that broken inverted wedge and pushes them into Mr.Pyschos CPZ!
CRASH x 2!
Supreme Glory brings its axe down onto another of Crimson Thunders wheels at exactly the same time as Pyschos hammer comes down on the top panel, knocking it loose! Danny reverses away from Supreme Glory and Pyscho, but in comes MeCannibal!
CRASH!
The force of the attack sends Crimson Thunders top panel spinning away, leaving the innards exposed to Supreme Glorys axe! Daniel doesnt miss the chance and strikes Crimson Thunder right in the batteries!
Then Supreme Glory drags Crimson Thunder onto the flame pit where the insides fry!When he backs off Crimson Thunder goes nowhere, so refbot comes in to check the battered bot out!

Dead Metal removes Crimson Thunders corpse from the flame pit and dumps it on the arena floor flipper!
FLIP!
Crimson Thundre bounces across the arena floor and conveniently lands on the drop zone, where it meets a whole load of bowling balls!Supreme Glory helpfully presses the pit release tyre and Dead Metal does the honours of grabbing Crimson Thunder, sawing through a couple of wires and dumping it in the pit of oblivion!
CEASE!

Worck v Weapon Synergy v Sithis

After a vicious opening to the tournament Worck, Weapon Synergy and Sithis all line up for another three-way smash!

Helping them smash each other to pieces from the restraints of the CPZs will be Shunt with his phenomenal pushing power and Cassius Chrome with his...er...wiggling bum!

Worck is the most practical design in this three-way melee, but dont underestimate this robot as it was the first to defeat the winner of the first belt,Nidhogg.It did so in style, flipping Nidhogg right OOTA!

Weapon Synergy is the most original of the three!A FIVE-way clusterbot, Daniel has given each cluster a different weapon:Axe, flipper, claw, rammer and disc.Watch out!But each part only ways 20kg, so theyd better watch out for Worck!
Luckily for Daniel this tournament supports the 100% clusterbot rule, meaning all parts of the cluster must be immobilised before it is eliminated.

Sithis is an invertible full body spinner, and has fought in the challenge belt just once before, losing to Nidhogg.Its an FBS, and could rip Weapon Synergy up into teeny weeny little pieces!Teenier weenier pieces, that is!

Weapon Synergy splits up, rammer pressing the pit release and disc spinning up ready for an attack. However, flipper wasnt so decisive and Worck slips in underneath, flipping it OOTA!One down already, four to go!Worck then gets behind axe and flips it into Sithis!Axe is no more than a pile of parts now, as it lies broken on the floor! Sithis, however spins up again and slams into Worck!Worck spins across the arena floor right into the open arms of Claw, which grabs hold of it!However Worck has the weight advantage by 80kg and pushes Claw into Sithis! Claw loses a wheel and is checked up on by refbot!

Claw is eliminated, which leaves just two parts of weapon synergy to battle it out!Disc powers up and slams into Worck, loosening a side panel and sending it spinning into Sithis, which rips off the side panel completely! Worck takes after Disc, but Sithis attacks again, ripping a drive motor out of Worck!The wedge aimlessly drives in cricles, then Rammer gets in at the side and pushes it into the pit!

What a turn around!Weapon Synergy gets through the match with just two parts remaining!Sithis was never bothered, and for once originality proved to be good as the average wedge is eliminated!
